Keloran headed towards the trail. "Just remember, we're not supposed to go into the jungle on our own, so let's not get separated."
And they'd better be back by curfew, too. Well, sooner than that. There might be felines out there, and two boys with belt knives would be a losing proposition against even one of the dangerous big cats. Keloran shook his head, trying not to think of that.
His frustration had ebbed, he had things to think about and focus on, and he was able to forget how messed up his life was. Having a friend who could distract him from it? That helped a lot.
The day was gorgeous, but he wished it would rain.. The trees were showing signs of the drought, wilting and browning a little. The grass? He didn't want to think about the grass. If this continued, it could be bad for Selenitas...and the surrounding Holds. They might end up on short rations...and he inwardly sighed. A shortage meant that he would be eating fish for weeks, with the meat saved for the dragons.
Keloran hated fish. "Gah. I need cheering up."

Cloar looked over at Keloran for a moment as they strode out into the forest, and then nodded agreement. "You certainly look it. Howcome is it, that you get depressed so easily?" He inquired, with honest concern.
He was wearing a totally fresh set of clothing, from his escapade in the baths, so he was mostly dry. His dark black hair still was slightly damp, but that hardly bothered him at all. Across his chest was slung the strap to a bag that he had taken to carrying with him when he went exploring. Just in case he found something neat that he might like to carry back and show to someone.
"Don't pull any dissappearing acts on me, and I might keep an eye on you yet." Cloar jibed, before poking Keloran in the side with a thick finger.
