Jazheera let out a quiet laugh as her brother sneak-attacked Terilyn with tickles before scooping her off the table. Her brother and the little girl made a good pair. When she’d gone off in search of M’ta turns ago she hadn’t expected him to be a dad by the time she found him. The human imagination had a weird way of twisting things to suit the person though. She’d been expecting quite a different person than the man who sat across from her. She’d been a bit disappointed at first but in the end she thought she preferred the real M’ta. It was much better than being reunited with a simple older version of the kid she’d once known.
“Mm,” she hummed thoughtfully as she recognized the other Weyrlingmaster’s name. She’d forgotten it considering it was relatively unimportant to her life. That Iskierka was supposedly on loan from Benden was common knowledge. If that was the case what M’ta said was probably true; she probably did know considerably more about fighting than M’kai did. All the same, Jazheera preferred connecting with her teachers, even if just a little. Doing so had only ever yielded good results for her. Teachers could be amazingly supportive when they need to be. A purely cold teacher wasn’t likely to help her at all, not that Jazz often sought help at all.
That was news to Jazz. She had though Behruth might be a bit…not scared but perhaps wary about her. She’d caused distress to both of the brown pair upon meeting them. Either way she was glad to have a chance to give flying a try before Dhavalth brought her up. The blue wouldn’t mind Behruth giving her a ride…or most likely any other dragon either. He wasn’t a jealous dragon. She was more surprised when M’ta asked her about her fondest memory. The smile she showed was decidedly gentle though she did hesitate a little. Still, she would not refuse M’ta knowledge of the past. “There are a lot of little things really, like falling asleep together as mother sang to us, but my favourite memory - memories,” she amended quickly, “has to be riding runners together with father.” The memories were a bit fuzzy even for her. It had been a long time. “There was one time you tried to get up on your own. No matter how many times you tried you couldn’t do it. Father helped you up and you sulked until father almost fell off his runner trying to amuse you.”
