Rhino glowered as Shard told the nasty to go away. Yes, she was running. Good! If she was running then the nasty wouldn't get her and he could catch her and keep her safe. As the green landed the brown started running, just barely dodging annoying feet in the way. He'd take care of those later, oh yes he would! They were all in his way and they had better apologize. Shard was so very fast though. He had loads of trouble keeping up as he skidded around corners and scrambled to avoid stupid feet. Boy could she run!
The salamandyr was lead on by the brief glimpses of glowiness, ratehr than an actual green hide. If not for the glow she would have been able to blend in much better. He'd be in serious trouble if that were the case. Being unable to see his beautiful beauty would have been the most horrendous fate! The world could be so cruel though. Shard, however, was not cruel. So beautiful and kind~ Sadly, the brown was quite pathetic when he set his sights on any female. They were all the loves of his life until they rejected him.
Iskierka whirled on T'ke, hurt plainly displayed on her face. Evidentally the bluerider was completely capable of facial expressions, rare as they were. She'd be cursing Rhino when he no longer overwhelmed her. For the moment, though, she was caught up in the run. T'ke didn't want her help? Didn't need her? That may not have been what he meant but, under Rhino's over dramatic influence, she misinterpreted it as such. She released his arm and took several quick steps back. "Sorry, sorry. I's sorry."

Daring a glance behind her, Shard tried to take stalk of her chasers. Chasers was right, stalkers even! Why were they still coming? Was she that much fun to torment? A warm and fuzzy feeling was starting to creep into her mind. Maybe they really did like her? Was it possible? Panic bubbled up again. If that was true, what should she do? She couldn't let them catch her! Not yet, anyway, and not all of them. Oh dear, emotions were so confusing.
At least Guru seemed to have lost interest. His opinion of her aside, he was just too important for a little one like her, she was sure. All of her chasers, really, she wasn't sure why they were coming for her. Surely they had more attractive mates? It was both nerve wracking and flattering all at once. Baron was still with her, and he certainly was handsome. Rhino was nice too, and he told her sweet things. Both of them were keeping up pretty well. Sneak had back off a little, had she made him sad? Her wings dropped a bit. She hadn't meant to be mean, she crooned. She'd only be a little frightened.
What was this? Were they fighting? Some new flyers had come and one of them had gone after Guru. No time to stick around and see though, Shard was already around the corner and away. Where now? They would catch up if she just stuck to hallways like this. Oh, a familiar entrance! Shard put on the breaks so hard, she twirled around in a skid. Squeaking with distress, she ducked into the weyr's entrance. This was good. She knew this place. It was safe. So long as...
B-big Blue B-beast!! Shard wailed. Her frill went up, but she was going too fast. Whump! She thumped into the side of the sleeping monstrosity. No, no, no! He would wake up! She had to hide! The huge, to a salamandyr, dragon shifted, leaving a small gap. Shard dashed under his belly to the other side. Maybe they wouldn't see her here? Maybe the great blue one hadn't seen?
Little Shard? Garaeth started to stand up. He was still half asleep from his nap. Something was off. T'ke seemed distressed and he was sure his rider had been here a moment ago. The blue craned his neck to look under his belly. He was sure he'd heard the salamandyr. Where had she gone?
T'ke took a deep breath. Good, she'd let go. That was good, right? I mean, he wanted to get away right? Or did he want to be caught? Emotions were so confusing! He was free now. What to do, what to do. He back away slowly, his face twisted in confusion. He'd made her sad, hadn't he? He'd always known he was no good. Surely she wouldn't want him anymore. "Sorry!" he wailed. "I's no good!" He started to run again, sniffing. Maybe she'd find someone better, that would be good right?

Baron continued after the green mandyr with obvious zeal. This larger size made it tougher for him to keep up with her but he was sure trying his best. Humming low in his throat he followed her scurrying form from above. Normally he would have peppered his flight with twists and twirls but there was no point as she wouldn’t see them. The attack behind him went unnoticed as well as he winged around the corner and into T’ke’s weyr. Immediately he circled the area searching for Shard. Fortunately her crash into Garaeth was missed but the dragon was noticed and given a polite chirp in greeting as he got to his feet. Hello, hello blue one. Had he seen the little glow worm thing? He was looking for her he was. With another trill he alighted on one of the dragon’s neck ridges and lightly and fluttered his wings.
Elysia shrugged lightly. “Baron is pretty self sufficient. Obedient and hardly a problem at all. It is Amour I worry about. He has an obsession with little children or anything resembling a baby no matter the species. I am positive that gold wher will eat him soon for hovering and singing love ballads to her eggs.” The greenrider made a face. Not only that but he seemed to love begging her for a baby. Going as far as to attempt to coerce males into her furs with her. As if she needed the help or even wanted it. Ug he was a headache.
“I swear he should have been born a gold.” Idly she examined her fingernails before turning her attention back to M’ta with a slight smile. “Skipping? Flowers? I’d be lying if I said the mental image wasn’t amusing.” She gave a light chuckle before removing her back from the wall and taking a short step forward. “Personally I hope I never impress one of the little terrors. I don’t relish the thought of dieing if the little creatures ball and chain does so.” A sideways glace was given to the brownrider. “I hear they bond as strongly as dragons. That true?”

She wasn't upset at him after all? Well then! (No, it didn't take much to encourage Sneak to continue chasing, even though he was rather sensitive to anything that seemed like a salamandyr was rejecting him. He adored the fascinating creatures, though he'd never, ever admit as much.) The brown winged quickly after Shard, not the fastest of firelizards and the salamandyr could really move, but he'd been following at a slight distance so he wasn't that far behind. Fortunately, being a little behind meant that when she made that swift, squeaking turn of hers, Sneak didn't have to employ any special last minute ninja flying skills to follow her inside the weyr.
Oh? Where was she going? Banking abruptly, he barely avoided smacking into the neck of the dragon as Garaeth moved to stand, circling around it tightly before spotting the familiar glowing form. The male found a good place to cling onto the rock wall, dangling upside down. She'd stopped again? He crooned to her questioningly. What was the lovely green doing?
"Obsessed with babies?" A wry smile. "Sounds like a headache if he's the vocal kind." M'ta rubbed his foot along his calf, snorting softly. Yes, yes, they'd all thought it was funny, those who had seen it. M'ta wasn't much of a skipping flower delivery boy. Complete with songagram. He wrinkled his nose slightly. "Uh, I think that largely depends on the person, the mandyr, and the dragon? I definitely have a stronger bond to Ruth than PMS. But no, it's nowhere close to as easy to ignore as a firelizard bond. Some people seem to have stronger bonds to their mandyrs than their dragons though. A curious thing."

Rhino watched Shard's skid with a mix of worry and amusement. So long as she was okay it was alright to be amused, wasn't it? But if that stone dared to hurt the lovely green...His lovely green, at that! Shard seemed fien though and as she disappeared into a weyr the brown tried to go even faster to limit the amount of time he couldn't see her glowing form. He entered the weyr at the same time that she ran into a big blue dragon. So he was the blue beast, huh?
The brown lowered his head and snorted angrily, charging directly into a massive blue paw. He couldn't see Shard anywhere and that fueled the brown's anger at the dragon. He had hurt his Shard, no doubt! Green-eater eat Shardling! Bad! He said, continuing to push against the blue's left foot. Then a thought occured to the brown and he paused, a feeling drifting across the bond to His. Sadness, disappointment...Perhaps she had not been eaten but was hiding from him? Lovers did not hide from one another! The brown huffed one last time at the dragon (something was his fault, even if Rhino didn't know exactly what) before creeling in distress. Shard didn't love him?
Iskierka brought a balled fist to her mouth and gazed forlornly at T'ke. Didn't love her? Hated her? No! She couldn't stand it! She took a step back and mentally whined at whatever made life so unfair. She was just amazing so why didn't T'ke want her? As the green said something about being no good, the brown made a human-croon and shook her head. "No..." He was fine...really, it was quite unfair but not necessarily his fault and...where was he going? Iskierka took off after T'ke at a considerably slower pace, a part of her unwilling to give up. Loved him, she did.

Shard clambered on top of Garaeth's tail and started to run up it. The blue beast hadn't seen her yet and her males were here. She was getting tired of running and hiding. No matter where she went, they always followed. They were persistent. Maybe they really did love her? It was hard to believe, but her heart yearned for it. Yes, she wanted one to love her. Just one and it had to be the right one. How should she chose?
Up on Garaeth's back, she could see each of the males clearly. They were all so sweet. Sneak was here, even after she'd been so mean to him. Baron was here, keeping up despite his size. Rhino was here, brave enough to even take on the beast for her. Shard creeled sadly. She was not worthy of so much attention! In desperation, she leaped off Garaeth's back, forgetting to put up her frill to catch her.
At the last second, her wings caught her and she flopped on top of Rhino. Yes, her Rhino. She did love him. He would keep all the bad ones away, wouldn't he? He would love even though she was ugly? L-love Shard? she begged. He was so handsome and wonderful. She wouldn't blame him if he didn't. Curling around her brown, she crooned longingly. Shard love.
T'ke tripped and almost fell. Why was he running? He didn't want to run from his love. And he did love her, after all. "I sorry!" he cried mournfully. He whirled around and tackled Iskierka in a hug. She loved him, right? She was so beautiful, and he was ugly, but that was alright, wasn't it? He purred in his throat. She was good, she was.
Garaeth watched the events unfolding with amused interest. So that was what was going on. He should have known. Well, T'ke would need comforting when he came out of it, that was certain. Garaeth figured he'd better finished his nap before then. He would need all his energy to keep his rider from freaking out. His could be so silly sometimes. He should just learn to find happiness in things. Carefully settling back down, so he wouldn't squash anyone, Garaeth went back to sleep.
