I'm going to take a nap, Mine. Triniath spoke quietly as his rider dismounted. Sk'ler patted the Brown's shoulder and nodded. "Alright, Trin. Enjoy what sun we get today." He glanced up at the sky to see a large patch of bright blue sky among the white clouds. "We might have a sunny day. A nice change after all the rain." He glanced down at the muddy ground to see Skye bouncing along and occasionally plopping down to roll around a bit. Sighing, Sk'ler reached down, picked up the fire-lizard and began wiping off the mud with a cloth he was beginning to get in the habit of carrying. "Stop playing in the mud, Silly. I just oiled you today." Skye chirped happily and squirmed out of Histhing's grasp to cling to the rider's arm. "You are so weird, and so are the rest of you." He glanced at the frolicking puppies and the two fire-lizards flying around them.
After he had brought Mandy and Chewy to the weyr, it had taken the female awhile to warm up to the whole family, but after she had established the fact that she thought she was the boss, Mandy had warmed up to everyone. Considering that all six of the animals liked to sleep with Sk'ler, she had to tolerate their presences. Whistling for the canines and fire-lizards, Sk'ler headed into the Stables. He politely avoided any of the stalls near the resident runners and headed for one of the larger and emptier. Plopping down in the straw on the ground, Sk'ler whistled again for his pets, and Chewy soared through the entrance and collided with Sk'ler's chest. Commando followed at a more sedate pace and eyed her friend with what could be equated with amusement.
Soltun launched himself off of Sk'ler's shoulder when Chewbacca entered and landed gingerly on the stall wall. He cocked his head to look at the wiggling ball of fur and Joolree copied the Brown's example. They were still unsure why Theirs had gotten the two fuzzy things, but Joolree liked them and the two new Blues that had joined their little fair. Speaking of the two Blues, Skye had buried himself in the straw in a different corner where he could watch Sk'ler and only his nose and eyes were visible. As for Admiral, the hippy version of a fire-lizard was perched between Joolree and Soltun with his eyes watching the silly actions of Chewy. He chirped here and there, always saying what he wanted in flitter speak. If Soltun could roll his eyes, he would, but the Brown couldn't, and settled for ignoring the silly Blue His had Impressed. He did keep an eye on Skye, but only because the poor thing was a cripple.

"Well, hello, handsome."
Fi's voice cooed from the greenrider's spot outside the stall door. The young woman had ever-so-daintily folded her arms atop the door and was resting her chin on them, staring down at the brownrider and his little mini-zoo on the straw in the stall. She had not gone searching for him, but she had been seeking out this stall. Did he remember what had happened here? Of course he did... or he should. That was what she had come here for anyway. Going without was occasionally very uncomfortable for Fi, so she liked to revisit the scene of such glorious experiences in order to... get herself into the mood. It usually worked well. Today, it would work excellently.
Ego might have abandoned her, but Fiona saw plenty of little things to play with. She cooed happily and immediately opened the stall door and slipped inside, pulling it shut behind her to keep the little pups from escaping. "They're adorable! How old are they? What're their names?" she exclaimed excitedly, unashamedly settling herself on the straw beside the brownrider. Her dark eyes focused on his face, and she wondered if he would run. He had tried to run before, until they had persuaded him to stay. Perhaps she should encourage him to stick around. With that thought, she flopped one of her legs casually over his before looking to eye his unending supply of cute things.
"You have soooo many. I don't remember them," she continued, tossing her head to clear her dark curls from her face. After trimming her hair to ear-length to fit under her helmet, the curls had gotten tighter and bouncier. Irritating too. "Sk'ler, hmm? Cutie. Have you been avoiding me?" Her question was emphasized by a slight pout, and she leaned against his shoulder, whining softly. "I haven't really seen you since we rolled here, and that was more than a Turn ago. Long time, you know." Ever so long, in Fi's mind, of course.

Well, hello, handsome.
Sk'ler blinked with surprise and glanced up to see Fiona leaning against the stall door. He remembered her, and very much so. Now that he thought about it, it was in the stall he was currently occupying that they had... gotten to know each other on a personal and rather physical level. That incident had occurred with another Brownrider, but seeing as the man wasn't here, Sk'ler refrained from thinking about him. So when a tinge of color spread across the rider's face, Fiona could be assured that he was remembering their one and only encounter. "Hello, Fiona." He replied politely and glanced down at Chewbacca. The pup was eying the Greenrider with a look of pure joy, and Sk'ler could already see the pup covering the woman in a shower of puppy kisses.
His prediction was correct as Fiona slipped into the stall and plopped down beside him. Chewy scrambled up to her and happily attacked her with his tongue. "Down, Chewy." Sk'ler admonished the canine and pulled his overeager puppy-ness away from the rider only to be slightly more embarrassed when Fi draped one of her legs over his. "This silly monster is Chewbacca or Chewy. He's about 2 months, and the female, Commando or Mandy, is around 4 months." Sk'ler rubbed lovingly on Mandy's head while the pup watched the actions of her companion solemnly beside her Master. "As for the fire-lizards, Soltun and Joolree, the brown and green, they were around when we.. uh.. met. The Blue with them is Admiral. A friend purchased his egg for me from the Caravan, but there's one more."
Sk'ler mentally beckoned for Skye, and the Blue happily burst out of his little hideout and raced to the humans to perch on Fiona's leg and stare up at her. "This little guy is Skye, and from what I know, the only fire-lizard without any hint of wings whatsoever, and I got him from a Mystery Egg." He playfully poked Skye in the belly, and the Blue squeaked from surprise before he darted up Sk'ler's side and onto his head. He chirped proudly and struck a pose that would have been impressive if he had wings, but it only made him look silly. When Fiona spoke, or pouted really, about how he seemed to be "avoiding" her, he shook his head which resulted in Skye falling off the top of it. "I haven't been avoiding you. I'm not one to socialize a lot." And yet you are talking to her like old friends. Oh be quiet, Trin. You don't remember how panicky you were when I was with her and R'lor. The Brown's only response was a spark of sleepy amusement.

That blush was attractive on him, Fiona noted, and she giggled softly when he offered no protest to her claiming his attention. This was a good sign. A verygood sign, in fact. She hated being rejected; it hurt her sensitive feelings. He was so formally polite, though, and she reached up to tickle the underside of his chin with one fingertip. "Mmm, you should smile more, handsome. We know each other, so you don't have to be so formal. It's Fi to my friends." And to her bedmates too, but Fi was not about to frighten him off with that tidbit.
She need not have worried about being entertained, anyway, for she was fairly quickly attacked with puppy kisses as soon as her rump settled itself into the straw. The kisses elicited a squeal, and she laughed, trying to pet the little canine to appease its obvious need for attention. Sk'ler pulled it away all too quickly, though, and she reached out a hand to pat the poor pup as it was pulled away. "Don't get mad at him on my account. Chewy, hmm? He's adorable." The young woman's eyes sparkled with youthful glee, and she moved as if to retrieve the canine for further attention when something scurried up her leg and then sat there. A firelizard... minus wings?
"Well, they're all cute. I wish I'd have gotten a mystery egg. I keep hearing about them. Ego would probably have tried to get rid of it, though," Fi sighed somewhat sadly, thinking about her strict, overbearing, rigid little pet. Where was that little thing off to anyway? Hopefully not eating anyone's salamandyr, but that was not something she could help for the moment. His explanation sounded like an excuse, and this time, she pulled out all the stops in pouting up at the much-taller rider. "We know each other. It's not like just talking to me is like... socializing with a bunch of people. It's just me, after all." It all made sense. She was only one person. One person did not count as a group, did they? She doubted it. "Besides, if you never talk to people, don't you get... well... lonely?"
I think Triniath's must like little flitters better, Mine. You should show him our little flitter. It would make him happier to see you. Raiyth commented sensibly, and Fiona couldn't help but pout at that, flopping down flat on her back on the straw with extra care taken to not land on anything small and potentially squishable. "Besides... some of the best fun I've had in ages, and now you hide." She sighed and just lay there for a moment, not minding if she got swarmed by puppy kisses again. "... well, anyway, what've you been up to... besides not being any fun?" Her wink took the sting out of her words. She fully intended to put herself in his lap at some point in the near future, and getting him angry would harm that. "Knocked anyone up yet?"
Cue more blushing, she hoped. She did so love it when men turned funny colors.

Women. Mysterious creatures that knew just how to make a man (like Sk'ler) very uncomfortable. Shifting a little so he was more comfortable, Sk'ler gently pulled Commando against his lap where the female was content to curl up and sleep while the rest of the gang entertained the stranger; however, Chewy was quite happy to snuggle up against Fiona, which was what he was currently doing with his body pressed up against the Greenrider's lap. Sk'ler rolled his eyes at the male's antics and gently flicked his hindquarters. "I do smile. You just too slow to see it." Sk'ler retorted, but the smile betrayed his amusement. "Fi? Alright, I guess I could call you that." He wasn't about to let her call him Sky despite being told to call Fiona 'Fi' because, well, he didn't know that much about her except she was nice in bed...
Is Mine actually thinking about Flying by choice? Triniath's voice was almost completely awake and Sk'ler mentally rolled his eyes. Be quite, You. I am not thinking about Flying Fiona so don't get your hopes up. You have the personality of a rock. Rocks don't have personalities. Exactly. Thoroughly miffed at his dragon, Sk'ler turned his attention back to Fiona in time to realize she was talking. "Luckily for me, if I was to somehow acquire another pet, which is very unlikely, none of these guys would throw a fit except maybe Mandy, but she would get over it." Eventually... He rubbed on the pup's head as he watched Fiona talk.
He chuckled when she compared herself to a group of people. "You, M'dear, are so outgoing that you could be a group of people." Did he just called her 'M'dear'? She's growing on you, Mine. Triniath chuckled and Sk'ler mentally poked him. Go back to sleep, you big lug. "I do too talk to people. Mainly my friend, Ciara, but she just had a baby, so I've been helping her." By now, Sk'ler was becoming a little more comfortable with Fiona, but not that much. At least this time, they both weren't recovering from Flightlust. He snorted in response to her thoughts about him not having fun, and just as he was about to comment on that when she spoke again.
If the blushing before was bad, this time it was worse. Sk'ler's face almost completely turned red, and in the back of his mind, he could "hear" Triniath having a laughing fit. Stupid Brown... "Well... Unless you count Trin Catching Kalierre's Green, Phremath, then no." His fire-lizards twittered even Soltun when they detected the discomfort in Theirs. Joolree and Soltun left their perches to alight upon Sk'ler while Admiral innocently perched on Fi's head. Skye remained snuggled up against Commando and Chewy watched the flits curiously for a moment before returning to cuddling with Fiona.
Your pets are weird.
I second that, Trin.

At least he was not protesting the change in nicknames, Fiona noted with some satisfaction. The young woman lifted a free hand to toss back her dark curls, dismayed at how troublesome they were becoming. She would have to trim them again. Hopefully, they wouldn't turn into a complete mess this time around. Her attention was soon snagged by the little pup making itself comfortable in her lap. Immediately, both hands were occupied in stroking her new little friend, bestowing him with as much affection as she could in case he decided to leave. Fiona, like many females, was easily melted in the heart by little fluffy things, and considering how cute little Chewy was, he was no exception to the rule. Perfectly adorable.
Sk'ler seemed to have a new pet-name for her, though, and she offered him a mischievous grin, waggling her eyebrows suggestively. Had he really called her 'm'dear'? He had, hadn't he? The little woman buried her face in her upper arm to muffle her giggles of amusement. She carefully skated over the details about his friend who had recently given birth, mostly because she thought that one single friend did not count as socializing. Then again... she was one single friend, was she not? Ah well. It was different, Fiona convinced herself. Quite different. She could have gone along that mental vein for quite awhile, but his blush was quite the distraction.
The greenrider could scarcely help herself and laughed softly, leaning in to plant a warmly affectionate kiss to his reddened cheek. "There is no need to be shy about sleeping with a woman as a result of a Flight, you know. I'm sure she didn't mind. I didn't mind during Aslath's flight," she murmured softly in his ear, flicking out her tongue to trace along the delicate lobe of his ear. "You don't have to be so embarrassed." The greenrider went back to busying her hands with stroking the pup in her lap, blinking in bemusement as she felt something take up a perch on her head. Almost absentmindedly, one hand lifted to investigate, and she petted the flitter for the briefest of moments before letting her hand return to Chewy in her lap. "I really need to get one of these canine pups. They're so cute."
I want one! Raiyth affirmed, viewing the little ball of fluff through Fiona's eyes. Are you making Triniath's look red again? You should not embarrass him so. Raiyth's scolding fell on deaf ears, and Fiona merely pressed herself closer to the brownrider, completely unashamed. Her chin tipped up, dark eyes focusing cheerfully on her friend's face. "I don't mind it when you call me 'M'dear', by the way. Very possessive, though. You claiming me?" she teased him, winking playfully. "I'm quite fine with that. I'm not attached to anyone, after all. Oh, and Raiyth says hello. She wants me to get her a canine now too. Apparently, Ego isn't enough for her."

While Fiona played with Chewy, Sk’ler couldn’t help but watch her. Had it really been about a turn or so since they had seen each other? Considering his solitary habits, it wasn’t hard to believe that, but they would have run into each other one way or the other, right? Anyways, the Brownrider couldn’t help but notice how… cute she was something he rarely if ever thought about. There was a glow about her that he had noticed when they had first met. Of course, at that time, his mind had been full of Flightlust so just about any human being was attractive. Her hair was shorter, bouncier too, and, surprisingly, Sk’ler had the urge to reach out and play with them. Not that Fiona would probably mind, but he never did stuff like that. Ever.
His only response to her mischievous grin was to offer a small half-grin, not much of a response, but a response nonetheless. Her amused giggles did nothing to comfort Sk’ler. If he remembered her correctly, the Greenrider was very…playful and not above blatant affection which was quickly proved when Fiona kissed his cheek. “Kalierre and I don’t exactly get along.” You avoid her like the plague, Sk’ler. Humph. Did she really just lick you? Trin spoke curiously while his rider sort of stared at Fiona for a few moments. She had just licked him. Poor Sk’ler. He wasn’t one that was comfortable with a woman, yet here was one that was doing some serious flirting. Instead of really reacting, Sk’ler just brushed it off. If it got a little more serious, he could always stick Mandy in Fiona’s way.
“I plan to breed Mandy with Chewy, and if it is successful, you can have one of the pups.” He reached over to pet Chewy, and the canine wiggled out of Fiona’s lap to claim his owner’s. Sk’ler was not very surprised when Fiona decided to get closer to him. Yep, he remembered what she did when they first met. No surprise there. “I am claiming any part of you, Fi.” Sk’ler rolled his eyes at her words and rested an arm on her shoulders. “I would expect you to be fine with something that isn’t actually happening.” He tapped her on the nose when he finished speaking. No one, not even Sk’ler, could easily resist Fiona’s “innocent” actions. Outside, Trin was very amused that his was even remaining still while Raiyth’s flirted with him. It was a very big first for Sk’ler.

It did dawn on the seemingly perpetually enthusiastic greenrider that she was being observed, but Fiona did little to act on it. Neither did she call Sk’ler out on his observations, based largely on the fact that she was convinced he would cringe away if she made a point out of it. No, he seemed to be quite content to just watch, and he wasn’t hurting her or anything. A little staring never hurt anyone, did it?
Of course not.
At his admission of avoiding the senior dragonhealer, Fiona stifled another round of giggles with one hand over her mouth. He made things so awkward. Flights were flights, and that was all. They didn’t get along, though, Sk’ler and Kali-something? Hmm, that was odd. Well, maybe the woman was just stupid. Who could pass up such a cute little thing as Sk’ler?! Unless, of course, the woman had her own male cuddly-thing. That could explain a lot. Now Fiona was curious.
“You know the staring doesn’t bother me, right?” she giggled out, noticing the way he watched her after her not-so-subtle attentions to his earlobe. Her mouth and tongue were meant to do things like that. He should have known that from Aslath’s flight, but… perhaps he had forgotten? She could re-educate him. There were a few new tricks to try out as well and-
As the little canine abandoned her lap to go seek attention from his owner, the greenrider offered up a momentary pout that quickly vanished at the realization of the offer of a future pet. Aha! She liked the sound of that, and the greenrider fairly bounced in place, tossing her head and bouncing the tight black curls around her face. Pups, pups, pups! She loved baby things! As his arm settled around her shoulders, she managed to cease her bouncing, though the fidgeting could not be helped. “I’d love a pup,” she affirmed, leaning into the brownrider’s shoulder and playfully flicking her tongue out at the tap at her nose. He was such a tease. “So… what do I do now that you’ve claimed me?” He had claimed her, right? She had had trouble listening.
