Jazz didn't acknowledge the fact that he was showing her his palms. It registered, and she was even somewhat grateful, but she'd keep that to herself. She sighed inwardly as she reflected on her reaction. It wasn't really a bad thing to keep her instincts honed in the South, free as it might be from the majority of the war. There wasn't daily fighting but it wasn't exactly safe either. If it got her weird looks than so be it. If she was seen as strong or even just a little dangerously paranoid she didn't mind.
She chuckled at his theory. "Probably true," she commented, still chuckling a bit. It was why she would go to a show. She tilted her head curiously. "Speaking from experience?" He could interpret that in a couple of ways and she was fine with any way he answered. She may have bet away the first bit of information shared but that wouldn't stop her from trying to equalize it a bit.
Jazz resumed her path towards the main hall with Kostya once he was satisfied that he'd see something later on. She nodded once to show he'd guessed right about her being in a troupe. "I picked up the basics of knife throwing. When I got better at it I incorporated it in my act as well. The contortionist tried to get me to learn from her but I declined," she commented with amusement. As for travelling...that earned him a gentle sigh.
"Yes, lots of travelling. The troupe travelled through upper Igen, though I've been to more places than that. Despite travelling being a bit of an adventure, I prefer having a place to come back to. Saying home is where your comrades are sounds good in the stories but isn't actually all that great." She was a bit more candid than she would have thought at the start of her day but it felt good to let someone know, if even a little bit, about some of the things she'd felt when wandering Pern on her own.
