Deceased: Died in Selenitas Earthquake Plot
Mina
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Rank: Weyrling
Physical Appearance: Mina has light, wavy, brown hair that borders on dirty blond, which adorns her face and falls to her chest. Born with a charismatic face, her eyes are light blue, usually betrays her emotions. Her face is rather narrow and it rounds of near her chin and usually is a bit dirty for she sees no reason for girls not to tussle in the mud with the boys. She has thick eyelashes and thin, red lips which are usually twisted into a cheeky grin. Mina is a bit shorter than the average girl of her age and her weight is about average. She has a good body shape, but her legs are slightly disporshined from the rest of her body owing to the fact that they are slightly longer than normal (perhaps this has to do with her love for running).
Personality: Mina is a hyperactive little girl who's main goal in life is to thoroughly enjoy herself as much as possible - at everyone else's expense. You do well not to do anything to anger her, for she is not afraid of retaliating, even against her strongest antagonizes. However, it is quite hard to antagonize her, but if you do, she will go off like a bomb, lashing out at you in more ways than one. She is defiantly not your average girl; she has never worn a dress in her life (nor does she plan to), she has never cried (which, in her opinion, is a sign of weakness), she is not afraid to get down and dirty, and would be quick to punish those who, in her mind, deserve to pay for whatever their 'crimes' happen to be.
Though she is aggressive, you wouldn't guess it. She is actually rather pretty, but she would be the first to deny it, she is extremely uncomfortable about anything that relates to with beauty and love. You would be hard pressed to ever find her flirting. However, she is a cunning little beast, and if you ever catch smiling in your direction, you'd best turn and run away from her as soon as possible. She is not one to cross. However, if you see past her scheming ways, you'll find a girl who is loyal to her companions and quick to protect or help those who are in need.
Mina is also very hyper-active and energetic. She has a one track mind and she never ever thinks before she acts - and that is sure to land her in trouble quite a few times. This candidate seems to be unuassualy uncanny, and seems to have great insite on things that she should not have found out about. She loves to take chances (she is a bit of a daredevil), and she never backs down from challenges.
History:
Mina was born as a product of a green/brown flight. Her mother chose not to abort, but a soon as Mina was born, she was fostered to the lower caverns, and was raised by another mother who had just given birth to her fourth child.
The first years of her life were completely average. She learned how to walk, talk, feed herself, and her life continued at a normal pace. She became best friends with her foster mother's son, who was named Kolarnor. They were unseperable, and they got along extremely well. When she was two, Dolphin Lake Hall was attacked, but Mina was otherwise preocupied learning how to walk and talk.
Mina's first sign of her cunning was when she was six. She had watched some of the other weyrberd boys torturing the WatchWeyr, so she got it into her idea that they should be punished. Mina 'borrowed' some tinder and a match, and lit one of the unsuspecting boy/s pillow and blanket on fire while he was eating. Nobody could ever 'prove' who did, it, but nobody ever suspected the little innocent girl. This began her trend of punishing others.
Mina first felt a terrible loss as thread began falling again. Her childhood thread had been outside, and was badly scored. He died before he made it to the healer. The Weyr was Frantic. Mina had been taught that thread would never fall again, but apparently, she was wrong. The dragons flew out to protect Pern, but there were many casualties, and dragons died. Mina mourned the death of the riders and her late best friend in a brooding silence. She never expressed any emotion at all.
Later that year, when another clutch was laid with a queen egg, Mina was shocked to see that other girls were trying for it, when everybody knew that Seresta would impress the young queen, for she was of Selenitas blood. But then, Shmee impressed Aslath; shocking the weyr completely. Though Mina shared in their astonishment, she did not comprehend why everybody was making quite a large deal about it all. Even though it broke tradition, was it so unnatural that a queen could impress who it chose, just like any other dragon could. You didn't see anyone giving a shard about who impressed the other dragons, all everybody else was concerned about was the queen's choice, or so it would seem. Weren't they just as important. Mina began to develop an aversion to the majestic golden beasts.
But when the senior weyrwoman died, Shmee stepped up to the task at hand, and it didn't matter anymore that she was a decendant of Selenitas, and the weyr seemed to accept the weyrwoman.
When Mina turned 11, she was outside playing when a Golden dragon appeared in the sky. The weyr welcomed the mysterious queen rider. Rumors reached Mina's ears about drugs Benden used on Fath, though Mina discounted the stories. Her kind heart refused to accept that anybody could be that cruel, but when Fath's clutch hatched, and the dragonets had deformities, Mina was forced to accept that somebody could be cruel enough to harm a queen dragon. Mina perceived a new meaning of the word evil, and she began to accept that it was true Benden harbored evil doers. As the year progressed, a bronze rider arrived at Selenitas, trying to take power at the Weyr, but failed, and 26 eggs hatched into healthy dragonets. Mina new that soon it would be her turn to stand on the stands, and she would be given the chance to impress. She began to harbor the secret hope that she would impress a green.
As Mina reached twelve turns, a tragedy struck the weyr. The first Mina new of it was she heard a terrible keening that chilled her to the bone, and she quickly learned that a group of weyrlings had been killed, including a golden queen. Mina was shocked, and sobered into silence; she didn't talk to anybody for more that two seven-days. To further her sadness and dismay, news was brought shortly after of the demise of the Fort Weyrleaders. But the fact that the Junior Weyrwoman had escaped consoled her. Mina was running down to the lower caverns to bring the news, when she fell, badly, and broke her leg. She was taken to the Healer, and he put a stilt on her leg, but Mina was terribly bitter. She might not be healed in time to stand for the next hatching. But lucky for Mina that she was in the infirmary when she was. For while she was healing, the other candidates and the weyrlings were kidnapped. The next thing the girl new, was that Shmee was missing, and that Benden seemed to be at the bottom of it. As Mina's leg continued to heal, the weyr got less and less news of the location of their missing weyrleader. Thankfully, The weyrwoman eventually returned to the weyr, and life seemed to settle again.
Another clutch was clutched and hatched, and Mina was permitted to stand for it. A queen egg was included in the clutch, and finally there was a reason for the weyr to celebrate! But she was not accepted by any dragonet though, and Mina was left standing on the sands. Mina wasn't to disappointed, or she new should would have other chances at impression. She watched as the queen egg trembled and finnaly burst forth. The queen rushed forward toward Savitri, quickly impressing. The girl cheered right along with everybody else; Savitri would make a great weyrwoman Mina had decided.
But another tradgedy was in store for the weyr. Shmee was poisoned and killed, leaving the weyr without a senior weyrwoman. The weyr was in havoc, they needed a leader. It was decided that the next queen to mate would become the senior weyrwoman. Millieth filled that requirement when she took to the year a few months later, and K'roi became weyrleader. Order was once again restored to the weyr, however, the weyr was still bitter about their weyrwoman's demise.
However, this past year, the girl's life was turned upside down. Though Mina harbored antagonistic feelings toward Benden and what they had done, she never though that they would attack Selenitas. The weyr was in caus, and Mina would never forget the terrible sound that the dragons made when the weyrleader was killed.
But now another clutch is about to appear on the sands, and Mina would get a second chance at impression. She stood for the clutch and found herself, face to face with the Horse Green and impressed possibly the most beautiful dragon of all (she may be slightly biased[i/], her Kunth.

Horse Green
Name: Kunth
Color Code: 057915
Impresses to: Mina
Appearance: Kunth is lovely in her proportions and on the larger side for her color. There is no part of her body that is larger or smaller than it should be, save for her eyes. Her eyes are just a smidge big, giving her an almost innocent and youthful sort of look, something she will retain throughout her life. Her wings are of perfect size to get her body airborne, and the sails are a little more translucent than normal giving her an even lighter and more graceful, lovely appearance.
In coloration, Kunth is a dark, vibrant shade of green, her entire hide slightly glossy to the point where she nearly gleams in sunlight. The entirety of Kunth’s hide is not the same color, though, for she shades near to black at the tip of her muzzle and at the ends of her wings. On her right flank is an odd black splotch that looks faintly like a handprint. Or a perched dragon. Or a bird. People could probably make a game out of deciding what the mysterious marking looks like, but it is certainly ambiguous enough to be interesting. Her only other marking is an irregular little black splotch between her eyes, on the top of her head.
Kunth will best be known for two things: her speed and her odd walking gait. She will always be among the very fastest of greens, and even if she is not the fastest to start with, she will make every effort to be that way, through a great deal of hard work and practice. Her acrobatics will be less in comparison to her sheer speed, and her stamina will need work to build up. Still, she will always be proud of her speed… and her attempts to walk like a four-legged mammal. For some reason, Kunth simply can’t walk like a dragon when on land. She tries to walk like a runner or a canine, which is awkward and nearly impossible given her build. Still, it doesn’t stop her from trying.
Personality: Like many of her clutchmates, Kunth is very elegant when she feels the need to be. Poised, composed… and very, very talkative. Kunth is incredibly talkative and sociable, and she is happiest when in a group and enjoying the company of several others. She is very quick-witted and will probably always be very popular, given her friendly demeanor and ability to make nearly anyone laugh. Kunth has an excellent sense of humor and is secure enough to make a joke, even at her own expense. Anything to make someone else laugh will make Kunth happy, though injury is scarcely something to giggle at. Injuries are very, very bad, and Kunth can be very skittish and nervous when it comes to dangerous situations, for fear of herself or anyone else becoming nervous.
The price for being cheerful and flexible is the label of being ‘fickle’, and though that reputation is not entirely undeserved, there are occasions when Kunth is quite the fickle and stubborn little character. If she wants to do it her way, then she wants to do it her way, and shardit, but that’s how it will be done! These occasional fits of bratty behavior are forgivable by Hers and others, though, since Kunth is usually suitably apologetic at a later date. Still, it does not stop her from wanting her to do things her way later, so Hers will have to keep a close eye on Kunth’s preferences for things. You can never be sure what she’ll be fickle about.
No matter how many friends she has, though, Kunth will always adore Hers most of all. Unfortunately, Kunth can be protective of Hers to the point of picking Hers up in her mouth and carrying her away from a situation that Kunth finds to be undesirable. While this might be beneficial in a fight, having an afternoon tryst interrupted by a mindmate who feels the partner isn’t good enough… it might make Hers’ lovelife a little interesting. Kunth’s own lovelife will be interesting, given that she will probably Rise a little less often than her fellow greens. However, her choices will be wide and varied, and one can never tell just what she’ll decide on next.

Deathstalker Blue
Name: Chair
Age: Hatchling
Color: Blue #63EEFF
Gender: Male
Based Off Of: L'ka
Looks To: Mina
Physical Description: Average in every way is this blue, upon first glance at least. His body is somewhere neatly between large and small, with perfectly proportioned wings and legs for a salamandyr, as if he was sculpted from rock to form the perfect example of his species. However, close inspection reveals he’s definitely not flawless: his tail is slightly longer than the average salamandyr’s and bizarrely shaped, often curling at the end and arching behind him when he skitters back and forth, and his eyes are on the large side, standing out to the point of appearing bizarre. To make matters more unusual, his frill is on the large side, leaning toward top heavy, so that when he flares it he looks like he is about to fall on his face – literally! His build will help him to run relatively fast, given that he doesn’t have a lot of weight to carry, but like most blues of his species, he can’t fly at all and attempting to do so is comically pathetic on his part. He’s also not anything special when it comes to climbing or jumping, but he does possess a rather nasty set of claws that will help him to dig around in the ground and burrow – something unique among salamandyrs. When he needs to disappear, he’s liable to do just that: vanish into the dirt beneath his feet. No salamandyr here!
Two different shades of blue canvas this salamandyr’s hide, coloring him magnificently. The first shade is a vivid turquoise that splays on his underside, covering the insides of his legs, his stomach, the bottom of his tail, and his entire frill, like staring at a brilliant gemstone. Down the top of his back, covering the tops of his wings is a darker shade leaning closer to sapphire, complete with the metallic glints that make second and third glances to him not uncommon. What really sets this little male apart though is the six spots down his back and the two on his face (one over each eye) which are shades of true midnight, giving him an oddly dangerous appearance. He’s certainly very pretty, if a curious looking creature!
Personality: Arrogant - that's the word that describes this salamandyr best. He's of the opinion that he's the best creature to ever walk Pern. One would think that a blue would lack in this insufferable ego, but that is not the case; in fact, he's probably worse than many bronzes (much to the chagrin of said metallic 'mandyrs, who have little use for him); he thinks he's the best, and he's not about to obey anyone without good reason. And as far as he's concerned, he's not arrogant - he's confident. There's nothing wrong with having high self-esteem, is there? Beware to His if ever the two of them disagree: he'll always assume he's right and outright refuse to back off from his stance if it can be helped. He's the best, so of course he's always right. Deal with it. Just because he picked someone as his mindmate doesn't mean he's going to obey them completely. In fact, that's probably proof that he won't obey them at all without good reason! And he's rather impatient; he's one of those salamandyrs who dives right into things, as opposed to actually trying to wait for results. He can come across as something of a nag as a result.
In terms of dealing with others, this blue tends to be... conceited, but at the same time, he's on the friendly side; he'll talk to everyone else, but he has a permanent foot-in-mouth problem that might result in him offending more people than he manages to befriend, and he's always likely to simply assume they're wrong rather than try to fix the problems. He's relatively good about remembering responsibilities and he never shirks duty; usually this little guy will always do things he knows that he's supposed to be doing... but he doesn't respond well to demands. Asking gets better results. He's also an insufferable flirt with the opposite sex (and with other blues when he's tired) which can be problematic for His if only because once he's taken a fondness to a female, he simply won't let it go until he's managed to win her over. He's convinced he's good enough to do just that and he dedicates his time to that one female for as long as she holds his interest. Which, technically, isn't always very long but still.
Over-all, this salamandyr is quite fun-loving; he likes to be around others of his kind, although he tends to have a gift for offending them (particularly bronzes and golds - and he's not above chasing a gold, either) with his arrogance. Social butterfly, yes he is, even if he's ridiculously good at offending his conversation partners. Pretty people or people in a position of authority are favored by him, given a choice, but he won't turn down any conversation if he's given an opportunity. He's also helpful, so long as he's asked but Faranth forbid anyone who tries to demand. What? He's no one's slave!
