A light drizzle had begun a while ago, causing all the flora in the jungle to glisten. Situated on a branch in a tree with his eyes lightly closed, J'ash was in a relaxed state of vegetation. He and Craivaruth had come here to escape the Weyr. Not much was going on, not since the Gather. That had been fun, but he hadn't had much to spend to begin with, and he hadn't really known anyone except L'nu, then. Truth be told, he still only knew L'nu.
Craivaruth lay flat on his belly on the mossy floor, long wings spread as much as possible to catch the light rain. Craivaruth's matte hide cracked easier than other dragons', but wet weather tended to help soothe it. It meant less work for J'ash, at least.
A light, misty film covered J'ash's exposed skin; he'd rolled up his pant legs to act like shorts. His shirt was rather carelessly draped over a nearby branch. His metallic tag necklace hung loosely around his neck, the tag resting on his torso, somewhat cool with moisture.
Although spring would come soon, summer was not over yet, and the jungle's humidity could make J'ash think he was in a sauna if his eyes were closed. Which they were, but that was besides the point.
Stretching in the process of standing, a low croon resounded from the Blue. I want to fly.[/i] He shook, tiny water droplets flying off in all directions, before he sat again. He pumped his wings with pent-up energy. J'ash grunted, almost half-asleep. Then fly, you. I don't want to fly by myself. [/i]
J'ash cracked open a tired eye to look at His. This was the first time Craivaruth was actually requesting some kind of company. Smirking, J'ash closed his eye once more. "Well, maybe next time you should be nicer to your clutchsiblings. They might want to hang around you more often. They might even want to fly with you."
Craivaruth huffed, as if to say, "yeah right, be nice," and flopped to the ground again in frustration.

It was faint at first, the sound possibly mistaken for the calling of some animal for the jungle. However it was no animal that made the sound. In a flurry of wings Feyrianth buzzed the tree J’ash was sitting in. Erilena bent low over the green’s neck as they rushed through the light rain. Pulling up suddenly Feyrianth twirled slowly before actually completely flipping and rushing towards the ground in a complete free fall. She made no attempt to check her speed or fall until it looked as if the green was well past the danger zone and would crash onto the ground below. Suddenly her four wings shot out, back aching as she back winged once and completely stalled her decent. Hovering for a moment a few feet from the ground she crooned loudly as her bonded laughed, flinging her soaked hair back out of her face. “Fey that was great. Lets go again!” The green gave a happy croon then and brushed hers. Oh dear seems we have company Lenalove. Look it is my Craivaruth brother.
Erilena blinked as Feyrianth’s legs touched the ground, the green contentedly rumbling as she approached her sibling. Leaning over along Feyrianth’s neck the weyrling examined the immediate area for J’ash. Huh. Was he not here? The green lowered her head and gave another rumble. Good afternoon brothermine. You look terribly bored would you like to play with me? Erilena gave a small giggle at that and stroked down her green’s rain dampened hide. “Now, now darling not everyone wants to play all the time.” She said with a tad bit of scolding in the tone as her eyes traveled upwards and snagged on J’ash’s form.
Oh there he was. The weyrling raised her hand and gave a short wave in greeting. Suddenly she was very self conscious about her wet clothes. Wet clothes weren’t really the best things to be meeting people in. Even if he was a classmate of hers and she had seen him at lessons, she had never really spoken to him. It made her feel awkward. Probably wouldn’t have been so awkward had she been dry.Erilena hadn’t been expecting to meet anyone out here. Just out for a bit of a thrill with Feyrianth.
The green didn’t see herself as a good flier. So most of their little stunts where pulled in private where the green wasn’t as self conscious about things. Still Feyrianth was beautiful in flight. Even if she didn’t see it herself Erilena did. It wasn’t the in your face beauty that some greens possessed with their quickness and sudden loops. It was softer. Light, playful. Like her green. Her style of flight fit Feyrianth perfectly. Where the self consciousness came from Erilena wasn’t sure. Probably a bit of a mirror effect really. Erilena only liked to dance for one person after all.
For a few moments the girl fidgeted in her place on Feyrianth’s’ back. Eyes going up to snag on J’ash again. So awkward. The green in turn huffed, whirling eyes passing over her brothers form again. I am sure we can up with a game to suit you my brother. I would like to play with you. She reached out and gave a brief shy nuzzle to his jaw. Very much so. Feyrianth liked her siblings she did. With the acceptation of Mavenath. Mavenath was just scary.

Icy eyes flew open when a large form crashed through the thick canopy around him. He half sat up, bending slightly to look at the Green below. Four wings - ah, he remembered her... Feyrianth. And her rider, Erilena, whom he had never spoken to - though he did recognize her.
Although J'ash was an easy-going, friendly guy, Craivaruth's suddenly sky-rocketed discomfort level was influencing him. The girl appeared to be looking for him. He was fairly certain she didn't know much of him, either, so at least they were on the same page. (It would have been creepy otherwise.) Erilena waved at him, and J'ash grinned, waving back. She looked down at her clothes, her body language seeming to suggest that she was suddenly uncomfortable. She was completely soaked, so of course she was going to be embarrassed. Not that he minded. The little piece of common sense in his brain poked him and made him promise not to make any dirty jokes or comments.
A slap of realization hit him as he remembered his shirt - hanging over there, on the branch. Though he was quite hot - and he had no shame in admitting it - he didn't want to make her more uncomfortable. J'ash bent forward, keeping his balance on the branch, and picked up his shirt. He felt it for a moment, realizing that trying to put on a soaking shirt would be sharding hard. It resumed its place, draped over the branch. Erilena would just have to put up with a shirtless guy her age. He was sure she could handle it. J'ash tried to block the antisocial vibes coming from his dragon as he grinned his trademark grin at his fellow classmate. "Fancy meeting you here!"
Craivaruth's body language became jagged with discomfort, like a cat about to be bathed. Miraculously, they had been located. Perhaps Faranth had heard his call for company... He kind of felt annoyed at having to put up with another dragon, but he also felt somewhat - Faranth forbid - happy to have her there. And J'ash would have someone new to converse with. He felt bad; J'ash only had one other human friend because of the isolation Craivaruth preferred. At least this would somewhat make up for it. This would take some getting used to, however, because the only green he had really ever conversed with was his arch-nemesis, Nemmalorith.
Good afternoon, clutchsistermine,[/i] a brief pause and contemplation, a game? I don't play petty games.
Craivaruth stiffened when Feyrianth brushed his jaw with hers. Eyes an intense amber colour to show his guarded persona and semi-hidden curiosity, Craivaruth simply accepted the gesture. He didn't really know how to react, after all.
J'ash let himself roll off the edge of the branch, safely landing with both feet on the ground. "Craivaruth, don't be such a loser. Go play. You were just saying you were bored and needed someone to fly with." J'ash flicked his head to the side, wet hair sticking to the sides of his face and forehead. Not able to see through his blond locks, he remolded most of his bangs to lie across his forehead. There - at least he could see, no matter how stupid he looked. Though he was sure he still looked good.
A low, slow growl rumbled from Craivaruth's throat. It wasn't meant to be aggressive or scary, though it may have seemed like that. What do you have in mind.

Erilena looked up at J’ash as he moved to fetch his shirt and then immediately returned it to the branch. Probably thought it was to wet to make much of a difference anyway. Shirtless guy. She could handle. Had been around enough around of them by now. Still the weyrling was grateful that he had at least made an attempt to put her at ease. Nice of him really. Shifting upon Feyrianth’s back her response to her classmate was a slight smile. Yes fancy meeting him here. What was with people hanging out in the jungle lately? Probably trying to escape the heat. So much for her private stunts with Fey. Couldn’t tear the green away now. She wanted to play and the desire was now bleeding over into Erilena. Couldn’t blame the green she had been a bit lacking in playmates lately. Strange really Feyrianth normally had tons of willing playmates. Reaching down the weyrling stroked along her dragon’s vibrant hide as she crooned softly, the tone a bit sad.
Shuffling her wings at Craivaruth’s comment the four winged dragon visibly deflated. Oh. I was not aware that you saw games as petty my brother. That is sad. Playing is such fun. You should try it. You might like it? The tone at the end of her speech was hopeful and Feyrianth again extended her neck and gave her brother a brief nuzzle. Nuzzles where good to. Her brother needed to loosen up! The green shuffled backwards a few steps and J’ash leapt down form the tree. His words however made her croon and she pranced briefly in a display of happiness.
See yours knows. Play can be fun. You should try it with me. If you do not like it we can stop. The dragon gave a brief head bob and Erilena by this point was trying hard to keep a straight face. Feyrianth could be very silly when she wanted to be. The weyrling smiled at J’ash and straightened up, adjusting her riding straps and making sure everything was in proper order. She gave sidewise glance at her classmate knowing full well what Feyrianth was up to and wondering if he would accept the challenge.
Feyrianth crooned as he felt her bonded’s amusement to her plans. Hers obviously approved. Good they would show her silly brother how to play then. The four winged green turned around, her tail flicking out the tip brushing just underneath her brothers jaw in a move that might seem flirtatious to anyone else but to Feyrianth it was a playful bait. The name of the game is tag my dear brother. Hopping forward she leapt into the air and gave a playful croon. Ask your bonded if you are unsure as to the rules. Everyone knew how to play tag after all. Catch me if you can. She sang in a sing song tone as her bonded laughed from upon her back. They flew upwards leveling out and hovering briefly to await their ‘playmates’.

Tag,[/i] repeated Craivaruth blankly as he watched the green and her rider launch into the air, hovering, waiting for them. The blue-green was immune to Feyrianth's flirtatiousness, but J'ash, being an expert in flirtation himself, caught it and grinned. It's almost like a Flight, but there's no mating involved, and it's just for fun. If you're "it", you have to catch the other and tag them! J'ash took a running leap at the Blue and scaled his side in a hurry. He quickly strapped himself into the restraints - the rain would make it extra dangerous to ride without them. The silvery-eyed man's excitement was starting to rub off on Craivaruth, who was confused by the feeling.
I don't Chase.[/i] Craivaruth twisted his head to look at J'ash as if to make a point, but the growing playfulness was clear within the dragon's eyes. You're chasing, not Chasing. Let's go! But Craivaruth didn't need any more prompting from his rider. With a powerful thrust off the ground, they were in the air, Craivaruth's long wings brushing against branches and trunks as they pumped up and down. Feyrianth and her rider were observed with mischievous yellowy green eyes.
It was ON.
"You're it!" cried J'ash with his and his dragon's combined determination, and Craivaruth shot them up, up, and up, through the canopy. The thin branches sliced at the duo like weak whips, the wet leaves running over them to soothe what the wood had done, a few plastering to their sides completely.
They broke free from the green clouds below and proceeded up towards the clouds that were a weak mimicry of J'ash's iris colour. The dark, heavy clouds above were sluicing water now, the intense downpour making the game all the more dangerous - and thrilling.
"Yeaaah!" J'ash cried, laughing, eyes watering with the sharp wind that came with the quick acceleration Craivaruth was providing, his blond hair whipping back. His hair was instantly drenched, the rain running in thick rivulets down his chest and back, large drops of water dripping from the tip of his nose and chin. His now thoroughly soaked pants clung to him. The jungle was a vague green mass far below now, and J'ash looked over his shoulder, grinning like a maniac, looking for Feyrianth and Erilena. J'ash loved times like this; taking risks in dangerous conditions, the excitement and fun, and the company of people (and dragons) he liked.
That's what made life grand.

Feyrianth’s four wings beat a steady beat as she hovered seemingly effortlessly, her eyes whirling in amused shades as she watched the males beneath her. Slow aren’t they? She asked hers with just a trace amount of impatience. Erilena smiled and gave a stroke to the rain soaked hide beneath her. They are men Feyrianth. Slow at everything. Was the amused return and the green rumbled in acknowledgement at her bonded’s words. Then however the blue pair had finally gotten into the air. No more time for playful mental teasing at the expense of their new playmates.
The green’s tail flicked in a gesture of excitement as she watched be brother whip through the canopy. Fast he was. The metal tug of hers was abruptly acted on and the green shot upwards, all four wings working hard. The ascension towards the clouds has quick. Much quicker because of the double pairs of muscles working at it. It was up to hers to keep and eye on her brother for now. Feyrianth was far to concerned about trying to keep on course. The wind was proving difficult for one with so much wing sail. She kept having to adjust rapidly to avoid getting snared by crosswinds.
Unfortunately Erilena lost track of her classmates quickly because the clouds above took that moment to open up in a downpour. Wonderful. If she hadn’t been soaked before she definitely was now. Trying to shake water out of her hair was pointless so the woman settled for keeping a death grip on her riding straps, The rain made things dangerous. Feyrianth suddenly whipped around and stalled in another hover, her transparent lids flicking over her whirling eyes to protect them. Sorry Fey. I lost them. Can’t see. The greenrider said, her hands loosening their grip on the straps as she squinted to try and make out figures in the downpour.
Her green brushed her bonded’s mind in amusement. They are below us. I do not think they have seen us yet. The dragon was pleased by this. Her smugness transferring to Erilena who grinned broadly and tapped her bare feet against her green. Ready? Feyrianth gave the mental nod and dropped directly towards the pair from straight above. At the last moment Feyrianth stalled to a hover beside them and purposely flicked her tail to tap lightly against Craivaruth’s flank.
You are still it my brother. You will have to try harder than that to tag me. ~ She sang with blue whirling eyes before flipping backwards and streaking towards the ground. Her wings shifted and she pulled up and into a slow steady glide above the tree line. Swaying back and forth in a lazy fashion to purposely allow the blue pair to catch up. Erilena was highly amused at Feyrianth. The green was in a very good mood when she played.
