C'loy grimaced as he rotated his shoulder. The bandages restricted it's movement to some extent, but shard it all, it still hurt like hell. The bronzerider really wasn't sure how he had managed to injure himself at all, he had been in the middle of his nightly work out, when all of a sudden, his arm gave out under him. The healer had taken a look at it and ensured the young man that it had simply been dislocated it. After a quick scuffle that ended with C'loy biting a piece of leather as his shoulder was popped back into place, the healer had given him a few simple instructions and sent him on his way.
Now, this wouldn't be such a problem, but C'loy wasn't the best at following orders. Kallandrith had been uncharacteristically sympathetic of his rider's plight, but urged C'loy to do exactly what he had been told not to. The large dragon landed lightly in the middle of the weyrbowl and walked to meet C'loy. Upon giving him a quick sniff and a nudge, which caused C'loy to cringe, Kallandrith announced calmly, It is a shame, but you are not weak. Continue as you were, and you will be fine. Training shall proceed as usual? The rider gave a small smile, his large bronze partner's pursuit of power would be stopped by nothing as inconsequential as as an injured rider. Truth be told, C'loy didn't want to stop training. He was competitive, and it killed him that Kallandrith continued to excel at everything, while he struggled to keep up. If there was anything holding the bronze back, it was his rider, a fact which the blonde recognized. So he would have to work harder, it wasn't an option.
But he was just so tired, and a quick nap couldn't hurt anyone, right? Why did his own weyr have to be so far away though, C'loy wasn't really sure that he would be able to drag himself up there, and Kallandrith would be no help. Well, the solution seemed easy enough, the wherhandlers apartments weren't that far. And he hadn't seen Kai in months... C'loy found his way to the apartments fairly easily, and the gold handlers apparent soon after. He opened the door silently, and closed it behind him, flinching as the door clicked shut behind him. Hopefully Kaius wasn't a light sleeper. C'loy took his shoes off and moved towards a bed, frowning when he saw the spot that he had wanted to occupy being taken up by a sleeping figure, probably Sena. Oh well, he would make do.
True, C'loy had changed since the end of the war, but Kaius still brought out the strange and carefree side of him, the side that right now, really just felt like cuddling. The bronze rider leaped in a very ungainly fashion over the sleepy bodies towards the other side of a body that could only be Kauis and snuggled up next to him, throwing a hand carelessly over his waist. C'loy buried his head into Kai's back, trying to get comfortable. The bronze rider was not very good at human interaction, obviously. It was nice to have a warm body to snuggle up next to, maybe he should move in-permanently. Yea right, Sena would kill him.
