T'san had a mandyr prior to Svelte. She listened to him a lot better than his current one did. (The fact that they were both green disturbed him sometimes - where sometimes was all the time. Then again, Nevroti proved that colour and specie had nothing to do with surviving or...not.) His current mandyr didn't believe him when he said he didn't actually want to leave the weyr that day. He wanted to be lazy, damnit. But no. Svelte had decided that T'san needed to get out (though she still had relaxing in mind) and she'd heard about these lovely hot springs...
When Dsoleth had joined the mandyr in prompting him to go somewhere there was no chance of winning. To add to the odd little group, T'san had decided to bring his feline out for some much needed fresh air. If he had to go so did the cat! So it was that brownrider, brown dragon, green mandyr, and feline found themselves at the hot springs. They were by no means alone. There was a rather large number of people present and T'san chuckled. "You are so unoriginal, Svelte."
Not, the green commented sharply. She was not unoriginal. Hers was just, as usual, lying. It was really nothing new but she wished he would learn sometime that she always, always saw the Truth. The brownrider would have shaken his head at her feelings if not for the fact that the green was currently clinging to his hair. Instead he saw a place that was actually empty and made his way there - No! Not...nnr. No. - only to turn and head to a place that only had one other person. He stopped by the hot spring and smiled at the occupant. "Hey. Hope you don't mind company, 'cause I'm invading," he told the person in a sing-song voice. Spice, who'd been following his human-pet up to the water meowed pleasantly.

K’fuzzi enjoyed the hot springs, in fact they were probably his favourite thing about Burimyu, as he would always think of the Weyr, what wasn’t to like? Unlimited, never cooling water, and now that they were no longer hiding from the wastelanders the springs were positively the ideal place for humans and dragonkin alike to hang out. Certainly it was ideal for a greenrider who liked to lounge in hot water until he was as wrinkled as the oldest uncle and his two green socialite mindmates.
Naturally it was Jubilee who first responded to T’san, she’d been splashing around and preening in the water, making sure every inch of hide was clean and shining but she soon stopped to respond to the brownrider’s comment with a welcoming trill. Of course he could join them! She just knew K’fuzzi would love the company! The green firelizard climbed up out the spring and shook herself free of water carefully before examining Spice with her wings cautiously half spread and her legs coiled ready to fling her into the air. Look. The firelizard prodded the minds of her human and dragon insistently. Look at the fluffy.
K’fuzzi rose from a lounging position with only his head above the surface and opened his eyes to see who it was that Jubilee was welcoming. A glance proved the speaker to be T’san, a brownrider K’fuzzi didn’t know better than in passing, although that comment would cover most of the riders that hadn’t been in his weyrling class, K’fuzzi was no real extrovert and he’d come to the south not long before Impressing Balath. ‘Jubilee’s got the right of it.’ The greenrider commented. ‘I don’t mind at all, and she certainly won’t.’ Anything else K’fuzzi might have said was cut off by an excited squeal that caused him to wince somewhat. If a little girl had grown to be the size of a dragon shed make noises just like Balath.
Oh Fuzzimine! Look at the fluffy one! Isn’t he adorable? His eyes are so blue! Can I have one? Please? Pleasepleaseplease? Balath had, naturally, looked at the feline just as soon as Jubilee asked her to, and was totally enthralled by the furry beast, stretching her neck out toward him and lowering her head to the ground to better observe him, her eyes whirling in jewel bright shades.
‘Balath is rather taken with your feline.’ K’fuzzi commented with a wry grin, anyone who knew their dragons would know that Balath was interested in the cat. ‘I’m rather curious as to why he’d want to come out here though.’ K’fuzzi took Balath’s word for it that the feline was male, he wouldn’t have the first idea of how to check. ‘Is he one of those felines that like water?’ K’fuzzi had heard of them but hadn’t really believed the tale.

T'san correctly assumed the green firelizard's welcome would be echoed by the rider. He knew better than most that draconic pets often ignored their bondeds' wishes, but a firelizard's welcome was more than enough for the shameless brownrider anyways. Spice, too, rather liked Jubilee. Granted, the furball had a totally different reason for liking the green. The feline crouched, butt up in the air, tail swishing through the air as he got ready to pounce his new playmate. Never with the intent to harm, but to play.
T'san and Spice both startled slightly at Balath's squeal, though. The brownrider had a much less visual reaction than his feline who jumped a good couple feet into the air in surprise. No amount of dragon comfort would have helped, T'san was sure. The rider joined K'fuzzi in the hot spring with a hearty chuckle at Spice's expense. "I can tell," he said in response to the greenrider's confirmation that Balath liked his cat. "Dsoleth took a liking to the litter he came from, too." Not that he regretted buying the cub. Spice was a wonderful companion.
Spice, who by then had calmed down, playfully leapt at the lowered head. He meowed rather playfully at the creature that dwarfed him, oblivious to any sort of danger. He'd been born and raised near dragons, after all. Namely a bronze and a brown. Green's were not so big in comparison! The brownrider shrugged slightly, sending out interesting ripples. "Well, he didn't really know where we were going, though he really doesn't mind water all that much. Not sure I'd say he liiiikes it but..." The brownrider trailed off with a wry smile.
