G'tor looked grim for a moment and stared off as if he could see their lost friends through the stone. He was quiet for a while, lost in thought. "I don't know," he said finally. No reason to sugar coat it. Dorova was a grown rider, even if she was having a bad night. He looked back at her and gave a reassuring smile. "But I believe they're alive and I know they're strong enough to pull through," he said firmly. He had to believe that.
Still smiling, G'tor slide into a spare chair next to Dorova. He really didn't need to sit, but it was nice to be at eye level with her. "It has been stressful of late," he agreed with a laugh. "But sometimes that's the best time to have company." He stroked Tervain as the older green glared at Ranchan getting all the attention. Where was Star hiding? Maybe he aught to tempt her out with some treats. She had to get used to the new green sooner or later. "At least together we might find some sanity in all this," he suggested.

Even as her fingers continued to gently stroke the young flitter, Dorava watched G'tor in silence. Sometimes he almost struck her as able to figure things out from the very faintest of clues... but maybe that was just a facade. Something she was imagining. She had no idea. But yes, in the end, he did admit to not knowing. Not that it was realistic to expect him to know anything. "I hope they are. I hope they can also figure out a way to fix this mess." Nevermind that was a massive long shot, on anyone's part. Much less for a lot of shelterless and supply-less exiled riders and a scattered handful of weyrfolk.
Dorava watched still as he sat down in another chair, appreciating the friendly nature. "Company is always nice, regardless of the stress levels." She pointed out. "Good company, anyway. Bad company can make things worse sometimes." shrugging, she contemplated Ranchan for a moment before looking over at Tervain. Who, if she was at all good at reading flitters (which she might not be since her own flitter had spent all of her time sleeping), was quite green with envy. Hah. Green. With envy. The strange and backward pun cracked a smile on her face that wouldn't be denied, even as she looked at G'tor again. Only to realize that in her own ruminations she'd managed to miss at least half of what he'd just said there at the end. What had he said? She tried to recall it, but in the end failed miserably. Okay, time to just ... make something up. This was usually where she opened her mouth and stuck her foot in it... let's try not to do that today, okay? "To stay sane, wouldn't we have had to have started out that way?" she asked, as a wild stab toward what he'd been saying, and also as a stab toward humor.
