Humans:
Name: Phraiken
Age: 24 (October 2998)
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Up to adopter
Rank: Lord Holder
Physical Appearance: Average, rest up to adopter.
Personality: Fierce independant streak, serious, confident, rarely has friends, can be a bit of a jerk
History: Phraiken's life was nothing special prior to his eighth turn. He was born to Lord Phrenimanst and the Lady Holder, the oldest and only son the couple ever produced. They had so much trouble conceving, in fact, that his sister, Aiphi, was born ten turns later than him and was the final child. It was when he turned 8 that his life as a carefree, if serious, child ended and he began Lord Holder training. This coincided with the re-emergence of Thread and the force mining of Hyphen. While these had little context for the young Phraiken he would remember them and also hear these events inspire everyone he knew to curse dragonriders.
As he got older and he continued to hear of horrible things riders did and the reactions of those around him, Phraiken grew to resent the dependancy on dragonriders and his perception of them all being arrogant. He didn't bother to find out more than what the biased people of Lighttower told him. He began taking over some of the duties from his father whilke also becoming the confidant of his little sister: she wished to become a Weaver but his father would never allow it. Phraiken, fond of his sister despite the age gap, wondered about the restrictions on female crafters in Lighttower.
Still, Phraiken dared not suggest things to his stubborn father. Where Phrenimanst was set in his ways, Phraiken was willin to hear the opinions of his future people. Not that he'd listen to them all, but he did like to hear them at least.
Wasteland's takeover bother Lighttower little until the exiles chose to steal their tithes and they were forced to give more. Phraiken chafed at the unfairness of the dragonriders' demands and his resentment grew. He was disappointed when the earthquake didn't just wipe them all out. Lighttower sent no support and Phraiken approved of that choice. He did, however, support the end of the war, regardless if that meant supporting Selenitas. It would be better for business and less taxing on the Holds in the end. He accompanied his father to the summit and gave his opinions to the older man even though he couldn't sit in on the meetings.
The father and son were both pleased by the results though Phrenimanst would never get to see them implemented. The aging Holder's health took a turn for the worst and he perished within months of the summit's decision. The 22 turn old Phraiken took over as Lord Holder immediately and the changes he had wanted to make for so long were implemented. Namely that females could become crafters and female crafters could reside in Lighttower. His public reasoning was so that the dragonriders would have less opportunities at their children but privately he had done it for his sister.
The next two turns saw Lighttower changing very little beyond that and increased pressure from his mother and various old friends of his father to find himself a Lady Holder. At twenty four he remained without a bride but a strong Lord Holder for his people nontheless.
