Shunk.
The position of your hand was off. Shut up.
Thud.
You're footing was wrong. Shut up.
Thunk.
Better. Thank you, oh Grandmaster.
Stalking over to the tree she had been aiming at, the Bluerider plucked out the knife that had actually stuck in the bark. She then retrieved the two that had bounced off the tree and skittered into the underbrush. She wasn't happy, mainly because she was having so much trouble with the throwing knives. Saraina was a good at close range combat, but it the long range weapons that rankled her. The unhelpful comments from her Dragon and the chattering from her firelizards did nothing to lighten her mood ether, in fact the only one from their five person troupe that wasn't bothering the Bluerider was her Canine. He was quiet and watchful, laying silently beside Hokth exactly where she had commanded him to stay. Soleil had grown into a handsome canine, and had proved her misgivings about having a dog wrong from the very beginning. She was grateful for his presence. Again. Saraina hissed at the Blue as she turned to face the Tree again. Since when had Hokth become her task master?
She tossed the first one and watched it bounce off as the hilt hit the bark instead of the blade. The second one was no better. Shifting her weight, the Bluerider whipped back her hand and nearly hurled the third one. It almost missed the tree entirely, but the blade bit into the wood and stayed for a minute before dropping to the ground. Stalking over, Sara retrieved her blades again and stuck them into her belt. I think its time for a break, otherwise I think you might just throw a tantrum. "I didn't ask you for your advice!" She snapped back, causing Soleil to whine and the Flitters to shut their maws. But he was right, she was getting frustrated with her lack of progress in the last three days. Dropping down beside her Canine, Saraina sighed heftily as Zor and Scipio fluttered down to perch on her legs. Chirping their encouragement.
Thanks to the trees, the spot they had chosen was shady and protected them from the midday sun. The Bluepair (and company) were on the opposite side of the River than most people chose to relax on. Seeing as the people would have to fly, swim, or take a boat to get to the other shore. It wasn't as private as she would have liked it to be, but going out to the jungle wasn't something that she considered a good idea. Not with all the disappearances. Folding her arms across her chest the Bluerider tipped her head down and closed her eyes, breathing steadily as she rained in her temper.
