J’on snorted with laughter. ‘I don’t need to give Rinagth any ideas, she comes up with bucketloads all by herself.’ J’on rolled his eyes and nodded towards his dragon. ‘I’ll admit Kaaoloth seems to be fairly good at coming up with ideas of his own. Is it dangerous to leave them together do you think?’ The greenrider was really rather amused at the way Kaaoloth was encouraging Rinagth’s behaviour, it looked like his green was being claimed.
A smirk flashed across J’on’s face as he caught the implications of that sentence. ‘Well, I can’t say I’d be disappointed if we ended up spending more time together.’ He agreed in a neutral tone, giving the brownrider a sideways look. Nope, no objections there, as long as neither half of the brownpair expected their green counterpart to be remotely faithful, Both Rinagth and her rider believed in spreading their affections around.
‘Maybe if they in a river full of weeds we could call the pair of them a shower system and charge people for the pleasure of being half drowned.’ The greenrider suggested with a short laugh, he doubted many people would go for that, even if they didn’t get covered in strange river plants. ‘Yep, that is their fault. But I’ll definitely forget you said that anyway.’ J’on replied, poking his tongue out in a highly immature fashion. ‘They’d probably just take the chance to half drown us again.’
Rinagth made a sound of approval and shifted slightly so she could get Sel’n to scrub a better bit of hide. You certainly have your rider well trained Kaaoloth. I might steal him. The green commented. He much better than my useless rider, who isn’t even washing me. Rinagth looked pointedly at her rider as she said that.
‘Ah my mistress rebukes me. How will I bear the pain?’ J’on shot his irate dragon a grin and picked up a handful of sand. ‘You see what you’re getting into Kaaoloth? She’ll be bossing you around any moment.’ J’on teased the dragons lightly as he reached up to scrub at Rinagth’s shoulder, while the green tried to arch into his scrubbing as well. ‘And Rina, this is a quick scrub for you, you horror, wrangling two baths in one day. Don’t go roll in the mud when we’re finished.
As if I would!
Wraith zipped along branches, springing from one to another as fast as she could. How far could one Yu get? Quite far it seemed maybe that water was stronger than she thought…
Hear? The green looked around listening intently. There! Hear! Wraith scrabbled through the trees, bounded up a few branches and looked up at the yowling cat. Stuck again, silly beast. Yes. Mine mine get. I get. the dark green darted off back the way she’d come.
