Looking down at the interior of the trunk she’d been assigned, Sasheen resisted the urge to repack her half yet another time. Choosing to wear the everyday wear she’d been given, along with the work boots, she had packed away formal outfit and the candidate robes she’d also received. There were a few things that she had brought with her, items from home that brought a sense of longing to her heart when she handled them and a few things she’d acquired at Selentas Hold during her short stay there; nothing from Benden, however. There was nothing she wanted to remember from that place. It had proved to be more difficult than she’d imagined to fit everything in to the space allowed but after tightly rolling the clothing and piecing the rest in like a puzzle, she’d managed to achieve her goal. Knowing that if she didn’t stop now she’d continue to obsess over possible wrinkles Sasheen rose to her feet and turned away from the trunk.
Glancing at the sharply made bunk before she left the room, Sasheen left third floor and entered the common areas on the first floor, wandering around for a few moments to memorize the layout and where everything was. The place was clean and simple, a fact that she appreciated and that made her feel more comfortable. There were a few other candidates in the room but she hadn’t met any of them yet and wasn’t feeling like interrupting conversations to introduce herself just yet.
Having just arrived Sasheen was told she would need to go through a medical check at some point and wasn’t sure when that would be. Because of this she didn’t think wandering around the Weyr was a good idea and really wasn’t sure if was something she was supposed to be doing. When she’d agreed to come she had been confidant but since her arrival memories of Benden had been filtering into her thoughts, making her slightly uneasy. But if what she been told at Selentas Hold had any merit, Selentas Weyr was nothing like Benden and she’d soon forget those feelings once again.
Instead of awkwardly standing in the room, Sasheen went out to the landing deck and, at the inner corner where the deck met the outside wall of the candidate barracks, sank down to the ground. She leaned against the wall and let her legs swing lightly as they hung down towards the ground. Surveying her surroundings, Sasheen focused on watching the people and dragons that she saw.
This was a great view.

Crystoph had shoved his merger belongings haphazardly into his assigned trunk. He sat tapping his foot as his twin carefully packed each belonging. “Your worse than a woman Mik honestly.” The red head tossed his locks back and balanced the hilt of his knife on his palm. “If it’s all the same to you I’m going to head downstairs and scope out our new roomies.” Giving his brother a wink he tossed the knife and deftly caught it. Was he showing off? Perhaps, but it was also a warning. Yes he was armed. Yes he was dangerous. Don’t mess with him. Turning on his heel Crystoph made his way down the stairs into the common room. The groups of talking youngsters seemed to shrink into each other as he came into view. A fact Crystoph noted and smirked about. They where right to be leery. Whether it was his confident stride, dark clothing, or severe looks that caused the unease he didn’t know nor did he care. In fact the Benden runaway had intentionally lined his eyes with black liner for his first foray into the weyr. He liked the second looks it earned him.
Breezing out onto the landing Crystoph spied Sasheen out of the corner of his eye, perched on the edge of the platform was the girl. She was very pretty, easy on the eyes so to speak. It had been awhile since his last “conquest”. Besides she was a fellow candidate, they where supposed to be loose. Better for the dragons. Whatever the excuse for it was, Crystoph didn’t care. Taking a running start he breezed past her and jumped from the platform to grab onto a large overhanging branch. Swinging from it, he deftly hooked his long legs over it and hung upside down. If Crystoph didn’t get to her first Mik would snatch her. He was the sweet talker, Crystoph just got off on physical ability and dashing good looks.
“So. I’m new. Your new to. I suppose this is the part where we exchange names and make nice.” The candidate was aware that he probably looked quite silly at the moment, his insanely long locks streaming down toward the ground below. It was also dangerous but the shock factor was what he was aiming for. Crystoph swung up onto the branch properly and perched on it. “Name’s Crystoph. I’m from Blossom. You would be?” The red head intentionally kept his voice light, airy, and uninterested. Playing hard to get worked wonders sometimes after all. The former Benden candidate knew all the tricks.
Southern women may be a bit different though. Who’s to say? He kept his demeanor intentionally unworried and fearless. Impressing them worked as well. Wasn’t he daring? Although Crystoph wouldn’t have been this open with a male, Sasheen was defiantly not male, and she had a nice body. One couldn’t be faulted for trying. Mikail would doubtlessly charm her pants off if he didn’t first and Crystoph refused to bed those his brother touched. It got awkward for lack of a better word. The two where identical after all mistakes in identity happened. Not that Crystoph would trade his brother for anything. Oh no, looking identical had it’s advantages.

Speaking of identical, Mikail's trunk was just as messy as Crystoph's, he was just fussing over it more. While Cry had simply tossed everything in in the half-folded state he'd received it in, Mik felt the need to at least re-fold it all. He'd never be comfortable with the thing as messy as Crystoph left his- he just knew it would just bother him until he came back up and fixed it. Still, he wasn't in the mood to fold, tuck and arrange- What he REALLY wanted to do was meet his bunkmates. Unfortunately, no one was there right then besides Crystoph, and that didn't help Mik at all. Neither, however, did his twin flipping a dagger a few inches from Mik's ear, so when Crystoph asked if it was ok to leave, Mik just waved a hand over his head, not even taking his eyes off his trunk. Not too much later, the whole thing was arranged to his liking, so he stood up to go. There was no one upstairs, so he decided to head to the common room and scope out the more interesting half of the Barracks. As much as Mikail thought it was important to know the people you were sleeping near, he much preferred meeting the people he could be sleeping with. Adjusting his light khaki shirt, he fiddled with the third button on his way down the stairs, trying to decide whether to keep it closed or not. He decided on yes just as he entered the common area, a preemptive grin lighting his eyes as he prepared to find his twin. But Crystoph was not in the room. Eying a small balcony off to one side, Mikail stuck his head through the door and immediately had to make sure he wasn't grinning evilly. There was no reason Cry would be up in a tree except if he was trying to impress a girl, and lo and behold, there was a lovely specimen swinging her legs off the edge. Replacing the dangerous grin with an angelic, innocent smile, Mik said, "Oh, there you are, Crystoph. Just wanted to know where you'd gotten off to. I'll, uh- leave you two alone to get to know each other." Crystoph was trying so hard not to be interested that Mikail knew he must be, so he'd leave this one for his brother. He preferred lighter hair anyway, although that definitely would never stop if he thought he had a chance with a brunette. After all, Crystoph had spotted her first, and fair was fair. And there was plenty more where that came from if his cursory scan of the common room was anything to go by. But it would be rude to leave without introducing himself, so Mikail lounged against the door frame for a second, offering "I'm Mikail, by the way. Nice to meet you." ((feel free to tell Mikail to get out if you want, I just figured he should stick his head in I'd also be happy to stay and play))

A sharp, sudden movement to her side brought her out of her thoughts and made Sasheen jump, clutching the side of the building for support as she watched… Hair. Confused for a moment, she watched as a tall figure leapt off the landing and attached itself to a large tree branch. Ah, a boy. Oh, a boy. This day just got a bit better. Quirking an eyebrow as she watched him hang from the tree Sasheen tilted her head to one side and wondered if he’d ever bothered to test the strength of the branch he was currently swinging his legs over. When it didn’t come crashing down beneath him she figured either it was a stroke of luck that it didn’t have rot or thread damage or he knew something. Either way, it wasn’t worth mentioning. Sasheen knew how to stroke a male ego… and how to crush one as well. This was not the time for the latter.
He was talking to her and she moved her eyes from the hair to his face and smiled in return. He moved again and sat up on the branch (a much more flattering position) and was about to respond when another voice, very similar to the first, spoke. Turning her head she glanced at the second figure and did a double take. Hair. Ah, twins. She’d only met one other set in her life and they were young boys back at home with a knack for getting into trouble. Twisting her body, Sasheen leaned against the building so she could look between them without straining her neck.
“Hello…” She said, glancing back at the first one “I am Sasheen from Nerat.” A grin accompanied her words and she turned to the second one. “Nice to meet you as well.” Biting her lower lip to keep herself from looking too amused, “You said..” This was directed at Crystoph, “That you are new… I just got here from Selentas Hold. When did you guys arrive? Can we go in the jungle?” She asked, hoping they’d know if a foray into the trees was allowed and that the answer would be yes…. She really hoped that they weren’t restricted to the barracks when they weren’t doing chores or lessons. She actually had a bunch of questions to ask someone that knew; where the washroom was (specifically, not the general location she’d already been given), when dinner was served (she was starving), who was the candidate master and why had she been warned to watch her ears?... but bombarding the two with questions didn’t seem appropriate.

Crystoph smiled as Sasheen turned to regard him with curiosity. The fact that she didn’t immediately scold him was point one in her favor. His grin began wider as she raised an eyebrow at his antics amusement was also a very good reaction. Mikail’s voice caused him to cock his head at his younger twin, hair spilling over his shoulder intentionally. “Oh you know me Mikail, just hanging around.” He winked at Sasheen as he cracked the joke. “Leaving so soon? I’m sure…” He waited until she had introduced herself.
“Sasheen wouldn’t mind your company. Don’t run off like a scared wherrie.” Dropping from the branch suddenly, he caught it with his hands and swung from it for a moment before increasing the speed of the swing and letting go at precisely the right moment. The red head touched down on the edge of the platform with ease and winked at Sasheen again. “Since my brother has oh so diplomatically introduced himself. I’m Crystoph. If you can’t tell us apart just remember he’s the clumsy one.” The candidate jerked his thumb at the other red head and smiled to take any sting out of his words. There was no insult intended, Mik already knew that. It was just playful baiting. All part of a game that was rapidly becoming very interesting.
The question as to his origin had Crystoph smiling. “We are from Blossom actually. So your from the north? Fascinating.” Clicking his tongue, he exchanged a guarded glance with his brother. “As to whether or not we are allowed to go traipsing around the jungle? I’m not sure if that’s allowed or not. But I’m game if you are? Mik you up for a adventure?” Sasheen was one he was willing to play with for awhile before claiming. Besides he trusted Mikail not to undermine him when he had obviously already noted his brother’s interest. They just didn’t do that to each other. It was an unspoken rule they both followed almost instinctually. “To tell you the truth, we both got here probably not long after you. So we aren’t sure of the rules either. Surely they can’t fault us new arrivals for not knowing what’s expected.” Smiling he extended his hand.

Mik matched his twin grin for grin as he and Sasheen introduced themselves. Sasheen- pretty name, that. Mikail was enjoying this mini-challenge already, despite the fact that both boys knew he'd politely bow out if things started to get... interesting. That's the way it worked between them. As Crystoph grabbed Sasheen's attention again with his acrobatics, Mikail took the moment to check her out again- not bad, not bad at all. He was definately sad that Cry had spotted her first. Ah well, what was done was done, and there were plenty more females around the Weyr.
Mik tuned in again just in time to be called clumsy, and stuck his tounge out playfully at Crystoph just as his shoulder slipped sideways off the door frame and he had to catch himself awkwardly against it. "Damn it, Cry, I'm never clumsy until you point it out!" he whined, obviously in good fun. "Well, if I'm not being clumsy at the moment, Crystoph is the one who likes to risk his fingers every ten minutes or so playing with knives. Just, you know, for reference," he retorted after recovering his balance.
Mik let the two of them talk a bit as he re-adjusted his shirt, vaguely worried about wrinkles. "The forest, eh? Sounds like a plan. I don't care if we're allowed to or not, no one's gonna stop us."
((sorry for the quick ending, I wanted to get it done for you guys and didn't exactly have time to finish XD Do we want to move them to the forest anyway?))
