Yes! Rose clearly loved 'him' more than all the rest, Haru trilled in glee. See how she danced with 'him'? Even that mean coppery bronze couldn't match their grace. Together, 'he' and his lovely queen were the most beautiful things in the sky. No one could deny 'his' superiority now! Even as Rose continued her game with the other males, Haru stayed firmly in he wake. Let the others be slow and easily manipulated. Only Haru could keep pace with such a marvelous queen as Rose!
The long flight and constant quick turns were getting tiring, however. Not that Haru would even admit to the fatigue of 'his' wings and the burning in his lungs. If the other males could keep going, than of course Haru could too! Was 'he' not the greatest of all of them? Heedless of whether Rose saw 'him' as a suitor or not, Haru blazed around her in delicate dips and spirals. Haha! See how only 'he' had been called to dance with the glorious queen!
Until, that is, Rose turned skyward. Adrenaline pumping and eyes burning an odd purple-blue, Haru pushed 'himself' to new heights to keep pace. Haru's green wings betrayed 'him'. Try as 'he' might to follow as she wished, 'he' could not climb nearly as fast as she. Rose was gradually getting further and further away. Frustrated with 'his' lack of progress (though clearly it was all the fault of the other males somehow), Haru settled for a few quick dances in and between the other males instead. Surly Rose would see how slow they were, even if 'he' could not reach the same awesome heights as she could.
