If C'loy thought he had no free time as a candidate, he was in for a nasty shock after impressing. Chores and lessons seemed to fill up his day, and when they didn't have a task to do, C'loy was usually to tired to do anything else than nap outside next to Kallandrith. The bronze weyrling was growing quickly, and therefore needed to be oiled constantly, taking up even more of the young rider's time. Along with that, C'loy found himself constantly carving up meat for his dragon to snap up whenever he became hungry and keeping Casiloy away from Kallandrith's teeth because the bronze seemed to think that eating the salamandyr was the only way to get the thing to shut up.
However, since impression, C'loy had been dying to go find Feyrianth and Erilena and introduce them to his bronze. He hadn't seen eaither of them in month's and missed them teribbly. When the earthquake struck Selenitas he had been worried sick about the pair, hopeing desperartly that they hadn't been hurt. He had heard from a drudge that they were in fact ok, but he had been desperate to see them to confirm what he had been told. But with the weyr's upeaval and merging with Burimyu, C'loy had never gotten a chance. So needless to say, when he he had time to spare, he had decided to spend it looking for Feyrianth and her rider.
“Come one,” C'loy murmered, moving stealthilly amoung the green, trying to keep hidden. Technically they weren't supposed to be doing this, cutting lessons, but this was perfectly legitimate. Kinda. Kallandrith watched his human with amusement, and trailed behind, far to lazy to try to disguise his bronze bulk. Where are we going C'loy, you've yet to tell me. “Have I really?” C'loy asked confused. “I thought I... we'll nevermind, we are going to go see Erilena and Feyrianth.” The green? “See,” C'loy said, “I have told you this!” But you never told me what were doing explicastly. For all I know you might be taking me to oil my hide. I do have an itch on my neck that must be attended soon, just so you know. Now come.
C'loy found himself switching positions following behind the bronze, their roles switched. It was odd, C'loy had noticed, that he didn't seem to be the dominant one in the relationship. True dragon's and their riders were supposed to work together, to be equal, but Kallandrith just didn't seem to need his rider the way the others in his clutch did. Not that he didn't love C'loy, the bronze had been very reasuring on that matter, but still he was oddly independent. And manipulative, C'loy always ended up doing what Kallandrith wanted him to do. Something to reflect on, perhaps their relationship wouldn't be typical of a dragon and rider, but nothing seemed to be wrong with the bronze so that was that. “Do you know where we are going?” No, replied Kallandrith, but didn't stop to allow C'loy to overtake him. The young rider rolled his eyes, it didn't really matter who led, hopefully they would run across the beloved Feyrianth and Erilena eventually.

Ugh. She randomly felt so huge now. Though to be honest? She kind of was. For being six months pregnant Erilena was rather large. In fact S’rei had been kind enough to tell her that she looked more near eight. So nice of him. Though she knew her father in law, (and yes it was still a little weird to think of him that way), hadn’t meant anything by it. In fact he had been consistently extremely kind to her. The fact of the matter remained that the greenrider was very uncomfortable at times lately. On top of that sitting around in her weyr so much was driving her crazy. Thus when she had woken up this afternoon she had decided to go for a short walk. For some reason walking always made her feel a tad better. Normally it was just a short walk around the weyrbowl but this time Erilena decided to go outside the weyr for a bit of air. She was starting to feel just a bit cooped up. Some fresh air would do her good.
With Dmitri out and about and doing some things in regard to the night sentinel she figured she had some time before he came back and worried. Though to stop any complete freak outs she decided to take Feyrianth with her. The area right outside the weyr entrance should be safe enough from predators and the like, but it never hurt to be safe and her dragon wasn’t all that keen on letting her out of her sight at all lately. No Feyrianth was displaying a level of possessiveness that she never had before. It was both comforting and a little annoying. The green was currently prancing around ahead of her as Erilena stretched her arms out towards the sun and blinked at it’s brightness. Being a moonlighter for these past turns made the sun feel a tad uncomfortable but nighttime walking around the area was currently like a death sentence with now many predators they had around. So she had to make due with the sun.
The woman dropped her arms and smiled as she watched Feyrianth cavort around the area, her wings flaring and closing as she pranced and bounced around. Suddenly the green caught sight of a bright blue butterfly and she crooned happily as she bounded over to watch it. For a few moments the dragon followed it in a playful stalk before she stopped to watch it feed from a nearby flowering bush, her rump wiggling in the air. Oh look Lenamine! It is such a pretty flutterbye. Erilena laughed from her position a few feet behind her dragon. “I could see it better if your rump wasn’t in the way love.” Giving an apologetic cheep the green shuffled to the side so that her bonded could see the insect.
The next moment a snap of a twig sounded and Feyrianth growled low in her chest, head swiveling towards the sound as she placed herself between the noise and her bonded. Flaring her wings out to hide her bonded from sight, the dragon spoke. I heard something. You stay there. Frowning slightly the greenrider simply moved closer to her green. Just in case. Nostrils flaring Feyrianth stood alert as she waited for whatever it was to leave the undergrowth.

Kallandrith had indeed been the one who had caused the noise, though it had not been an accident. C'loy had become entraptured with a futterbye that had caught his eye, perhaps the same one who had amused Feyrianth. However, when he made a sudden movement, the insect had taken flight and flown away. "Why did it leave, I wasn't trying to hurt it,” the dejected boy said in complete distress as he crained his neck to watch the path of the escaping animal, the purpose of the excurssion forgotten. Snap out of it boy, Kallandrith commanded, punctuating his statement by bringing down his forleg on a sappling that was spralled across the forest floor. C'loy blinked in surprise, but the noise seemed to bring him to his senses.
Rather annoyed, C'loy nudged Kallandrith, urging him to move forward. The bronze nudged him back with his head, a silent apology. These silent communications had become a common place in the days and weeks after their impression, and it seemed to suite the pair better than vocalizing did. The blonde grinned in forgiveness, scratching the eyeridge nearest to him in gratitude. Kallandrith hummed accordingly before C'loy started off in the direction the flutterbye had flown, the bronze trailing behind.
The bronze was the first to see the bulk of the green Feyrianth. Is that the one whom you talk about? C'loy turned quickly to look in the direction that Kallandrith was indicating, and let out a whoop of excitement-he would recognize that particular green hide anywhere. “It is!” And with that, the boy took off, crashing through the woods. He probably would have reached Feyrianth first, if Kallandrith hadn't looped his restraining tail around his torso to hault C'loy's progress. We will arrive together, as how it should be. C'loy rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement. The bronze relinquished his grip, and padded next to C'loy at a much more reasonable pace.
Nevertheless, Kallandrith had somehow managed to reach the clearing just slightly before his rider, and immediately came to a hault, quickly processing the defensive stance the green dragon had taken up. He lowered his half extended wings and ducked his head in greeting. Greeting Feyrianth. Mine has sung praises about you; I am glad to finally make your aquaintance. I am Kallan- the bronze was cut off as C'loy made his apperance, immediately running full speed towards his favorite green and wrapping his arms as far as they would go around Feyrianth's forearm, yelling “FEYRIANTH!” at the top of his lungs. In his excitement, he was unable to stop the stem of questions and statement that took the opportunity to spew from his mouth. “How are you? I missed you so much! Where's Erilena? You were right, I did impress, this is Kallandrith- Oh I've missed you!” Kallandrith watched, observing everything.

When she heard the whoop Feyrianth’s eyes fixed with more interest on the area in the undergrowth where she imagined the whatever it was would emerge from. Her head slightly tilted as she waited, Erilena resting a hand on one of the green’s hind legs. Did that sound human to you or is it just me? No…it sounded human. I think. The green replied as she shifted slightly. She did not lower her wings just yet though. You could never be too careful around here and animals could make some rather odd noises at times. As the brush began to rustle Feyrianth tensed every muscle alert and ready as a bronze hatchling?, strode sedately out of the trees. With a snort of surprise the green stood her ground eyeing the small dragon anxiously. Small or not it was a bronze and the female tended to be rather nervous around the metallic males. Had he been larger she might have taken a hesitant step back but as it was she had a rider to protect. An egg heavy rider at that.
When he greeted her Feyrianth’s eyes whirled faster. His knew her? Talked about her? Before she could ask who his rider was or greet him in return something small and human burst through the foliage and sprinted in her direction. Ah! This one she remembered. A loud and welcoming croon left her throat as the boy flung his arms around her foreleg. Cassy! The green exclaimed with no small amount of excitement dipping her head to nuzzle gently at the clinging blonde boy. For the moment she completely forgot Kallandrith in her excitement. C'loy's explosion of questions and statements was dwarfed only by her own rapid-fire responses. Excited Fey was excited. I am good! I have missed you so much too my friend. She is here with me. I saw you impress! I knew you would. Nuzzling him affectionately her four wings closed and she tucked them back against her spine. It is okay Lenamine. It is just our friend Cassy.
Erilena moved from Feyrianth’s side to greet Casiloy or whatever his name was now. It would have been shortened. But to what she wasn’t sure. Laughing she grinned at him. “You sound almost as excited as she is. Congratulations by the way.” Glancing over at Kallandrith she waved at the, for now, small bronze. He was a hatchling still after all. “What’s his name? I’m afraid I wasn’t there myself so I don’t know.” It should be rather obvious now that he could see her why. The hatching grounds would be far too crowded and hot for her in this stage of her pregnancy. “It’s good to see you. Things have been so insane that I haven’t had a chance to see you. I heard you were okay after the earthquake though.” That and she had caught a glimpse of him here and there. Not all that often though. Hazard of having a wherhander for a husband and switching to being nocturnal.
During this exchange Feyrianth seemed to suddenly remember Kallandrith and she gave an embarrassed chirp before dipping her head to the bronze shyly. It is nice to meet you too? I am afraid I did not catch your whole name?

C'loy basked in Feyrianth's voice, it had been ages since they had last communicated with each other, and rubbed her head with both hands, reaching for her eyeridge, smiling all the while. He retained his joyous expression as he turned sharply to look in the space that was now visible to him now that the green had folded her wide wings, his eyes widening as he caught sight of Erilena. To put it politely she was large, but how on pern did she get to bet that way!?
"Erilena," he greeted warmly, meeting her smile. He tried to keep his eyes on her face, but they kept finding their way back down to her stomach. "Thank you," he said, turning to face Kallandrith. The bronze dipped his neck respectfully towards the rider. I am Kallandrith, he said in way of answering the posed question The dragon padded up closer to C'loy, and resumed his sitting position in front of Feyrianth. C'loy saw none of this, as he was still staring, now blatantly, at Erilena's stomach.
The newly impressed blonde nodded his head as Erilena explained how she knew he was safe. "I knew you both were safe too," C'loy said, patting Feyrianth reasuringly. He had spent a few frenzied hours inquiring after getting out of the collapsed weyr, but once he had found out they were unharmed, he was able to rest without uneasiness. C'loy shifted his weight from foot, but Kallandroth brushed him lightly with his tail to calm him. The boy could restrain himself no longer. C'loy wasn't going to comment on the change in size of the greenrider's stomach, at first assuming it could be attributed to an indulgence in meat rolls, but now he was not so sure. There was no way, meatrolls could have done that much to her physique. There was only one explanation. "How did you swallow a whole melon," he finally asked wide eyed and in awe.
I apologize for my rider's rudeness, Kallandrith said to Feyrianth, cocking his head. He does not realize what he is asking could be contrued as rude. My name is Kallandroth, the bronze said again. I thought C'loy was exaggerating as he so often does, but you really are as beautiful as he describes. How far along is your rider, he asked, abruptly changing topic. The abruptness was off putting, but that's how the bronze was. He would flatter a female and then draw attention away from the compliment, leaving the other dragon flustered and confused. The bronze weyrling opened his wings slightly, as if to stretch, before settling down again into a comfortable position.

Erilena was quite used to the stares by now. Very much pregnant it wasn’t like she could hide it. Plus she probably looked rather awkward, which only added to the stares. At first it had bothered her a little but not for long. She was pregnant and looked positively radiant. People could deal with it. It wasn’t something she needed to be ashamed about after all. So as it was C’loy’s staring didn’t bother her so much as amuse her. Especially when he couldn’t seem to help looking at her belly. The greenrider smiled brighter at the warm greeting. “You’re welcome.” She responded before a draconic voice very not her Fey sounded in her mind. Surprised Erilena turned towards the small bronze her eyes just a touch wide in surprise. Recovering herself quickly she gave a little bow to the bronze. Well as well as she could bow at six months pregnant. “It is a pleasure to meet you Kallandrith.” Despite being a rider herself she hadn’t had many dragons speak to her besides Feyrianth. Behruth. The odd patient here and there. Rhiiseth. And well that was about it. Never surely a bronze. They seemed to, oftentimes, be more put off by speaking to others. Or so she had heard. So that the little one had spoken to her at all was perhaps a bit of an honor in a way.
Erilena’s eyes were still examining the bronze dragonet when C’loy spoke again and she turned to him to nod. “That’s good. I’m glad you didn’t have to worry too long. We all lost so many. But still there are things to be thankful for. People we did not lose. Those people mean more to me then ever now.” Placing her hand on her belly she smiled. It was about then that the rider noticed the boy’s shifting. Giving him a curious look she was just going to ask what was wrong when he blurted out a question. The wide eyed look of awe had Erilena laughing. Placing a hand on Feyrianth’s side as the laughter continued she tried to speak and found herself unable to for a moment. Finally the spell passed and she took in a deep breath before speaking her voice still sounding slightly breathless. “You silly! I did not swallow a melon. I’m pregnant. Twins actually. Due about three months from now.” Smiling brightly at him she waited to see what his reaction to that would be.
Feyrianth had positively almost purred under C’loy’s attention. Her whirling eyes half lidded as she crooned softly to him, her muzzle gently bumping him to encourage him to keep up the attention. When he touched her eye ridge she leaned into the contact and her lids fell completely shut in contentment. Yes she still quite adored her Cassy. He was part of her horde after all. When the bronzeweyrling’s attention went to her rider the green gave her human friend one last gentle nudge and turned her head slightly to croon lovingly to her own rider. While the riders exchanged their greetings her attention fell back to the little bronze sitting in front of her, the question as to his name having been voiced in a rather shy tone.
A small nervous croon was offered to Kallandrith as he finally spoke to her. Oh that is quite alright. Erilenamine is not offended. She found his question funny it seems. Though the green had to admit she could also see why one might be offended by it. Eyes whirling in nervous yet happy shades she dipped her head again. You have a lovely name. The words were sincere enough even if Feyrianth did take a half step back as the bronze continued to speak. Beautiful? Her? He thought she was beautiful? Embarrassed pinks started to whirl through her gaze mixing with the blue, green, and yellow already present. How was she supposed to react to that? He was…shiny and very male and…but there a question. Something she could answer and respond to. The female leapt upon the question and started to answer.
She is six months along according to her. And there was still a long time to go too. Humans took far too long to clutch in Feyrianth’s opinion. She wanted to see these littles now. When Kallandrith stretched his wings and then settled back down the green watched him her tail curling about her haunches. Now what? Feyrianth was normally quite a cuddly and talkative dragon. But bronzes made her nervous and some of the larger ones just quite frankly frightened her. Little or not this one was clearly a bronze. Questions were perhaps good? Do you like your teachers?
