Who knew his Wing had such a sense of family. E'rro had literally brought a palm to his face when Raebeli had mentioned obtaining a 'mysterious' fruit basket from some well wishers. Yeah, wishing for more days off more like it. The Wingleader had never thought he was pushing Legatus too hard, especially since all the people in it had extensive training previous (with the exception of K'sel and Pettahth, who had been demanded for by Ismaroth), and he still thought that. Bunch of smartasses. He hoped they had enjoyed their day off, because they wouldn't be getting another for a while. Shifting as he checked the straps to make sure they were secure, E'rro gave the Runners a pat for being so patient.
Planning dates was so much harder than he thought they'd be but after a few hours of banging his head on the wall he managed to formulate a plan. He just hoped it was a good one. From what he'd managed to interrogate investigate the Brownrider hadn't found anything about Raebeli being afraid of Runners, which was workable because he'd rather try another form of transportation than dragonback. E'rro didn't know how much experience his date had with Runners, so he borrowed a little Mare who was patient enough for any type of rider. He'd been fortunate enough to run into the Weyrwoman on the way to the stables, since Tika and Condor where the Runners he'd been planning on obtaining for the afternoon.
Leaning quietly against a tree, he waited for Raebeli to arrive. He'd finished getting ready a little early so he had a few minutes of silence to himself which he used to run through his schedule for the week. It also lead to thoughts of K'ian, his fellow Councilmember, and how suddenly the Bronzerider was trying to become friendly with him. Suspicious E'rro was indeed, suspicious. He'd never really did anything but politely tolerate the man, so there had to be some sort of catch to the other man's actions. Sighing, he shrugged. Oh well now really wasn't the time to think too deeply into it, he had to pay full attention to the Greenrider when she arrived. With that he pushed his bangs back out of his face and crossed his arms along his chest, happy to just listen to the sounds of the jungle.
---
Meanwhile, Ismaroth was happily sun bathing in the hills around Burimyu. The Brown was waiting for Quixoth, having invited her to join him while his Ermine and her Raebeli were off galavanting with Runners. It would be nice if they could become friends, since it was possible that they would be spending plenty of time around eachother now that Theirs' were romancing eachother. Plus, they'd never really sat down to talk or enjoy eachother's company, and now was the perfect time to do so.

Raebeli got a kick out of mysteries, especially the act of trying to unravel them. Maybe that was part of why she liked E'rro so much, he was one giant puzzle wrapped inside of an enigma, and everything he touched became part of that legend. So of course that meant that by extension, today's date was shrouded in secrecy as well, and though she tried her own interrogation techniques (the brownrider wasn't the only one who knew how to corner a person and get answers) she managed to fail to get even so much as a clue in to regards to what exactly they'd be doing on this particular foray. Well save for one... the hint that she might want to wear a pair of pants. It was utterly hard to do so considering her adoration for skirts, and she clung to them when she wasn't at work or in drills, but she nonetheless had a pair of slacks to tuck into some boots.
Besides, none of this was anything that couldn't be overcome with a little effort put elsewhere. With what limited wardrobe that could be gathered at the hidden mountain weyr, she was still able to pick out a top that was simple yet elegant. Hanging off of a shapely shoulder, with sleeves bunched at the elbows, her lavender top was a tad muted considering her usual style choices, but worked to display the delicacy of the light tan she bore in the Southern climate. And judging by their surroundings - she gave the runners something of a double take - it was probably good that she didn't go out of her way to dress in anything other than a basic fabric. If she knew anything at all about runners - and in all honesty she didn't - it was that if they were around she was probably going to get dirty.
Not that there was anything wrong with that of course. She had been known to get herself into a mess or two. Especially messes involving a certain harper and cooking powders, but she was expecting to be horsing around those times. Raebeli honestly didn't know how she felt about showing off her clumsy moments of tomboyishness in front of the young man who had been courting her, but pressed the anxieties away with a smile. It wasn't hard to automatically grin a little bit anyway as she approached the brownrider, "So what excitement lays in store for me today?" She twitched her head at the runners, "These your friends?"
--
It was never the same to fly without her rider, but then Quixoth was always so happy to just stretch her wings and get out, that there was hardly a complaint to be had the whole way in meeting Ismaroth. In fact, the green took it as a chance to do some more daring moves that couldn't be done while being jockeyed, such as a few good twirls and twists that would otherwise lead to Raebeli's motion sickness. Sure, she was more likely to aim for efficiency when flying - that was just the smart thing to do - but considering she was to be spending the day paling around, being so exact didn't seem like a necessity. She was fully living by the expression, "When in Rome."
Spotting the brown, she cut off any linger antics and drew herself together into the perfect picture of composure. Not even a stray trill left her throat as she slid in for a landing next to her companion. Friendliness didn't bubble from Quixoth the way it did from the mindhealer, but she did display it in her words regardless, albeit in a much calmer manner. Eyes whirling a pleasant blue, the dragon sort of danced in place for a moment as she eased into a settled position and greeted Ismaroth, Oh, hello Ismaroth friend. You look rather comfortable, I trust you picked the best patch of sun.

Rustling brush, footsteps, the chatter of animals... all condusive to the arrival of his Date. His eyes swung over to the trail head with the assumption that Raebeli hadn't deviated from the mail path. His assumptions were rewarded as the Greenrider stepped out from the thin tree line. Raising a hand he gave a little wave and pushed off of his own tree to greet her. "I don't know if excitement is the word to use." He smiled and happily gave her a hug. "At least I hope it doesn't become too exciting." The Brownrider turned to look at the Runners. "Friends by association. The black mare is Tika and the Red is Condor. I've managed to procure them for the afternoon. I was planning on a trail ride, if its fine with you. Its the begining of summer and all the plants are in bloom. Its really rather wonderful." He paused. "Speaking of wonderful, you look very nice today. Though, I suppose thats expected, since you look pretty everyday."
He also chose to dress down a little today, not that it was an uncommon sight thanks to wing Training with legatus... or wearing his infirmary clothes. He wore a grey sleaveless tunic over the black shirt M'ta had given him, all this was tucked loosely into a pair of brown pants and black knee high boots. All in all, good for being around Runners. "I packed some snacks and drinks, since I don't expect us to be out and about till dinner." A few seconds passed before he spoke again. "So. Are you ready to go?" The Wingleader moved to stand next to the female runner. "I can give you a boost if you'd like."
It had been a while since he himself had ridden, but, many had said it was like learning to drive a cart. One never really forgets. Though it would still be rather embarrassing if Condor did a jig and deposited him on the ground. No use getting nattered about it, he'd just do his best to remember.

Hello Quixoth. I believe so, though either way Rukbat is shinning nicely right now.. He rumbled contentedly. The mountains and foothills behind and around New Selenitas simply had some of the best sunning spots, some were even better than the ones back at their old home. Though none he had found could beat the edge of their old waterfall, where there were no towering trees to block out the sun. He didn't remember everything about the place, but he certainly remembered the rivers. Have you been well? He asked pleasently. I have not seen you in a few days. Mine has been busy elsewhere outside of the healing place. Ismaroth turned a swirling green eye to Quixoth.

The little burn to her cheeks told Raebeli that she was already blushing, and this was before the brownrider opened his mouth. Without the aid of a mirror the greenrider knew that she in fact was turning a healthy pink as the blood rushed to her face and she grinned broadly at the assertion that she was pretty everyday. Her head canted to the side mid embrace and her foot popped up onto her toes to grind into ground coyly, "You don't say?" She peeped out the words almost accusatory, but any bite was surely lost in the squinting of her eyes; a smile was bunching up her gaze into only tiny slits from which to see from. Her mother had warned her of this - smiling too much. It would only cause wrinkles there around the eyes... the woman had been convinced of this. Raebeli never put much worth into the warnings though, a bright expression had to overcome such petty little flaws anyway.
"Compliments will get you everywhere E'rro," she peeled herself away from him only reluctantly, and mostly to fulfill her curiosities with the runners, and edge closer to them, in her hesitant manner. She wasn't the most well versed with the creatures. That was for sure. Her own passage to the South was even devoid of the creatures... she had rode on a wagon - pulled by burden beasts no less - to the coast, while the rest of her passage was a sea voyage. Thankfully it was a rather uneventful one at that. Nonetheless, she was ever the open minded individual. Being a mindhealer was practically a guarantee of that. So she stepped up to the pair of runners, granting them the same sort of respect that people give the big felines or lightning strikes. For all of their beauty she was weary of a pair of teeth or a stray hoof, "Well, hello Tika and Condor... it's nice to meet you both," her attention strayed off for a moment to return to the brownrider, "Yeah... I think I could use a lift indeed," she giggled without remorse and took to mounting the mare, but only with her date's help. One wouldn't think it such a challenge for a dragonrider... but then, dragons were different. Quixoth often offered a leg up.
--
I have! Why thank you for asking, The green practically purred in response. She did enjoy conversation with the brown, if only because the miniscule dragon enjoyed flexing mental muscles every bit as much as her wings. With no lack of curiosity, the dragon pursued the line of questioning that followed Ismaroth's comment, Ohhh. Business elsewhere? Where is else where? Is it secret? She would not put it past him to keep his recent whereabouts between himself and his rider, You can tell me, I am good at keeping secrets...hmmmm. Her thoughts drifted off quickly as they were romanced by the idea of exotic adventures, How I wish my Raelove had places to be outside of the healing place. The ledge there gets so sad, even if there is no shortage of dragons to talk to.
