Will you get me something? Peppeth landed neatly just outside the gather and let Farryl jump down. At least she never had to worry about jumping from too high up where the tiny was concerned. "What could you possible want from a gather, Peppeth?" Farryl chuckled, imagining her dragon festoon with draps or eating bubbling pies.
I am sure you can find something, Peppeth said eagerly. She wanted so much to come. The gather looked like so much fun! But, small as she was, she was still to big. Hobbs trilled merrily, explaining that he'd help Farryl get just the right present for his big, green sister. Farryl lifted Isshun down from Peppeth's harness. First thing was first. She needed a better way to carry her grouchy new friend. He didn't have enough grip to ride her shoulder like Hobbs and she didn't like leaving him alone when he could get hurt or annoy someone.
With Isshun in her arms and Hobbs on her shoulder, Farryl headed straight for the Weaver's Stall first. Hobbs was delighted with the adventure, but Isshun looked like he was ready to explode at any moment. There were far too many people around for his liking. He shrieked every time one came too close and probably scared more then one holder out of there wits.
"You hush," Farryl patted him, though he just grumbled more. "If you're not nice, maybe I won't get you a present after all and you can just stay in my weyr all the time." Hobbs whistled sympathetically and Isshun relented just a little. Farryl sighed deeply. At least Zellos had kept his grouchiness to himself. It was hard to do anything anymore when Isshun could start screaming at a moment's notice.
She ran her hand over the colorful blankets thoughtfully. They were all very nice, but it wasn't quite what she was looking for. "Excuse me?" she asked curiously. "Do you have any shoulder bags?" One out of leather might have been better, but cloth would do most of the time.
