Mi'rah had the total, irrational, desire to pluck the wings off of a green firelizard who had so unwisely decided to perch up above on a support beam that crossed the cavern. Smug creature, such an ugly, ugly, color green and shouldn't be even so much in the same space as Peccadillo was...she...she was perfect. Lounging on his shoulder and hissing sinister plans in his ear like the virtual devil she was, the yellow-green that zig-zaged down her back was practically bubbling over with radioactive glow. Drumming his fingers against the table top he plotted how he may achieve the impossible and leap high enough to catch the sharding thing before it could wink between. Now, of course there was a perfectly reasonable part of him that realized why the slow and horrible demise of this creature was on his list of things to do today, but when that part of him spoke it was instantly silenced by the wicked purr of his green mind mate.
Mind hush love~ She demanded, it wasn't a request, though it was questionable if the green knew what a request even was. She asked and she got what she wanted, that is why she picked him after all. Now if he could just stop thinking for the next ten minutes so that she could get in those last moments of beauty sleep. Possibly possible ever since "Doppeldumb" as she called him had been cast out to go play with "Mimic the Moron". She thought little of the twin brown....could he even be made into a proper slave? Doppel could only manage the most menial of tasks, and he most definitely could not be put on very important details involving the destruction of the ugly fliers. Mi'rah on the other hand had been a most lovely minion, especially for the past few days.
He had been a total and complete ass. No doubt thanks to all of that antagonism rolling off of her as she geared up for her first Run. The irritability and snappishness that had plagued the bronzerider was no doubt an alien feeling despite the warnings he had been given. Chasing had become easy after twenty turns...being chased inversely seemed very, very, very wrong and he was taking it out on everyone around him, calling people stupid, yelling at wing drills, doing very uncharacteristic things....
Silence.
The green realized that she couldn't sleep any longer and she stood up on all fours, stretching in a feline motion before flaring out those boney spars that should have held a frill. Maybe she had waited too long...the dining hall was emptying out and it was getting late. She would just have to call her soon to be slaves to her - because regardless of who would be chosen they would all become her unwitting pawns. Come. She was never one for using a whole lot of words unlike many of her mandyr brethren, Chase Peccadillo make little sin. Do bad feel good. Come. She flicked her tail in snake like s waves and waited there on the man's shoulder...waited for them gather.

Deep in the shadowy pocket where the beam met the ceiling, something moved. At first, it looked like a bit of trash or a long-lost napkin was unfolding, blown out of position by the landing of the green flit. The astute observer, however, might spot slowly spinning eyes, such a dark orange they were nearly black. Big Brother held his position, now, the flexible firelizard bent up against the wall in a position impossible for most of his kind. He had been watching the dining hall, an obvious breeding ground for plots and schemes, one he returned to especially when the rest of his leads turned out to be dead ends (or he forgot what they were). Now, though, he was watching the green - there was someone on his perch. This was his his spying spot, no one else's. There were plenty of other beams around, of course, but this one had the best shadow. His.
There were very few things that could have distracted Big Brother from the Green - obviously she was out to get him, all he had to do was take his attention away for a split second, or maybe she was a distraction, it must be an ambush, but if he left the beam they could get him so maybe he should just wait. Peccadillo's call, however, was enough. Big Brother snapped his gaze away and back again, sizing up the creature who had made the request. He liked her coloring, and what a tail... and that call was hard to resist for one who had only recently hit maturity. So close. Well, one thing had to be dealt with, first.
Fully expecting to be set upon as soon as he moved, Big Brother uncurled like lightning, flaring his wings wide and uttering an absolutely venomous hiss as he charged the invading green firelizard. He even snapped his jaws at her, but without waiting to see if he'd caught flesh or not, the Blue went between. He re-appeared just a just hands breadth below the table Mi'rah was sitting at. A flick of his tail and a flap of his wings took the faded Blue to a nearby table leg, where he clung at the very top, peeking just one indigo eye out to keep a clear watch on Peccadillo, and to make sure she knew he was there. He'd never chased before, but he assumed you probably weren't allowed to catch if you were invisible the whole time.
Across the room, Ten's head snapped up, her whole face going scarlet. With eyes and mind she sought out Big Brother, meeting his eye as he poked his head a little higher above the table so she knew where he was. He sent her some very explicit images when she asked what on Pern he was doing - no, he hadn't chased himself, but of course he knew the facts of life, and he'd seen the ends of chases - and Tenlie cringed further into her seat, fighting down dread and looking for the object of Big Brother's new affections. A green Salamandyr, and... Mi'rah? No no no. This could not possibly end well. Good thing Rajnith was asleep, and likely to stay that way for a long time.

She was small. But.. she did glow a lovely jade color. Guru had not been watching too keenly to the salamandyr that seemed on the verge of starting a run. No, his interest was more in the dumpling that he had swiped off the counter when the drudges weren't looking. Ha! His was not the only clever thief around. And it tasted sooo good. Besides, the last few runs he had joined had not gone well for him.. ..because the weyr had such poor selection of mates, of course. Had nothing to do with him..
Peccadillo though, she seemed.. smart. One would think that wasn't an uncommon trait, but Guru would avidly state otherwise. Most salamandyrs, in his not so humble opinion, lack general intelligence. So, with that in mind, chasing her starting to become more and more of an alluring prospect..
Her call perked his curiosity. Shoving a last bite into his mouth, Guru abandoned his high, watchful perch to drop onto the table. He bounded down the length, stopping short of where Peccadillo stood posed on her humanpet's shoulder. Guru crouched low to the wood, drawing his tongue across his maw to catch the last taste of his meal. His own long tail mimicked hers in the way it lazily curled through the air.
What sin? Guru was well versed in the ways of doing bad things and feeling good about it. His humanthing did those kind of antics at times – rather all the time. Peccadillo's words, however, held a much more enticing touch than the pranks his played. The mossy bronze lounged, casually licking the juices from his black claws. Sin is fun.

She could have spat. She could have thrown a fit. Here she sat patiently waiting for her chasers and she only received two. Just two?! If the mandyr had an eyebrow to raise she would have, because it seemed plain to her that all the other so called "males" in this weyr were afraid to do something a little bit naughty and it would be so unfair to throw a fit when two brave souls did come forward. If she had to beg and demand for others to show up then they clearly weren't worth it. Better to reward her followers was her line of thought...later though, she needed to call out a few losers first. Saving face? Maybe just a little bit.
No men in weyr. Whip worse by mate rule than Dilly's tail. We free feel good. The green then turned back to her chasers. The first to show up was a firelizard, which at first admittedly was not welcome, but he quickly endeared himself to her with the smart thought to attack the ugly green flier that was totally cramping her style. Good was this one. Practically an honorary mandyr, and if he was willing to lunge after other firelizards then just imagine all the evil doing they could get to if she were to choose him. A good slave...but already she was getting ahead of herself, she did have a little bit of a choice after all.
Guru. Now here was an interesting one...he understood it...sin was good. She was good. What harm did a little bit of pleasure ever do to them? Of course he could have brought her some of that dumpling. She wasn't blind to the bronze licking his mouth and tasting the goods and in turn she mimicked the move. Here he was making her very, very hungry, though maybe not for food, so there wasn't any time to waste. The green leaped off of her perch and onto the table, and without even a glance at her suitors she was off. If others deigned to come they were welcome, but she just expected them to work that much harder.
The green bounced onto the rim of someone's empty stew bowl, landing just hard enough to whirl her around as it teetered. She saved herself from disaster with a flap of her wings - as translucent and fragile as they looked, they were also functional and this helped her bridge the distance from one table to the other. She was working her way across the hall with every intention of making it to the kitchens where things got nice and hot. Her own little hell...the green thought that her chasers would appreciate the analogy. Mi'rah however wasn't following...he shouldn't have to, the only chaser he saw was shrinking in her seat. He wasn't approaching...Peccadillo had it in his head that he needed to play hard to get, and merely watched from across the hall.

Elysia stepped into the main hall just as Peccadillo began her run. From her shoulder both of her brown flitters chattered. Amour quickly lost interest once he saw it was a green mandyr. Greens did not make babies hence not worth his effort. Baron however craned his neck, rubbing his head once along his bonded’s jaw. May he chase the dark beauty? The greenrider shrugged and brushed an affirmative to him just as he leapt form her shoulder. Angling his wings the larger brown made a loop around Mi’rah just as Peccadillo leapt from him to the table. Her words where taken in stride the brown not being to concerned with them at the time. He was here and he would chase. Simple yes.
The other chasers where given a quick examination. The bronze mandyr he remembered from the last mandyr run he participated in. The other flit? Well he didn’t know that one at all. No matter. With a soft chirp Baron winged after the mandyr as she began her run, looping above and over the soup bowl as she whirled with it. Not much time for stunts as Peccadillo put a bit of speed into her run and started for the kitchens. Oh! Fun, fun. So many obstacles for him to daredevil in there and Baron loved nothing more than testing the limits of his flight. Yes he was glad he had chosen this one.
The greenrider in turn gathered some food and sat at a table purposely further from Mi’rah. Elysia really had little desire to get involved in his little worm’s run, even if her flitter was chasing. Good thing he seemed less than inclined to make a fool of himself so far. Taking a bite of her steamed vegetables she offered a portion of spiced wherry to Amour who took it with a polite chirp and a flutter of his wings. Idly she turned her head towards the bronzerider as she mentally checked with Baron. So far he seemed like he was doing okay. Eh, green mandyrs where small where they not? It was probably not very likely that the brown would win. If he did? Oh Elysia would look forward to the ending, only so she could mess with the bronzer a bit. Really she could probably have fun now if she wanted. But eating trumped anything else right now. Sorry Mi’rah. If he wanted her attention he would have to come and get it. She wasn’t the one attached to a worm who sporadically made her run across the weyr naked or any other such insanity.

Curious. Guru tapped one claw against the wood as he listened to Peccadillo broadcast to the others in the vicinity. Sounds as if she wasn't looking for a permanent mate – if she wanted salamandyrs that had chosen only one to come chase. She was a little lovely thing. Guru wasn't too keen on the idea of forever. It seemed so foreboding, didn't it? Only could make one choice and woe be to those that picked poorly. Just look at all the males that had found themselves mated with some half-wit of a green that only looked lovely when she glowed. It seemed silly to him..
It took real consideration. He wasn't about to chase Peccadillo just because she glowed. That was fact enough in the way his eyes remained a relaxed hue of emerald green, only a hint of violet swirling through the color. If no other chasers came he was just fine with that. It meant less competition. And just as Peccadillo had declared, they were probably all pussy-whipped nancies that were too afraid of chasing after a green that wasn't bright and mindlessly cheery like the others.
Turning sharply, Guru chased after her glowing hide. Adverting his course when a hand came down to still the rattling bowl that had been addled. He raised up that arm, reaching the man's shoulder and springing to the next seated diner. His frill widened at a hand that sought to capture him A draconic hiss emitting from the bronze as he launched at his supposed attacker. His. Drawn out of bed in the dark wher handler apartments and looking none too pleased in a pair of shorts and a blanket half wrapped around his shoulders. No His!. He wanted to chase this one.
"Damnit Guru – it'll just end like all the others. Get – back – here." Each word was punctuated by a grab from the thief. The bronze dodged the quick hands, crawling down the back of the blanket. He slipped down Quintrell's leg and made a straight path for the kitchen. Sinner, He called out to the little green, favoring her as he had none of the other salamandyrs by speaking her. This was a great honor in his opinion – that he liked her enough to not mock her. Show how good bad is?
Yes, why not have a little fun in her chase.. running could be so very boring..

Sneak was...well, probably where he shouldn't be. Namely, salamandyrs always seemed to draw his attention, particularly glowing salamandyrs, and His had parted from him with the customary eye roll when he'd shown no inclination to move after the brownrider had finished his lunch. PMS, too, was in attendance, and grooming Sneak, who pretended not to notice the sky-colored blue. A Sneak must be made very pretty to chase a mandyr, yes, and if a Sneak chased and caught a Peccadillo, why then, PMS would no longer have to partially share a Vex. It was just a little awkward to have a constant voyeur watching from atop the medicine rack hanging in the weyr. So PMS was taking very good care of his Sneak, he was, making sure he shined so pretty. The male had a nice color if you could get past the sausagey body, he did.
That was when Peccadillo made her announcement, Sneak frozen. But PMS could feel that forbidden desire of the mindmate who shared His, the fascination with the mandyrs - and well should they be admired, in PMS's opinion. Peccadillo was not so devious and, yes, evil as his beloved, but she was close...close enough for him to wish his Sneak the best of luck. And to aid it just a little, yes. Of course, he just needed to give Sneak a small...push. Or bite, as it were. As soon as her second broadcast faded to silence, PMS bit down hard on Sneak's tail, the firelizard letting out a very loud and angry cry. Go, go, go little sausage brother! Be free! Be fast! Catch the evil one!
The blue was not much of a talker. He did not translate well to the limited humany language, and anyway, broadcasting had the drawback of others listening. The mental touch he offered Peccadillo was far more eloquent than anything he could have said. A gift, from the PMS, who could not chase her, sadly. Sneak was no salamandyr, but he was PMS's surrogate, an expression of his regards, if you will, and an acknowledgment that Pecaddillo's beauty, her allure, and most of all that evil intelligence that was so attractive - required some form of worship. His duty discharged, PMS curled on his rafter, a spectator.
Sneak, taking PMS's urgings as His wishing he chase this particular salamandyr - something PMS did nothing to refute - wholeheartedly threw himself after her, looping in the air once as he flew. He dropped toward the bowl, catching it with his claws and tipping it over directly after the human made it stop spinning. Hah! See, the evil bowl that had tried to throw her, he had vanquished it! The male continued in hot pursuit.

No no, she was angry. Big Brother retracted his head, clinging to the table leg for dear life. Out to get him, for sure. Chasing was a terrible idea! Or... was it? Yes. No. Peeking the tiniest fraction of eyeball back into view to gauge her mood, the blue flit was surprised to find that he was not, in fact, the target of her ire. Not in the slightest - she was speaking to the room at large, and he had apparently earned a touch of favor. At least, that's what he deduced, as she wasn't screaming at him. He figured he'd stay, but he'd remain under tables for a bit, thank you very much. Just in case.
Guru and the later chasers got a quick look-over, but only so that Big Brother was sure they were all trustworthy. Of course, none of them were (he was sure of that), but since he couldn't remember any specific schemes they'd taken part in, he supposed he'd have to forgive them for now. If Peccadillo trusted him, Big Brother would... well. He'd tolerate them, as long as they didn't make any sudden moves.
While he had been examining Baron and Sneak, Peccadillo had, of course, left. Luckily, Big Brother had been watching her out of the corner of his eye, and knew that she'd gone. It was no surprise, then, that the long, skinny flit was the last one to leave the starting area, scampering six inches down the table leg before unfurling his wings and launching off Mi'rah's knee, taking a complicated and occasionally dangerous path through open legs and uncrowded tables. He used a combination of lightning-fast dashes and agile flight to wend a delicate path through the remaining diners, remaining at knee-level the entire time. Out of sight out of mind, right? Except that he didn't want to be out of Peccadillo's mind... hm. That was a problem he would have to solve later on in the run.
Tenlie was carefully considering her next move. Big Brother was a fire lizard, so while she felt something pleasant she tentatively labeled 'desire' when she looked in Mi'rah's direction, the feeling wasn't overwhelming. Desire, however, wasn't something she was used to feeling. Ten hadn't looked twice at a boy (or a girl) in her life, not that way at least, and while she'd figured out that it was coming from Bro and gotten her rising panic under control, her face was only getting redder. She'd never even considered a first kiss, and now that it was a distinct possibility the only thing she wanted to do was escape and leave the others to their own devices. Big Brother could very well manage without her. So why didn't she just go?
Mi'rah was between her and the door.

So her calls did get results. Two more flits were not exactly her wishes, but if firelizards were the ones without reservations about chasing then it was clear that her own kind were the ones with far too many mores. Mating for life was clearly a sign of their regression as a species. Not that this meant the green was completely sold on all of the ugly fliers, after all she did get her lovely Guru to tag along didn't she? Well, no time to dwell on this, she had to get back to the whole running business, and any slack she showed in her gait as she snuck peeks at the two newbies was instantly lost when she set her head back to the front again. The kitchens. Yum.
Between the legs of drudges she wove her path, leaping to catch her claws on one woman's skirt and flinging her way up onto a counter where ladies were chopping up greenery for some sort of salad. Good, good. Blend right in she could! With a blast of gusto she sprinted across chopping blocks and under the threat of sharpened blades until she reached a final mixing bowl at the end of the counter. In she went head first trying her best to camoflauge herself with the veggies. It was a hopeless wish, she glowed much too bright against the lifeless cabbage leaves and she sprung out again heading for the hot, hot hearths. What trouble could she do there?
Well staying still could only last so long. Mi'rah was normally graceless, but he managed to to summon up a little bit under the influence of his running salamandyr and the weight on his feet were lifted. Rising from his chair, walking across the room seemed way too easy, way too casual for the man. It wasn't a miracle. If anything it was a deal with the devil, and that much was obvious with that certain gleam in his eyes....not so innocent anymore was he? It was just stride after easy stride until he reached... Oh hello there pretty. He stood across the table from Tenlie and reached over for a redfruit that had gone untouched. He didn't know if it belonged to the girl or had strayed from someone nearby her, but it was his now, and almost demurely he took a bite before placing it back down on the table. Walking past her he ran a stray finger across her cheek before heading over to Elysia. She was much to far away though and he wanted his chasers closer. He tried to lure her in with a gesture of his hand as he looked around the hall. Where were his others again?

No response.
Guru paused where he curled against the leg of the counter, his mossy color a true metallic sheen against the dull wood. His long tail wrapped twice, unwound, then wound itself back around in the opposite direction. It was a moment's hesitation before he clawed his way up and over the lip of the counter. He frilled at the working drudges and their weaponry. The bronze reared back on his hindlegs and looked out over the obstacle course. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully before he cocked his head back to look at the looping firelizards. Hardly seemed fair, that she wanted him to brave the obstacle course of doom while the firelizards got to simply fly over. Maybe she was trying to get him killed – maybe she was a fire lizard lover. That would explain the lack of salamandyrs. Why did the others always know before him? Tch.
Stupid fire lizards. Every run they were in his ways and butting in where they didn't belong. Guru watched them, calculating, and for the moment dismissing Peccadillo entirely. The bronze skirted along the far side of the counter to avoid the chopping blades, heading in the direction of the hearth because that seemed to be where the firelizards were focusing. In an instance Guru made his move. His short legs propelled him forward, leaping up onto the chest of a working drudge to make her stumbled backwards in surprise. It angled him enough to make his next leap – at one of the firelizards that had ventured low enough to see where Peccadillo had gone. Oh he had grand ideas of using what his bronze weight added too to knock the firelizard off course – into the hot coals of the hearth.
Quintrell watched as Mi'rah glide across the room, feeling wholly ignored as the green favored the firelizards with attention and didn't even glance in his. That just went to show him that she was more or less dismissing him. Hmph. Dark eyes shifted between Tenlie and and Elysia as the thief sank down at the one of the tables to slip out of notice. Perhaps he could push one of them over the cliffside. It would be satisfying, and no harm done really – fire lizards could fly after all.

Baron was having fun. The brown loved nothing more than trying out his wings and throwing himself into situations that called for the utmost speed and daring. He liked testing the waters. It didn’t go well for him all the time but nonetheless he loved the thrill it gave him. Thus when Peccadillo entered the kitchens he gave a happy trill and shot after her. The brown hovered for a moment to gauge the chaos before shooting downwards and into his own little obstacle course. Baron gave a happy chirp as he weaved through moving legs and under shirts lopping completely around one drudge just as the green mandyr gained access to the counter. The brown followed her dutifully staying well above the chopping block and trying to follow her movements through the greenery while staying out of reach of swatting hands and utensils. Apparently the drudges did not like pets scampering and flitting in their workplace. Who knew? When Peccadillo dove into the mixing bowl Baron looped around it, giving a squawk when a particularly angry looking drudge tried to swat him with a rolling pin. Lopping upwards the brown circled well out of range as he waited. Silly humans all he wanted was the pretty he wasn’t trying to create problems.
Thankfully the glowing object of his affections did not stay in her hiding place long and Baron happily followed form above as she scampered towards the hearths. Hot they where but the brown was confident in his ability to avoid them. Unfortunately the firelizard didn’t account for being sabotaged by a mandyr. Winging past one of the hearths he felt something impact upon his side and gave a startled squawk as it caused him to temporarily lose control of his trajectory. Perhaps it was lucky that Baron was so large because it look more weight than that to throw him too far off course. Still it was enough that in his faltering his right wing and tail brushed against the coals and the firelizard shrieked in pain and surprise before managing to gain enough altitude to get away from the heat. The sensation of pain dulled the lust a little and for a few moments the brown debated whether or not to finish the run. It would be so much easier to simply go find his lovely and bask in the comfort she would give.
Elysia simply continued on with her meal as the run went on, resolved to totally ignore Mi’rah. Tidbits of meat and cheese where fed to Amour as he sat on her shoulder and occasionally gave a head rub or lick to her neck. Loved his gold did the smaller brown. So beautiful she was. Was she egg heavy yet? She should be. She would have the most lovely babies ever he was sure and… Oh! The younger of Elysia’s two firelizards gave a startled cry as the pain flashed across the bond and he pressed himself against this bonded’s neck in an effort to soothe both himself and her. The greenrider flinched at the shared pain and shot a worried look at the kitchens. The benden rider loved her two firelizards. Very much. They where part of her family and Elysia was very, very attached to both of the browns, although she would never admit such out loud normally.
Still Baron was her favorite of the two. Simply because, unlike Amour, he didn’t bother her constantly. The brown was extremely well behaved, affectionate, and never caused her a lick of trouble. It actually infuriated her that he had been hurt and for a moment the greenrider debated going to find him and making whoever hurt her darling pay. However the moment soon passed Elysia realizing no good could possibly come out of it, and so she simply kept closer mental tabs on her pet pressing upon him the desire for him to return. Damn mandyr runs where more trouble then they where sharding worth. Why her brown chose to chase the worms was beyond her. A mild glare was shot at the gesturing bronzerider. He could come to her if he wanted her so bad. Elysia was not moving.

Sneak flew swiftly through the kitchens, instinctively moving higher. The male was a touch awed by the bravery of the lovely green mandyr but, at the same time, he worried for her. One mistake, and things would not go so well for her, no they wouldn't. Not with all the sharp pointies. Sneak was very familiar with sharp pointies, due to His. The male quickly flashed images at all those drudges operating those pointy knives - not so pretty images of dismembered salamandyrs and angry people. All up and down the line, people seemed to hesitate, at the flash of images if nothing else. Disaster momentarily averted, or so the brown determined, he tucked his wings and rolled above their heads in the direction of the glowing beauty.
He looped low over the hearths, daring the flames, even, where they lit up his fire-hued hide...but never quite going close enough to get himself burned. A glance at the screech had him immediately winging higher, however. Had that salamandyr just attacked the other brown firelizard? No, not a salamandyr. He was just trying to hitch a ride, of course. An accident. Still, Sneak determined it was probably best to steer clear of further accidents, and increased the distance between him and Guru.

Big Brother was the last into the kitchens, curling around the door frame to flutter down on to a counter. Hm, harder to hide in here. The blue tied himself into an anxious knot, doing his best to look like an old dish towel. Peccadillo or safety? Well, that choice was easy. He had to know how the run ended, especially now that he was involved, and he had to have Peccadillo, if she'd let him. So why the hesitation? He wasn't above taking risks to get the information he needed, so why the niggling doubt?
A glance back out to the dining room solved that problem. Mindmate. Big Brother didn't want to bother his person, but Tenlie had never been able to keep him away from a scandal and she wasn't about to start now. If she was afraid he would get hurt, well... that was just plain silly. She was just slowing him down. With a comforting jab in Ten's direction, the Blue unfurled, hissing at a nearby drudge who had nearly grabbed him in an attempt to wipe sauce off her hands. Now, where had his beautiful, clever Green gotten to?
Winging high above heads and dangerous knives, Big Brother spotted her in the salad and wasted no more time. Tucking his wings, he dive-bombed the lettuce, pulling up just in time to avoid Peccadillo as she exploded out of it. Sneaky! Big Brother liked sneaky, and his murmured grumble clearly communicated that his personal idiot back in the dining room was the last thing on his mind. Guru's uncouth leap was avoided, Baron's squawk ignored; Big Brother had eyes only for the green salamandyr. He swooped daringly for the flames, seeming to trail a wing right through the fire without getting burned. If that wasn't daring, he didn't know what was.
Ten didn't remember Mi'rah being quite so... poised? Then again, his leg seemed to be doing much better. With another surge of redness, Ten caught herself batting her eyelashes. What was she thinking? Sure, Mi'rah had been a perfect gentleman in the face of that awful woman at the gather, and he was a war hero, but he had to be close to twice her age. Normally she would have scoffed at herself, but suddenly she just felt oddly... comfortable. She surrendered the redfruit with a shy smile and didn't flinch at his touch, although she didn't exactly lean in to it. Emulating her mindmate without realizing it, she ignored Elysia and Quintrell, eyes locked on Mi'rah instead. She wasn't going to move, but she was paying attention.

Oh decisions, decisions. She knew it was that time, after all she was sort of working herself into a corner and hey, the hearths were really hot, and that did sort of take something out of you. Especially when your blood was already boiling from the run, from all of the firelizards that were bordering on striking a nerve with her. One of them did have to go, and well he had already been kind of taken care of by the bronze salamandyr - knew how to win points with her that Guru did - but just incase there was any question as to whether he should continue to try she attempted kindness in her shooing away of one of the brown firelizards. Too hot in kitchen, get out. Bye brown ugly. She did her best to make it directed very clearly to Baron before skittering off and jumping onto a black kettle that was cooling over dying embers. Now who...now whoo?
As Peccadillo dismissed the brown, Mi'rah was quick to dismiss the firelizard's human counterpart. He turned his back on Elysia without even a bit of remorse, she after all was ignoring him, so why even waste his time? And oh! He finally found Guru's person...what was he doing sneaking around over there? All sunken down under the table and already wrapped in a blanket. How appropriate, this one brought his bed with him and he very much approved of it. Mi'rah crawled over the table the wherhandler was hiding at and grabbed for that blanket draped around him in the hopes of pulling him back up into the light, "Why hide from me?" He narrowed his eyes with genuine concern.
The green salamandyr decided on her next cull. Although the other brown firelizard was quite clever, and hadn't done anything exactly wrong, he was still much to late to the race to have been really given a fair chance. If he was on time next run she would be sure to give him a second chance....should she remember that is. Before springing off of the pot, she made sure to let Sneak know that he should really try another time, Brown ugly two. Next time better luck. That was good enough right? Right.
Now it was just down to her two favorites, and it was oh so hard to pick. Big Brother had been the first to answer her call, and attacked that ugly green at the very beginning and look at his tricks, dipping a wing towards that flame. So so nice...but Guru seemed so willing to be bad with her, and stayed well within view the whole time, and he too went after a firelizard and with much more success. Turning on a dime, she seemed to charge right back at her finalists. Really she wanted both of them, but the likelihood of a threesome featuring a firelizard just did not seem very high. Shame. But maybe some day her dream would come true, until then she could only pick one of them, Guru sweet....give me taste... and she pounced right at the mossy bronze.
Mi'rah turned for a moment to give a forlorn, slightly regretful look at Ten before turning his attention back at Quintrell. Winner. Must give him prize right? Under the tiny green's influence he forgot how big he was, and dropped into the lap of his chosen, nearly tipping the chair backwards, and roughly he bit at the other man's neck before pulling back and grabbing at a wrist. He was going to come along with him yes?
