I am the most widely skilled person on the Ranch. I have done everything in my power to be as helpful to the Ranch as is humanly possible. I have worked at the Ranch for just a few weeks shy of a year.
I am still working for my starting base pay.
I still do not have a structured hourly full time job.
I do not like being ‘on call’ at all hours of the week. I want to know when I am on duty and when I am off without having to ask every day of the week. I want to have a life other than the Ranch.
I am not paid enough for my skills. I am the only person regularly employed by the Ranch who can Skin and Cook. I am also significantly knowledgeable in the fields of septic, plumbing, basic electrical, construction, and animal care and training.
I do not like being harassed toward making purchases that are not only outside of my financial ability on my payroll, but also should be covered by the Ranch, NOT myself. I should not have to provide vehicles to be used/abused by Ranch use.
I should not be harassed into doing a job other than what I was hired to do. I was hired to be a SKINNER, therefore I skin. I do not fetch hogs from the field, I do not take calls from Hunters, I do not take Hunters into the fields, or drive them around. These are the jobs of a GUIDE. I am not paid Guide wages. I should not be expected to perform as a Guide. If my job is changed, that is fine. But I should be officially notified of that change, and my pay should be increased to match. Even should this take place, I will not provide vehicles, communications devices, or other such items that are to be used by the Ranch. The Ranch should provide these devices and tools. I will be happy to respectfully use/ care for such devices should they be entrusted to me for use, in the best interests of the Ranch.
I am highly skilled, fast, efficient, clean, and neat in my job as a Skinner. This results in meat landing in the freezer before it ever has a chance to spoil, and the customer receives all of their meat. This is very appreciated by the customers to the point where many specifically request that I, personally, tend to their animals even if there are other Skinners on duty. This means that I do not spend a great deal of unnecessary time on any given animal and sometimes results in down time with no hogs on the ground. This is evidence of my skill and value, not of my being a useless accessory to the Ranch.
I am a Novelty to the customers of the Ranch just by being who and what I am and being employed by the Ranch. This results in more word of mouth advertisement for the Ranch.
End resolution:
I want a significant pay raise OR be allowed to keep all of the skinning fees from skinning jobs that I personally accomplish. No more working two hours on a bison that pulls down a $250 skinning fee, and only getting paid $18 for all that exhaustive work and effort.
I want to no longer have to suffer harassment on matters that the Ranch should deal with itself. If the Ranch needs reliable communication devices for the employees of the Ranch, the Ranch will provide this. If the Ranch needs vehicles to do certain tasks on the Ranch, the Ranch will provide them. Same for any other matters of Ranch Business.
I want a structured, set hours on a weekly basis.
I want a full time (40+ hrs a week) job. I am willing to work longer hours, but I expect to be paid for every hour spent on the Ranch. No more being required to be there 24 hrs a day and only be paid for 12. I am willing to work odd hours of the day, or longer shifts, but they must be regular and steady.
