Kalina looked at them all. By the egg she was only trying to be nice. Well, Dyudalhii seemed to be able to take care of herself. Oh well. Seeing she wasn't wanted she chose to leave. "I guess its settled then." Eyes stormy in barely contained aggravation she walked off. The lizards followed, though one paused...tempted to-
No Arcturious Mental prompting from Kalina had the him flying back through the woods.
As Kalina walked she felt Uminth stir from her spot on the weyr ledge. You're angry, why? Kalina made her way down the path...brushing aside palm fronds and other vegetation in the way. That girl...I just wanted to be helpful...but those men seem to have it under control. Uminth's mind brused against Kalina's....picking up impressions of what happened and the under current of why Kalina was upset to begin with.
I know you had good intentions...and wanted to make a friend, but they had a valid point. The girl didn't need to be brought to the Weyr...she would have likely been overwhelmed. Kalina kept walking, she could hear the thrum of the falls now. It's just...nobody understands me here. The men...the women. Its like back home. My interests are different. I thought at least here with so many different people I would find /someone/ more like me. She could sense Uminth mulling over the words. She knew hers had been feeling rather down recently, unconnected. You need to give others more of a chance Minelove. Not every one will want to collect strange objects or feathers or go rock climbing or anything else like that. Join in with something some one else likes to do first.[/color] Kalina paused...taking time to watch as an insect flew from flower to flower on a late blooming tree. I guess you have a point...but everyone seems wrapped up with what they are doing. I don't blame them...with all the things that have happened. People missing, that sickness that hit us, the attacks....its just, people need fun too...laughter. All this seriousness is getting to me. She continued walking again. You're a Dragonrider and these are serious times. There will be more room for laughter when things settle down.
[ooc: I figure with my intermittent posting its time to let ya'll have fun. I'll be working alot this week!]

Crystoph gritted his teeth as Kalina stormed off in a huff. What a sharding witch. The red head bit down any retort he was willing to offer. So not worth his time. Scratch her off his list of possible bedmates. Sharding wherry. Turning his attention back to the wild girl and Dmitri he let his red locks fall forward to partially conceal his face. A glance was given back to the area where the darter had been. In all the commotion it seemed the little creature had escaped. Pity it would probably just get eaten by a fire lizard or something similar later. He could have stalled it’s suffering. No sense looking for it now though. They still had this Dyudahlii to worry about. They couldn’t very well leave her out here could they? Not really the best wording to that question. They could leave her. But should they?
The wild girl’s admission that she was alone caused the red head to nod in understanding. “So these canines are your only companionship? Don’t you miss people?” The words where offered slowly and with an underlying calm. Surely she had at one time known other human companionship. Otherwise how would she have come to be here? Crystoph pondered this question for a moment before turning to the wherhandler. He was all to happy to turn over all his involvement with this girl to Dmitri. Still the candidate stayed put. He didn’t really want to help but now that they had found Dyudahlii he felt responsible, at least in part, for her. After all it was pretty much their fault that she had gotten bit by her own canines.
“If you don’t need supplies from our healers the least we can do is make sure you get home safely.” Crystoph offered before leaning nonchalantly against a nearby tree. If they couldn’t get her to the weyr, at least they could find out where she lived. After they did that they could ask someone with more authority what should be done about her. It wasn’t safe for the girl to be living out in the jungle no matter how capable she was. Felines ran in groups after all and not even Dyudahlii and her canines combined could kill an entire pride. It was just not a good situation. As far as Crystoph was concerned the woman had so far been lucky.

Well, he really should have seen this coming, huh? A Dmitri on the ground pretty much invited all wild animals in the area to come over and make a couch out of him. Whers in particular, but canines apparently were close enough - at least in size - that the 'glamour' worked on them too. How delightful.
He ran a hand over the creature's head, nudging him away at the same time. "Stop that. Fine. Just fine. The ground is nice, eh? You, however, are not, because you are heavy and are making all my insides go squish," he told the canine, his tone utterly serious and anything but excited. Excited encouraged excited canines. That much, at least, he had no trouble comprehending.
Fortunately, the girl called off the mutt before Dmitri could be squished too terribly flat - hopefully before any real internal damage had been done, he added dryly to himself - and the wherling eyed her hand for a moment. "No, I'm not hurt. A little flattened, but that's of no consequence." It was only to be expected that a girl who had lived on her own - now confirmed - probably knew how to take care of basic healing issues. Scratches included. Case and point: she was here, wasn't she?
Before he could clasp the hand she offered him, however, the argument between the other two abruptly halted, with the greenrider storming off through the trees. Dmitri arched a brow questioningly at Crystoph, though his attention was back on Dyudahlii so quickly that it had to be clear he didn't really care what had sent her off in such a huff.
Crystoph seemed to be taking an interest in the girl, at least, which made it easier on Dmitri. He finally took the hand offered and used her help to lever himself to his feet. The wherhandler clearly made a face at the candidate's suggestion, however. He was not interested in spontaneous excursions into wherry shadow land without Dmisk, thank you much.

Dyu turned, finally giving most of her attention to Crystoph. She mulled over his words to her . "Yes, Bawnii and Klaiid, my only...family." A companion did not seems to express her bond to those canines efficiently, yes, they were her family, her only family for these past seven turns. "Do I miss...people?" She thought about that for a while. "I miss my mom and dad...there was no one else. Mom, Dad, and the other dogs, they are gone. No one else, no others. You are first others." Dyudahlii sighed in frustration. This was difficult. She tried to remember how the characters in her mother's book spoke to each other and even though, she could remember those stories clearly, it was so much more difficult for her to actually converse. She was full of such a jumbled mix of emotions, nervousness nearing the top, all this made talking so difficult, much more difficult then she remembered.
"Sorry. Have not talked with others in a long time. Very....difficult." Her frustration made her almost forget about Crystoph's offer to help her get home. Not that she needed the help, she knew her way back, truthfully she didn't know where she was but she knew where she came from and she was sure that after a while she would find the familiar signs of her trapping and hunting trails. Either way, she was not sure if she even wanted the help, she did not really want return home, not yet at least. She wanted to learn more about the others. Her curiosity was overflowing, demanding of her to stay, to learn. Anyway, she knew what home meant, trapping, hunting, hiding, surviving, all laced with loneliness, a loneliness that her canines, her family, could not fill. Even though she did not know or understand it herself, she missed and craved human companionship.
