Any time, now. Lura had dropped Liralla off for a playdate with another weyrbrat, to keep the girl away while a Flight would happened. Lura looked over at Anemith's sleeping body out on the weyrledge. She was ready. She had dressed in very loose clothing for easy removal, she was sitting by the door to make a run for the Flight rooms at the first sign of Anemith's awakening, and she had sent Zamora and Zanna away. All in all, she was ready. She hoped it wouldn't be someone annoying that she woke up with. Or a child. She rolled her eyes. It would be a pity to wake up with another fresh youngling. A big man, someone with muscle, someone who had so much prowess that she might even want to go with him again. But she sighed. Really, how many people in Selenitas were worth her time? There were softies, and idiots. Nothing in between. She wanted someone rough for a casual fling in the furs with-- not a dainty little mama's boy, or someone who thought she should be groveling to be with him...
A roar stopped her dreamings in her tracks, and she looked wildly at Anemith. Shard it! Stupid, she hadn't been paying enough attention to Anemith because she was so focused on her thoughts...! Breaking into a run, Lura darted upwards toward the Flight Rooms. She needed to get there before Anemith decided to get her green, glowing behind up in the air.
She bellowed out a challenge-- both Anemith and Lura did. Lura's was only a small, human one, whereas Anemith was a loud roar. She wanted her males now! Would any dare chase her? Anemith wasn't the type to docilely fly around in the air. Anemith got involved in her Flights, flying between her males, snapping at them... Oh yes. They would know that it was she they were after, and not some random green. So very few males would escape unscathed from her wild Flight. She roared. She wanted all colors. She wanted every male...
Lura leaped into the Flight Rooms, growling ferally, lost to Anemith instantly. Every male!

Kaaoloth raised his head and bellowed an answer to the greens summons. Mine she rises! Sel’n walked out from the wyer toweling his hair dry. “Who rises?” Anemith the brown dragon replied before jumping from the ledge to join the chase. Sel’n laughed as the familiar lusty feelings coursed through his body. Tired of waiting for a queen to rise huh? She is a queen, came Kaao’s smug reply.
Kaaoloth had chased no one but Aslath since his arrival at the weyr and the build up of hormones in the brown had finally driven him to chase one he may win. He had never had a problem finding mates at Fort and Sel’n was interested to see how this would play out. Regardless the rider would have pushed his dragon to chase anyway. He too had grown tired of lying fallow. He was in need of a good rough tumble in the furs. He allowed his mind to twine with Kaaoloths the transition easy after all these turns. Kaaoloth/Sel’n made his way to the flight rooms in search of his queen of the skies.

Anemith is rising.
That was the only warning S'lain got before Jaxith rose with a long shake from his sunning spot in the open part of their weyr, and launched himself over the side with a flash of blue into a dizzying downwards spiral.
S'lain ran to the edge, unafraid of the drop as he watched the big blue fly off. Wait, you never join in flights! I am changing that.
Baffled by the sudden change in his usually level-headed mind partner, the first wave of emotion that came back to him was faint, and ignorable. Only a hint of the dragon lust he'd so long ago experienced due to the blue's usual tendency to stay away from flights. Why had he decided to join now? S'lain was no stranger to the lust and bed games, but the waves to follow were much stronger, and only strangely and vaguely familiar. He was quite unprepared for the sudden influx of overwhelming emotions from his dragon.
Remembering that there was a place for such, he made his way to the flight chambers, unsure about the experience to come. Either way, he remembered that it was usually an enjoyable thing, and a small, wry grin crossed his lips as he suddenly felt eager as a teenager. Maybe this wasn't such a bad thing after all, and if that was the case, perhaps he'd encourage Jaxith to chase more often.
~~
Bugling loudly in mixed tones of anticipation, Jaxith announced his arrival and his intentions to the world, scanning the skies for the object of his affections.

At the lusty roar of a green, Kindrith's head snapped up and around, at attention. With no hesitation what so ever, the blue jumped to his feet, trumpeting his own return roar, accepting her challenge! A short hop forward, and the big, pale blue was airborn, wings beating hard and fast to get him up off the ground, past the trees, and into the air.
Free in the sky, he twisted and spiraled upwards, gaining altitude at a phenomenal rate, all while keeping one eye or the other on the Queen of the skies. Bugling again, he leveled off finally, pouring on the speed to chase after his lovely green.
She would be his! And only his! She was his shining gem!
E'yan groaned, rolled his eyes, and trundled off across the ground. He really wasn't in the mood to deal with yet another failed flight. But it wasn't something he could change. Pulling his shirt back on, he made his way quickly to the flight room. He stepped inside quietly, walking on soft soled boots.
My, she was a pretty one, though. At least there was that!

W’ri-love, Anemith is rising!, Angth announced perkily as he jumped off of his stone couch. W’ri, who had been pouring over some scrolls borrowed from the Records room solemnly, looked up with a bored expression. Bluntly, he asked, “Well, are you going to chase her?” Yes! She really is a lively green, you know. How could I not want her? In reply, Angth shook himself of any remaining traces of slumber and bugled a reply call to the rising green. His rider chuckled at his blue’s constant chipper mood and stood to leave the Weyr. How could he say no to such a happy dragon? Besides, it wasn’t like he was going to win anyway. Angth always lost Flights. He was used to it by now. Alright. Don’t get yourself killed, Angth, he affirmed as he strode out of the door with the utmost calm. He had handled many Flights in his time; he knew how to suppress the arising lust in his mind until the very last moment necessary.
Launching himself off of his Ledge, Angth hurled himself into the air. He twisted around in space with jerky motions not unlike a tunnelsnake’s movements in search of the queen green. Trumpeting another vibrating bellow throughout the valley to announce his participation, Angth’s deep amethyst eyes spotted a few of his contenders already on the scene. He could beat them! He might not have been the best flier, but he was experienced, energetic and beautiful! His green would appreciate that and pick him, he was absolutely certain. These others were just wasting their time, especially the dirty browns!
W’ri/Angth sent an angry hiss at Sel’n/Kaaoloth as he prowled into the chambers, lost to his lust after the second bugle. Taking up a position next to the growling Lura/Anemith, the person/dragon took a defensive stance and snarled at the competition. Wasting their time, all of them! If they thought otherwise he would teach them a thing or two…

Despite the fact he was no longer Werylingmaster, the Brownrider still offered help to people in the form of helping to do their paperwork, it was almost calming to him. Ever since he had fallen ill, and was forced to give up his long standing job as the head Weyrlingmaster, F'rah had been exceptionally bored with normal Weyr life. He still couldn't understand how other Riders could put up with this slow-paced lifestyle, going out for watch duty seemed to be the only thing that was really regimented... and without the busy work of running the classrooms, the Brownrider found out that he missed the kids and their joshing.
Sighing as he dashed his last letter and placed a dot at the end of the sentence, F'rah glanced over to his loving Brown. They were both content with the women they were living with, the two females were spontaneous and a little moody but, they seemed to balance well with the Brownpair's personality. Arching an eyebrow as Styth lifted his head and turned to stare out over the Canyon, all of the man's questions were answered a few moments later as a challenging bugle ripped through the air.
/RahMine! Anemith is rising, and I will chase!/ Fine, go!
Spreading his wings with a snap, Styth lept to his feet as gracefully as he could before roaring a response to the shinning Green. Angered by the fact he wouldn't be the first one to respond, the Brown shot off of the Weyrledge and pumped his wings, doing his best to get to the level that the Green was already at. Quickly joining the other males, Styth sent out a croon to Anemith to let her know he would follow. Arching his wings to catch an updraft, the Brown rode far enough that he was slightly above the highest male.
If anything from his previous chases applied to this one, the Queen of the Skies might dive and climb and rip through jungles. Being at a slightly higher vantage point would help him either, get more speed in a dive, a fraction of a head start on a climb or allow him to skim over the tops of trees if the lovely one decided to go through them.
--
Jumping up from his chair as his Brown got to his feet, the Rider knew it was no use to argue with his Bonded over Chasing, he would just have to explain it to Laurie later. Although he was still a little weak from the sickness he had had, F'rah would challenge anyone who said he was less than fit as a fiddle. He believed he could still beat anyone at an endurance race, he'd be a little slower sure, but he could still last longer... whether or not that was all in his mind had yet to be determined. Racing through the halls, it took the Brownrider a couple of minutes to reach the Flightroom.
Styth/F'rah hadn't chased in a while, but that wasn't going to hamper him. He was a seasoned chaser, and the Brown was confident he'd put up a good fight for the Female. Anemith/Lura was prettier than he ever remembered her to be, all the more reason he wanted to win her! He would beat the Blues and prove to the other Brown that he was the best.

Darya paused in stripping Azrath of his straps after their normal sweep; there was something odd about the blue now, something focused and impatient. Hurry. Azrath demanded so urgently that Darya was shocked enough to resume work at double speed. Then she slowed again. Who is she Azrath? The rider demanded of her dragon, suddenly recognising the tone and cursing herself for not watching the greens.
Anemith. Azrath replied with a note of steel in his mental voice that suggested he was going to leap off this ledge and chase regardless of whether he was still trailing bits of leather and metal or not. Suddenly, for the first time ever, Darya was afraid of falling, or rather afraid that Azrath would bowl her off the ledge when he rose after Anemith. You must be crazy! she objected but stripped off her dragon as fast as she ever had. Anemith is… Darya trailed off in a way that suggested she couldn’t describe what exactly Anemith was with mere words, and turned sharply away into her weyr to drop Azrath’s gear on the nearest surface. Apparently she had finished just in time.
Azrath plunged off his ledge bugling an answer to Anemith as he took wing. Already other males were answering, many off them, Azrath couldn’t blame them, who wouldn’t answer such a bold challenge, and from such a pretty green too…
Darya cursed, suddenly recalling that although Azrath had been stripped in the last few minute she was still fully dressed in flight gear lacking only gloves and headgear. She was going to skin Azrath. With a snarl Darya fought her way free of her jacket on the way out the room and tossed it somewhere behind her. Who was Anemith’s rider anyway? Ah well she’d soon know. Darya raced down the stairs for the flight rooms ignoring the other riders who did the same, she couldn’t blame them, who could resist Anemith’s challenge…

So many males! Anemith absolutely crowed with glory. Sure, there were no bronzes, but who needed those fools anyway? The most sensible dragon was a brown, and she had no shortage of them! Only question was, did she like any of them? If she didn't, there was always one of those dashing young blues. So many fine choices! Pity she couldn't choose all of the ones that caught her fancy. But it would be they who had to prove himself. Well, she'd lead them on one heck of a Chase! Letting out another daring trumpet, she began her Flight with smooth zigzags, straight across the treetops, with no sign of ascending yet. Ohhh, but she would, wouldn't she? Yes, she was going to keep them confused until the last minute. She was a crafty green, she had to say. She had had enough experience in these Flights to know that she was the ultimate master, and that these were her hairy little followers. She flicked her tail flirtatiously, planning on getting her puppets worked up for her.
As her zigzags increased, they also became smaller and sharper, and she began to add a slow ascent to them. It was probably noticeable, but it was nothing compared to what she wanted to plan. Truthfully, she was just trying to right her body so that she could be at the best possible angle to shoot up. Once she was aiming around a sixty degree angle for the clouds, she brought her wings close to her body and shot upwards, pumping them as hard as she could. It would be tiring, but it would also force her males to work as hard as they could to keep up with her. She was a green, so she was speedy as it was, however, she needed to be so fast that she would catchy the bulky boys off their guard.
She grunted as she forced herself higher and higher. Once she would level off, she would feel better, but right now, it was a rough strain on her wings. At least she could look forward to a long cuddle with whatever dragon caught her after the Flight... Just the thought made her croon with excitement!
When her limit was reached, Anemith leveled off. Catching a thermal, she glided, trying to formulate a plan of attack. Oh yes, these males were going to get what they were looking for-- even if it wasn't Anemith herself... She lifted her claws, and looked back. Who would be her first victim?

Jaxith quickly spotted Anemith scooping low over the trees, her trajectory erratic in what was probably an intentionally confusing way. He let loose a tremendous roar, pumping hard to gain some ground so as to be closer to her. Then he snapped his wide wings outwards in an arch for a glide some hundred feet above her, conserving his energy for the quick bursts of speed he knew he would need. He mirrored her movements, eyes pivoted on her body language, the way she moved her wings and tail, the sinuous motions of her neck. He studied her for every sign of an impending change in direction.
With each slowly narrowing zig and zag, Jaxith's want for her grew. Such a fine beauty of a green, tantalizing them all with the promise of something wonderfully good. The deepest, animalistic parts of him wanted her for himself, and he was determined to fill that need, satisfying both of them in the process.
When each zig began to led Anemith higher, closer to him, he followed suit, trying to keep the same amount of space between them until he was certain he knew at least some part of what she had in mind, and could thereby react to it in a timely fashion.
Zig, zag, zig..
There!
Anemith shot upwards, passing Jaxith in a second. He was close on her tail though, slower due to his larger size, each strong wingbeat driving him ever higher. Far from ignoring the other males, he divided his attention, keeping most of it on the retreating green form above him while he attempted to remain aware of any incoming males, his rivals in this chase. His long form gave him an advantage in upwards climbs. He wove through the air like a snake, cutting the wind with his snout as his tail whipped behind, keeping him stable in the air.
That lovely tail above him was going to be his! He voiced his challenge in trumpet tones, letting the roar slide down the scale till it reverberated through the very air, thrumming through his bones.
Finally, she leveled off, and Jaxith angled his ascent in an attempt to rise above her and thereby gain the advantage once again in keeping tabs on this most feisty of greens. The rarefied air was harder for him to climb in, but he leveled with her, catching the same thermal and using it to rise just a bit higher, his wings again taunt like the sails of a ship as he rode the winds.

There she was! Gliding over the treetops, Angth spotted the queen of greens getting her suitors all riled up for what was sure to be a memorable flight. The blue veered towards the forest and fell directly behind the green, flying a straight line that was sure to catch up with her flashy zig-zags in no time.
Deep within his throat he rumbled a guttural, feral purring that praised her energetic and clever flight plan. Only this green would show such spunk! Inspired by her energy, Angth increased his speed, pumping his vigorous wings until he was trailing directly behind her stream-lined body. His own lashing head mimicked the flirtatious flicks of her tail, greedily snapping at empty air. This, Angth get used to!
As Anemith began her slow descent, Angth immediately realized what was going to happen. It was only a matter of time. He had waited for it anxiously, body tensed, knowing from many Flights prior that she could not keep them so low forever, despite how much he wanted this to be true. Then, suddenly, she shot up to the very heavens above! This blue was quick to catch the movement and he twisted his light body vertical in a bone-jarring jerk that rattled his jaw and kept him behind his prize.
Now, the suitor began falling behind in the perpendicular ascent, lacking the pure muscle of that the larger colors possessed. He struggled not to push himself as others passed him with seemingly effortless flaps of dwarfing wings, but Angth knew to reserve whatever little stamina he had. He would put it to better use when flying horizontal again, like earlier.
The blue leveled off gratefully and easily caught a thermal to catch up with the pack. But just so his beautiful green knew he was far from out of the competition yet, he tilted his axis ever so slightly towards the sun so the light reflected off of his scale-like markings. At such a high altitude, the sun was strong and Angth almost looked metallic. He cravingly crooned at Anemith, calling for her to see his beauty! Surely splendor such as hers deserved only the same level of magnificence that he could supply!

Kindrith found himself higher up in the flight than he had intended to be. But that soon wasn't a problem at all, as he saw Amenith go scooting across the tops of the trees in a crooked zig zag. He cruised after her, slowly wavering back and forth as he followed from slightly higher up, head and eyes tracking her every movement as his own body swayed in the air, in time with hers. He never actually zigged or zagged, being too canny to waste his energy like that. He was at a good spot for now, watching, waiting, and very very aware. He couldn't turn like that, anyway ... not quite. Far more agile than any of the browns, and some of the blues, he still wasn't as agile as that lovely green Queen of the sky. All that raw power, beautiful muscles flexing and rolling as she moved ... it made him want to tangle with her sooner rather than later ... Kindrith crooned quietly to her, in sheer admiration as he swayed back in forth, in time to her song, wings beating just fast enough to keep his more or less straight flight just as fast as the progression of her fast maneuvers.
And ah! There she went! Upwards, finally! He knew she had been going to ... she had to, eventually. One couldn't finish a flight down there ... it just couldn't happen. And being quite skilled in this kind of maneuver, Kindrith went right after her, straight up. Beating his big wings hard and fast, he powered his way into the sky. All those turns ... thirteen of them ... of flight after flight after flight, and battle after battle ... Kindrith was a very skilled blue in the air. It wasn't his fault he'd never won any flight... it certainly wasn't for lack of aerial skill! He had that in spades! Pulling a stunt as he ascended, he started a slow spiraling spin, to show off his ability in the air, all whist pulling that hard assent.
His wings started to ache from the stunt, but he didn't want to quit, not until the assent was finished ... he really wanted to show off for her! She should see him! She would see him! She would Choose him! He was the best, was he not? He was the best! And far better than any of those clumsy browns!
Kindrith was grateful when she leveled off finally, and twisted over his own back to level off and follow after her, stretching his wings wide once more, finally. Stretching wide, he caught her thermal, and rode it up after her.
If she wanted speed, he had it! If she wanted agility, he had it! If she wanted skill, he had it! Heck, even if she wanted size, he had that, too! See? He was a big, strapping blue! A little on the pale side, maybe, but freshly oiled as of yesterday, quite muscular, and a very big for his color. Kindrith put forth his best wing in everything he did, doing his best to ignore all the other males in the trailing pack. Especially the browns. He hated them with a vengance... but he also knew that the Queen of the sky always wanted the attention on her, not on the others. And he fully intended to win this flight!

Kaaoloth bugled a challenge to the other males and crooned in a sing song to the lovely green of his affections. These tiny blue ones where not worthy of a queen such as Anemith and he intended to prove it to her! He followed her zigzag pattern diligently if not quite as perfectly as her blue suitors, but that was to be expected. His bulk did not grant him as much flare in the air as these blues. When she started her ascent Kaaoloth gave a rumbling growl and pushed at the air with his large wings rising after her fast and steady. He ignored the blues as he passed his large wings making it easy to rise after her.
He did not crowd her as some of these blue ones where doing. Instead he caught a different thermal and positioned himself to her left side a few respectable dragon lengths away. He gave her a croon of appreciation before dipping his left wing and rolling to display his muscle and scars. Did not she want a male as big and strong as he? The scars on his body evidence of his abilities as a fighter. He saw the lift of her claws but gave no evidence that he had seen her maneuver. What a clever, clever queen. She intended to test her suitors. All the more reason she deserved a strong experienced male.
Sel’n/Kaaoloth returned the blue’s snarl with a quiet hiss of his own before turning to his queen. For that was what she was, the queen of the greens. He gave a quiet croon as he positioned himself at her left side a few feet away. He ignored the rest of her suitors. His eyes were only for Lura/Anemith. He would not take his eyes off such a clever green. Hard telling what she had on store for them all but he knew it would be exciting.

There! Azrath turned and dropped, picking up a little speed. Anemith was flying low, just above the treetops, which suited Azrath perfectly well, as would anything else she did. The blue joined the pack of chasers a ways back from the lead. Though he admired Anemith’s evasive course over the canopy he felt no real need to imitate it and his position allowed him to see the slight angling of her body toward the open sky quite well indeed. Clever little green…
Azrath shot upward in a nearly vertical ascent, ignoring both the other males around him and the strain he was putting on his wings, in fact he was tempted to level off a bit as Anemith took her flight higher and higher but his pride, or hard headed stubbornness, wouldn’t allow him to.
He was grateful indeed for the momentary respite of levelling out and drifted into a thermal of his own for a moment, keeping his attention on Anemith, whichever direction she darted off in Azrath would be ready!

Greens! They were so crafty and quick, it was getting rather hard to keep up with the glorious Anemith. It seemed when she zigged, he almost zagged, and vise versa, but he was able to catch himself and correct his path in time to zip in another direction. Swiveling his pinions, Styth dipped and swirled when he couldn't catch a sharp turn here or another one their, doing his best to compensate for the difference in speed between a Green and a Brown. The tree tops brushed his talons as they sped over the forest, but every twist or so, they seemed to be getting higher and more angled. It was like Anemith was leading them up a strange kind of staircase.
Ahah! For the Brown, climbing was far easier to do than the zig zags that the Queen of the Skies had been putting them through only moments before. Arching his back and spinning upward, Styth drifted slightly to to side to avoid another male who had angled up at the same time, ignoring the other male after his move. Strong wings propelled him upward, and although he like the others was feeling the strain, at least in this endeavor he could shine for the Green!
Huffing quietly as Anemith finally leveled off, Styth crooned, taking in her beauty once again. Stretching his wings out, the Brown gilded behind the Green, letting the thermals carry him so his wings could recuperate, at least for the moment.

Anemith warbled proudly. She had heard some of the males that chased her were calling for her, which pleased her. Still, it wouldn't make her biased toward them. All in all, they were just losing energy. But what pleased Anemith was that it was all for her. She had the males practically doing flips for her! These boys were at her beck and call. She was their master. She owned them. And this was precisely why she was going to get right into their face. She wanted to prove to them that it was she who was the dominant dragon. But these boys would soon find out that not only would she say that she was the dominant, but she would also prove it. She would turn these males into females for her! In skies where dragon against dragon occurred only in most desperate situations, Anemith was determined to rectify it. The North had given dragon fighting a bad name. Humans sometimes liked pain for sexual pleasure; Anemith happened to be one of these sadists.
Dipping a wing, she spun backwards quickly into her males. Coming up against Kindrith, she struck him with her claws, wanting badly to draw blood. She wanted the sky to rain blood today! She let out a long bellow to warn the other males that they would be next. If there were any weaklings in the crowd, she thought it would be wise of them to give up now. Of course, she'd let them discover that themselves. After all, didn't they want her? Hopefully, their desire for her would overcome their worry of being injured.
Executing a perfect barrel-roll, she made sure to collide directly into Angth. However, since she wasn't done with her Flight just yet, she needed to get off of him. Using him as a launch, she pushed off of him with her claws. She hoped she leaved scratches! The thought made her nearly drown in lust. How she loved a scar-stricken dragon to catch her! If he was able to pull himself out of that state, then more hope for him! If not, then he would just be proved to be another little weakling. Adding insult to injury, she flicked her glowing tail in his face as she rushed as far away from the males as possible. She needed more time to come up with more ideas...
And she thought of one! How could she have overlooked such a bold move? Hissing, she bent in a steep dive, aiming for the river beneath the Falls. As the wind whipped at her face, she was able to keep her eyes open in narrow slits. To make sure her plan worked, she needed to be able to see. Just when she was about to collide with the river, she pulled up, at an angle so sharp that she almost back-flipped. Startled, she righted herself. Did anyone fall into the water? She hoped so. She loved knocking males out of the sky.
