R'ton cocked his head a bit at the placement of him and his lifemate. However, it was the decision of the Senior Queen Rider so he would follow unwaveringly her orders. If only to keep himself out of trouble. He was also glad that she had not placed himself under S'rei as that would just bode bad for both him and his Rodonth. There had been quite a bit of tension between the two even though they were both from Benden. They had never conversed as S'rei had left long before Rodonth had even gotten into the air.

His hands resting lightly before his chin, S’rei’s eyes flicked to the Weyrwoman, a wry smile turning up one corner of his lips. Of course she’d ignored his request not to make a big deal out of his being Weyrleader, though this was probably better than what she’d originally planned. He was never too big on this recognition thing. If people couldn’t recognize your station or respect you on your own merit, you probably shouldn’t be in that position to begin with. Good. She hadn’t sugarcoated what was going on with Benden. And he was glad that Shmee made it clear that the refugees were to be treated with respect. That was an issue the Weyrleader was not looking forward to handling if people started acting like idiots. Ah. Now on to the Wingleaders. A’noan. An obvious, but appropriate, choice, even if he was likely to give the younger bronzerider some trouble. S’rei hadn’t hesitated to insist that he remain in his position. N’call, on the other hand, was mostly Shmee. He didn’t know much of the bronzerider. The Weyrleader trusted her judgment, though, and of course he could always rearrange the wings as he saw fit if for some reason they weren’t working out.
His own wingseconds were perhaps not the strongest of the bunch, but they complimented each other well enough, and S’rei was confident the three of them could work well together. D’ran was actually a lot like the Weyrleader in personality – or, at least, the personality that S’rei most often conveyed, though truthfully his inner self was probably closer to the slightly stand-offish P’nor. Both I’ir and F’rah were solid wingseconds, and more likely to bear up under A’noan’s strong handed lead. S’rei was also pretty leery about putting a bronzerider under A’noan; that could cause some serious trouble. Both R’ton and D’vin he knew were capable. D’vin as a wingsecond of one of the Fort wings previously, and R’ton was good enough, if still a bit young. He might be seeing a Wingleader position in the future. Once he mellowed out some and learned the ropes from some more experienced dragonriders.
Nodding as he caught Shmee’s searching gaze, S’rei offered her a reassuring smile. This was well enough. At least for starters. He’d know more of what he was working with soon enough.
