Raylin struggled to her feet, Ebolath following quickly and allowing hers to use her as a crutch. “Owe us? Ke’rin you must be joking. If anything I owe you now.” She replied allowing Ebolath to curl a tail around the bag he threw in her direction.
She watched the bronze weyrling for a minute and shook her head. “I don’t mean the living heardbeasts.” She explained hastily. A bit confused by his sudden distance. “I mean the ones we cut up for our dragons. Although judging by Jaymith’s size he is probably already eating on his own. Ebolath and Peppeth and some of the smaller blues are still having their meals prepared. Unless I could find a dragon willing to hunt for Ebolath I am rather hesitant about letting her eat something pre killed now.” The girl trailed off confused as to why there was still so much tension in the air but knowing somehow Ebolath was involved.
Ebolath listened to Aonith’s words and trembled slightly. It is hard not to be angry with one who thinks you inferior. She shot back at Aonith and included Jaymith also. Her anger at Jaymith’s actions may be slightly unfounded but she was unwilling to let it go just yet. How would he have felt if she had kept him from his? She watched hers stoop to pick up the charcoal bag and fasten it to her neck ridge. Raymine you are tired. We should go back to our room so you may sleep. The green said gently nudging hers with her muzzle. The green weyrling tenderly stroked her bonded and nodded, for once agreeing that sleep was defiantly what she needed.
“I will be more careful with what I eat from now on. I will probably just avoid all fruit unless it comes directly from the jungle.” She paused to smile at the two dragons and Ke’rin. “I think Ebolath and I are going to head back to the barracks now. I still feel weak and she is still upset. Perhaps a nap would do us both some good. Thank you again.” She managed an awkward bow and began to stumble off, Ebolath helping her keep balance. That had been very awkward but what did you say to someone who just saved your life?
