Farryl's eyes blinked open and she sighed in contentment. This had all been much easier than the first time. She might have even enjoyed herself. Not as much as if she'd been in control, but it wasn't like it was all bad. Maybe it was just Peppeth's overly happy feelings sneaking in, but Farryl was feeling pretty good this morning. Rolling over, she glanced at the man in the furs with her. She didn't know him that well and her mind was still too fuzzy to recall the name.
Good morning, Peppeth purred in her mind and her males. She snuggled closer to Pettahth, looking like a kitten next to a grown, tom cat. He was so big and comfortable. He made such a lovely pillow. Will you sing again for me? she asked sweetly. I do so love to hear you sing.
Farryl rolled her eyes. Peppeth would be talking about this one for weeks, she could already tell. At least Isshun was safely still asleep. A quick mental question to Hobbs told her as much. Farryl stretched and gave the lump beside her a nudge. "Morning, sleepy head," she coaxed.

Ugh. His dragon warned him first, Mine, mine. Singing. She wants me to sing to her...[/i] The brownrider shifted a bit in his blankets a bit, vaguely aware of another, but of course not perking up with any sort of alarm. Patience, it was something that the young man was strangely filled with and he like any good rider, attended to dragon first and foremost, Who? Peppeth....I'm not sure on the practicality of singing in the... Sing if you know what is good for you... It was an easy answer for K'sel to come to, with the situation attended to, and the less than subtle hints from the woman next to him, he turned to look at her, eyelids still heavy with sleep.
It was the only comment he could think of...something so classically cheeky, but considering the delicacy of the situation he was careful to not venture into sarcasm. Playfulness certainly remained however as he cracked a smile and opened up with his bedtime voice all scratchy and gruff and surprisingly to him a little hard to come by, a sore throat was sullying an otherwise good morning, "Well hello there beautiful." He assumed that she would be charmed, after all the woman had the courtesy of waking him up gently, and he would return the favor with some good humor. To be anything else would make things harder, and not to mention make him look like even bigger of a jerk than he was made out to be. Neither of them asked for this, their dragons did, and he was weyrbred enough to know this fact well.
He didn't know Farryl, outside of the fact that they were on the same wing, but even then they were on separate little squads within that and her name was escaping him much to his dismay. So creepy it felt to have to dodge around the use of their names just to save a little face, and he subtly asked for a bit of help with his memory, "Are you doing alright Ffff..." He thought it started with an F. It better anyway, because that was what he was rolling with.
Pettahth crooned to the green as she saddled up closer to him, pleased with how well their bodies fit together despite Peppeth's miniscule size. Filling her request wasn't hard to do he found, not with K'sel insisting that he comply, and his own desire to entertain the green lady. Infatuated quickly the brown seemed to be, though this rider was remorsefully wondering how long the flights of fancy would last. The brown had never struck K'sel as being considerably faithful in terms of his love, Oh I will sing for you my Peppethlove, and they will all be the best songs on Pern... And sing he did, though much more softly than in flight with what seemed to be a gentle lullabye hum. Thoughtful he was of the sleeping two leggers in their little holes in the wall.

Peppeth nuzzled Pettahth necked with her chin. His song made her feel pleasantly peaceful and happy. Such a beautiful song, she crooned blissfully. The morning paled in comparison to the swelling of her heart. It might not be like this every morning, but she fully intended to enjoy this one for as long as it lasted. Even Farryl seemed to be happy this morning. All was right in the world.
Farryl giggled at his response. She wasn't usually prone to giggling, but post Flight emotions had her a little more bubbly than usual. "It's Farryl," she supplied, trying to hide a grin. She really shouldn't be so amused when she couldn't really remember his name either. They even flew on the same wing, for Faranth's sake. "I'm fine," she answered smoothly. "You?" The night really had gone much better this time, now that she was sure of what to expect. Being a greenrider really wasn't all that bad. At least she knew for sure when this would happen when Peppeth flew. Fusing for a moment for her clothes, she frowned thoughtfully. She was sure his named started with K. "K'sal, right?" That sounded close, if not right on.

"I think I'm doing pretty ok...I feel in good spirits even if a little sore..." But he was always physically or emotionally sore over something so it was hardly that much of a big deal.
Alright! So she caught onto the end of that sentence he started and finished up with her name for him. Awesome, and judging by that sneaking smile that she was doing a mostly good job of hiding she probably thought it was kind of funny too. Rightfully so since he was, in his opinion, an occasionally, slightly humorous guy. He was about to carry on with all that light conversation that he could fake his way through so well when his dragon found an excuse to interrupt him again with some of the most asinine questions. For such a smart dragon he sometimes had little sense about the most obvious of things...
Question... Let em at me big guy... The dragon snuggled back against Peppeth almost hesitantly in anticipation of K'sel's answer. He was afraid of getting too comfortable there in his spot next to the green, and if it was his choice he could spend the better part of the day with her, Are we expected anywhere... No. What about drills? What about them? I'm recovering from a work out here...we're golden don't worry about it. He was smiling the whole way through the conversation to distract the woman from that zoned out look that so often indicated conversation with mindmates. When things came rightfully back into focus he just barely caught glimpses of the woman searching for clothes before realizing that maybe he should get dressed too.
Not that he thought it really that necessary, but that was just how formalities went.
He peered down and around the bed for the sight of some pants or maybe even a shirt before spotting a striking pair of polka dotted undergarments that could only belong to him hanging from the corner of a decorative shelf. How in the shards did it even get all the way up there? Ah well, risks clearly had to be taken and modesty was thrown to the way side along with the covers that were hiding him. Boxers were worn inside the pants after all, so it seemed that he had no other choice but to retrieve the rogue garment; even if it meant flouncing around the room in the buff. What should he care? He figured he wasn't a dragonrider for nothing.
Back turned to Farryl as he fished his underpants down, he caught the mispronunciation of his name and corrected it as lightly as he could manage with a, "K'sel...you were close though..." he thought on it for a second, "Unless you think I really suck for some reason or another. In which case yes...I am this K'sal you speak of..." He gave her a wink and worked his way back to the bed, stopping here and there to pick up other pieces of his wardrobe...and was that his vuvuzela? Oh man, what a crazy night.

Farryl nodded at affirmation. Her feelings were about the same. She was a little surprised that Peppeth had picked someone new, but not that surprised. Peppeth had a short attention span for most things, males included. She lived for the moment and seemed happiest that way. It was just as well, or she might dwell too long on the loss of most of her beloved siblings. She was happy now though, curled up with her Pettahth. Pettahth makes a good pillow, she crooned.
Farryl had managed to find most of her clothes and pull them on, while K'sel talked. She shook her head apologetically. "K'sel, that was it. Don't think you can back out now." She winked at his amusing comments. Really, she couldn't think of anything bad to associate with him. One of the advantages of not really know who your dragon chose, she supposed. She glanced over his shoulder curiously. "Is that a horn?" She hadn't guessed he would be a music lover. Learn something new everyday.

He would have been amused had he known that Farryl had heard no ill feelings towards him, since so many woman seemed born to hate him. Nephele, Karou, Syrene, and countless other women all seemed to have poor encounters with him yet this greenrider who should probably have good reason to dislike him - he actually saw her at wingdrills for better or for worse - didn't and instead was being not only civil but generally nice. It was a different feeling thats for sure, and combine with the post flight activities the usually dark and grumbling rider was.... very happy. This was a good day.
"Oh man whatever am I going to do now that you have my name?" But just because it was a good day didn't mean that sarcasm was out the window, it just meant that his sarcasm wasn't nearly as mean spirited as normal. The fact of the matter was that this was a good opportunity to try and be a nice guy. Girls talked after all, and he wanted good rumors about himself to be spread. Now instead of angry, mopey, ass, maybe the words nice, funny, charming guy could go around in the right circles, but these thoughts were interrupted as he caught her question and held up the instrument so that she could fully see and coughed to try and clear his throat. He winced as it hurt, but pushed on forward anyway, "Um yeah, you want it? Gets me in trouble..."
That was no exaggeration. Everywhere he went with the thing someone was behind him to yell at him about it, and now coincidentally his throat was just throbbing. Unless of course Farryl had spread some kind of disease onto him. He narrowed his eyes for just a moment as he considered the possibilities, but tried his hardest not to let any suspicion leak into his voice. The question came off as cool and humorous, "Hey um...your throat doesn't seem to hurt today does it?" He rubbed the front of his neck briefly...

Laughing lightly, Farryl waved the sarcasm aside. "I'm sure you may live to regret it someday," she said with a wink. Not that she meant anything by it, of course. It was nice to have such a light hearted conversation after last night. She'd heard of some very awkward post flight mornings from other riders. Fortunately, most of her partners weren't all that bad. In fact, she wondered why she hadn't talked with K'sel more before now. He seemed a decent guy, by her reckoning.
Farryl reached for the horn, looking at it carefully. "Trouble, huh?" She wondered how such a small thing could cause trouble. Still, if it made noise, that could be troublesome for some people. She shrugged. What was with the odd question too? Maybe he was still a bit fuzzy headed. "No," she raised an eyebrow curiously. "Why?"
