((Sorry, couldn't resist the title.))
The buckets of meat were hastily passed about by various drudges in differing states of excitement and nervousness. Excitement for it was a Hatching, nervousness for the new dragonettes' appetites. And the fact that some were deformed. As it was, one such deformed pair walked rather awkwardly to where the meat was set out, the bronze crooning to his Chosen.
T'ren gently set his new lifemate down and Kasraith tucked his hind legs in, laying on his belly to be more comfortable. He butted his head at his Chosen, eyes whirling red with hunger. Food please, he asked determinedly. My belly is making wierd noises.
"That's because you're hungry," T'ren said jokingly while grabbing a pail of meat cuts. Kas looked at him as if he were a dimglow, even going so far as to huff out of his nose. T'ren just laughed and placed the small pieces into his bronze's awaiting mouth.
Another pair entered soon after the legless bronze and his Chosen, this pair looking quite healthy. The drudges cutting and sorting meat were visibly relieved by the sight of a still-wet green and her beaming Bonded. Liamorth looked over to the bronze and crooned sadly. She didn't like seeing her Clutchmates so hurt, but her own aching stomach was higher on the priority list.
Please, AleneMine. Your Liamorth is wasting away! Alene chuckled and rubbed her green's head.
"Well, we can't have that can we?" Liamorth shook her head vehemently. No! So the green followed beside her Bonded as she picked out a spot and sat with a meat bucket. Liamorth chewed the pieces fully efore swallowing, unlike her bronze counterpart.

V'nus gently led his still-wet Vemorath to a spot near a green dragonet and her rider. As he fed Vemorath slices of meat he saw the deformed bronze. Compassion and thankfulness clustered around in V'nus's mind, compassion for the poor little bronze and his rider and thankfulness for Vemorath being healthy.
Mmmm, meat is gooood, Vemorath said happilly as he gulped down yet another piece of meat. My brother is hurt, Vemorath said suddenly and stopped eating, looking at Kasraith curiously. Why are you hurt, brother? He asked Kasraith silently.
"It's a magical thing, impressing," V'nus observed quietly to Alene while holding out a piece of meat for Vemorath when he decided to start to eat again. "I never imagined it would be so, so..." Verentinus struggled with the right word. "Amazing," V'nus's voice was soft as he thought back to when he had impressed Vemorath, only a few moments ago.

Kasraith paused from his meal long enough to look over at his brown brother. The sand bit me, he said matter-of-factly, making his rider chuckle. Did it bite you too?
Alene smiled to the new rider, rubbing the now full Liamorth who crooned pleasantly. "It is," she said, a little overwhelmed. She looked up from her dragon, a small smile plastered to her face. "I don't think we've met yet. I'm Alene, and this is Liamorth."

Z'hin breezed in with Jessereth in tow, the poor brown having to struggle a little to keep up with his Mine on his still somewhat unsteady legs. Hatchlings could not be running around just yet, after all! At least not gracefully. He snuffed in annoyance, but really he was somewhat glad to find Z'hin so happy. The man grinned up at V'nus, clapping the other weyrling on the back with a staggering strength that was not unsimilar to the younger man's own, as he burst out, "So what's his name?" His name is Vemorath, Z'hinMine, Jessereth responded with exquisite patience. And I am very hungry. Feed me. Please. Now is good.
The swarthy man laughed, taking a handful of meat and feeding his bonded one strip at a time. Neither really noticed the oldest of the weyrlings, the healer who strode in far more sedately, flightless Phremath close to her side. A protective flare sparked in the woman's eyes, even as she stooped to feed Phremath, the green's eyes swirling in pleasure. Good morning, clutchmates! the green broadcasted. It wasn't really morning, but she didn't seem to notice.

Vemorath blinked at Kasraith. No, it did not bit me. I don't understand, how could the sand bit you? Vemorath asked confused before turning to the pretty green beside him. Hello, Liamorth! I'm Vemorath! Vemorath greeted Liamorth cheerfully. Two of Vemorath's clutchmates arrived, Phremath and Jessereth. Hello, Jessereth! I am a brown too! Vemorath told Jessereth although it was pretty obvious that Vemorath was brown too. And good morning to you too, Phremath! Vemorath said cheerfully, the brown was intent on getting to know as many dragons as possible. Now that he had greeted all the dragons, Vemorath continued to attack the piece of meat before him.
"Hello, Alene," V'nus said and smiled at Alene pleasantly. "I'm Verentinus, no! V'nus!" V'nus chuckled at his own mistake, he still wasn't quite used to changing names. "And the talker there is Vemorath," he said and pointed at Vemorath who was currently gulping down a big piece of meat.
V'nus grinned at Z'hin and answered the question that Jessereth had already answered, but V'nus didn't know about that. "His name is Vemorath," V'nus said, a pleasant smile plastered on his face. "What's yours name?" V'nus asked, pointing to Jessereth.
V'nus barely noticed the newcomer, the one with the flightless green. "Hello, what's your name?" He called out to Kalierre. "And who is that beautiful green over there?" Sorrow filled V'nus's eyes, poor Phremath! He hoped that Kalierre would take good care of her.

The smallest weyrling entered the room, followed closely by his bonded, blue Ayisseth. Ayisseth, one of the 'perfect' dragons from the clutch, was making a low rumbling sound. Miiiiine, I'm huuuunnngry! Normally A'en would have entered the room unnoticed, and would have surprised everyone by speaking, but with one of the dragonets from this clutch, that was hard to do. Especially when Ayisseth kept grumbling. A'en quickly wandered over to the side of the room, and grabbed a bucketful of meat. Feeding it a piece at a time to his lifemate, Ayisseth swallowed the meat quickly, and demanded more. Mine? Faster? Your Ayisseth is HUNGRY! Like most of the dragonets in the room, Ayisseth was still ravenous from Hatching, and ate like a maniac. While he fed he dragon, A'en spoke up. "Uh, hello. I'm A'en, you probably don't know me from candidacy, as I got Chosen right before the Hatching. This hungry one here is Ayisseth." Even while eating, Ayisseth somehow managed to nod, and said to all the dragons, Hello! I'm Ayisseth. Mine is A'en. Who are you, and Yours?"((Ignore my random given personality to Ayisseth, I haven't gotten my description for him yet ))
