Name: R’men (formerly Ramen)
Age: 32
---July 2991
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Bronzerider
Mother: Anavey
Father: Roshen
Siblings: Anusha of Green Minth (and 5 others)
Children: Valerian - born 3019
Physical Appearance:
R'men has dark hair that is cropped short and often holds the appearance of being slightly mussed up since he really doesn't care how it looks as long as it doesn't look bad. Occasionally it can be allowed to grow to a medium length but it is mostly kept short and out of his eyes. His eyes are a steely grey and are set at an average width on his face. However, his nose is a little short. Like his sister, R'men has a narrow-set mouth and a pale complexion though his is slightly darker and tans easily.
Oddly enough R'men is a tiny bit shorter than his sister, standing at a height of 5'8". He has a slight frame with broad shoulders. He is lightly muscled from his brief work in the Smithcraft. His hands are of an average size with long fingers and callused from working in gloves, again from work in the Smithcraft. The rest of R'men's body is still built for traveling, such as a generally small body, narrow-ish hips and long legs more used to walking and riding rather than standing or running.
Personality:
Quiet and shy are not words to describe R'men. He is outgoing and tries to make jokes and those around him smile. Sadly, however, since humor doesn't always translate well he gets on certain people's nerves and has learned to avoid said people. Like the Headwoman. His run-in's, rather than hamper his spirit, has increased his charm and ability to talk himself out of things. As long as they aren't too drastic and are simple things. It's easier to explain why it isn't your fault the rope broke than explain why the piano broke. This quick wit has also allowed him to make friends quickly with people. Though this will not be true with every situation it is often true otherwise.
R'men also tends to be defiant. He knows defiance isn't wise but his life without any real father figure has left him without much of a sense of respect for authority. Eley did teach him to respect women, as they bear and raise the children and can occasionally calm a fiery temper.
Besides being generally friendly the only quality that redeems R'men's natural defiance is that he is a hard worker. When given a task he puts his all into it. He likes to get things done quickly so that he can have more free time. Though sometimes he doesn't get it done right, in his defense, he still gets it done. However, if you show him how to do it right not only will it be done quickly, but there is the chance it will be done right. One thing R'men hates with a passion is having to redo something. He refuses to speak of how many runnershoes he had to make before he got a set that could be used. He also insists to be called Noodle, though for reasons unknown.
Rather than make him a little more serious than he can be, the perfection Weith seems to strive for has only boosted R'men's goofy side and his ego. Impressing a bronze not only did that, but boosted his confidence and his humility. He is often the one to apologize to a certain goldrider for the dragon’s antics and often is at odds with Weith, often seeing points of himself within him. There was once a time where R’men would walk up to someone randomly, in the middle of the night and talk to them, he was younger then.
History:
2991- 3004[/u]
Ramen's heritage can be traced to the source of two locations. His maternal line can be found at Blossom Hold while his paternal line can be traced until it springs from a humble cothold. However, any life he might have had in either place has been denied him as his parents wound up in Selenitas Hold just prior to the beginning of their family. Ramen is the fourth born of seven children and the third son of them. Two brothers and a sister were born prior to him and two sisters and a brother born after. Precariously brought into the world as the middle child he is often overlooked by his parents. He was born into the rather insignificant year of 2991.
As Ramen's father looked to his older brothers as prospects for joining the blacksmithing craft and his mother caught up with his eldest sister Ramen was left to his own devices. Being outgoing as he is Ramen was often the one with all the friends and often the one getting in trouble with them. However his closest friend was his sister Anusha and the two were often the ones getting into the trouble, often in the kitchens where they spent most of their time. When Anusha was taken under the wing of an archivist Ramen saw her less often. However when he ran klah up to the records room he made a point of staying for a while.
3005 - 3009
Once again, Ramen was left to his own devices for keeping himself busy. Eventually, when he was 14 turns, he began going out on caravan trips and tithing trains. His closest friend was now a boy named Fuiley who was 16 turns old. Just as Anusha had found a father figure in Gonan, he found a mother figure in Fuiley's mother Eley.
Life on the tithing trains was how Ramen learned of the news of the Weyr. Much like his sister had, Ramen had never thought much of Shmee's Impressing Aslath. He concerned himself with tithes. He knew very little of her and what he had heard of her was only said in rumor. As long as she didn't raise tithes he decided he wouldn't worry about her. The biggest shock to affect his life in the next three turns was the death of Weyrwoman Sera and the rise of Shmee. He noticed a significant drop of supplies taken on tithing trains to the Weyr. With less to transport better time was made.
Eventually Fuiley was allowed to lead a tithing train under the guidance of his mother when Ramen was 18 turns. That was also where Ramen's tithing life was cut short.
3010 - 3011[/i]
Upon the return trip from the Weyr his father immediately recruited him into the Smithcraft. He would only later discover why when his older brother told him of their eldest brother's demise. Other events involving his family he also learned from close friends and relatives. The events of his sisters' becoming a weaver and the other's marriage did not faze him however. Though what did was the news he heard when people came to his father for things and told him of the happenings. Through this Ramen heard of the events at the Weyr. The massacre of the weyrlings and the attempted execution by Benden of Shmee stunned him as well as it scared him.
Ramen continued to work under his father until the news came in 3011 that Shmee was dead. That she was poisoned made the news worse. At first he didn't believe it, but to confirm the tale as true or false himself he demanded that his father allow him to go out on the next tithe to the Weyr. When this was denied him Ramen decided to go anyway. He knew it was a bad idea to go against his father's wishes but something’s you must hear from the source.
3012 - 3013[/u]
His leaving, however, wasn't immediate. There was a particular person he wanted to travel with and when he was able to travel with Fuiley it was almost a turn later. Selenitas was attacked and no one would be going out for a few more months. Unable to wait Ramen grabbed a runner and some supplies and set off on his own.
On his travels, Ramen was Searched by a greenrider name Lennae. Their meeting was brief and he didn't speak much with her, but he made a note of maybe getting to know her better. This plan, however, fell through, as shortly after his arrival at Selenitas Weyr the eggs on the Sands were attacked. Northerners from an unnamed weyr had arrived and tried to take one of the eggs. They claimed they were from a dying weyr and they needed a queen egg. In the skirmish, Ramen got confused and attempted to help by driving a knife into the leg of one of the dragons. His well intentioned attempt was doomed, however, since he stabbed the wrong dragon and shortly after he stabbed her, Calistoth betweened.
Only later did Ramen learn he had stabbed a Selenitas dragon and he was mortified that he had done more harm than good. This disturbed Ramen up until the eggs on the Sands hatched.
Hatchling after hatchling passed him to find their mindmates until the egg that the attackers had wanted and the egg next to it broke open. They produced a gold and a bronze who began hissing and fighting almost the second they felt sand. This confrontation went on until the gold bit the bronze and he barreled into the male candidates. The whole irony of the situation was that the bronze Impressed to Ramen, now R'men, and that he had hatched from the egg that was targeted to be stolen.
After weyrlinghood, however, R’men kept to himself for a while. It wasn’t until the poisoning of the Selenitas River that caused R’men to once again get into the news loop. He was wary of the places Weith went to drink and bathe, fearing that one slip of the tongue might rip one from the other in a horrible way. Keeping in the news allowed him to be better prepared for the attack from Fort. Though it couldn’t have been predicted, Weith was ready to play ferry for others as a weyrling in rank.
3015 - 3018
As a simple bronzerider, R’men enjoyed a simple life. It wasn’t until Weith decided to chase the gold Jingth that he had a wake-up call. Not ready for the intensity of flight-lust, he was awkward and succumbed to the mind of his dragon quite quickly. Weith evidently lost the Flight, but it was an experience necessary for R’men. There would be more Flights to come. (There were more Flights, and the next one was green Adaityth, of which the bronze won. It was to be R’men’s first and last homosexual experience.)
When Fort attacked, Weith and R’men were among those exiled in the chaos. Life outside of familiar Selenitas was hard but good for both of them, as members of the new Burimyu. It wasn’t until Meira of gold Jingth was killed and the queen betweened after her clutch hatched that everyone was left with a question as to what they were going to do. The answer came in the form of tithe raids that would have probably happened anyway. R’men, remembering the very real fear of thieves from his youth on tithe trains, found them a necessary evil though distasteful.
When the earthquake struck Selenitas, R’men was not among those to go and offer aid to Selenitas. He remained at Burimyu, secretly envious of those able to visit home, no matter how destroyed it was. With the merge of the weyrs life carried on and despite the attack on the whers by the same type of strange beast (or so it was assumed), a little ray of sunlight shown for R'men and Weith: he caught the golden Nitrath and R'men found his weyrmate in the greenrider Vellani.
3019 - 3020[/u]
With the war in the north heating up, R’men found himself flying with Benden Wings to supply support on a shaky alliance. He didn’t like spending time away from his new weyrmate Vellani. It worried him to think about leaving her alone and what would happen in Fort discovered the underground weyr while he was away, especially with them being discovered as having a child on the way. Despite this, both R’men and Weith became familiar with Fort’s fighting tactics and gained plenty of fighting experience with the border skirmishes they were a part of. Eventually, with Fort weakened and the fall of the Fort Weyrleader at the hands of a Selenitas-lead group, the Dragon War ended, and R'men gained a son.
Among those chosen to reside at the newly formed Inverness weyr in the north, R’men and Weith made the best of it. The bronze wasn’t fond of the cooler air (as his grumbling during the winter evidenced), the new bans on the things he could and could not do, and in his mind, the lack of solid leadership. Weith didn’t agree with the weyrs letting the holders change so much. However, after the war destroyed a great deal, both were busy rebuilding their new home and R’men building a new life as a father and uncle to his sister Anusha’s son Easrian.
3021 - Present[/u]
Again, R’men and Weith were little involved in the subtle tensions that seemed to permeate through the weyr. Despite their status, they were still left out of things and perhaps for the better. R’men had noticed a trend in that people involved with things tended to die. He enjoyed living and loved his weyrmate and son (and nephew), thank you very much. R’men and Weith both were also unhappy with how things had been decided at a Summit of leaders. However, Weith is looking forward to competing in the Weyrleader Trials, anxious to see how he matches up against others and seeing if he is finally recognized as the leader he could be.

Weith by Me
Rooster Bronze
Name: Weith
Color Code: C45B28
Age: 9 turns
---3014
Impresses to: Ramen/R’men
Parents: Gold Hepaticath (deceased); Bronze Ciceroth
Progeny: Epic Clutch with Nitrath
Appearance: Just like his clutchmother, this bronze is simply huge. In length, he will rival a small queen, and his build is quite bulky, packed with muscle even at his hatching. Weith is thick through the legs, deep and broad in the chest, and wide in the jaw. The ridges along his neck are unusually blunted but firmer and tougher in comparison to that of most dragons, and the result is a look of just general largeness that will probably make most dragons think twice before engaging him. His teeth look slightly overlong for his jaws, even if they aren’t, and that flash of whitened teeth and shining white claws only add to the imposing image. Weith is simply intimidating in build.
Of course, his coloration is laughable enough that many dragons (and humans) will not take him seriously. Weith is a coppery shade all over, a brilliant reddish hue that is both ostentatious and painful to the eyes after an application of oil and sunlight. Weith glints in any light, and he positively sparkles in full sunshine. The beautiful reddish color of his hide fades to a lighter, more gold-tinted hue at his ridges, which detracts from his general appearance of toughness. However, the crowning glory of Weith’s hide is his rump. A strip of honey-gold coloration starts between his shoulder blades and runs straight down his spine to his rump where it splits into a branching series of curving, meandering lines that, when viewed from above, show the same tree-like pattern as his egg.
From years of fighting that began with the tithe train raids, his hide is also marred by scars. The most notable are four found crossing the bridge of his nose that he gained from the bronze Romeoth during a tithe raid. Others that are often not as attributed skim his hips, shoulders, and tail. The edges of a few of his wingsails are a bit ragged, but still in fine flying condition.
Weith is, for obvious reasons, not the most agile of dragons, both on land and in the air. His movements are heavy and slightly slow, and quick movements and maneuvers really just are not his thing. Brute stamina and strength are his specialties, though his stamina could be called into question if he doesn’t take the time to practice. It takes more than just basic muscle to get his large self into the air, and long flights will be necessary to build those muscles to keep him flying steadily for long periods. While the leaner bronzes may be able to fly circles around him, it can be assured that very few, if any, dragons in the weyr will be able to beat him in a straight dive. Pulling out, however, may be another story entirely.
Personality: Perhaps the name of his egg was too indicative of his personality, but Weith lives up to the stereotype associated with a cock: a great deal of empty bravado and pointless aggression. He is large and in charge, and far be it from anyone to challenge his claim as the greatest of the weyr’s bronzes. Never, ever will Weith forget the identity of his clutchparents. After all… two great creatures could never breed anything less than absolute perfection, in his mind. And to his own highly biased point of view, Weith is perfect. He is masterfully intelligent, highly perceptive, and a perfect planner and leader.
Were it not for the fact that Weith’s ego is not entirely unfounded, he might be comical. Unfortunately, Weith does possess a great deal of intelligence, and his meticulous, perfectionist nature makes him a very good planner and organizer. Never can it be said that Weith is lazy or inattentive, for if something is going on in the weyr, he will know about it, formulate a plan of action to deal with it, and press on without hesitation. He is very decisive and never second-guesses himself, pursuing his chosen path with a great deal of zeal. This enthusiasm is occasionally misplaced and taken too far, for Weith is also a most conservative beast, stubbornly set in his ways to the point that dissenters are viewed in a most critical fashion. Change comes slowly in Weith’s world. Perfection needs no changing, in his mind, and his world (so long as he is running it and picking apart the ‘wrongdoings’ of others) is just plain perfect.
For all his ego, though, it can not be denied that Weith is an intelligent and good leader when not throwing a royal hissy fit about some ridiculous new notion. He will not hesitate to take the side of those he believes to be in the right, aggressively so if he feels it is necessary. Though he is built like a fighter, most of Weith’s aggression tends to be demonstrated in display until someone bares claws or teeth against those he prizes—namely himself and His; Weith doesn’t like to be tied down to one female—or he feels can not defend themselves. This is not done out of nobility but out of a sense of practicality. He’ll have no one to lead in the future if everyone dies, will he?

Name: Asshat
Age: 6 turns
Born: May 3017
Color: Brown ~ Base coloration: [8B4513], Eye spot and feet: [AA5303]
Species: Mandyr
Looks to: R’men
Parents: Gold Harmony (deceased); Bronze Imp
Progeny: Indeterminable from Leviathan's First Clutch
Physical Appearance:
Far from the most muscular brown this male has the build of your average blue though he is the size of an average brown. His body is rather lithe and he sports the same lean muscle mass blues of the species tend to have which gives him a surprising amount of speed for a brown. His tail is just a touch longer then your average mandyr and he is prone to using it to grasp objects and people. He has a set of nice fully functional wings gracing his back as well. Though he rarely if ever chooses to use them. He much prefers to run and climb or hitch rides to get where he is going. In fact the only time he will ever use his wings is when he needs to make a quick escape from something or other. Like the majority of his siblings from past clutches and this one he has no true frill. Instead sporting a ring of extendable bony spines around his head like this dam. He will frequently sharpen the tips of these spines himself on the rough edges of stones and the like to keep them razor-sharp. His bonded will no doubt have to be careful when his mandyr chooses to extend his ‘frill’.
This brown’s hide could best be described as the color of soft leather. It looks like soft pliable leather too. The male’s hide has next to no sheen and instead has an almost soft and worn look at times. It will keep this dull look to it even when the brown is in prime health. Thus his bonded will have to pay attention to other clues to tell if the mandyr is feeling under the weather. As if to set off the leathery look this male has a few accents of a different coloration. One large light caramel colored eye spot surrounds his left eye and colors his wing membranes. The same color can be found on his feet as if he had dipped them in caramel.
Personality:
Upon birth it was obvious that this mandyr quite adores chaos. He is a master instigator, easily picking up on just what bothers someone so that he can recreate it. He simply doesn’t seem happy unless some sort of altercation or drama is going on. The brown prefers it if he is not involved in the actual fight but if that’s the only way to get something going he’s fine with actively participating. He loves to keep the combatants going on and on, egging on or the other on until the argument snowballs out of control or to violence. He’s certainly not one you could call sweet or loving, though nor is he particularly nasty. He just likes things to be a little out of control.
He also has a fascination with sharp objects bordering on obsessive. Whether it be his own tines, a dagger, shards of glass, or arrow heads, he seems to like to examine and covet said objects. He’ll try to collect a large hoard of them too if he can. Either by finding small sharp shards of glass or stone easily carried by him or trying to convince someone that he really needs that dagger they are carrying. Very careful not to wound himself, his will have to be careful about not accidentally stepping on or stabbing themselves with this mandyrs sharp and pointy hoard.
Very verbose this male likes to talk. It’s almost a shame that ninety percent of the words the brown learns will be insults. What better way to start a fight then to insult someone after all? He’s not a very easily trainable mandyr either. He seems to suffer from selective hearing and is quite okay with his being angry with him as long as he gets to do what he wants. He really has no use for firelizards and ignores them completely as if they do not exist. As far as other mandyrs go he loves to bother and pick at other males, trying to instigate them into a battle of wills. Females he tends to be more tolerant of even trying to rope them into his games of instigation. This brown will only chase the more outspoken and nasty females of his species. He has absolutely no use for sweet or demure females. No, he needs a partner who loves chaos just as much as he himself and will keep chasing till he finds his perfect match whereupon he will stay loyal to her. Ah the endless search for his queen of chaos. Because trouble is best caused in tandem clearly.

Name: Lucia
Impressed to: R'men
Color: Green #6B8E23
Age: 5 turns
---February 3018
Parents: Wild; Wild
Progeny: N/a
Physical Appearance: The first thing one will notice about this little green is just that - she is little. Not just small for her size, but truly little. Proportionately she is far from perfect, if dwarfism existed in firelizards this girl would be just that. Her wings are shorter than they should be - not short enough to prevent flight, as she will be able to fly decently. Her tail too is short, almost stubby in appearance when compared to that of a normal green. Her body is slender, though due to her smaller overall stature it appears a bit bulky in some areas giving her a more masculine appearance. Somehow she manages to give of a more feminine vibe, despite her body's form.
If her slightly smaller and stubbish appearance gave a doubt to her being female, the color of her hide left no doubt. She was gorgeous in color where she lacked finesse in her body shape. The base hue of her hide was a lovely olive green with brighter green markings along her spine from head to tail tip. Her belly was a bit... odd though. No green graced her underside, no, instead there was... brown. A light brown that had a tinge of red to it - the color faded nicely into the green that composed the rest of her hide making it seem a little less out of place.
Personality: Typical greens are a bit on the loud side. Flirtatious. Daring. This green however, is not. Perhaps it is her diminutive size and smaller proportions that have made her shy and quiet. She is not so much insecure, though it certainly may seem like it at times when she refuses to give her bonded any real feedback or opinion on anything. It is likely she'll prefer the company of males (of any species) over females - should she Impress to a female it is likely she will spend more time with the male friends Hers has than she does with Hers. Still she will love Hers, male or female, and be there at a moment's notice. This little green is fiercely loyal if a bit quirky. Due to her small size it goes without saying she is likely to be more of a lover than a fighter, she will avoid physical conflict except in the most dire of situations.
She will never be as strong a flier as her siblings may be, due to her smaller wings she will have to work a bit harder to keep in the air - even with her smaller size. This will lead to her preferring to be on the ground or perched over being in the air. Because of this, flights will be an interesting thing for this female - she is unlikely to rise as often as normal greens will. When she does rise her flights will be less about flying and more about graceful jumping and gliding - some of it will even be running as if she were a salamandyr! It is likely she will take a mate after her first flight and cling to dear life to the male who catches her, even if he chases other females. She will likely 'look the other way' and forgive him - even if he is a womanizing sort who is never truly bonded to just her.
