It was lucky T'ke couldn't see the back of his shirt, or he might have just collapsed right there. As it was, he jumped in surprise and nearly cried out. "Don't do that," he glared sourly. What kind of person sneaks up like that and, oh, the blood. He wretched and turned away, but managed not to throw up. He'd almost forgotten about that. It was amazing to him that the boy could even be walking when he seemed to be covered in the stuff. Sooner he got rid of this boy, the better he'd feel.
T'ke didn't need much encouragement after that. He practically ran to the Weapon's Stall. "Shard? Are you here?" T'ke-love! Shard shot out from under the table and made straight for T'ke's leg. She ran right up the inside of his clothing until she was safetly tucked behind his neck. The whole trick nearly made T'ke fall over again. "Hey, slow down!" Sh-Shard s-scared! Lonely-ly! She was staring wide eyed at the boy behind him. He was bothering her so much she'd started stuttering. T'ke patted her soothingly. "You're safe now. Come on, we'll go home."
"Thanks," T'ke told Vix begrudgingly. Are we leaving now? Looks like it. Can you meat us behind the Weapon's Stall without squashing anyone? Of course! I am a dragon, am I not? Precisely the point, but T'ke decided not to mention it. "Garaeth will meet us out back," he jerked a finger. "Where did you want to go?" Hopefully it wasn't far. He didn't feel like a long trip after all this.

Oh, such a touching reunion, right? Wrong. Worms, apparently, Vix thought, leveling a blank stare on Shard, were needy little braggarts. No wonder he’d only ever seen the one; he could see why nobody wanted one. His nose crinkled in annoyance. Part of him was very tempted to buy a bird – a large one, one of the hawk-type ones, just to train it to terrify worms. Beastcrafter, yes? Avians weren’t the same as herdbeasts and runners, but there must be some similarities, training-wise. But that could come another day, if he was still interested. No marks to buy a bird egg, of all things, anyway.
The thanks T’ke offered received only a brief, insincere half-smirk, before Vix tilted his head, one eyebrow quirking, starting off in the direction T’ke had indicated. “You know, I’m not really sure. I was thinking Blossom but…the Weyr’d be best, I think.” Finalize plans there, he could (and maybe, just maybe, he was procrastinating when it came to apprenticeship), not to mention that it was probably a more centralized location. And had a lot of dragons for transportation, too.
“Yeah,” he concluded, nodding to himself, “The Weyr…” He’d probably get a change of clothes from the Drudges or something, there, too. Couldn’t really go around with bloodstains down the front of his shirt (and face, for that matter). It was probably a little off-putting. Vix tilted his head back to glance back at T’ke, adding, “When you said ‘out back’, you meant…here?” One hand swept out, gesturing, towards the semi-clear patch of grass. Some people, but…“’Cause I’m sure once they see a dragon swooping down they’ll get the message and move.”
Because, yes; he was just that concerned about diplomacy and how people would react to being potentially squashed. They could move. And if they didn’t, they were probably stupid and deserved to die anyway. Simple logic, right?

T'ke blinked. "The Weyr?" He sounded uncertainly. Partly because he really didn't want to take this kid back home where he might run into him again. Partly because he wasn't really sure he could do that. He was no searchrider, after all. He couldn't just bring random people to the Weyr. He could be an assassin for all he knew. Though, he supposed that was unlikely.
Garaeth circled down slowly, giving the small number of people plenty of time to duck for cover. He crooned apologetically to them as he landed. T'ke glanced up from his thoughts and shrugged. "Too late now," he answered unconcerned. It wasn't like Garaeth had the heart to squash a crawler, much less a person. I think we should take him! the blue declared joyfully. You would, T'ke rolled his eyes at his dragon. I mean it, Garaeth said firmly. He brought his nose close to the boy's face. Hot dragon breath blew at his hair. His Mine could find him there.
T'ke stared at Garaeth. The he looked at the boy, but he had to look away quickly to keep from getting dizzy. Great, just great. We have to take him home with us. He knew better then to argue when Gareth made up his mind like this. He just hoped he could between without fainting. Otherwise it would be a long rider home. "Alright," he agreed grudgingly. He waved at his dragon, who was already kneeling down to make it easier to get on. "Garaeth says he'll take you."
