Kalina was waking up to an ever growing sense of agitation and discomfort. She tried to rollover and couldn't. What's on top of me? She grunted, trying to move. As she opened her eyes she saw green....tail? KalinaMine! KalinaMine! Lets get out of here! Find big open space to close here, too close! The tail finally dissapeared and the weight was off her. Kalina sat up. "How'd I get here?" She said as she looked at the couch. This wasn't her cot..."Hey you slept with your tail in my face! That's not nice." She immediately came to regret her grumble as Uminth spun around and huddled her.
I sorry KalinaMine! I rolled that way. Didn't mean to stick my tail vent in your face! Kalina realized just how agitated and upset Uminth was. "It's okay Uminth. I'm not mad really. What's bothering you?" She couldn't go 16 hours with out already distressing Uminth. How would she ever be a good rider for her? It's too close. Walls pressing down on me... Her eyes whirled with agitation.
Standing up Kalina found some clean clothes. Uminth didn't want to wait and peaked out the door. She and Kalina walked outside. Immediately Kalina felt a lessening of the oppressive feelings she woke up too. With a sigh of relief she stretched. So enclosed spaces really bother you? She wondered where to go first now that they where out. Small spaces are scary... Kalina found a place to sit and looked Uminth over in the light. If she hadn't woken up with the hatchling she have thought impression a dream. But there was no denying it, Uminth was hers and she was Uminth's. In sunlight her colors came out wonderfully. Stroking the eye ridges, Kalina asked, "Do you think you could handle the indoors long enough to go eat? We could find a seat near the exit or a window?" Uminth gave a faint prummm as she relaxed into Kalina's attentions.
Only if you stay near me.
