Raylin made her way nervously down the hall, towards Hepaticath’s weyr. The weyrling was frightened. It wasn’t fear of the rider or her gold. It was more worry that Ka’rys would be present. He was after all Savitri’s weyrmate. Frankly the bronze rider scared her. Combined with that fear was the worry about the nature of the visit. The reason the visit was worrisome? Raylin felt off, and the green rider had a strong suspicion that she already knew the reason. The weyrling was just afraid to admit it. Yesterday she had even skipped lessons solely because she had been nauseous. She had never actually thrown up, just got something from the infirmary to settle her stomach and then returned to her weyr.
Once there she sat on her bed to think, and she had counted. Three missed cycles, the tiredness, the inability to sleep, the sudden increase in appetite. Raylin didn’t want to admit her fears. Maybe she was just ill or the emotional stress had finally caught up with her. But then again there where the mood swings. Oh Faranth. Biting her lip the green rider rapped on Savitri’s door before she could lose her nerve. Maybe the gold rider wouldn’t be present. The weyrling almost hoped she wouldn’t be. Then, at least, she would have an excuse to leave and forget about this for awhile. Maybe she was just over thinking things. Either way she needed confirmation and Raylin didn't dare ask one of the other healers on duty. They where all male, it would be awkward at best, and Meira was on the night shift. She had to know one way or another.
Ebolath sat outside, tail tip twitching slightly, just oiled her hide was brilliant. Mine do make sure to tell Hepaticath’s congratulations for me. I will Ebo. Tilting her head towards the weyr Ebolath caught the glitter of golden hide. Excuse me Hepaticath? It is Ebolath. I heard yours was egg heavy. Congratulations to you and your bonded. Is she excited? The green was shameless in her contact of the gold. Ebolath loved everyone she did, and Hepaticath had been kind to her that day by the river. She was a nice gold she was. Hers had even said that the gold was her half clutch sister. That had been interesting to think about. Surely the gold would be pleased that hers was egg heavy.

It was not infrequent that someone hailed Hepaticath with a greeting or the start of a promising conversation, but the source of the most recent speech did leave the young queen mildly startled. From her rather dignified sprawl on the weyrledge, she inclined her head just enough to aim one eye upward. Ahh, Ebolath. Even without the weyrling's polite self-naming, Hepaticath could have identified her 'voice.' The young queen--whether out of ego or a strong emotional attachment to the dragons of her weyr--knew nearly all of the weyr's dragons by sight and mental tone. Annoying as it was to Hers that the queen did so, Hepaticath liked to know everyone. See how useful it was? Hers would surely have agreed, were Hers not... otherwise occupied.
Greetings to you, Ebolath. Mine is indeed egg-heavy. Thank you for your well wishes. She is doing well, though she eats constantly. the gold returned pleasantly to the younger female, twitching her tailtip as she settled herself back down on her ledge. You and Yours are well? I know that Yours was injured in the attack. Mine has been very concerned for her. The sound of Ebolath's arriving prompted Hepaticath to exercise more proper manners. Hmm, if Ebolath's was visiting, perhaps she should invite Ebolath to join them as well? Yes, that was prudent. Would you like to come join us here? There is plenty of room on my ledge. the queen commented very matter-of-factly, straightening her posture enough so that she did not take up half the ledge with her sprawling. There. Now there was even more room for the little green.
Savitri was well aware that someone was at her doorway, but getting up to answer the door was proving to be quite the problematic exercise. From a purely objective standpoint, pregnancy did not look quite as uncomfortable as it actually was, but Savitri was quite sure she was never, ever going to let Ka'rys get her pregnant again. Of course, she acknowledged that after holding her infant offspring, she would probably change her mind, but for the moment, pregnancy seemed like one of the most uncomfortable and disconcerting conditions to be in. It was even worse than the injuries from Hepaticath's hatching. At least then she could still see her feet. Now they were somewhere beneath the bulge of her belly that offset her balance and made breathing and getting up out of a chair rather difficult.
"Coming!" she managed to call out as she got out of her uncomfortable chair and moved toward the doorway, the hem of her skirt swirling around her ankles with each stride. For some reason, skirts were easier now, a fact which disgruntled and amused her. Surely her weyrmate would find that hilarious. That reminded her of the fact that he owed her a foot massage. The goldrider, despite her skirt and shirt, was padding around barefoot. Swollen ankles did not work well with shoes. Dignity and dressing properly were the last things on her mind, though. After all... pregnancy was a good excuse for just about anything, wasn't it?
Not an excuse for ignoring a friend in need, though, and Savitri's look of curiosity faded to one of concern as she recognized the greenrider outside her door. Now that was not the look of a happy young woman, was it? No, not at all. "Raylin, come in. What happened?" she asked, brows furrowed as she gestured the younger female inside. "Watch your feet. She won't trip you on purpose, but she's not got the sense to avoid being stepped on while trying to love on you." The warning was accompanied by a slightly accusatory gesture at the feline on the floor. Fish, in all her sleek, silvery glory, was draped across Savitri's shoulders, but youthful Vira was prowling the floor, purring loudly, and attempting to twine among both Savitri and Raylin's ankles. "Feel free to ignore her. It won't hurt her, I promise."

(It is perfect xD, that's not what I consider short at all <33)
Ebolath crooned loudly at Hepatiacath’s polite greeting and shifted to leap off her own ledge. I would love to visit with you while mine visits with yours. Thank you very much for the offer. The young green said politely, before actually leaping off the ledge to spiral down towards Hepaticath’s. Ebolath back winged and landed gracefully, tacking on a happy croon for good measure as she turned to face the gold. She eats constantly? I suppose she has to feed the hatchling as well now. Tilting her head she flopped down onto the queen’s ledge. Mine is indeed better. She still has moments of depression but she is doing much, much better than before. Actually she came to visit yours because she is worried that the stress of before has made her ill. Ebolath paused before adding. I hope we are not bothering you or yours. Mine just does not feel comfortable discussing things with those she is not familiar with. Mine hates having to go to the healers. It makes her very uncomfortable. Ebolath looked up at Hepaticath with steadily whirling green eyes.
Raylin almost mentally cursed when she heard Savitri’s voice. So much for the gold rider not being home. Then again she wanted to know for sure and the only way to find out for sure was to ask. Even if part of her didn’t want to know the majority of her did. So the weyrling waited quietly until a frazzled looking Savitri opened the door. The concerned look on the gold riders face had Raylin paling even more. Did she really look that horrible? Savitri’s warning about the feline was taken thankfully and Raylin was extremely careful not to step on Vira as she entered Savitri’s weyr. Finally making it past the furry hazard Raylin turned to face the weyrwoman and struggled to keep her voice steady. “I am sorry to bother you. Are you and the baby doing well. I wouldn’t have bothered you but I… I need some advice.” The green rider trailed off and gestured to the chair Savitri had obviously vacated not to long ago. “You can sit down. No need for you to be on your feet. I bet your uncomfortable.”
Raylin swallowed against the lump in her throat as she tried to put her thoughts into a useable order. “Truth is I don’t know exactly what is happening.” She began, taking another deep breath before allowing herself to continue. “I think I’m sick, or…something.” Sinking down onto the floor, the weyrling sat cross-legged and reached out to stroke Vira. Running her fingers through the felines soft fur she sighed again. “I can’t sleep, I’ve had bouts of nausea. although I’ve never thrown up and I’m tired all the time.” Looking up at Savitri Raylin shook her head causing her dark hair to fall over and partially conceal her face. “That’s not all though. There’s other stuff as well. At first I thought it was because I’ve been stressed and depressed lately but now…well I’m not so sure. Can stress cause you to go off cycle? I haven’t had a cycle since before October. My October one never came and now it is past time for my November one too. I’m sorry to bother you with all this but I don’t feel comfortable really speaking about it to anyone else.” Looking up, and pausing in the stroking of the feline, she smiled weakly. “I’m sorry If I’m being a pain. I just didn’t know who else I could ask. I suppose it‘s a little tactless of me to come bother you with my problems when your obviously busy yourself.”
