The first Lesson was over, Piden had impressed Red, and had finally adjusted to a more sensible sleep schedule; and still, Pidesk had been unsuccessful in getting his Handler to take him to visit Cerysk. Pidesk asked every time he could, with images of both Cerysk and Ceryl, attempting to lure his Handler into a visit. She was pretty, yes? Pidesk already knew that His liked pretty things. Cerysk, too, was pretty, although Piden seemed to perfer spending time with human girls to Wher girls. In fact, Piden spent most of his time with human companions or sleeping (sometimes with a human companion), although his recent impression of Red seemed to have lessened that a little. Pidesk liked the Green- she was his friend, although she screeched and spit out different colored liquids every time she saw him. That made Piden mad, but Pidesk thought it was funny. She had been doing it less lately though, which made Piden happier, and Pidesk was still happy. They had a good life.
All Pidesk needed now was Cerysk. He hadn't seen her since Lesson, and he hadn't had much time with her there either. He had helped her into this life- he wanted to make sure she was ok, and that her Ceryl was up to scratch. And... well, Pidesk wanted a friend. He didn't like this semi-isolation. Piden was more interested in Piden than Pidesk- Pidesk forgave him, of course, but still. Spending time with someone other than Red would be nice.
Today, Pidesk had his ambush planned. He would ask when Piden got up, then make sure to pepper his thoughts with images of the Green pair all night, and maybe they could go visit sometime before dawn. To the Bronze's surprise, though, his initial request was met with, "Sure, why not?" Well, there went his plan, but no matter- he got to see Cerysk!
Piden got dressed, sprucing up slightly more than normal. He knew Ceryl a little, and had been meaning to go see her too- he just wasn't sure exactly what to say. 'Hi, my Wher hatched your Wher, lets hang out'? Not likely. So he'd been putting it off, trying to figure out something better. Nothing was coming, though, and today he wasn't busy. Not to mention that he was starting to feel rude.
It was easy enough to find Ceryl's apartment- Pidesk had seen them leaving once, and nearly pounced on Cerysk before Piden had stopped him. Shoving his reddish brown hair out of his eyes, Piden detached Red from where she was shivering on the top of his head, and tucked her up one sleeve. It was better for her to meet people on her own terms, not be surprised by them... and there was no way she would ever let go of him. Ever. Even when he slept. Straightening up a little, Piden knocked on the door, feeling all composed- but as soon as he had knocked, Pidesk headbutted his legs in excitement, and Piden sprawled on the floor, tangled with his Wher, Red screeching something incomprehensible at them both.
