He's still looking at me, T'byMine. The weyrling chuckled softly and stood up to scratch at his dragon's eyeridges. "Yes, Nandath. Creeper's kinda weird. Just go to sleep." With him looking at me? There was another giggle. "Yes. Just sleep." I am tired. Nandath admitted with a great yawn as he curled up in his couch.
T'by watched with love in his eyes as the newly hatched brown drifted off to sleep before he stood up and looked around the room. He had just gotten used to sleeping in the candidate barracks and now he had a completely new room with a roommate even. It was sure to prove interesting. "Creeper! You get down from there." He called up to his flit who had perched himself high in the rafters. The tiny brown hissed and instead continued to stare down at Nandath with frightful intensity. "Creeper, you better behave!" T'by added, crossing his arms. Melly snorted. Stupid flyer never listen. Bad flyer. He commented, looking up from Nandath's head.
Creeper let out an angry scolding chatter and dove from the rafters. How dare the ugly crawler thing insult him?! He would tear his tail off! Eat him! Eat him! Ea- T'by snatched the brown from midair and let out a low sigh. "That's not behaving." T'by stated forcefully before wincing as sharp little teeth dug into hand. "You better not bother our roommates." Creeper glared. Of course he would.

The rukus woke Rof'l up. "Whosawha...?" He blinked sleepilly. Kamath, who had already been awake, looked at him, amused. Good morning, Rof'lmine. Rof'l blinked back at the dragon as all the thoughts flowed back to him. I must adjust to your silly human sleeping habits. Do all of you weak little people sleep as much as you? Rof'l scratched his eyeridge, just the way his parents' dragons had liked it.
"No, I think I'm one of the only ones who does." Rof'l turned to T'by. "Hi, I'm Rofi...I mean, Rof'l. And this is my wonderful beautiful dragon Kamath. Isn't he wonderful and shiny?" Kamath straightened at this compliment. Rof'lmine, I can introduce myself. Only that way, can they see my magnificence first hand. He broatcasted his words to all presant in the room, including Melly and Creeper.
My name Kamath. Rof'l is right, I am very shiny, except on my nose. A very spoiled green scratched me because of a very rude brown. I hope your dragon is much nicer. I hope you are much nicer. I warn you, if you hurt Rof'lmine I will-- He was interupted by Rof'l. "Kamath, he's not going to hurt me. Don't worry. We will all get along fine," he said soothingly.
If you say so, Rof'lmine. Well hello. Are you as weak a human as mine, or are you stronger like dragons? Rof'l says all humans are weaker. Is he right? And what are those creatures? The brown one looks like your dragon, but smaller. Why is he small? What is it, Rof'lmine? And what is that blue one? It does not look like any dragon at all.
"The brown one is a fire lizard, and the blue one is a salamandyr. What are your names?"

The boy smiled warmly at the other. "I'm .... T'by." He giggled softly, shaking his head. "That's going to be confusing for awhile, you know?" It was hard to transition from being called one name to another after you had used one your entire life. "I'm sorry we woke you, but yeah. He is pretty shiny." Again the candidate giggled before he winced as sharp flit teeth pinched at his hand. But he ignored the irritated firelizard in his hand and instead turned to smile at Kamath. "Nandath is pretty nice and I think I am too. So is Melly. He's the 'mandyr over there." T'by nodded toward said creature who peered at Kamath before giving a soft chirp and laying his head down. "But Creeper here you've got to watch. He's..." Creeper let out a dangerous sounding hiss and thrashed against T'by's hands until he was free. ".... Bothersome." The candidate sighed, watching Creeper dart around his head, hissing and spitting angrily before poofing away.
"But don't worry about him too much. Usually he'll just stare. Especially when you're asleep. Creeper's kinda.... creepy that way." T'by beamed, rubbing at the light scratches on his hands. He didn't seem to care about his firelizard's behavior or the slight bit of blood. It was pretty usual with Creeper after all. He smiled at Kamath and Rof'l. "I guess I'm weaker like a human than a dragon. But I am a little small. And smaller normally means weaker." There was no thought of sleep on his mind just yet. He didn't think it was possible so he'd been awake since the hatching, sometimes having to stop himself from skipping around the room. He'd Impressed! How cool was that? Again, a small giggle escaped him. "So yeah... I'm T'by. And that's Nandath. Pretty sure I already said it, but it's just so neat that I can say it." Yes. He was obviously more than a little excited.

"Oh boy, do I! Who ever thought I would actually be Rof'l? And it's no problem at all. Kamath is especially happy, he gets some compliments." Kamath nodded eagerly. And I shall avoid this Creeper at all costs. Why is he so eager to hurt his? I would never hurt mine. Why doesn't he just use his words? Is he just quiet? Or is he stupid? Does the little...what did you call her? Belly? Kelly? Does she like to use her words like me or actions like the strange little...what did you call him, fire lizard?
It was not surprising that his little dragon had so many questions for the new weyrling. He had just hatched, after all. He let T'by answer. "See, Kamath? Most people can't lift dragons, especially bronzes!" He chucked. So mine did not lie. Smaller can be stronger, by the way. See, look at me. I am big but I am thin and flexable. See?
To demonstrate, the dragonet stretched backwards, touching his nose to his rump. "Wow, that's spectacular! How can you do that?" Kamath was obviously amused at his riders awe. Just wait until I can get into the air! I bet I will be the most wonderful flier. I want to do one hundred loops in a row! Rof'l laughed. "I can't wait until Weyrling lessons start, can you? No, I can't wait until we can fly!"

Name Melly. Not girl. Boy. Stupidflyers no talk. Melly stated calmly for all to hear, once more looking up at Kamath. T'by chuckled softly. "Yeah, like Melly said. Firelizards don't talk. And Creeper is just a strange one. Melly's much calmer." He moved over and picked up the 'mandyr who happily wrapped his tail over his bonded's tail. "That is pretty flexible! You're pretty talented. But you're also going to get to be really big so I don't think you count." He smiled good heartedly and patted at Nandath's shoulder.
"Oh yeah! I can't wait to get up into the air. It'll be so cool! But I think me and Nandath are going to have to work on that a bit. He's a bit clumsy right now. But that's okay cause he's just a baby." And of course anything that the young brown would be perfectly fine. Melly snorted and climbed up on to T'by's shoulder. Should be happy now. Always looking not now. Say happy then. Be happy now. The little blue said with a nod. T'by giggled. "But we are happy now, Mels. How could we not be? Right, Rof'l?" He was so excited that his roommate was around his age and nice. This was going to be the best.

"Definately!" Rof'l said with a grin. "I mean, this is basically a once in a life time experience! I still can't beleive it! It's amazing to think that a dragon chose me out of all those other candidates, and more importantly, that it was my wonderful Kamath!" Rof'l rubbed Kamath's eye ridge just as he had his parent's dragon.
You are a good rubber. I picked well. Your parents taught you, correct? They would be very proud of you. You should be proud. Rof'l grinned. "Kamath is right. We should be proud. We did it!" He had done what was rarely done. He had Impressed a beautiful bronze dragon, something he had never expected.
He tucked his blonde hair behind his ear. As Kamath inspected the little salamandyr. But you are so tiny! Boys can't be so tiny, can they? Are you sure you are not just a blueish green? But you sound like a boy. This is strange. Why are you so much smaller than Creeper? You could fit in his mouth! I do not care. I like you. Yours was right, you are very nice. You are smarter than the firelizardthing. How come you don't talk like dragons and humans do? Is it because you are so small? This is a strange, strange world, with strange things that are much smaller than me. Why do you just crawl? Can't you fly?
Rof'l chuckled. "You are just full of questions, aren't you?" Kamath nodded. Of course! There is so much I have to know. If I do not know soon, I cannot be the smartest. I must be smarter than that mean little green and the bad brown. Good thing your Nandath isn't the bad brown.

T'by enthusiastically nodded. "Yeah! It's just so amazing. Although I could have done without Nandath tackling me." He giggled and rubbed at his shoulder, wincing a little. "But it's just cause he was enthusiastic I guess. He's pretty enthusiastic. And once he wakes up, I'm sure he'll show you. He loves talking but it's okay cause so do I." He scratched at his brown's eyeridges, a tender smile coming on to his face as he looked down to the slumbering hatchling. The only thing that could have made this any better would have been his parents here to see him. Maybe they could? He sighed quietly and happily sat by his brown, grinning up at Rof'l.
My kind tiny. Queens tiny too. I boy. Blue is boy, yes? Yes. Creeper big fat stupidbullyflyer. I not stupidflyer. I crawler. No talk like dragon because not dragon. Crawler. Dragon talk dragon and crawler talk crawler. Flyers fly, crawlers crawl. I crawl. Like crawl. Crawl faster than flyer can fly. Yes can. And to demonstrate, Melly shot down T'by's side and up Kamath's leg. He settled on the young bronze's head, giving a nod. Crawl fast. T'by snickered softly, "Didn't think Melly could talk that much. He's typically really quiet. Kinda the opposite of me."

"Yeah, Kamath pinned me down too. He was more getting away from the--"
The evil ugly green and the horrible brown! Kamath was surging with energy and curiousity of a new hatchlings. How are queens tiny? And I thought, maybe it was different for you little ones. Or maybe you just looked blue in that light. So there are dragons and crawlers and fliers? Are all fliers like Creeper? I like crawlers much better.
The little creature crawled up Kamath's leg, perching on his head. That tickles! Yes, you are a very fast crawler! I like you. Rof'lmine, let us go get a salamandyr too. Now. You must find a queen somewhere who has clutched. We can fly up to the northern continent. You must get me one! They are very smart and interesting and fast.
Rof'l laughed. "Okay, one it doesn't really work that way. Two, I can't fly on you yet. I may not be able to carry you, but I don't think you can carry me either!" Rof'l nodded at T'by. "Yeah, I talk a lot. Kamath is a bit chatty right now because you are both new to him and he is curious. Earlier, he was not so chatty."
[Yes, I must learn all there is to know. That green cannot be so cruel if I know more than she does, right Rof'lmine? Rof'l laughed. "Sure, Kamath. Sure. You're way better than her, so it doesn't even matter, though."

All flyers different. Crawlers and Dragons different too. One dragon not like other dragon. Just unlucky that stupidbullyflyer is stupidbully. Know crawlers that stupidbullies too. Glad you're not stupidbullydragon. I like you and Your's. Good MineFriends. Melly stated calmly with a nod of his head as T'by giggled more.
The weyrling smiled at Kamath, "He is pretty curious. But that's good. It means he wants to learn. I bet, when he gets big, he's going to be really really smart because he'll know everything." He paused and looked back down to Nandath, who was still peacefully asleep. "You know, Nandath was running from an evil green too. I wonder if it was the same one or if all the greens are evil! That would be bad if they were all evil."

Thank you, Melly. If any flyer or crawler or even dragon tried to be stupidbully to you, I will protect you. At T'by's comment, Rof'l nodded. "Yeah, he wants to be really smart. He wants to know everything." Kamath shook his head. I don't have to know anything, just enough to be smarter than, well, that stupidbullygreen! He seemed to like that phrase, and picked it up easilly.
Yes! Greens are all bad! Why are they so mean? What did they do to poor Nandath? Evil green scratched my nose. I am glad he is the good brown, not the bad brown who was also mean. Kamath still held resentment towards his humiliating treatment by the 'evil' pair. Evil stupidbullygreen and stupidbullybrown. I don't mean Nandath, of course. I hope they don't talk to me again, or I will get very, very angry!
