The bottom line was that C'ryl finally had realized his plan of action had fallen short of his needs. In retrospect is was probably for the better that he hadn't taken the time to pack some things before he had left Fort and that his weyr back on the northern continent had been a mess when he'd jumped ship. Someone who was presumed dead would not take things with them. Even if they did find out that he had simply left he was certain they wouldn't comb the woods to make sure of any suspicions. But that was little comfort now. Now he was sitting alone on a bench at a Gather with a sign next to him that announced he was willing to work.
Humiliating. Simply humiliating, he felt no better than a kitchen drudge. But he needed clothes and without marks (those left behind he had no doubt were still in his pillow, unfound) he couldn't get said clothes. At least no one has done anything to harm you. Pagoth said. C'ryl had no idea where he was which was odd since he really only felt comfortable around the brown. Oh shut-up you, I'm kind of wishing no one sees. A short tempered C'ryl was an odd creature to see. I noticed. The brown replied with amusement lacing his voice.
C'ryl huffed and leaned forward on the bench with a piece of bread someone had left behind. He moved it from hand to hand before tossing it over to watch birds peck at it. Maybe he could find a beastcrafter and see if he could offer a hand. Cleaning after the beasts perhaps? Anything right now that paid him sounded delightful to do.
