The relative quiet of the morning was broken by a rather unusual site. Garaeth alighted on the infirmary ledge with a loud and squirming T'ke held tightly in mouth. T'ke had spent the last few days hiding in his room, declaring that he was not going out with all the sick people. His plan seemed to have failed, however, when he started getting headaches. T'ke tried to shrug it off as stress, but his symptoms continued to get worse. He refused to go to the infirmary, claiming he had spent far too much time there already.
This morning, however, he woke up sweaty and feverish. He cowered from unseen enemies, even as he coughed in his efforts to breath. Garaeth had had enough. If his rider wouldn't go to the infirmary willingly, then he would take the boy himself. Garaeth had plucked him up as gently as he could, which wasn't easy with weak fists trying to punch is nose. T'ke didn't recognize him in the haze or illness, but Garaeth didn't take it personally. He hardly ever did.
Which brought them here, outside the infirmary and probably waking up everyone inside. Garaeth set T'ke down and the boy huddled in a heap, mumbling incoherently. "Giant blue darters!" he babbled, making a pathetic attempted to scuttle away from his dragon. "They'll kill us all!" Garaeth decided to ignore the insult and instead called to anyone who would listen. He didn't normally talk to people directly, but this was an emergency. Excuse me, he said politle, though he couldn't hide the worry in his voice. T'ke-mine is ill. Can you help him?

Raebeli was excited the first couple of times someone wobbled in delirious and confused. Well, not excited for them, but excited that she finally had something to do to break up the monotony of her nights. It was quickly figured out however, that the confusion and alternate realities they were creating were the side effect of fever and it was not a matter of mindhealing that came into play, but merely reducing the fever. If the fever were to go, so would the delirium, and well then there wasn't really a need for her to deal with the patients any more now was there?
Night time seemed to be when it was most common for patients to slip into these states. This was something she was prepared for, it was quite common for those recovering from surgeries and heavily medicated to suffer from the disturbed consciousness that marked the illness, but even though Raebeli wasn't the most knowledgeable in field of infectious disease, she could do what she did best, which was keep morale up, so she made the rounds talking to who she could and fluffing pillows and what have you. Her night had very little in the way of patients she could actually deal with, which was generally how every night went. Nobody here seemed to have problems, or at least ones that they would admit to, and she couldn't help unless they asked for it.
It was over for now though, and she could finally return to her bed that morning. Until a familiar face was seen all curled up on the ground. "T'ke?" Of course it was T'ke. The dragon said so....ah so that must be Garaeth. Well, now it really was a matter of calming him down and getting him up and into a bed. Another victim. Thankfully with this one the girl didn't have Cap'n with her. It would have been a disaster for the man who was imagining giant blue darters to see a real life darter hatchling that was indeed growing to giant sizes.
Kneeling down she rested a hand on the man's shoulder, "T'ke, it's me Raebeli. You need to calm down..."
