"Zor! SHUT UP! Scipio! STOP BITING!" Snarling as the two Blues snapped and twittered at each other, Saraina grabbed one in each hand and held them an arm's length away from on another. They had been so naughty recently, aways starting with Scipio trying to make Zor play with him, it was starting to drive her and Hokth insane. The Dragon thought it would be a good idea for her to take them to the Gather, he thought the new sights and smells would distract them, but he was wrong. "I swear I will ask Hokth to eat you, and you know he'll do it!" Enforcing this statement with a horrible image of the large Blue, barring his teeth and his tongue slithering toward them. That seemed to do the trick, because now instead of squawking, both of them were trying to scamper up her arms and hide in her collar. "There. Look. Now I've scared you. Lets not 'ave to do that again, eh?" Cracking her knuckles as she waited for Zor to claim his place on her right shoulder under her hair, and Scipio to hide inside the collar on her left side, the Bluerider glanced around the square with interest.
For the moment, she had absolutely no intention of buying anything at the Gather, the Bluerider wanted to save her Marks for a Rainy day. But, it wouldn't stop her from looking around, and maybe... just maybe, buy a pie at the baker's stall, not that she needed any extra calories. A chirp from her shoulder signified Scipio launching off her collarbone and into the air, twisting around with a cock of his head before disappearing between. "Farnath preserve! Now is /not/ the time I want to be playing Hide and Go Seek. Zor. Locate him will you?" Unlacing him from her hair and holding him in the palm of her hand, Saraina watched him for a moment, tracking him with her eyes as he pushed off into the air. "Just what I needed, a firelizard chase through the stalls of a Gather in a Square I've only been to once. Great. Now. On the other hand. If I was still a thief, it would be a wonderful cover story. To bad. I'm sure I'd get flogged and Quartered by Shmee and F'rah if I got caught..." Hissing as she vaulted over a fallen child, Saraina lengthened her stride to keep up with her oldest Flitter. The barking and mewling pre-alerted her to where they were headed, making her curse under her breath. "Zor, return!" Nearly crashing into the Blue as he twittered happily, the Bluerider winced as his claws sunk into her thin jerkin. Skidding to a halt in front of the stall, Saraina searched for the source of the animal's agitation, finding the Blue in the middle of the Canine pen. "Scipio." Hissing again, the young Rider yanked on the bond that held them together, forcing him to return. "Scipio, you are in so much trouble..."
Turning to the stall owner, Sara held onto the younger Firelizard, holding him to her chest. "Sorry fer the trouble he's caused yah. Normally he ain't so cheeky. I 'ope he didn't hurt anything."

"He didn't 'urt no one. But 'e got my animals all riled up an' the like. Look at t'em, all wiggly an' nervous! I suppose I gotta quiet t'em down."
Watching silently as the portly Stall owner almost wobbled over to one of the pens holding felines, Saraina turned her attention to the Canine Pen as soon as the Owner was distracted. Crouching down in front of the Pen, the Bluerider scrunched her nose as about two thirds of the Pups ran up to the side to greet her, tumbling over each other in their eagerness. The pups were a motley crew, small ones and large ones, and even multicolored ones. Apparently, the Canines had recovered faster from the shock of the little Blue Flitter than the Felines and the domestic Avians. Poking one of the Pups in the nose as it pushed it through a slot in the fence, Sara arched an eyebrow in amusement as it sneezed. "Blue, why are yah so nosy? No pun intended." Directing her comment to the Flitter on her left shoulder, the young Rider lifted herself to her feet before turning away from the pen, nearly running into the Stall owner in the process. For a chubby man with accessories, he was sure sharding quiet, for him to sneak up on her like that.
"So. Ye be interested in gettin a Canine? They be good companions, through thick an' thin they be with ya. They be of the finest breedin quality, an' they be only five marks."
"Thank you, but no. I don't need anotha pet, I can barely 'andle two Flitters." Trying to step around the Stall owner, Saraina was blocked once more, the jolly man mimicking her movement.
"Aw, common. Maybe if ye just 'old one, ye will change ye mind."
"No its f--!" She had no time to react as a yellowish tan pup was dumped into her arms, its blue eyes staring up at her, wiggling as his tail thumped against her body. "Er... I..."
"Aint 'e cute? Look at those eyes, they be as blue as the sky!"
"Yes, but I'm not interested. Er... Here." Offering the happy male pup back to the stall owner, the Bluerider started to brush all of the long hairs that had collected on the front of her tunic off, not wanting to have a furry shirt if she could help it. It wasn't long before the Stall owner dumped another pup in her arms, and after refusing the Brown eyed female, another one.
"Sir, really. I 'ave no time to really take care of a Puppy... 'tween watch duty and studying with my guardian, there is little time to do anything." Glancing down at the third pup that had been shoved into her hands, Saraina was almost taken aback. The pup's eyes were such a startling blue, it took the rider a few moments to even draw her own Blue eyes away from them. It was a beautiful pup, not to fluffy and yet not as silky as the golden pup she had held earlier, and it wasn't trying to lick her face. It was just staring up at her from her hands, the muscle above one of it's eyes had retracted, almost giving it a comical look to it. Furrowing her brows and frowning, Saraina mad it look like she wasn't all that interested in this particular pup. Turning the young male around to the sides, the Bluerider glanced up at the Stall owner, the frown still plastered to her face. "I don't know... its a little too young."
"Aye, but 'e's 'ouse trained an' everythin'. 'E looks like 'e likes ye... 'e's only five marks."
Making a small sound of disbelief, Sara was glad the Man was buying into her ruse, other wise she probably wouldn't be able to haggle the price if he though she liked the pup to much. "Well. Lets see." Kneeling down and placing the black and white pup on the ground, the Bluerider slid back slightly. "Sit." The pup did nothing. "Lay down." Nothing again. Giving a snort, Saraina picked up the Pup once more and arranged him so he was peeking over her shoulder. "He doesn't even know sit! Ya said 'an' everything'. Three marks."
"Three! These pups be worth much more than that! But, I'll sell 'im to ye for Four and an' three fourths mark."
"Four."
"Finest quality they be! Four an' three fourths mark."
"Hmm... I will pay Four marks, an' a forth mark."
"Ye drive a hard bargain! Four an two fourths mark."
Furrowing her brow, Saraina hiked the Canine up higher as he began to slip, thinking about the offer. Her flitters were not happy about the pup's intrusion of their sitting space, chittering unhappily as they crowded together on one shoulder. "I will pay ya' Four marks, a forth mark, an' two, two thirtyseconds mark. That sir, is my final offer." The Stall owner seemed to be pleased, she was probably the only person so far to at least try and haggle with him, and boy she knew how much these owners liked to haggle.
"Fine! Ye can 'ave 'im for that amount. Ye are a good 'aggler, girlie. I pity anyone who ye go against next! I almost let ye 'aggle the price down a full Mark!"
Flashing the man a dark grin, Saraina put the pup down before kneeling next to him. Paying the man her money, the girl ran an hand through the pup's fur. Looking up as the Stall owner returned, the Dragonrider arched an eyebrow as she accepted the preferred collar and leash, her unasked question was quickly answered.
"Take it! I like ye Girlie, and ye have the same accent as I. I can't 'elp but 'elp out a kinsman from the Southern Region, I be comin' from a small Cothold, but I betcha come from the 'old itself."
Starting to protest that she couldn't accept the gift, the young woman was silenced by a jolly shake of the head and a wave of a hand.
"Ye take care of tha' pup now ye hear. Maybe I'll run inta ye one day, and ye can help me then. Now go an' enjoy the rest of yer time at the Gatha."
Frustrated that the man wouldn't let her pay for the leash and collar, Saraina sighed before looking down at the quiet pup, who was staring right back at her with it's bright blue eyes. "'Ow did I end up getting ya? I didn't even want a Canine in the beginin'." Shaking her head, the Bluerider buckled the collar around the pup after attaching it's leash to it, standing up a few scant moments later. "Well then. What shall I name ya? Icy? No, no... Soleil?" Grinning as the pup wagged his tail for the first time, whether or not it was because he was sniffing a leaf or not was to be determined, Saraina gave him a roll of her eyes. "How funny. That means sun in an ol' language, an' yet ya look more Moonish than anything. It fits though... much better than Lune I suppose. Alright... Lets go, all of ya." Tugging on the leash to make the pup follow, the Bluerider gave the Stall owner a wave before leaving, Soleil trotting after her interested in everything that was around him.
