It was dusk this time, when the excitement decided to happen. Rosanna never really strayed about during dusk, it was always harder to see at this time, and much more... lethargic. But having waterfall spray hit you in the face kinda killed the lethargy. Shrugging her shoulders, one that had a tiny green salamandyr draped over it, she moved away from the waterfall to protect her sketchbook, this being her second try at sketching in silence after that fateful run-in with A'emi what's his face. She had brought some green chalk pencils with her, playing with Cotton's color scheme again and finding that as she flipped through her sketchbook, of recent sketches of the 'mandyr, the color scheme was off... In earlier sketches she was darker, while more recent ones, actually seemed lighter. Almost... glo..wy. Well crap.
And that was the exact moment the abnormally sleepy green decided to open her eyes, a croon rumbling in her throat, as Hers was having a shock panic attack which involved the young woman being stock still and all mind process power stopped. Which was odd, to say the least, of Hers. Oh well. Cotton gave a brief rub of her head against Rosa's cheek before flipping open her wings and gliding to another nearby rock, to let the spray fall over her. It had been another hot day down in Southern, and though she really felt no need to be particularly vain on other days, the green found that she must look her best to impress her blues, though really they should be impressing her. So she set about grooming herself, pushing of Hers rising freak out emotions as pre-Run jitters, Cotton certainly had them! A final cursory lick of her tail, and between her claws and she felt she was ready, flipping her wings on her back, a second croon issuing from her throat and she jumped to a higher rock away from the spray.
Pretty blues, pretty boys, she purred, tail tip twitching back and forth, Come see, come hear, come praise. Time to Chase, time to race! Her lilting broadcast was sent throughout the Weyr, a vibrating shiver flying through her body caused her wings to flip out before she gently tucked them back in. She was poise itself, mannerisms abound, and certainly the little mischievous side she had stolen from Hers was carefully hidden for now.
Rosanna for her part, was snapping out of her reverie enough to debate flying off somewhere to hide from the soon to be coming Chasers. It didn't help she'd never taken a lover before. This just proved to be loads of fun, didn't it? She had seriously been hoping Cotton was just the type of green... not to Run. Apparently, she was wrong. Whoop-dee-do. She quickly shoved her sketchbook and drawing utensils into the bag she had brought with her, eying the cliff to see if she could climb up and away from the Chasers. Of course that may just end with her believing she could fly and jumping to her death. But hey. At the moment she was reminded very much of every story she had heard of salamandyr Runs and Dragon Flights, and by the way Cotton's oh so quiet feelings were gently, prodding and demanding she give way, were pulling at her, they were all true. Which sucked. And made her regret the day she ever went near that hatching.
OhFaranth what if they all stayed in public!? She hoped she remembered where the Flightrooms were, this was a good enough excuse to use them right?

So it was spring.
A’emi got that, really, but he didn’t see why spring had to come with pools of mud, particularly when his wing drills presented the opportunity to slip and fall smack into the center of the biggest puddle in the history of forever. Not that he’d ever do something so uncoordinated, except that he absolutely had, and it was taking forever to get the mud out of his hair. (That said, it was also taking forever to get Kyrahth to stop rumbling hysterical laughter at him, but that was an entirely different ballgame.) In any case, he was still curled in the bathtub, loosely cross-legged, trying to pick mud and stubborn strands of grass out of his hair, when Cotton’s call went out.
Not that it really meant much to him. Salamandyrs babbled all the time.
What did mean something was the prick of consciousness from Titania, the sudden quiet alertness as the green, one wall away from him, lifted her head and uncurled into sinuous grace. She slanted a glance towards the bathroom door, idly amused, and then threw herself into a long glide off of her perch on the couch, landing in a neat leaping step and slipping under the door in silence. It wasn’t until she reached the end of the hallway that she deigned to purr a warning to A’emi, Find Svelte’s if you’d like. I think Cotton’s may appreciate your presence, though.
She made it to the other green in quick economic glides and leaps, conserving energy as she crooned at Cotton, the spines of her frill flicking out in pleasant greeting. Eyes flickered green-blue as Titania hummed a playful, Do I dare disturb the universe? And how should I presume…so lovely to see you again, and in better circumstances. The Salamandyr finished on a low rumbling purr deep in her throat, leaping up to a rock and scrambling to the top to perch, tail coiling around her haunches expectantly, eyes bright. It shouldn’t be too very long until the chase began in earnest, and until then, Titania didn’t plan on getting complacent.
“Dammit,” A’emi said out loud, stilling with his hands smeared with grainy, water-slick mud. “Really?” He ducked down to submerge himself in the tub, half to disperse the vague vestiges of Runlust and half to rinse his hair out again, trying to go even faster now. Figured he had maybe—what, five minutes tops. Ugh. If this mud dried it would be absolutely disgusting and he was pretty sure not even someone convinced they were a Salamandyr would find that remotely appealing and T’san would laugh at him and he would look ridiculous. A’emi scrubbed his palms through his hair one last time and then levered himself out of the bathing pool, snagging a towel as he went.
Kyr lovely…
The green twitched on the ledge, but fortunately A’emi wasn’t in a position to see it. What do you want, demanded in a tone that suggested that doing anything at all for A’emi was possibly the last thing Kyrahth ever wanted to do.
T’san there? Also, if some chick tries to crash the weyr, try not to bite her in half on impulse, yes?

"You...can't be serious," T'san said, open disbelief and honest annoyance in his tone as the green perked up. Am, Svelte chirped pleasantly. Do want. "No, no I really don't. But you're not gonna actually listen to me, are you?" The worst part about it was that Svelte didn't get the concept of mating, at least not for herself. He'd discovered that fairly early on when she was supposed to Run and just...hadn't. At least he wouldn't have to deal with any repeats of Aliene's brand of morning afters. He was infinitely thankful that Dsoleth was a brown and therefore Chased and not Flew.
Anyways, Svelte was off with...was that his...? Yup. Lovely. He'd managed to acquire some hard, fruity sweets and she'd just made off with his last one in order to give it as a gift to whatever lucky green was Running. As Svelte had put it, Chase! Tubble, chase! Because clearly to be chased brought to mind attackers and not mating in the green's mind. Nevermind that the other green's mindvoice has been happy and not frightened, clearly telling them to come meant the opposite and that she wanted them to leave.
With a sigh T'san got up, popping a meatroll in his mouth as he tried to locate the green's owner without the benefit of runlust from his own draconic counterpart. He was only going because he knew better than to try and avoid a crazed 'mandyr owner in a weyr where innocents could easily get hurt. Granted, he still may not manage to find them before...She's there. Dsoleth cheerfully informed him, flashing an image of the girl in question from the comfort of his own ledge. Thank you sooooo much, T'san huffed at the brown sarcastically.
Svelte finally arrived at Cotton's location, sparing a happy croon for Titania that was muffled by the sweet in her mouth. See look! She had a gift to take away some of the badness of having people chasing Cotton! In true Svelte form she ignored any rules about physical distance from the Runner in order to scamper up the rock and bring her gift directly to Cotton. Gifff...fft, sis! She struggled with the first word but the affectionate moniker came out easily enough. She called most 'mandyrs brother or sister, though, so she had plenty of practice with it.
"Titania's there? Well, there's one good thing, assuming she doesn't win," T'san commented to the air as he wandered the quickest route to Rosanna at an easy pace. No need for him to rush, not like he'd be hurting Svelte's chances any.
((Svelte does not mate, she chases because she worries the female is in trouble. That said, feel free to pick her/T'san and then pick someone else for the lulz if you want, this is just advanced warning. <3))

" So...tired..." Gus groaned as he thudded into his room, dropping onto his bed without another thought. Amelia was curled up on his pillow, but didn't so much as twitch as the heavy form of her's flopped down next to her. Oth was somewhere...around here. Probably with Uth and S'rring finishing up chores, but he didn't really care. He had worked all damn day any he was exhausted. This wasn't odd for the boy. He was tired all the time...work or no work.
This was about the time of day that Amelia would stir, loving on the half asleep form of her boy before she disappeared outside on her nightly travels. Au'st wondered where the salamandyr went whenever she left the barracks, but he hadn't asked her. Even if he had, she probably wouldn't answer. The salamandyr was cryptic at the best of times and downright enigmatic usually. So, when he felt her body tense, he knew she was about to go. It was odd though. It seemed a little early for her to wake up. Suddenly, the entire length of her slender body vibrated and she rose slowly, rubbing herself all along Gus' face. Heartloveeeee mine. We must hunt now.
He didn't really understand what she was saying and uttered a half hearted mumble of " Sokayyy, Mel. S'nice."...before he rolled over, presenting the back of his head to the salamandyr. It seemed that she wasn't done with him though, because she dug her claws into his head, crawling over the mass of hair to his face before ever so neatly biting his nose. He jerked away, eyes wide. " Mel. What the hell?"
Endlessly pleased that she finally had hers' attention, she moved from her spot where she had fallen to his shoulder when he jerked up to twine herself sinuously around his neck, vibrating and purring the entire way. Come now. Hunt. Protect. That was all she said before she licked his nose and then darted to the door. The sinuous mandyr was gone in an instant. Gus was left sitting there, rubbing his sore nose...wondering what was going on.
Amelia, however, knew her duty plain and clear. This was the day she had been waiting for. All her weeks of hunting the darkness had finally paid off. She was going to protect the virtue of a certain green salamandyr today, she knew. The silvery salamndyr darted to where the chasers would be gathering, keeping her lithe form invisible in the shadows. Even the shimmering sheen of her silver scales wouldn't be visible until she wanted them to be.
She finally made it to where Cotton was, and she lurked on the outskirts of the gathering, completely silent. Nothing would betray her presence until she was ready. Finally, she decided that she should speak up. No males had shown up (and why greens had decided to show up was a mystery to her, even though she clearly was very green herself. She was here to protect, dammit!), and she thought she could speak to those gathered.
Suddenly her voice came. She had been careful not to let her presence known to anyone, so her sudden voice would likely come as a complete shock to those gathered, Sillies... She purred at large, not emerging from her hiding spot. The greens would be able to hear her, but they wouldn't know from where her mindvoice came from. She was an expert at keeping her position secret. Then she crooned to Cotton, though she didn't hide her words from Titania or Svelte, or anyone listening. Why would you want to be owned? Your body is your most preciousss possession. Why let someone else own it and dirty you forever? It was an honest question. Why would she run? Why would she want to be owned? It was a mystery to Amelia, but as long as the green was a virgin, it was up to her to protect her at all costs.
Gus was about to lay back down. Mel's presence was firm in his mind. It wasn't runlust he felt, but an intense desire to protect...someone...anyone. Glaring at the nothingness in front of him, he cursed even impressing to the beast. There was no way he'd be able to sleep with her presence pounding away in the back of his mind. So, fixing his hair, he followed his bond and walked to wherever Amelia's presence led him...just to see what was up. Maybe then he'd find out who he was supposed to protect.
Luckily for everyone involved, Kaius had been moved to his own room. He hadn't quite found out how Eikane had learned about he and Sena's relationship, and he couldn't say he actually blamed the wherlinmaster. Well, he could blame him. Despite what had happened, Kai was upset about not being able to spend as much time as he wanted to with his best friends. Kaiusk was sprawled out on the boy's bed as he returned from the girls' room. Eikane had been watching it like a hawk ever since he had gotten moved and made sure that Kaius had retired to his own room before it got too late.
The wher watched her handler with amused blues and greens in her eyes. Why love, you look unhappy. The tall boy glared at her, flopping onto his bed, which was currently been fully occupied by Kaiusk...so he just ended up awkwardly on top of the gold, blinking dramatically down at her. " Will you move?" Kaiusk chuckled, purring lightly and moving so that Kaius would fall onto the bed proper. Instead of getting up though, she sprawled her bulk over him, nuzzling his face and licking his neck for a moment. " I think we need to set some ground rules..." Kaius said from beneath his overly loving wher, who was now occupied by watching Kai's other mindmate.
King was poised on the boy's nightstand, paws perched on his water glass. He was staring out into space, tail flicking urgently. Kaius looked over at him for a moment, recognition dawning on his face. He knew what King looked like when he was about to chase. He didn't stop to think who the salamandyr wanted to chase. It didn't matter. Kaius had just gotten into trouble with Eikane for absolutely nothing. Imagine what the wherlingmaster would say if he knew that Kaius had fucked up Kaiusk by letting King chase.
" King no!" He cried out to the salamandyr, who wasn't listening. He probably would have been able to catch the bronze mandyr, if he had't been pinned down by a golden mass of wher...as the mandyr hesitated for half a second. As it was, Kai was trapped, and as he lunged for the mandyr, he had to work his was out from under Kaiusk...that was more than enough time for King to get away, darting out the door.
" No, no, no, no, NO!" He chanted, falling onto the bed empty handed. The flightlust struck him before he even had a chance to look up at Kaiusk. King had only chased one other time, so the experience was still new to the boy, but he knew what was happening. Kaius looked down at the boy, crooning in concern. Kailove, are you okay? Get up this instant! She hovered over him from the bed, as he fell onto his side. Chirping anxiously, Kaiusk reached out for her brother. Senskbluebrothermine! Mine seems to be in distress!
Though he knew it probably wasn't the best idea, Kaius lurched to his feet, silencing one of Kaiusk's croons. "Stay here, Ai. Just stay!" Ignoring her concern, he practically ran from the room to go bang on Sena's door.
King, on the other hand. Was blissfully unaware of his boy's panic. He was pleased that his sister had chosen to run, and he would be damned if he let his stuck up boy ruin things for him. He liked his pretty green sister quite a bit, and he wanted a chance with her, even if she seemed more keen on their blue kin. Lovely Cotton. I am hereeee. He crooned at her, skidding to a stop once he realized that he was surrounded by greens. He blinked at Titania awkwardly for a moment, remembering her from Dementia's run. He nudged her mind briefly in acknowledgement before turning his attention to Svelte. Another green. Hm. Then he looked to Cotton...which was who he assumed was running. Though now he wasn't so sure.
Mine is stupid and probably not coming, but I am here, and I will chase you to the ends of the world. Your glow is so very lovely! He trilled, frilling pleasantly at his clutchsister.

Today was a good day and those were far between. Gara yawned lazily, feeling pleasantly full of food and maybe, just maybe, happy for himself. Today had been alright, after all. It hadn't rained, he hadn't starved, and Shard was even starting to like him now. Haru still hated him, but he could live with that. Fire lizards were funny that way. A delightful voice entered the blue's mind and he glanced over his rock ledge. What a pretty, little green, he thought. Chasing was usually too much bother, but maybe today he would give it a try.
Gara spread his wings and let the wind carry his considerable weight down towards Cotton. He landed heavily on a ledge near hers and offered his saddest, sweetest smile. Gara will chase, he declared hopefully. His voice then dropped down a bit. Though he will lose, he added sorrowfully. Doomed. DOOOMED! After all, Cotton wouldn't love him when she saw how fat and slow he was. She was so adorably tiny and she had these other pretty greens to please her.
T'ke moaned. He'd hoped with the pessimism he shared with Gara would keep the salamandyr from being much of a chaser. It seemed he was wrong. "Garaeth, rescue me!" he called in despair. Gara's sad, yet hopeful runlust was already creeping into him. Why? And ruin little Gara's fun? "Garaeth," T'ke growled unhappily. The dragon only chuckled. His needed to get out more. He didn't think mingling with more females would be all that bad. T'ke sighed. He should never have expected help from a dragon as laid back as his. Standing, he made his way slowly down to where Rosanna was. At least Gara didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry.

Oberon wasn't in it for the greens.
No, even though Titania was there, and there were three greens running apparently, that wasn't why he was here. No no... instead, it was because there was just so much potential for fighting. Seriously. They were practically fighting already, and with Titania and Svelte there, His was certain to throw at least one punch. Yes, the white-striped Brown was very much interested in Cotton's run.
And he wasn't disappointed. By the time he arrived, flicking transparent wings and frill at the gathered creatures in general, one green was already questioning Cotton's decision to run in the first place, and another was proclaiming doom. Doom 'deed, the clay-colored salamandyr purred, not bothering to close his mind off from anyone. As he slid in between two of the chasers, he added, Or did no one 'mind Cotton, one green atta time? Otherwise, ohhh, the ichor. The ichor! As usual, Oberon didn't simply speak; every phrase was sung, cooed in warm, comfortable tones. Seductively reassuring, especially considering he was was about to cause as much hell as possible for everyone in the run. Flopping on his side, he propped his chin on a wrist, flicking his wing sideways at Titania again as he looked for that one ghostly voice, the one questioning Cotton.
Reaching out privately to Amelia, wherever she was, he hummed, Right, so right she is, backwards green. Don't let the dirties touch, but how when hiding? So easy, when dirties closer than you... That wasn't enough, though. Encouraging Amelia wouldn't do much until someone was ready to catch. Rolling to his feet, he hopped up first next to Titania, who he caressed with a tail before moving on, following Svelte up to the rock she shared with Cotton. Lovely gifffft, he sang, cutting between the greens to corral Svelte away from Cotton. From lovely green. Prettier than Cotton she is, no? Cotton sorta... plain. Before the running green could get a word in edgewise, Oberon snapped his head around, eyes flashing briefly red as he hissed, Run!
M'kai dropped his head to his desk for a fourth time, digging his fingernails into the desk deep enough to get splinters under his nails. "No." He'd felt this feeling before, once or twice, the few times Bomb had chased. It was different than Futh, with his gentle, slow takeover, requesting help instead of demanding it. Bomb was a bit of a crazy, and his twitchy type of lust was different than the insistent burn that was coming from Oberon... but it was still more like Bomb's chasing than Futh's. M'kai could already tell that this would not end well.
Normally he'd just go find Isori, but she was still a Weyrling, and very very pregnant to boot. Not a good plan. The worst part, though, was... well, actually the more Oberon interacted with the other chasers the more worst parts showed up. Titania was chasing. Svelte was chasing. That meant T'san and A'emi, two people M'kai wanted to be around during a Run less than just about anyone else. Maybe Elysia, hadn't she stabbed Cr'oph once? But she was the only one he would want to avoid more. Best of all, the Green (well, the running one anyway) belonged to a Candidate. Yes, the only thing M'kai needed more than A'emi and T'san in a run was one of his students to chase. "Futh? Can you just like... hold me here?" Do you really want me to, M'kaiMineLove? M'kai considered for a second before his head snapped towards the blue dragon. "No. Leave me alone." Oh no. This was bad.

Cotton fluffed her frill spines as Titania arrived; chirping a pleasant greeting to the other green, though her tail flicked in brief confusion as to why the green was Chasing. Was she not also a female? But it was something she wouldn’t let bother her, she had noticed something off with her green companion during their first meeting, and surely Titania was more pleasant company that some of her obnoxious siblings, it was true. Sadly she wasn’t blue, but that didn’t stop Cotton from sending a pleasant rumbling thought toward the other female. Any Chaser was well appreciated, and welcome, though truly she preferred those with blue hides. Except firelizards. It was a sin that any firelizard could have such pretty blue hides.
She flipped her wings in surprise as another green jumped up to join her on her rock. A gift? For her? Oh why thank you! Trilling her gratitude, she daintily took the sweet from Svelte, crooning and rubbing her tiny head against the green’s larger before pulling back, and lying on the rock to take a taste of the sweet. How delicious! Yes, this surprise gift was much appreciated. At Amelia’s sudden interjection, Cotton tipped her head up, spines frilling out for a moment as she looked for the green. When she couldn’t find her, she huffed before going back to the sweet and replied to Amelia, No, no. Pretties not own, Cotton owns. Pretties have honor of being Cotton’s. Silly, silly.
So there was one who would protect her? She could have much fun with that, the only sign of her excitement as she gnawed on the hard candy, the twitching of her tail, otherwise she was prim and proper, completely still and delicately licking and gnawing at the candy; because really, she could totally pull off gnawing delicately. Even if the thing was almost as big as her head. With her bronze brother’s arrival, she gave a quick rumbling purr of delight that he would Chase her, the fruity taste on her tongue almost completely distracting her from her suitors, until Gara made his debut. Such a pretty, pretty blue! She lifted her head, tiny paws holding the candy place while she trilled happily at the blue ‘mandyr, brushing her mind against his in appreciation of his wonderful, wonderful color. It didn’t matter if he was so big, he was a wonderful color all the same! Pretty, pretty.
But before she could continue her appreciation of the lone blue among her suitors, Oberon made his appearance, she flipped her wings licking her maw not bothering to give him a reply. Although when he corralled Svelte away from herself, her spines frilled slightly at the indignation before she forced them smooth. It wouldn’t do to lose her appearance, besides had Oberon not seen her lovely figure, the beautiful stripes on her tail? No, far be it from her to be jealous of a green who was Chasing her, since that right there just proved her point. She merely tipped her head at the brown, pulling her wings tighter against her sides when he commanded her to Run. Excuse him. She’d Run when she so chose, and right now, she still had some candy to finish. So she took her time finishing it, and when she managed to find a crack to quickly break it apart into smaller bits which she proceeded to chew on one at a time, shuffling a few bits off to the side until she was done, and then hoped and glided over to each of her suitors, giving a piece of the hard candy. Svelte and Gara especially, received a croon and a rub of her tiny head against them(though with Gara it was exceptionally hilarious) and she did hope the Svelte didn't mind that Cotton shared, it would be poor manners if she didn't.
And in the meantime Rosanna was off in the corner, a weird little humming sound developing in her throat as she watched the gathering of 'mandyrs(oh dear Faranth was that A'emi's green!?), feeling the gentle pulsing in the back her mind that was usually Cotton, but now had a more alien feel as it pushed at her conscienceness almost demanding her complete and utter submission though Cotton was far too polite to demand. But it still didn't change the fact her almost cat like humming was getting louder, a twitch starting under her eye. This was ridiculous.
So she shoved the panic and shock into a little box and turned over her options. She couldn't really just go lock herself away without a partner, no matter how much she agreed with the ghost voice, because that would probably cause her a whole bunch of problems she doesn't want, an awkward situation, and not to mention she didn't have a room to lock herself in. On the other hand, she could just suck it up, get it over with and rage about it later. Not to mention the fact she would have to make winner's life hell if they were rough with her. As a matter of fact, threatening them after Cotton was caught might be a very good idea.... If she could pull herself out of Runlust long enough to do so, because really, this thing was insistent. But there was still the problem of her being in public. Now the humming turned into an irritated growl as some of the 'mandyr owners began to appear.
There was the fact that A'emi hadn't shown up, so maybe... he was still in his weyr? And really, she must go find one of her suitors, it wouldn't do for Tit-A'emi to miss the fun. ...Just scratch that entire sentence. But it still didn't change that fact that A'emi was more experienced than her in things like this, someone she knew albeit on an acquaintance level(better than the strangers showing up right now) and someone she could probably go freak out to and not get shoved at a wall. Because he was shorter, and you know. Rosa had learned to punch a while ago. Her mind short circuiting, she tried to box the Runlust away, and any defense she put up was quickly torn down by Cotton's emotions. A non experienced Candidate could hardly hope to do much against salamandyr lust could she? But she Sharding tried.
Flinging herself off her rock to go stalk around the gathering males, the lack of Kauis not really bothering because they weren't seriously on the greatest of terms though she was grateful for him saving her life and all, he was downright annoying sometimes, so it would be really awkward to bed him(ohjeez she actually just thought that, she'd better not turn into one of those girls that seduced man after man into her bed, she might just very well murder herself if she did), and apparently he had a girlfriend. And a hatchling wher. No. That's not a good mix. And another reason Cotton got a little glare. But, of course, suddenly her bad mood was lifted as the brilliant idea struck her. They thought only their salamandyrs would be doing the Chasing. Well, she would have disabuse them of that notion, and hopefully, just hopefully enough, lose most of them in the corridors of the Weyr before she made it to A'emi's weyr. Yes, she admitted, she was off to go freak out in the middle of the Chase, once again cursing the hatching that bore Cotton, and maybe the greenrider would have the answer of getting out of this without having sex. That would be great.
And her entire body relaxed, though her mind was stressed as her thinking slowly began to slip into that of a 'mandyr's, trying quite hard not to and yet eventually she'd have to give in. How annoying. She prowled around the few who had made it to her little hide away, the bag she carried slung over her shoulder because she wasn't crazy enough to leave it out in the open even if she was a bit salamandyr crazed right now, slow and steady, and though she tried not to, deliberate and sensuous. Cotton may be little miss polite, Rosa was not and the differences between 'mandyr and human were obvious. Apart from the species. For example, Rosanna could have cared less if the Chasers had finished their little tidbits(one had even been set to the side for Amelia), as long as she could get a head start on them, she would've been off, but she had to wait for little Cotton to start, that part of the lust insistent on her mind and it was thoroughly vexing her and if she ever got a dragon, it was going to have to learn how to not Fly or Chase when Rosa didn't want it to.
And so it would be a surprise to the Chasers gathered, when Rosanna moved when Cotton did, suddenly and without warning, a little bit after the other 'mandyrs had finished their tidbits. A weaving maze began between the two, Rosa heading back to the Weyr entrance to use her well earned inner map of all the twists and turns of what once was Burimyu Weyr, jumping up stairs two at a time, and actually managing to make a quick circuit to the candidate barracks to throw her bag in the Common Room(for the love of Faranth no one better touch or she would utterly murder them) before sprinting back around and taking the most confusing route possible to A'emi's weyr. Or at least here she thought his weyr was.
Cotton, had been cleaning her paws of the stickiness the fruit candy had left, thoroughly ignoring Oberon's order because who was he to order her around right now? This was her Run and he was the Chaser, it was his honor to be here as she had told Amelia and she could chase him off at anytime, something she had let him know with a rumbling warning growl when she had given him his share of the candy. Once her paws had been thoroughly cleaned, she had given a huff, flipping her wings before giving a teasing trill and was off up into the sky, gliding high up into the cliff face as she used it's maze like ledges to her advantage. One thing was for sure, being the tiniest green salamandyr known to Pern, had it's advantages and she proved them now, finding the tiniest nooks to perch on and jump from, the smallest crack a foothold for her to climb higher up to the rim of the Weyrbowl. She kept her wings tucked tightly against her slim body, aware very much so of the wind as it began to pick up, something that could carry her away instantly, but perhaps something she could also use. Now, let's see, let's see. What sort of mischief should she cause? Hers quite enjoyed mischief and it had rubbed off, perhaps give Oberon a taste of his own medicine? But not in words, oh no, for she hadn't fully forgiven that slight earlier, comparing her to Svelte though Cotton wasn't particularly vain. It was still irritating, and she aimed a conveniently placed rock back at the brown.
Rosanna for her part, barely mimicked her green's movements get, though if she passed M'kai in the corridors he received a angry hiss and an elbow in the stomach. Being compared to another green, please. It took her only a few tries of working to remember weyr assignments before she found A'emi's and managed to crash(ironically the very thing he was talking to Kyrahth earlier though she wouldn't know) into his weyr without much damage, gasping for breath, bent over to catch it hardly glancing at his current nearly nude state though her cheeks turned vaguely red(again) she kinda had bigger problems at the moment.
"Quick lock Rosa in a cupboard and hide her from the pretties," oh Faranth did that sentence actually just leave her mouth!? She was going to die from embarrassment. The only consolation was the fact she still used her name and full sentences, but even those were slipping away from her. But her panic attack was totally and humanly coherent, "This is her first Run, and I'm, I'm-m, oh Faranth I'm a virgin and whatdoIdo!? Isn't there a way to like, not have sex during this and to get them to leave mealoneandohFaranethwhatdoIDO!?"

The warm pleasantness of Cotton’s greeting earned a returning purr from Titania, but the green made no move to go closer; instead, she craned her head around to blink in quiet surprise at Svelte’s appearance. Well. A’emi would be pleased, no doubt. Titania hummed at the other green, pleasant as she watched her present her gift to Cotton, content to observe for the moment until another voice broke in and Titania blinked, half-bemused. Such a silly sort of idea, wasn’t it, if well-spoken; but anyway Cotton seemed to have that covered and Titania paid very little attention to the other Chasers congregating except for an absent croon to King for his greeting until Oberon.
Predictably, coming for the chaos.
Nevertheless Titania’s eyes went faintly blue at him, and she flicked one wing at him in greeting, watching in silence as he slipped between Svelte and Cotton, snapping at the Running green. Who did not take well to that, even if Titania was quietly impressed by her determined dignity. She brushed against Oberon’s mind as Cotton ate the candy, privately murmuring an amused There will be time to murder and create soon, dear Oberon, have patience… Not that she strictly approved of the brown’s intentions, but she was fond enough of him to allow it.
The piece of candy deposited before her by Cotton had Titania tilting her head curiously; she brushed a soft My thanks, against Cotton’s mind, although her interest in the candy was fairly nonexistent. For politeness’ sake she snapped it up neatly, licked her muzzle once, and then nestled her wings closer against her sides expectantly. She’d made her point, the Run could begin now, yes?
And at last, it did; as Cotton took off up the cliff face Titania perked up, sitting upright with paws tucked against her ribs, swaying like a snake before she threw herself into a glide, snagging her claws into the surface of the rock and sliding neatly into the crevices. Wasn’t as small length-wise as most greens but she was just as flat as them anyway, and it was with a confident grace that the female maneuvered up the cliff, stretching for better reaches and winding to pause around a small jut of rock when she had made up a decent amount of ground (or cliff, she supposed, was more accurate) to tilt her head back to plan her path further.
She seemed a part of joyous spring, quoted with quiet certainty as the green twisted upwards again, the words for Cotton only. Poetry had always been her signature. And it seemed appropriate, in any case, even with Oberon no doubt planning further chaos. In that particular moment in time, it worked.
A’emi had gotten all the way to the wardrobe, a towel clasped loosely around his waist and Kyrahth grumping at him moodily, honestly bewildered by the lack of Runlust from Titania, when the Salamandyr essentially smacked him between the eyes with it. Oh. So now it was starting. The greenrider swayed on the spot, blinking ghost images away and shaking his head sharply like a befuddled canine, and eyebrows knitting together he turned to Kyrahth, “What’d you just say…?”
I /said/, the green reiterated impatiently, That Dsoleth’s isn’t nearby, he’s down with the worm’s owner, but she went somewhere else and I can’t see them at all anymore. You wanted to know—why don’t you listen better?
“Um,” A’emi answered blankly. Processing Kyrahth was sort of going weird at the moment—Titania wasn’t hearing Kyrahth; Titania was climbing straight up a wall, why wasn’t he—? He blinked hard a few times, and then made a confused half-aborted gesture towards the door, “I should probably go find her. I mean. Find him. T’san.” The details were coming slowly. Cotton, that girl that had run into him. Svelte, which explained the T’san, and…Oberon. A’emi made a face, almost on auto-pilot, and had actually taken a step towards the door, towel slipping from his fingers, when Kyrahth made an exasperated sharp sound.
You should put /pants on/.
“Oh. Yes. That.”
And he actually had gotten his boxers on and his pants in his hands (speed-dressing, thank you very much) when the door smacked open and in tumbled a Rosa; A’emi’s mouth went half-open in surprise and Kyrahth snarled in irritation from the weyrledge, eyes narrowing on Rosa. The awkward screwed-up sentence that Rosa promptly blurted out made A’emi blink again, utterly at a loss, and the first thing that came out of his mouth was a stupid, completely useless, “What d’you have against knocking anyway?” which was followed by, because he was on a roll of useless here, “And you sure don’t go looking for one of ‘them,’ hey, breathe, I’ve seen paler tomatoes, what—”
Another, sharper surge of Chase from Titania and he stuttered over the words, huffing on the inhale, twisting instinctively to move towards Rosa and catching himself warily on the edge of wardrobe. His gaze flicked past Rosa to T’san, and he blurted, “Can you—please, fuck, I really can’t do this, Titania fucks me up so bad, bathroom’s got a lock on it, can we just—”

Well. It seemed her gift was well liked by Cotton. Perhaps that would help calm her down from being chased by nasties! Speaking of which, Titania certainly couldn't have been the one upsetting Cotton. Svelte was mighty confused by everything already, though she was used to being somewhat confused by others anyways. Everything would be much more straightforward if people learned to just tell the truth. Even her own human lied woefully! Oh he asserted he was telling the truth and often genuinely believed it but Svelte knew. She just knew.
Svelte's frill flicked upwards in surprised almost-disgust at Amelia's words when they came. Not because the sentiment was disgusting but because Svelte, contradictory green that she was, automatically believed everyone was lying. All. The. Time. So she got the opposite message out of the hidden green's words. Oddiers, Svelte commented, frustration at her own inability to speak well as well as being unable to guide that sorely mistaken green back onto a truthful, right path. Then came a bronze who decided to insult Cotton? Perhaps it was from him that she had to protect her sister?
The blue one that arrived seemed to have a more acceptable idea, though he was much too confident in winning when he planned not to do anything at all. And then there was Oberon. Who...pretty much just seemed to agree with Amelia. And then...oh? Insulting Svelte? The green could live with that though her eyes shaded between annoyance and hurt. Ood, she stated almost petulantly. He didn't have to insult her so to give Cotton a weird backhanded compliment about being the prettiest thing he'd seen! The green perked up a little as Cotton spread out the candy and gave her some as well. She quietly ate hers and then suddenly Cotton was off.
Had her attacker reappeared, after all? Svelte was off, scrambling after Cotton in concern. A concern that was beginning to rub off on T'san through the sheer intensity of the emotion. The brownrider sighed as he trailed after the now moving Rosanna. Clearly a candidate and a little freaked if he was judging right. Also, why was she heading towards their weyr? Dsoleth, please, please, please tell me A'emi is in some flightroom somewhere and not in our weyr? Well this is going to be kind of unpleasant, the brown said cheerfully, though with an undertone of annoyance as Rosa stepped into the weyr.
The brownrider hovered in the doorway with a plain look of fond exasperation when he took in A'emi's appearance. Poor guy was definitely not having it easy with Titania. T'san had vastly different issues than either of the other green owners though. Namely who the heck was he supposed to try and rescue here? Poor innocent little candidate who might potentially be a little terrorized and Svelte's emotions were urging him to protect? Or his weyrmate who he cared for a great deal and was practically begging him to save him from Titania making a bad choice for him?
With a growl he moved to A'emi and wrapped an arm around his waist to pull him closer posessively. Also, if Titania took over it would be harder for the greenrider to put force into any potential attacks without the room to do so. "Hey, candidate. We're locking ourselves in the washroom but if you have the sense to do it feel free to lock others out using the main door," he instructed Rosanna. Sorry kid but his mate takes priority even though A'emi was technically a big boy with a green dragon and could handle himself. "Or I suppose you could join us in the washroom and I could...I dunno, do something clever to keep you two apart." The last was pretty much an afterthoought tacked on as he began pulling A'emi towards their bathroom.

Gara managed a hopeful croon at Cotton's reaction. She did seem to like him, that was good. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all. It might even been fun! He purred pleasantly for her, but shrank back a little as Oberon appeared. The other male was right, Gara was doomed. Cotton may have appreciated him coming, but why would she want him when she could have a handsome brown? Oh, but she was coming his way! Gara purred louder and gratefully took the offered treat. Cotton was so kind and sweet! It was a pity he was so big and ugly, she deserved better. Gara licked happily at the treat before eating it.
Thanks pretty Cotton, he declared warmly, his gloom set aside for the moment. Gara try hard. Maybe not doomed? He bunched his legs as she got ready to move and started after her as fast as he could go. Unfortunately, that wasn't very fast. Gara's bulk made it hard to climb very quickly and his wings weren't useful for more than little boosts to help him get higher. Still, he tried his best to keep up, constantly checking to see where Cotton was. Goodness it was confusing with all these other greens around!
T'ke was almost completely involved in Gara now, though at least his mishaps in Garaeth's chases kept him from breaking his limbs this time. He scrambled around after Rosanna in an awkward, gangly manner not unlike his salamandyr was doing on the cliff face. Goodness, but she was giving quite a chase! He would give up though, not when Gara was still in the game. He followed her to A'emi's weyr, but stopped hesitantly outside. The human part of him knew that Rosanna didn't really want him to follow. What should he do? Two of the other males were already inside.

Amelia found Oberon’s form as soon as the brown’s mindvoice touched her’s. Ah. Clutchbrother. At first, she wasn’t going to respond to him. Why should she? Then she thought better of it and purred happily into her brown brother’s mind. Can manage, brotherlove. The words were silky soft, and also deadly in their accuracy. If anyone tried to take the green, no matter where she was, she could be on them before the offender could think about it. She didn’t doubt her ability to be faster than her ochre colored sibling. He wasn’t going to lure her out that easily.
And neither was Cotton, for that matter. Mel’s head flicked to the green’s general direction when she spoke. But she said nothing to the green. Nothing at all. If she was that delusional, than she needed Amelia’s protection more than ever. Anytime a male caught you, you were sullied…owned for all eternity…dirty and disgusting. Why couldn’t she see that? Oh it pained her to have to feel that this freen thought that she could ever come out on top. Males were bigger, males were mean.
She felt her hide twitch when Cotton gave attention to each of her suitors. What was taking her so long? Why didn’t she just run and get it over with. Amelia hated being in one spot for too long. She longed to stalk through the grasses like the mighty hunter she was, but any stray movement would attract attention…something she didn’t want or need right now.
When she did move, Amelia watched her with disapproval. The cliff face itself posed very little problem for the slender, silvery green salamandyr. What proved a problem was the fact that there weren’t very many hiding places on the cliff face. Sure, there were nooks and crannies, but navigating them, while trying to stay hidden and keep Cotton in a position where she could easily protect her would be a problem. So, Amelia realized that she had to drop one of them. So, almost as soon as Cotton ran, Amelia darted from her hiding spot. Shimmering silvery hide was revealed as she raced right after the green. She was in full view of the males, including Oberon, but she put them out of her mind for the moment, veering widely on the chase, around Cotton. Hopefully, she’d be farther away so the males would forget about her in their lust. Stupid males they really were, can be totally confused and crazed whenever a silly little green flicked her tail. Stupid, silly brotherlovemine. She purred into Oberon’s mind. Because let’s face it, he’d probably already be lost in his flightlust, focused solely on Cotton.
GOD DAMN IT! Gus’ mind screamed when he realized where the signature was leading him. Amelia was chasing some green salamandyr, intent on protecting her from only Faranth knows what, and here he was, with a growing desire to protect whatever unfortunate human owned the green. He wanted to turn around and go back to head, but his salamandyr’s presence was strong, blinding him to anything else. Nearly growling, the weyrling made his way after the girl, his pace somewhat slower than T’ke’s. He made it to the weyr when the kid was standing outside. With little thought to the bluerider, Gus brushed past him, towards the weyr. Since no one had thought to close the door yet, Gus stomped into the weyr, eyes falling on Rosa. Ah. Here she was. A’emi and T’san were promptly ignored. “ We need to get this door shut and locked.” He said, turning to the door and eyeing T’ke plaintively before moving to close the door. He couldn’t let the dirties get the girl. At the same time, he moved to grab the girl around the waist. " Don't worry." He told her if he upset her by grabbing for her. " 'm just trying to help you." His words were said a bit gruffly and he eyed her, some of his hair in his eyes. " Yer not my type anyway." He grinned mischievously at the candidate.
What happened to his quiet night in?
King took the greeting and the candy with a gracious purr. Cotton hadn’t made a move to rub against him like she had the green and the silly little blue, but as she passed, he did make a move to brush his tail along her length. So lovely, like the sun. He purred at her, licking his candy. Lovelier, even! Look sister dear, the sun is afraid of your lovely, lovely glow. It hides! King knew a little flattery could take him far, especially since his sister seem biased to the other chasers. He’d really have to try his hardest.
Oberon was really his only competition in his mind. Gara was the right color, but he was a blue, and he was so fat. Finishing his candy, he never took his eyes off of his sister. He was here for her, and her alone. Everyone else was given little attention, aside from Titania. Now that was a green he liked. Too bad she never ran…and if she did run, she certainly wouldn’t choose a male. Still, if she ever did run, he wouldn’t be able to help himself.
Thoughts of this were pushed out of his mind when Cotton took off. Licking his paws once more, he darted after Titania, moving his sinuous body up the cliff face. He moved a little awkwardly. King didn’t traverse cliff faces very often at all, but he had lust on the brain, and green in his eyes. This would be a run to remember.

Good, but not great. There was some disagreement, but no one was angry yet, no one fighting. No ichor had been spilled. Not good enough. Time to turn it up a notch.
Oberon flicked the bit of treat away when Cotton presented it, slinking towards the green. He was tempted to remind her that she was supposed to run, but settled for Stupid, ugly green, doonit wrong, instead. He made a point to broadcast, catching all the suitors and possibly some of the humans with his sing-song mental voice. Titania was ignored, obviously all the time was the best time to cause murder and change, or whatever, but she knew that. No reason to tell her. Svelte, though... interesting little pest. She might be more useful than anyone. Once again not bothering to shield his mindvoice, he sang at everyone, Oh yes, Svelte most beautieus, Cotton ugly, fat. Hence candies. Who need candies? Svelte oh so smart to give away. Svelte running? Oberon quickly leave Cotton behind, chase Svelte instead. Even 'melia, she pretty too, shiny silver. Although confused about definition of stupid, but no matter. 'melia running? Titania running?
By then they were off, scampering up the cliff face. Oberon couldn't really glide, but that meant he was very, very used to climbing, and the cracks that Cotton herself used were no challenge for the Brown. Of completely average size for his color, he was neither at an advantage nor a disadvantage, but practice paid off, and getting to the people he wanted to antagonize was quite important. Digging the claws of one paw into a crevice, he swung out sideways when Cotton kicked the rock his direction, fluttering transparent wings to keep himself attached to the cliff face before continuing upwards at top speed. Too easy, he hummed, then sang, That all Cotton got? As stupid as ugly. Run, greenie, run! Oberon always wins in the end.
M'kai realized his hand was bleeding. More importantly, his hand was bleeding because his teeth were still buried in it, in the fleshy curve between thumb and forefinger. His fingers curled back around, digging into his chin, as his left hand did its best to shred the flesh of his thigh. But with pain came clarity, beating back the fire of Oberon's... lust? No, it wasn't really lust, M'kai realized now. It was passion, but it wasn't passion for Cotton, not like when Futh chased and the only thing in M'kai's head was how beautiful A'emi was. The female was. Oops. No, back to the subject: Oberon just wanted everyone else to be angry, to fight. Cotton was secondary to that. Sure, he'd take her if he could, but really the longer the run went on the better. More chances for damage.
Here M'kai was, though, in the halls, headed for who knew where. How he'd gotten here was as much a mystery as his destination, but as he left the stairs down to the third ring, he figured it out. A'emi's weyr. No, that wasn't right, A'emi lived with T'san now. T'san's weyr. Crap. This seriously couldn't get any worse. The only green Oberon wasn't actively antagonizing was Titania, and Svelte - so far the target of most of Oberon's evilness - belonged to T'san, and M'kai was smart enough, and conscious enough, to know that that spelled certain disaster. Luckily, by the time he burst into the weyr both T'san and A'emi were nowhere to be found. (Had Amelia/A'ust been trying to close him and T'ke out? Oh well, not fast enough! Oberon hauled Gara in behind him, intent on drama, before M'kai gained control again.) Fine. Good. Taking a deep breath, M'kai balled his hands into fists, digging a fingernail into the bitemark. His head was clear enough, although Oberon's desire for madness made M'kai grind his teeth together. Grabbing the younger, smaller A'ust by the collar, M'kai aimed to dislodge the weyrling, pulling him off Rosa. If M'kai was able to shove him towards the door, he would, but either way he growled, "Get out. Your dragon's too young. I've got her, I'm not Oberon." Yet. "Anyway, I can't sleep with another candidate, so I'm safe." Urgh. Classy.

Cotton was fast, covering distance in almost record time, finding large enough ledges to use her hind legs to jump at times, and ignoring the slights of Oberon though he was starting to grate on her nerves more and more. When Titania sent the poetry drifting to her mind, she purred with satisfaction sending her own brush of thanks back, a special nudge for such a wonderful green only tinged by slight disappointment that her green suitor was not blue, but you win some and lose some. Svelte was sent a concerned nudge, confusion apparent in Cotton's mind at the idea that she was being attacked. How silly, and how wrong that was. She brushed her mind comfortingly against the other green's mind, Cotton was perfectly fine she wasn't being attacked. And then she jumped again, this time she had reached the top of the cliff, jumping outward and away, diving down to land briefly on Oberon's back. You want ichor? Fine. If the brown didn't quickly shake her off, he would find her claws digging into his back as she pushed off, hissing in thorough annoyance at the brown and taking parts of his hide with her, her spines frilling out in warning that next time she wouldn't be so nice. Jumping from Oberon's back, she spread her wings, crooning to Gara as she flicked her tail in his direction, encouraging her little blue. Well. Large blue, but that endearment didn't sit all that well with her.
As she glided across the Bowl, catching the gentle air currents to take herself higher before she dropped again, not bothering to fight against the stronger wind currents when they shoved her quickly to the side. It only made the Run more fun, the Chasers that could get into the air having to work harder to keep up with the green. She sent her clutchbrother a brushing thought, Thank you brothermine. Before she managed to reach another cliff face. She ran down the face, this time instead of going up she was heading down toward the ground and when she reached it she was suddenly gone into what little foliage littering the ground, the light from the sun completely gone from the Weyrbowl now and merely leaving a strip of lighter blue in the sky. Almost done pretties, pretties.
Rosanna shuddered, suddenly seeing A'emi as Titania and granted Cotton wasn't all that interested in another green, it didn't stop her from suddenly humming gratitude at the other green for a compliment A'emi totally hadn't repeated. And with a quick hiss she shoved away the feel of losing herself completely to the 'mandyr.
"Unfortunately, it isn't my choice," Rosa hissed, eying T'san warily as he moved his way over to A'emi, her heart fluttering slightly as her only sense of security was tugged away. She would have followed the pair into the washroom(regardless of the awkwardness sure to ensue), if the brownweryling hadn't grabbed her arm. She clicked her teeth in annoyance, glowering that the green(for indeed it was the invisible green that had grabbed her waist, and indeed she had been pulled back into Cotton's awareness without knowledge) that had grabbed her, the annoying humming beginning in her throat once again.
"Well that's good, because I don't know if I want someone as rude as you," she purred, grinning maliciously at the weyrling not bothering to strain away from him at the moment. She'd find some other way later to get out of his grip. She glanced nervously at Titania, her only hope in this mess. It was strange, how the differences in personalities were coming at between the pair. Cotton; so sweet, mischievous and confident. Rosa; secretive, playful and insecure.
Unfortunately the next time Rosanna glanced over, Titania was gone, and Oberon was bursting into the room(her candidatemaster!?) and whether he managed to dislodge the weyrling from her or not, she made her escape moving over(but not before hissing at M'kai and trying to shove the annoyance off to the side, hopefully leaving scratches on him) to the one person who hadn't yet irritated or frightened her out of her mind(but part of that was probably Cotton's influence), and grabbed his arm hiding behind the taller man, purring. "Little blue..."
[So this needs to be finished today, I'll be posting again at 9:00pm and if you haven't posted by then or had the time to, I'll have to skip sorry loves. ;x; If no one posts by then, I'll simple edit.]

He saw the girl looking away from him, even though he had a hold of her. He wasn’t going to hurt her, didn’t ever want to hurt her. She was so pretty and lovely, and her glow was so bright. Why did she want to be hurt? Gus shook his head, trying to fight against Amelia…but she was so strong…so very strong. He would lower himself, his back to the shut door…and he let go of her arm only to grab her gently by the shoulders, trying to get her to look at him. “ Can’t you see? Why can’t you see it? Sh…” And he fought with the images flashing over his mind as the run progressed. Green salamandyr…no…man…greenrider…it didn’t matter. “ He isn’t going to help you. None of them are going to help you but me. I’m the only chance you have…not to have sex with someone. I only want to help you. I only want to protect you. Why can’t you see?” His voice got more desperate by the minute, and his focus totally left the door, just long enough for M’kai to come barging in. Gus stood up in an instant, standing between Oberon…M’kai, and Rosa. “ No!” He said loudly.
M’kai grabbed him and slung him towards the door…away from Rosa. Au’st panicked, eyes narrowing at the brown. “ Stupid, stupid brothermine.” He hissed…T’ke completely forgotten at the moment. “ Can’t you see? You can’t fight it. This close to her? He’ll drown your mind…make you forget who you are.” It was already happening to him. “ I don’t want to sleep with her. I just want to protect her. Protect her from you, and the other dirties…because it will happen. You’ll want to sleep with her.” Gaze was thrown towards the washroom door. “ Because that’s what you do. That’s what you all do. Stupid, stupid males. You can’t see. Can’t control yourself. I don’t know why you try.”
Then Rosa darted away, and Gus turned, watching her hide behind T’ke. “ No…no…” He was breathless. She didn’t know what she was doing. He was going to hurt her. They were all going to hurt her. He didn’t understand why she didn’t want her help. All she wanted to do was protect her. “ Cotton…” He said slowly. Quickly, he moved over, hoping to push T’ke aside a little brusquely. Likely, however, T’ke would resist a little. So Au’st would try to remove the boy in any way he could so he could look at Rosa…but he wouldn’t touch her. He was trying desperately to appeal to any part of Rosa still in there, “ Come with me. Please. I will protect you. She’s in my brain, Amelia is. She needs me to save you from the males.” He wasn’t going to grab at her anymore. He was just going to fight until he got what he wanted.
Amelia powered on after Cotton, her eyes not on the green, but on the other chasers. What was she going to do? She didn’t have the advantage of surprise anymore, but she could still be a little unpredictable. Cotton made a move at Oberon, and suddenly, she saw what it was she needed to do! Bunching her lithe frame up, Amelia waited until Cotton cleared Oberon before she struck. Like a little rocket, she threw herself at Oberon…only trying to graze his side, claws raking down his side and pushing him to the side to get to her real target.
Gara.
Hissing madly, she would attempt to attach herself to the blue. So, so dirty! She hissed in a rage. You only want to hurt Cotton, you only want to dirty her. You want to make her bad…bad. Bad like you! She was much smaller than Gara, but she would scratch and hiss and bite and rip at any part of him that she could, eyes glazing over with burning red. Whatever happened, she would look up at Cotton, eyes softening a little Come with me. I will save you from stupid stupids. That was said privately to the other green, her eyes pleading. Why couldn’t she see?
King was surprised when Cotton threw the rock at Oberon, then attacked the brown, eyes widening in alarm. That could mean only one thing though…that the stupid brown had somehow offended his dear, dear sister. He hissed at Oberon, flexing his claws in the rock before darting away. He wanted to rip the brown apart for hurting his perfect sibling, but he knew violence wasn’t the answer…it would only end up badly. He had to focus on Cotton now, and that was easy when she spoke into his mind. He crooned lovingly to her, brushing her mind affectionately. He loved her so, as a sister and as a gorgeous green. No matter what, I will always love you. He purred, the words lovingly brushed against her mind. It didn’t matter who she chose today, even if it wasn’t him.
She was his sister, and nothing could make him not love her. He wanted to free her to choose whoever she wanted…even if it wasn’t him.
He would croon again as she took flight and spread his large wings. It was more difficult for him with his bigger bulk, but he forgot all about the other chasers, the scuffles behind him to glide along with Cotton. He was considerably lower, and smacked unceremoniously into the cliff. Grabbing hold of the rock, he righted himself and immediately looked for Cotton. He saw her tail disappear into the foliage below, and he was after her like a little rocket. Forget all this. She was all that mattered.

Poor Gara wasn't sure what was happening. Weren't they all here to play with the lovely Cotton? Why were they others fighting so much? It would all come to sadness and horror in the end he thought. Doom, he moaned at Oberon. All doom. Yet Cotton was his main focus even now and she still like him didn't she? She didn't seem to mind how clumsy he was. Feeling a little more confidant, Gara made to jump from his ledge after her. He wasn't a good glider, but he would try for her sake.
Something small and green latched onto him just as he leaped. Pain ripped into his side. His wings shook and started to buckle as he twisted his head in vain to see who had him. It couldn't be Cotton, she was too kind to be so violent. Amelia's angry voice rang in his head, and Gara's eyes dropped with sadness. Why so much hate for him? No one ever loved him in the end. He was too big. He was too clumsy. He was too ugly. Gara doomed, he cried in sorrow. He kicked a little with his limbs to dislodge his passenger, but not hurt her. He didn't want to cause more pain and he probably deserved what he was getting. No love Gara. Bring doom. DOOOOM!
Their hap hazard flight ended as Gara flopped in an exhausted heap in the leaves. Where was Cotton? Did she hate him too? He was a worthless chaser after all. He couldn't even glide straight. He tried to find her nearby, but there was so much green. The big blue's head sank sadly. Amelia was right. He should just go home.
T'ke squeaked a little in surprise as M'kai grabbed his hand. He tried to protest, but too much of him actually want to see Rosanna so he let himself be dragged inside. What was the other male doing? That wasn't right at all! The next few things happened too fast for him to react to as M'kai and Au'st got into a scuffle with each other. Before T'ke could register what was happening, Rosanna had his arm. He smiled hesitantly at her, letting her use him as a shield. Au'st was coming back though, and T'ke braced himself as firmly as he could. He was not letting anyone get to Rosanna unless she wanted them too, and that included him. Unfortunately, Au'st pushed him the same time Amelia went for Gara. The movement combined with the pain nearly caused T'ke to topple over. He clutched his stomach and looked quite green, but still tried his best to stand between the two. Gara still wanted Cotton, and T'ke wouldn't back down until he did.
