Anusha has light brown hair that waves slightly and hangs to just past her shoulders. It is often pulled back when she is working but allowed to hang down for casual wear. It is soft and parts on the left side of her head with the right side hanging slightly in her eyes. It is cut at an angle to frame her face. Anusha's face is heart shaped with a narrow-set mouth and average eyes that rest on the sides of a straight nose. Her eyes are a dull hazel colour with a dark ring around the iris. The outer part of the iris just inside the dark ring is often grey or a dark blue but can sometimes look like it's brown or a dark dull amber. Her skin has a pale complexion that blushes slightly across her nose and cheeks.
This girl is tall, standing at 5'10" with a decidedly feminine frame. Her shoulders slope slightly but keep themselves straight enough to be useful. Her arms are thin with insignificant muscling expected for a girl. Her hands are small with short fingers that have soft calluses from light work. A callus on her left hand is evidence from writing and drawing, frequently. Anusha's hips are the beginning of long legs used to running fast through stone halls. However her right ankle looks slightly larger than her left ankle due to being twisted more than once. Her feet are small and able to move quickly.
Personality:
She's bold, no doubt about it. Anusha learned quickly that men often don't listen to women. Partly because women tend to tell details before reaching anything important. To make herself heard she is quick and to the point. Due to her life out of her mother's eye she didn't grow a fondness for girlie things like dresses and parties. She did learn that you get what you want through work and that all work leads to something. The result is that she puts her all into whatever task she is given and is devoted to getting the job done and getting it done right. Though she does have the draw back that she gets frustrated easily. If she is interrupted while she's working she can have a sharp tongue and sharp attitude to match and will often snap at whomever has disturbed her work.
Anusha has a knack for learning and finds enjoyment in learning something new. If she is confronted with a task she doesn't posses the knowledge to complete she will find someone who does and get them to show her how to do it. Because of this she has learned the basics of baking, weaving and first aid. Knives are sharp for a reason and fire is very hot. Also to credit to her love for learning, Anusha has learned the ways of leading people to some degree due to paying attention to how the Head Cook handled the kitchen to keep everyone with the rhythm of the day. If there is no pattern people loose the rhythm and nothing is done on time.
Order is something this girl has become very fond of and her temper has lead to her being too bold with people when they mess up the order. This has earned her a few smackings for a bladed tongue and she had learned to dull her words and speak down to people in a polite way so they do not realize they are being both directed and insulted at the same time. Patience is a virtue she learned from Gonan, but like clothes it can wear thin and needs time to be mended.
History:
2992 - 3004[/u]
Her parents hailed from two different places. Her mother from Blossom Hold, her father from a cothold that rested inland from the coast. How they both wound up in Selenitas Hold some may never know. Anusha was the fifth born out of seven and second daughter out of three in the turn 2992. Her father mostly ignored her and the rest of the children save for the eldest son and the strongest son (the third born) to train them in the family craft of blacksmithing. Her mother pampered the eldest daughter in the hopes of her marrying someone of the higher class. Most of Anusha's childhood consisted of working in the kitchens or doing odd jobs around the hold to occupy her mind. She remained stoic from a lack of a solid parental figure. Her ability to form friendships suffered from this so her closest friend came from her brother Ramen.
The age difference between Anusha and Ramen was only one turn so their closeness in age only helped their closeness as friends and siblings. They remained thick-as-thieves all through their childhood. When she was 12 turns-old her talent with the stylus was discovered and a records keeper of the hold set her to work.
3005 - 3008[/u]
Thus, her teenage years were spent in the musty records vaults tending hides and re-recording old records before they faded unto oblivion. Much of the outside world's happenings were lost to her during this time. The only time she heard of the more current events was when her mentor and father-figure Gonan returned from somewhere and told her news. He confided much in her when his mind wearied from the troubles of the world, however, this was not often and their conversations mainly consisted of just that, conversation. Life like this was boring, however, and her restlessness was again put to work. This was the first time in four turns, Anusha was sixteen turns at this point, she received the brunt of raw information and not second-hand news from Gonan. The first snippet of news she heard was that the senior weyrwoman was dead and that Gold Aslath had taken her place. Two turns ago when she had written down the Impression she had thought almost nothing of it. Now she couldn't help but wonder what this would mean for everyone. While she was helping keep records she was running messages when something was needed urgently and no one else was available or an event was happening else where that need to be recorded for future referencing.
3009 - 3012[/u]
The next four turns would be very busy and trying turns for Anusha. She discovered her eldest brother had been Searched and killed in the war that raged between the Northern Weyrs. This event seemed to overshadow the change in tithes and the more relaxed demeanors of the Holders. Though she was not afflicted very deeply by this her father began looking to the other children to replace him under her other brother. When he chose Ramen to take their brother's place Anusha was taking records at Selenitas Weyr. Upon returning to the Hold she was devastated. Ramen having to take up the blacksmithing craft meant they would spend more time apart and that, in a sense, she had lost her best friend.
As she spent more time in the Weyr she began to really miss her life in the records room talking with Gonan. Running messages around like a wingless fire-lizard was the only thing to keep her mind busy until the Weyrling Massacre. The massacre was only the beginning of recording a tragic turn.
Among helping record events that she guessed would have had Gonan confiding in her more than ever she heard scant news of Ramen. Her family had plummeted into a mess when she again returned to the Hold. Her eldest sister had run off with a man of lesser esteem than was wanted and Anusha's other sister had already left to become a weaver. Her mother turned to her as her last hope of having a daughter marry a man of the higher class and possibly raise the status of the family as a whole. Soon her mother was adamant in schooling her in the ways of society. Gone were the quiet days in the records vault and those she sorely missed. Anusha became more involved in the world and attended all events from Gathers to parties and learned of everything, almost as it happened though she no longer wrote it down. Much like how Gonan had said (time never stands still, that's why we write it down while it's fresh in our minds) time moved on to reach the event that seemed to change everything. When news got around that the weyrwoman was dead, the sadness was almost tangible. Again the uncertainty of how life would change was in the air.
This truly made Anusha sad, as it did everyone else. Only three turns had passed since the general populace had seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Only three turns since the previous weyrwoman had died. The stress Anusha felt was only greatened by the event that was the bane of her mother's life.
Anusha was Searched.
3013 - 3014[/u]
Again she was disturbed by an upheaval in her life and she was upset and nervous that she would be leaving those she loved behind, Gonan and Ramen, and going to a place only recently attacked and suffering losses. A place she could possibly be killed young. The only peace she drew from being shifted once again was that she had been there before. Though this time it was more permanent.
However, she didn't know what permanent meant at that time. Upon her arrival she began living life as a candidate. This life she found to be rather amusing. Lessons were punctuated by the antics of the boys in the class and on one occasion, said boys decided to dress as girls. Not to miss out on the fun, Anusha deigned to act like one of the boys.
The Candidatemaster Emoyan was not amused by this and assigned her latrine duty. Anusha was not amused by this but sucked it up anyway and got help from Rusahre anyway.
Not too long after that escapade, the eggs began hatching...in the dead of night. She missed watching the first hatchlings break shell as she noticed her brother, Ramen, was on the sands. Her attention was then torn between watching the hatchlings and watching Ramen until he Impressed and walked away. This allowed her to put her full attention on the eggs.
The more the hatchlings Impressed, the more dismayed she became. She watched as two hatchlings, namely a green and the gold, climbed the Stands. She was a little disappointed but was then pulled back by a voice in her head. looking back she found a little, spindly green tangled up in herself.
Instead of Candidate lessons, she would now have to contend with Weyrling lessons.
Weyrling lessons weren’t all that bad. It called for frequent trips to the beach so that Minth could improve her coordination and effectively allowed for Anusha to have time to just herself. As Minth grew her coordination got better to the point of not being a concern at all.
Two points of concern in the future, however, were the poisoning of the Selenitas River and the attack that followed in the same turn. Being a weyrling able to fly, Minth helped evacuate the hatching sands during the attack to none other than her favourite place: the beach. It was simple for her, having been to the place so frequently. She has adapted to constant threats from the north, and has tried her best to remain in the loop of things.
With news frequently bad, the weyr looked to a series of Rising greens. Eventually, it was Minth’s turn to fly, and fly she did. In her maiden Flight she was caught by the bronze Mavenath (who force-caught her in her second Flight to prevent northern rivals from winning).
3015 - 3018[/u]
The next turn, terror ripped through the weyr as it was attacked by Wasteland riders. If Minth hadn’t been unable to escape (and being green, not a target anyway), she would have. However, both were displeased and saddened by the exile of other weyrmembers. Anusha was plagued by not knowing if her brother, the bronzerider R’men, had lived or not and she took comfort in still having her green dragon. Things of 3015 were tense, with the mingling of dragonriders, if uneventful until the culling of the hatchlings. The tension was suddenly able to be cut with a knife.
As a wingrider under the new order, Anusha and Minth were added to the increased patrols. Things were, again, uneventful for the pair, especially since they chose not to attend the Gather held at Hyphen Hold. It was only when the patrol caught the theft of tithes by the discovered rival Burimyu that she discovered her brother alive. Then, she had to fight him or risk punishment. The effort was half-hearted and insincere on the green pair’s part, unable to rend the flesh of friends with one’s own teeth and talons. They somehow escaped punishment.
Ironically, not much time had passed before a new focus of attention came in the form of a devastating Earthquake. While Anusha and Minth were mostly unscathed (with Minth requiring a minor amputation on her tail), there were deaths and injuries. It was then that the weyrs merged and the two could see old friends again, this time without orders to kill them (that they wouldn’t follow anyway). Life was quiet then, save for an altercation between the whers and a creature that was assumed to have killed the goldrider Meira and flying with Benden wings as the weyr made a stand in the war.
3019 - 3023[/u]
Flying with Benden wings gave Minth new life. She met new friends and Anusha privately sought petty revenge for the death of old ones. The weakening of Fort forces was gradual, and the green pair were not present for the final fall of the enemy leader, but felt a weight lift. They had not been in the war for long, but finally something felt like it had finally been settled. The pair’s absence was attributed the Minth rising in a mating Flight and being caught by the albino Llketh of Er‘ani. Since the green pair often fought in border skirmishes, they had periods of a lack of activity which cause it to slip Anusha’s mind to pass between, and once her pregnancy was discovered (a shock to her and her dragon), the green refused to travel between until the birth of Easrian in 3020. Thus, the last months of the war for Anusha were spent mired with child and then as a mother.
With the Summit of leaders placing bans on the weyrs, the green was left in a state of discomfort but she ignored them and simply adjusted. She had never been in a position of control, anyway, so why get fussy when yet another rule change was being made on her? Besides, Minth quite liked Her’s hatchling and was more than happy to play the role of “Mama Minth”, even with tensions seeming to underlie in the weyr and trials coming up to select a Weyrleader.

Appearance: A quick look at Minth would have a person writing her off as entirely useless. She is a spindly creature, large for a green but so thin and spidery that she looks quite strange. Most of her body is her long limbs. Long forelegs that nearly match her hindlegs in length, if not in strength. Long and thin hindlegs support surprisingly muscular, though not bulky, hindquarters, and a long and very slender, flexible tail will wrap around anything in the vicinity with surprising strength. Minth looks as though someone took a much, much smaller green and pulled at all of her extremities, stretching her out into a creature that is all angles and limbs. Surprisingly, though, she does not look frail. Her frame is supported by good, strong muscle, which she seems quite able to use.
Minth’s hide seems somewhat washed out in color, perhaps faded by the same cosmic ‘stretching’ that gave her the long and spindly frame. It is a bright and vivid yellow-tinted green that has become slightly faded, like clothing washed just a few too many times. The color looks far from unhealthy, though, and it is dotted by spots of a brighter shade of the same color, the freckles sprinkled delicately all over her backside. Her face is the same startling right shade, and there is a distinct line just behind her eye that separates her bright face from her washed-out body, giving the appearance that she wears a comical sort of mask. A strange attribute, to be sure, but an adorable one. Minth is far from ugly. Simply… strange.
Further, the tip of her tail is oddly shaped in accordance with typical Pern dragon anatomy. In the Earthquake of 3017, a large chunk of rock fell on her tail causing one of the forks to need to be amputated. Instead of a forked tail, she now has a straight tail with a small bump being the only remnant of the other side of the fork.
As a weyrling, coordination will be something that completely eludes Minth. Her long legs and tail will be difficult to control and use to the best of their capacities, and she may fall behind without hard work, extra practice, and encouragement. However, once she stops growing and fills out, she will find herself in a completely different situation, able to her flexible, skinny body with a great amount of dexterity if she practices. She will probably find scaling rocky cliffs on all fours to be quite easy, and in the air, opposing dragons would be advised to avoid her long legs and sharp foreclaws. She will be able to swipe and grab with the best of them, and very few creatures her size can match her reach.
Personality: Minth is energy, enthusiasm, and playfulness to the max. Seriousness does not sit well with her on most occasions, and she can most often be found throwing her spindly body into some sort of game. She greatly enjoys tag, hide-and-seek, and any game that will help her improve her control of her limbs and give her time to socialize. Minth can not function at her best when completely alone. She requires a group presence and much encouragement to learn. This does not mean that she need be the center of attention, for she is not so arrogant nor so demanding. No, she is content to be at the fringe of the group, so long as she feels accepted, valued, and suitably encouraged to do her very best. One need only to ask for her to throw in every ounce of effort she possesses to some task.
Unlike her favored clutchbrother Shith, however, Minth’s energy can be channeled into productive pathways. Minth is no genius but is extremely inventive when it comes to problem-solving, usually staring at an obstacle for several minutes before puzzling her way around it. She is not above the use of tools or other dragons in order to obtain a solution. Sure, her solutions can be a bit outrageous, but a little maturity and some experience will help her channel that energetic creativity into more useful areas. Regardless, there is no denying Minth’s clever nature, and she is most upset when others completely ignore her attempts at problem solving. All she wants is a chance, see? And don’t let her get bored; you never know what ‘solution’ she might cook up to that problem.
Minth adores Hers and will probably be very dependent on her, especially early in weyrlinghood when she is at her clumsiness. She enjoys physical contact and will probably try to crawl into Hers’ cot for as long as she can get away with it, not liking the feeling of being left alone for too long. She adores spending time with friends and will happily snooze alongside or play with anyone who cares to spend time with her. Mean creatures aren’t allowed; they spoil the mood and make her sad. While she may find a long-term mate, it is more likely that she will have a selection of males from which she chooses whichever one strikes her fancy at that moment, with that entourage of males evolving along with her personality as she grows.

Appearance: This salamandyr is exceptionally small, even for a white of its species. It can easily go unnoticed, making it the ideal spy, as it is small enough to it into the smallest of hiding spots that most wouldn’t think to check. While that is all fairly normal, the shape of this salamandyr is definitely not. While all of the creatures are rather flat looking, this one looks as though someone had dropped a brick on it, squishing it extremely flat. Despite it’s width, this little creature is quite thin and even the slightest bit of food will cause an odd sort of bulge to protrude. It’s legs however are completely normal, giving it an odd look as it scurries about on its various adventures. If not for the legs, it would look more like a piece of paper floating about than an actual pet and don’t be surprised if some poor candidate or weyrling doing archiving mistakes it as such, for it is an easy mistake to make.
As far as coloring goes, this little salamandyr is just like any other white - at least on first glance. The color is almost completely unbroken, over the frill, down the back, covering odd legs and tail evenly. However, unique to this one is that there’s a very distinct off-white coloration down the creature’s back like tribal banding, and when hit by the light, the off-white appears almost like an icy blue. This can lead to the little salamandyr being interpreted as male, and indeed its bonded will probably refer to it as such. The same shade of blue-highlighted off-white spreads over the wing sails, adding originality to an otherwise bland appearance. When flying, this salamandyr most assuredly sparkles - almost as if he were metallic!
Personality: Perhaps the only salamandyr white to ever hatch with a good demeanor, this little creature is definable by the word ‘enthusiastic.’ He’s always very excited, eager to help, and will go out of his way to aid others, even those he doesn’t look to. Given this tendency, it falls to reason that this salamandyr will be extraordinarily popular. He has a habit of flying up to strangers and tapping them on the shoulder, but quick movement startles him and he’ll often dart above their heads in fright. Never fear though, once he gets over his easily-startled demeanor, he’s a very earnest companion who will go out of his way to make friends, even going so far as to return dropped objects (provided he can carry them) or relay messages for people who ask him nicely. There’s not a creature on Pern he doesn’t like, either - which means that it will be frequent that he wanders up to others.
But as before stated: He’s easily startled. Small things may send this little guy between until he comes creeping back. Like all white salamandyrs, he can’t talk, and he doesn’t even chirp or chatter though he’s able to do so. He’s totally mute. What he can and does do is send images, often more vibrantly colored than necessary. His mindmate will quickly learn that the more vivid the image is, the more enthusiastic her salamandyr happens to be. People he likes will often be pictured with disproportionate colors of brighter shades to emphasize his fondness, and sometimes he can send his images too frantically for his bonded to understand. When he is misunderstood, he often flails, which can be comical given his longer legs, and he’s known for half-dropping out of the air in one of these fits. His will have to make care to keep him from half-panicking in confusion!

Appearance: This little girl is a smooth Olive color with yellow-green highlights that are more yellow than green accenting her finer points. Though she is not a very attractive color, she wears it well with a smooth, healthy hide. Almost making it a pretty color. She is a well filled out little lady, with just enough muscle and just enough padding to make her the just right mix to be proportional and well built. She has decent power for a green, but never loses that distinctive feminine shape.
Her wings are broad and deep both, giving her absolutely awesome lift, and with practice they even give her an edge on agility from air current manipulation. Her tail is very slightly longer than it ought to be to match the rest of her, but all the better to steer through the air with skill and dexterity. Her legs are conversely somewhat shorter than they might have been, giving her an odd looking slinking gait when she walks. But it doesn't stop her from traveling across the ground if she takes a notion to.
Personality: She is a very nervous looking little flitter, always trembly, and always looking absolutely terrified of everything. It would be a mistake to assume she is terrified, however. Because she is far from it. She is just highstrung with lots of energy ... sometimes maliciously bottled up into those trembles. While still most of the time, she is actually fearless. She watches everything with that wide eyed, startled gaze, and when the time is right she explodes with all that energy released - she can be terrifying in and of herself.
She is also a biter ... if someone handles her in a fashion that she does not like, she is not at all shy at snapping out with viper-like speeds to draw blood ... or remove chunks. To make matters worse, she's got a set of serious teeth that are razor sharp concealed in her little mouth. She will pull her bites only for her person, but that does not mean they won't get bit ... or won't get blood drawn. They just won't lose bits of flesh to it. Thankfully, her aggressive biting nature doesn't linger long - she won't keep biting after she's been let go, instead slinking away to go and stare accusingly at the culprit as if they will never be forgiven.
