Gina knew that the inevitable had come. It had been a long time since her Green had flown, and the Dragon had been quickly gaining her glow. It always astounded the rider that her Bonded could ignore the fact her shine was green and continue on the absurd notion that she was a Queen. Sure, she was almost yellow in color, and she was more muscular than any other Green, but really? Her belly was greener and she wasn't nearly the correct size for a Gold, despite the fact she's one of the largest, if not the largest Green at Selenitas.
Itching the back of her head, Gina rocked to her feet and sighed, offering her sleeping Dragon a glance. She had been resting a lot more often recently, just another sign that she was going to Rise soon, if not today. Carefully avoiding her Flitter, who had decided to take a nap in her yarn basket in the middle of the floor, the Green rider shed her shirt before rummaging through her dresser for a new one. It was then, that Dasmonth stirred from her rest.
--
Lifting her head to the sky, the large Green barred her teeth at the world, before Rising to her feet. Off the ledge in a second, Dasmonth roared her challenge before making a beeline for the feeding Grounds. Descending on her first Herdbeast, the Female was stopped short of feasting on it's meat when Gina's voice entered her head and told her not to, blooding the Bovine instead. Two more herdbeast fell to her wrath before she took off once more, bellowing again her challenge to the males of the Weyr. She was a Queen! The Bronzes can't refuse her challenge, it was impossible! Pumping her wings so she rose high above the Weyr, Dasmonth twisted around to see if her followers had come. Their response should be quick! SHE was the best Queen of the lot of them anyways. Aslath, Millieth and even Hepaticath paled in her beauty and grace! Where were her males?!
--
As soon as her Green left the ledge, she herself had left their Weyr, not caring that the shirt she had put on was hanging open in the front. She had to get to the flightroom before they blended completely, lucky for her, she wasn't very far away from it. Boots slipping on the stone floor as she rounded the corner, Gina grabbed at the conveniently placed person in her attempts to keep her upright. Clutching at the person, the Green pressed against him, it took a few moments to realize what she was doing. "S-sorry." Fleeing from the confused man, the human female soon made it to the Flightroom, almost tripping into it in her haste. Once more righting herself, Gina/Dasmonth took her place in the very middle of the room, positioning herself so /she/ would be the main focus of everyone's attention. She was a Queen, and as such, she deserved to be fawned over by handsome males. Tossing her black mane haughtily, Dasmonth waited impatiently for her chasers.

X'vier sighed in pleasure as he stretched. Moving gracefully through the simple series of moves he could feel muscles from the neck and below loosening to his practice. He smiled as his body yielded to the training.
Several years ago he would never have considered dancing...or warm ups to be a manly thing. As time went by and he studied it he came to realize that it was a work out that tested both mind and body. Not only did it pass the time... it allowed muscles once built to mine tunnels into sleek and supple shapes. It was worth it to keep the muscle he had worked up as a kid.
He was just starting to perspire when he heard a dragon scream...a challenge. Uhhhh Mirazeth...you don't hear that right? You are going to ignore it and just bask in the sun right? He didn't even need Mirazeth's answer to know though. The large brown had heard it...and was definitely interested...choosing to show X'vier a beautiful glowing greenish yellow dragon intent on blooding. A blooding green? Mirazeth you can't be serious. The warm lustful feeling was beginning to creep up on him though.
Alright...I'll go to flight room. He jogged casually down the hall...feeling Mirazeth rise from his sun bath and bellow an answering call. Always for the ladies... he thought vaguely as he entered the flight room. As he walked up to the black haired woman he became curious. Who was that? The answer came from Mirazeth. Gina of green Dasmonth. He leaned against the wall facing her where she could see them, a small smile on his face as he melded with Mirazeth
~~~~
Mirazeth circled above...looking down at the glowing beauty before him. So far he was the first to answer her call. He was glad, and watched as she drank from the prey below.
Yes...blood all you like my Beauty. I shall be pleased to dance with thee across the skies. He crooned gently. He loved feisty and powerful females. The better their chase...the more fun. He was sure he would be very happy to chase this young green.
G'tor whistled a slightly off tune melody as he waited for something to be tempted by his bait. He really didn't think he'd have much luck fishing today, but it was a relaxing activity to occupy one's time. Ruskeath watched the water impassively, as if he could will fish to come to them, but didn't care to today. Today, however, was not going to be as relaxing as the pair had plan.
Ruskeath's head tilted upward and cocked, as if listening to a distance sound. Then he rose to his feet and spread his wings. The waters rocked and sprayed as he beat heavily and rose into the sky. "Hey!" G'tor exclaimed as water drenched his shirt. "What are you doing?" Even as he said it, he could feel the desire and longing mounting in his dragon. "Who is it?" he asked instead.
<Dasmonth> Ruskeath announced grandly. <The queen of all greens!> At least she was today, G'tor thought with a shrug. Shards! Why did Ruskeath always join flights when he was as far as possible from the flight room?! Tossing his fishing pole aside, he started running. He knew he would never reach it before he and his dragon blended completed, but the pull of the Flight would take him the rest of the way. He just hoped he didn't run anyone down.
Ruskeath could see Dasmonth rise high above the Weyr. There she was! The queen of the skies! The most beautiful of all greens! And he was not the only dragon who saw as much. Ruskeath roared his challenge to the other brown. He would show Dasmonth who was worthy! Let Mirazeth try to chase if he dared. Ruskeath's normally easy going nature melted in the spur of fierce completion. No friends in the skies today, only rivals and the glorious green.
Sel’n frowned at the weyrling attendance list in his hand. Tidal needed to get their acts together or only two would make graduation. That was a pretty low number. It isn’t as if he and Kaaoloth hadn’t already threatened them with repeating classes. A surge of lust cut through his thoughts and he raised his head to regard Kaaoloth. The brown’s eyes were whirling a vivid crimson and purple. They only did that for queen flights. The rider frowned, no queens were due to rise anytime soon. He strode to the ledge as Kaaoloth swung his head towards the feeding grounds and leapt off to glide to them roaring an answer to her summons.
A green blooding? Kaaoloth always got worked up over those. No matter he wasn’t about to rein Kaaoloth back. Let him have his fun. Smiling he started to the flight rooms anticipating a violent flight. Kaaoloth dove down and broke the neck of the nearest beast fastening his fangs on it’s throat to blood alongside his queen. His glorious green golden queen. He crooned to her as he finished blood running in crimson rivers down his throat. He snagged another beast and dropped it as she sprang into the air. He followed closely pumping his wings hard to stay hot on her tail. She would be his! Any male that thought otherwise was a fool. He snarled as the other males joined. Dasmonth was his glorious queen.
BROWNS? Where were her Bronzes? She deserved Bronzes, she was a Queen after all. If she couldn't have her Bronzes, she supposed she could put up with the next best thing, large seasoned Browns. Oh, she'd have fun testing these males, these Browns who think they are worthy of a Queen's mate. Glowering at the three who had so far chosen to follow her summons, Dasmonth snarled before whirling around and diving toward the river below them. Not looking to see who dove after her first, the Queengreen leveled out over the water so that she was almost touching the surface. She had a short run space before she would be forced to pull up, but Dasmonth wanted to see exactly how fast her chasers were. Dropping a foot so that her feet sliced the water, the Green sent up a big spray behind her, quickly pulling up from the surface of the water with a few pumps of her large wings.
Darting through the spray of the waterfall, Dasmonth seemed to shine even brighter, her own inner glow refracting off the mist that surrounded her. Claws raking the water once more, the Green burst out over the falls with a spin, a move to not only show off her muscles but to scout out who was where. The twirl lasted only a few seconds of time, just long enough to see the males, before flaring her wings and catching an updraft. The males would have a limited amount of time to pull off the same maneuver that she went through to climb the waterfall, and the spray she had sent up hopefully made a screen for at least one of the males, letting her see how well he responded to spur of the moment decisions. Her mate would have to be smart.
--
The first Brown arrived, and then another. But, where was her third playtoy? He was not here yet? More is the loss for the Brown, he would have less time to gaze upon her beauty and grace. Narrowing her eyes at the two who were there already, Gina/Dasmonth kicked off her boots, crouching barefoot on the stone floor. Ripping the leather thong from her hair, the Green shook the black locks out, tossing the strands from her face. Now she was ready to play with her men.
Although Kaaoloth/Sel'n were increasingly attractive because of their experience in the air and flights, Dasmonth's attention was directed sharply on Mirazeth/X'vier. He was the very first to come to her beck and call, and that had earned him points, he would be rewarded with her attention. Slipping over to the younger Dragonman with a feral spring in her step, Dasmonth tugged the man away from the wall, apparently not fearing to be physical. Circling the Brown like a hungry feline, the Greenqueen let her fingers trail across is back and biceps, giving him only a taste before flitting away to Kaaoloth. Open shirt flapping as she spun at the same moment her otherself did, Dasmonth stepped in close to the older Brown, letting her hand run from his neck to his lower back. She was there only a moment, moving once more, but this time back into the middle of the room.
---
Pumping her wings, Dasmonth began her first climb, leading the males further and further up. Rukbat would have compitition now, for the Green didn't look as if she was going to stop. Her mate would have to be strong.
Blue Kindrith jumped to his feet at the sound of a female rising. It didn't matter what female. Or what color, even. Kindrith would chase. He always did. This was something that his rider, E'yan, had gotten used to, and started hurrying back to the weyr.
In an instant, Kindrith was airborne, leaving the river to leap into the Flight part way, slipping right into the middle of it as the Queen darted past so quickly. Ah hah! There she was! But she held his attention for only a moment ... the blue's gaze wandered over to see who and what he was competeing against.
A surge of anger flooded through his body as he spied three browns ... and that was it. Sharding browns!!! Always stealing all the females! Always taking Kindrith's female! And then his gaze lit upon one brown in particular.
His eyes went from swirling purple to swirling in raging reds and oranges in a split instant as the blue veered from the flight. For he had seen something that raised his ire like nothing else.
It was that brown.
He was here! How dare he! And stealing the greens, again! Would he never stop? Never relent? Never give up and die at the claws of some miserable Bronze?! Kindrith was pissed. Dasmonth was definitely still in his mind ... in a warped and twisted fashion. The blue viewed her as his green, his Queen, and he was going to defend her from the likes of this scum!!
Swooping downward suddenly, Kindrith uttered a feral roar that echoed off the very walls of the Weyr, as he descended in a mad rage upon Kaaoloth. The blue was pissed ... there was no debating that. And Kindrith aimed to take the three legged brown DOWN. Plowing hard into the back of the unsuspecting lust-blinded brown, Kindrith started doing his level best to rip the turdstack a new one.
Theif! Dung heap! Wherry brain! Turdpile! Traitor! Thread lover!! Kindrith roared nastily, reaching to bite down viciously on the back of Kaaoloth's neck, entirely aiming to kill the brown, and force him to ground.
~~~
E'yan was first slightly puzzled as he jogged along, wondering at the mere vaguest of impressions of lust coming from his dragon. It was usually stronger than that by now... and then he felt the first blow of staggering anger, of bloodlust, the desire to kill, all a split moment before he heard the first bellow from his big blue.
"Oh, SHARDS." E'yan swore, as he tumbled across the ground, knocked breathless by the unexpected hatred coursing through his veins. Lust he had grown to handle and accept ... and even work through. It was so common for him to feel from his blue. But this level of murderous rage ... it had only ever come once before, and that was while Kindrith was busily trying to not die in a crash after having had his only victorious flight stolen from him by a beefy brown.
"Kaaoloth." E'yan muttered, knowing that the brown was the only thing out there that could elicit that kind of emotion from his dragon. "Kindrith! NOOO!" E'yan called, before finally succombing to the intense emotion that was coming from his dragon. Rising to his feet, he took off running again ... but this time with a whole other mindless purpose to his muscular frame.
Kaaoloth needed slaying, and he was going to find him, and kill him. And mercy be to anyone who happened to get in his way before he reached the other dragon! The brown needed to die!!

Kaaoloth rumbled at the green as she dove, what a clever queen. He folded his wings to drop after her and was momentarily confused as he felt something collide with him from above. His eyes flashed from purple to crimson as he felt the tearing of claws against his back. Luckily with his wings folded to his sides the fragile membranes were out of danger from the tearing claws. The brown roared in rage. What dragon dared? He caught a flash of pale blue hide. A blue? He did not remember a blue joining in the chase.
As Kindrith lowered his head to attempt to bite the brown‘s neck, Kaaoloth whipped his head back to knock the blue in the jaw hopefully dislodging him from his perch. If that did not work Kaaoloth had other means of dislodging him none of which he would prefer to have to resort to. Feeling the blues claws loosen a fraction, the brown gave a mighty heave and tore himself free, no doubt tearing his own hide further but it was that or certain death from Kindrith's jaws. The large brown pumped his wings to gain leverage growling low in his throat. His brown hide stained by large amounts of ichor.
Kindrith’s ambush had done quite a lot of damage but nothing immediately life threatening. He knew that he could outdistance the blue if push came to shove. Kaaoloth turned his head to get Kindrith’s bearings. Would the blue continue his attack or would he continue after the queen? As she sprang to his mind the large brown swung his head toward her and crooned, reassuring Dasmonth that he did not intend to pull out just yet. Oh no, no lowly blue would cause him to drop from this flight. His eyes regained a bit of a purple tone but they still whirled predominantly red. He gave another hiss at Kindrith before winging after the green again, making sure to keep tabs on Kindrith’s location as well.
-----
Sel’n/Kaaoloth growled appreciatively at Gina/Dasmonth as she sprang forward and crouched. Her feral movements made her highly desirable. A surge of envy flowed through him as she proceeded to touch Mirazeth/X'vier. What made that brown worthy? He crooned to her as she danced his way and gave a low groan as he felt her soft hands caress him. He only desired her more but before he could reach out to her she had danced away again. Clever girl.
Focused on her it came as a complete shock as he felt the anger and pain from his bonded. He gave a roar of rage. How dare that blue! Where was he? Sel’n/Kaaoloth drew his belt knife and slipped into a crouch angry eyes scanning the room for his opponent. So deep was he twined with Kaaoloth they were as one. He was Kaao and Kaao him. He could no more call off his dragon than he could wrest his soul from him. No if the fight was to be averted it would be because of the brown not the rider.

Mirazeth flew after her with eyes whirling and wings pumping. The warm updrafts felt good against his wings as he flew for his beautiful, ecstatically enticing Green Queen. He ignored her snarl and admired her dive...angling down to follow. Oh so close to the water below! He felt close to her... even though she was dragon lengths ahead. He saw her move lower...splicing the water into a spray. He pumped down hard...making his body rise so that he could still see her. The cool water slapped against his fore arms and chest. Droplets slipped off as he continued to chase.
Seeing her spin so lovely only enticed him to further action. He followed as close as he could...twisting elegantly in a roll opposite of hers. The maneuver was wider than hers...he was a large dragon. However his lean length gave him a flexible twist. Straightening out once more he began to rise...doing all he could to keep up with her as shot up in the air with glowing intensity.
Behind him, he heard another dragon hurl insults at Kaaoloth. Alarmed...he glance back to see a blue on top of his brown rival. This was supposed to be a chase...not a melee. Kaaoloth... are you able to handle Kindrith?
Kindreth...leave him be! What good is the Chase with out competitors? Get off him and chase or just get off! Mirazeth was still flying upward toward the female he desired. True... less competition meant his chances where better, but he believe this Green Beauty deserved all the Chasers she wants.
~~
Mirazeth/X'vier shuddered in delight as his Dasmonth/ Gina pulled him close to her. As she circled her fingers felt like fire and ice across his back and arms. He grinned with eyes open enjoying every bit of her playfulness. She was spirited and it drove to greater arousal. He eyed his opponent as he then recieved a bit of attention. He wanted every touch...knowing Kaaoloth/Sel'n would be affected as he. His grin showed teeth...almost taking a more threatening meaning. He would'nt mind besting Kaaoloth...sure..he might get teased by this wild beauty...but she would be his in the end. He gaze returned to Dasmonth/ Gina before he heard the profanities aimed at Kaaoloth. He glanced at Kaaoloth...worried.
He wanted the dragon in good health... he wanted to to be chosen above him...not have him disqualified due to injury.

Breaking her climb off in confusion, the Queengreen spun around as a commotion erupted behind her, unsure as to what would interrupt her flight. Watching as a Blue roared before diving at one of /HER/ Browns, Dasmonth faltered in her wing beats as the two collided. How dare he! Offering forth her own guttural roar, the large Green arched forward and dove toward the tussling duo. Dasmonth reached the pair as soon as Kaaoloth tossed Kindrith off, impacting the Blue with a screeching snarl. Not wanting to connect, for she certainly hadn't chosen this insignificant and unworthy Blue, the Greenqueen pushed off of him. Whirling around to face Kindrith, the female roared loudly, expressing her feelings with the noise and not words. So far, none of the males had proven themselves enough to hear her fair voice in their heads.
The Blue was NOT allowed to touch any of HER Browns ever again, he could try and chase, but if he touched Kaaoloth, Mirazeth or Ruskeath during the flight he would suffer more than a few gashes at her own claws. And every dragon knew, that a lust filled Green who was on a rampage, was no one to trifle with. He should /THANK/ her for allowing him to continue in his futile quest, she could have dismissed him right away.
Snapping at the Blue once more, Dasmonth snapped her wings closed and plummeted downward, before opening them again and speeding off in the direction she had come from. Starting her assent once more, the Greenqueen rose higher than ever, pushing herself forward even as her wings began to tire. The punishment that she had delivered took some of the precious strength she needed to make this a long flight, significantly shortening her time to choose the proper suitor. Darting up past Mirazeth and allotting him a shrill kreen, the female leveled off and began to drift to the left... then fainted to the right. Dipping down, Dasmonth sped downward toward the open fields, flaring her wings so she slowed down enough to land and keep moving.
Loping in long strides, Dasmonth bounded to the end of the field before taking off again, flying low over the tops of the trees. Her suitors would have to be fast and accurate.
---
She had just busied herself in preening for her males when her other self realized that the Blue had crashed her flight, anger mixed dangerously with lust as the Green switched her gaze from Mirazeth to Kaaoloth. Barring her teeth as the Brown pulled a long claw out from his hide, Dasmonth growled unhappily, she wasn't about to allow false weapons in HER flight. Stalking angrily over to Kaaoloth, Dasmonth/Gina swung her hand in the vicinity of the base of the fake claw. Trying to make it clear that he wasn't allowed to have it in Her Flight, he was supposed to be looking at HER. She was the sublime Queen after all.
Turning her nose up at the Brown as she stalked off, Dasmonth clearly shifted her approval toward the other male in the room. It took her a scant few moments to flee from Kaaoloth to Mirazeth, taking his arm and leading him a little closer to the middle of the room, closer to the zone where her favorites would stand.
Now where was her other Brown? And that Blue... oh, how she wanted to punish the blue for interrupting her beautiful dance.

Kindrith wasn't going to get shaken off that easily, oh, no. He was going to kill this impudent brown!! But the blow to his head rattled him slightly, his grip on the slippery dungheap loosening slightly as he reeled from the blow. Ach! He shook his head, getting his senses back about him, just intime to get bucked off entirely.
The big pale blue plummeted for a moment, before his wings snapped open again. Kaaoloth wasn't getting rid of him that easily, oh, no! Roaring again, he sped after the fleeing brown. That's it! Run! Not that it would do him any good.... he would catch that brown, and turn him into jerky!
But before Kindrith could quite get that far, Dasmonth turned up in his face, and ripped into him, herself. The blue just took it, shocked. Wha-? Wh? Huh? Why? He was fighting for her honor! Against this brute that was so barbaric and uncouth! B...?! Kindrith just hung there in the air for a moment as she scolded him loud enough to make his ears hurt. He just looked at her sadly, feeling completely heartbroken and misunderstood. Couldn't she see? He was doing it for her!
But, no, she didn't want him to do so. And that crushed Kindrith more than being kicked out of the flight would have. His heart hurt, it hurt more than he ever knew was possible. Couldn't she see? But, no ... she didn't see, she didn't understand, and she was leaving again, back to her flight, with her trailing back of filthy dungheaps. Kindrith just watched them all go, sadly, hanging in a very slow glide from motionless spread wings.
Where had it all gone so wrong?! The blue didn't know. He couldn't even begin to understand. It seemed that no matter what he tried to do, it was always wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. And he just watched the other dragons speed away from him. All the fight was taken completely out of him - at least for the moment. And he didn't have the heart to participate anymore. It would be the very first flight ever that he would quit, but ... he couldn't fly after her. Not with the knowledge that he was definitely unwanted. Which really struck a deep chord in the blue... he'd always been unwanted, he realized. Always losing out to those dratted browns. What was it they had that he didn't? It just didn't make any sense to the bewildered blue, even as his hide dripped and ran with his own ichor, his claws dripping in Kaaoloth's.
He had marked the brown ... there was that. It wasn't hardly punishment enough for the brown's crimes, but ... for now it would have to do. Dasmonth had decreed it so.
On the ground, E'yan collapsed to the ground suddenly, feeling in true depth the agony that Kindrith was experiencing, and completely unprepared for the emotional assault on his mind and senses. He was still one with his blue dragon, and not at all in control of himself. The rider gasped at the pain in his chest, digging his fingers into the soil beneath him. No! No! It wasn't happening! No! He fought back, tried to straighten out his dragon ... agh!!!
And then Kindrith switched gears again. He would show them! He would show them all! He would prove them all wrong! He was something! He was worth something!! Snapping his wings wide again, and then beating them with a speed born of determination, Kindrith sped through the air once more, back in the flight, back in the fight. But now ... instead of attacking the browns directly, he would show them all up by winning this flight. He would prove to Dasmonth that he was her gem! That he was the best one of the lot!
The blue sped through the air with a speed the browns couldn't hope to rival, boosted onward by his need to win. And it was not just a lustful need anymore ... it was an emotional need. He had to win. He would show them. He would show them all, just what exactly a blue was made of! Pern would see! Dasmonth would see!
Trumpeting loudly at his return to the flight, Kindrith was running on adrenaline and determination the likes of which he had never known before. He was going to win. That was all there was to it! Beating his wings hard and fast, twisting through the maneuvers with a grace that the browns couldn't hope to pull off, Kindrith sped after Dasmonth. He would win! She would see! He called to her again, his trumpeting sliding easily into a loving croon, as he squeaked his way past the browns.
His heart pounded hard in his chest, threatening to pound its way out, his wings beating fast and hard to propel him ever faster, catching up, passing them all, until he was hot on Dasmonth's tail again. And he followed her down, and over ... and lit upon the ground for a few long strided bounds, before taking to the air again, after her. She would see! He was hers!
The energy he was expending was phenomenal, and he was going to burn out quickly if he wasn't carefull. But that was also ballanced out by his sheer determination, the amount of willpower he was putting into this flight. This was going to be HIS flight!! She would choose him! And he was not going to let her down!! Ignoring the powerful browns around him, Kindrith used his lithe agility and speed to every advantage he could, determined to win.
On the ground, E'yan staggered back to his feet, yet another powerful emotion pounding through his veins. Lust was there ... but it was not solidly lust. That determination was in him, as well. And the man took off running again, bound for the flight rooms again. But this time, he was not going there to kill. No. He was going there for her. He reached the room, finally, and slid to a halt at the door, before walking inside with his head held high. He was Kindrith. And he was going to show them all what blues were made of! He was worth something! She would see. Those browns, they would see! The fires that burned in the man's eyes were not only of those of desire for the beautiful form before him to witness, but also of the fires of spirit. He was there, mind, body, and soul. And all for her.

Kaaoloth followed the queen diligently, even though Kindrith’s attack had sapped a lot of his strength and more was leaving him with every drop of ichor that swelled out of his torn hide. The brown refused to give up on his chase just yet. The glorious green was worth every drop of effort. The large brown followed her feinting without trouble, although it further sapped his remaining energy. He was grateful as Dasmonth leveled out to glide over the field. It gave him a short reprieve although it did little to soothe his burning hide and muscles.
He touched down on the earth slightly after she did, the concussive force of his landing sending a fresh wave of pain through him. He snarled and loped after her as best he could, willing his three legs to hold up until she decided to go airborne again. His ichor had started to clot but the force of his landing had sent fresh streams running down his hide. Kaaoloth got off the ground with a bit of effort and caught an updraft so he could glide after her. If she did not choose soon the large brown knew he would be forced to pull out of the flight. All because of some idiot blue. His eyes whirled red as Kindrith passed him up. How dare he still see himself as worthy of her! He snarled but made no move to intercept he hadn’t the strength for a brawl and the queen had already voiced her displeasure on that matter.
---
Kaaoloth was startled as Dasmonth approached. Was she choosing? But no she simply knocked the knife from his hands and then strode to Mirazeth. He gave the other brown a snarl but stayed where he was. Kaaoloth gave Dasmonth an apologetic croon and shifted his stance slightly as he heard footsteps approaching. Who enters?
He gave a wordless snarl as Kindrith entered the room, but made no attempt to lunge at the blue. His eyes bore angrily into the offender and he gave another snarl before turning back to his queen. Sel’n/Kaaoloth set his teeth as a wave of pain coursed through his body. Kaaoloth’s pain was his own and he felt it as sharply as the brown did. The sense of nagging worry entered his mind as well. Pull out of the flight? Not acceptable right now. He could only hope that if he did that worthless blue would not win.

((OOC: I'm sorry this post is so late! Life got busy and I got really behind.))
Ruskeath was delighted when Dasmonth dove for the river. Oh such a lovely dragon! Diving was his speciality and he tucked his wings and dropped expertly after her. Mirazeth was ahead of him, but no matter. He could still prove who was the better flyer! He could prove that he was indeed worthy of the queen of the sky! He brought himself out of the dive easily, his long tail dancing playfully through the water behind him.
The shower of sparkling droplets made it hard to see ahead, but Ruskeath knew the river well. He was ready when the waterfall loomed ahead and krooned admiringly to see Dasmonth's graceful turn. He managed to mimic her trick with a half turn of his own, but his larger body was not made for such acrobatics. Then they were soaring again. Ruskeath had to work hard to gain as much height as his fellow browns, but Dasmonth was worth any pain or effort. She was the queen of the sky.
Momentarily distracted by angry noises behind him, Ruskeath turned his long neck to see his competitors. Mirazeth was still in front of him, but where was Kaaoloth? The three legged brown was a worthy rival, surely he had not backed down. But no, there he was, having some trouble with a blue. Was the dragon mad? Attacking one so much larger than he, he must be consumed by anger. And here was Dasmonth flying at him. She wasn't choosing him was she? And so soon? Ruskeath roared a protest! His queen was worthy of better than that! But no, she was warning him off. Oh how strong and daring she was! Ruskeath was proud and desired her all the more. He dove quickly to keep up the chase, pleased to fly alongside his rivals once more. Mirazeth was strong and Kaaoloth too, even after his fight. It would take all his strength to out fly them, but he would do anything for his queen!
G'tor finally stumbled into the flight room. He was sweaty and out of breath but he was here. Lost in the recesses of his dragon's flight consumed mind, he gazed on Gina with longing and admiration. Oh how he wanted to be close to her! Curse the luck that had kept him from her side for so long. Nothing would keep him away any longer. He was hers now, for as long as she wished it.

Mirazeth stayed as close to her as he could. He rumbled in appreciation of Dasmonth's decision. It was good. Kaaoloth could still chase...and the blue would have to put up with it. Mirazeth never approved of violence during flights. He was for the chase. The wild, heart burning desire of chasing a beautiful female and being with her. The perilous drop greater than life itself...
He focused his whirling eyes back upon Dasmonth's glowing form as she began to fly away. Up and up and marveled at her and crooned encouragement. She has the stamina of a Queen! He rumbled happily as she moved past him. Oh so close! His blood pumped faster in excitement. Oh listen to her! Such spirit! He watched as she moved left, staying in line with her. Right...the down! Mirazeth twisted his body into an inverted dive. The strange belly up dive lasted for a few seconds before he rolled into a normal dive. He saw her flair her wings and run. Oh what joy and pleasure....He spread his wings...feeling the air's insistent tug upon the membrane. He struck ground...his flight momentum almost too fast for his legs.
He quickly realized Kaaoloth was next to him....all three legs moving as fast as possible. Mirazeth was glad. Could he ever have a better opponent in this? Oh...and Ruskeath! Now she was getting a chase she deserved. He watched as Kindrith sped forward. The smaller blue seemed determined get his Green. He bellowed a challenge and pushed forward. The blue would not get chosen and Mirazeth longed to be closer to Dasmonth's shimmering hide.
Nearing the trees he unfurled his wings and pushed upward...pumping to gain some altitude. He was close enough to see a bird's nest as he flew over the trees. He angled himself for speed...pressing his body to move through the air until he was behind Kindrith. Kindreth's body cut the air resistance for Mirazeth and after a moment he rose up and shot over head. The air draft had gained him precious speed as he was now over Kindreth and close to Dasmonth once again. Could he get closer? He stretch his neck forward to find out.
~~
X'vier/ Mirazeth breathed heavily as he watched Dasmonth move closer to the angry Kaaoloth. He growled appreciatively when she only knocked the knife away. She was the glorious center of now and no fights should ruin her moment. He eagerly followed her, relishing her touch on his arm. Had she chosen? No...not yet. But he has gotten the most attention thus far! He looked at Ruskeath as he made it in. Hmmm...another good brown to outlast. He couldn't spare more than a glance...for he was very busy watching Dasmonth.

Her wings were /burning/. Lucky for her chasers, she had finally deemed them worthy to chase her. Although she was still miffed at the Blue for attacking one of her Browns, he had turned around in the face of injury and no longer put his attentions on Kaaoloth. Faltering in her wingbeats, Dasmonth shook her head in determination, twisting her body upward for the last time. It was in this time, that the Queen of the Greens began to run over the males in her head, she had to pick and soon.
Ruskeath. He hadn't done much to stand out in the crowd, even the Blue had done more than the Brown had in the last few moments to grab her attentions. He had followed her, sure, but other than that... nothing much else.
Kaaoloth. Now he had done more. Despite having been attacked, being injured and missing a limb, the big Brown had done well! Seasoned and well knowledged, Kaaoloth would be a logical pick, but logic wasn't something that held a fast grip in a lusty mind. His weakness was also his strength, his lost limb was taken at face value, believing it was a wound from a great battle or a heroic maneuver during threadfall.
Kindrith. The Blue upset her flight as soon as he had seen Kaaoloth, and although he had done much to try and redeem himself, he hadn't followed her for long enough to give Dasmonth a good picture. The blue seemed to suffer from a grudge that he needed to get over. And as long as that grudge was there, Kindrith wouldn't be able to concentrate on her and only her.
Mirazeth. The Brown had been diligent in his trailing, doing more than Ruskeath and not getting into the spat between Kindrith and Kaaoloth. Mirazeth was older and experienced like Kaaoloth, adding to his appeal. Though he hadn't done anything over the top to catch her attentions...
By the time she reached the zenith of her climb, Dasmonth had chosen her suitor, the male who would for now help her rule the rest of the Weyr, as was their right! Twisting backward, the Green folded her wings half way, allowing for a slowed decent so her wings could rest, yet fast enough to be uncaught by anyone other than her chosen. Angling her body in a half spin, the Green flared her wings in time to slow her speed enough to give the Brown enough time to react. /You. Are. MINE Mirazeth./ Folding into his body, Dasmonth trusted the Brown to guide them safely.
