“ How much oil should I use?” Kaius asked, eyeing the oil in front of him, and then Kaiusk who was sitting expectantly in front of him. He wasn’t asking the wher. If it had been up to her, then her boy would have used allll the oil he had. Fortunately for the awkward boy, there was a Sena sitting near him in the common room. Kaius was currently perched on the floor, puzzling over the oil. Hurrryyyyyy! Kaiusk wailed, nudging his hand with her nose, startling him and causing him to spill all of the oil on her. Most of it landed on the ground, and Kaius was quick to react. “ Quick, Sensk! Roll on the floor before fatty gets it all!” Oh, how Kaiusk was glaring at him then.
Covered in oil, the boy stood up. It was dripping from his pants. “ Thanks.” He said sarcastically, glareing at Sena for a moment. “ What am I supposed to do now? I can’t walk around all day as some nasty oil monster. Kaiusk was laughing at him, making her way gingerly out of the oil pool that she had caused, rubbing against Kai’s legs. You’ll pay for that comment. Now rub the oil in. “ But…but, I’m covered in it. I need to wash it off!” The boy whined. You were the one who spilled it all over the place. And you called me fat. Me first. Grumbling, the boy got to his knees and started to rub the oil into his wher’s scales, glancing to Sena after a moment. “ Where’s Syd off to, anyway? I’m sure she would have been thrilled to see my epic fail.” Behind my head knobs, please, if you will. Sighing, Kaius rubbed her there, probably rubbing a bit harder than he should have. The wher didn’t complain though. She was crooning in pleasure at the moment.

“Well,” Sena said, not bothering to look up at Kaius from where she was curled up with an oil rag in one hand, a small clear bottle of yellow oil in the other, and a Sensk sprawled in her lap, “It shouldn’t be a lot, y’know, just,” she popped the cork between her teeth, attempting to show Kaius, which was difficult since Sensk was very definitely in the way, but whatever, “Li’ th—” The sound of oil and a bottle hitting the floor made her head jerk up like a puppet, eyes going wide at the sight of Kaius and Kaiusk coated in oil. Sensk, who’d cringed against her automatically at the sound, blinked, owlish and startled, and made an amused sound in his throat, wiggling back against Sena more comfortably again.
Sister wasn’t fatty, he corrected, offering the gold a croon, his eyes shading to pleasant greens, but he was overridden by Sena, cork dropping from her mouth heedlessly onto Sensk’s spine to roll down onto the couch, bursting out laughing at Kaius, wrinkling her nose at the greasy smell of the oil. Her amusement renewed by Kaiusk’s continued demands, she flopped back against the couch, oil tucked safely in her palm, and inhaled in order to answer, voice strained with the effort of not laughing, “Gotta cater to her, y’know, that’s a real creative way to oil a wher I think…ain’t never seen anyone guess to use themselves as a rag before.”
She flicked a glance at Azazel, who was tucked quietly across the room—the only way Sensk could really manage to cope with the Razorclaw; otherwise Azzy terrified Sensk and it wasn’t like Sena could exactly give either of them up, especially since Azzy insisted on being perpetually with her as much as Sensk did—to make sure he was still there (he was; where else was he going to go? Everywhere else was just awful), and, more seriously, added, “Syd’s on shift at the Infirmary, she oughta be back in a coupla hours I think…I figure the retelling’ll still be at least half as funny as the first go-round, right?”
Sensk nudged against her elbow—much more gently than Kaiusk had—and she blurted out an “Oh” of remembrance, pouring oil onto the rag and tilting Sensk’s head towards her to start at the curve of his muzzle. Different from oiling a dragon because there was so much less, but that was just a good thing, Sena figured. And Sensk’s wings weren’t ticklish like Vhirkaath’s had been, either. “You best not go trackin’ oil into our room,” she added to Kaius, raising an eyebrow at him, “You’re like the abominable oil monster, or somethin’, c’mere—I bet you’re all slimy, I want to see—”

They are making a mess, Sesk commented to Serissa with a touch of humor as the pair slid into the common room. "They are indeed," Serissa murmured. She still hadn't gotten the hang of mental communication, and she wasn't sure she ever would, honestly. You couldn't talk to a Wher the way you talked to a dragon, and her connection to Sesk was so tentative that she couldn't even find it sometimes. Just forming the words with her mouth helped, even if Sesk wouldn't be able to understand her without the benefit of the mental connection. Daniel chirped in affirmation before Serissa waved him off her shoulder, sending him up to the rafters opposite Azazel. Razorclaws made him nervous, but the Brown knew when it was his job to watch and listen, not be a shoulder attachment.
She was just going to head back to her room and oil Sesk there (the sight of the oil had prompted a feeling of itchiness for Sesk and Serissa both), but the comment about Sydney stopped her. "Yep, she's off at 10. Might be late tonight, though, it looked like some of the 'brats came down with firehead, if she gets tied up with one of them she'll have her hands full until 10:30 or 11." Serissa herself had gone over for an hour since they needed an extra pair of hands, but things were quieting down now... unless anyone else came down with it. And that was that, time to head back to her room, so she chucked the towel she was carrying at Kaius and turned to go.
Sesk had other ideas, though. She'd brushed past her handler when Serissa first stopped to mention Sydney's schedule, and had promptly clambered up on the couch next to her twin, draping her neck over Sensk's and nudging the bottle of oil in Sena's hand. Sorry to be a bother, but her wing joints were practically on fire, and it would just take too long for Serissa to go all the way back to her room. Maybe Sena could spare a bit, while Serissa went and got the oil, or at least momentarily soothe the itchys?
For her part, Serissa very nearly grunted, but managed to keep it in at the last moment. She didn't like these kids (not that she'd really given them a chance, but they all reminded her of young her, just after impressing Ildyth). She really didn't want to spend more time with them than necessary, especially with Sena, who Sesk constantly caused her to want. They were all so little, so teenaged. Oiling their whers in the common room, of all places, and spilling immediately. Kaius was lucky the floor was stone, and that he wasn't on a couch like Sena. Not cute. Still, though, she didn't want to leave without Sesk, in case Sesk didn't leave and she had to come back. "Um. You don't have to oil her, I can do that in my room."

When he heard voices and general merriment from the common room Vivano simply assumed it was the terrible trio (as he’d come to think of Kaius, Sena, and Syd) and decided to just carry on his way to get a fresh set of clothes and a quick wash, tending plants at night seemed to be far messier than it was in the daytime, or maybe it was only the fact that he now had a large clumsy young wher to attempt to help him. While Vivano examined leaves, poured water, and harvested the fruits, leaves, and stems of his labour Vivask had been busy messing around. The bronze had insisted he was practicing his running so he wouldn’t trip himself up and look the fool quite so often when Sydsk wasn’t around to help him but either way the result was loose earth being scattered all over Vivano until he firmly asked Vivask to practice somewhere else for a bit.
The bronze wher in question had other ideas than his handler and trotted carefully, lifting each foot up well clear of any possible unevenness that might trip him; he also kept close to the right hand wall as a way to avoid stumbling into the wall on his blind side. He certainly wasn’t going to let his clutch siblings have so much fun without him. Emboldened by his successful trip up the corridor Vivask bounded into the common room, flaring his wings and crooning a happy greeting to the other whers. Or at least that was his plan. What really happened was that Vivask bounded into the room, tripped over his own feet, and flailed his wings and gloriously faceplanted into the spilled oil. Er…Hi…? The bronze still offered a slightly confused croon to his siblings from his position on the floor with his tail end in the air.
Once he realised he no longer had a Vivask trailing him Vivano turned to look for his wher, and a flash of surprise, pain, and confusion clued him in to the fact that his wandering wher had suffered another of his bouts of clumsiness. Vivano rushed along the corridor, and skidded to a halt just inside the common room door, anxious to make sure Vivask hadn’t really hurt himself this time. The sight that greeted him however stopped him dead. For some reason there was oil everywhere, except on the whers it seemed, Vivask was lying in the mess in the most undignified pose ever, Kaius was covered in the stuff and had apparently just had a towel thrown at him, and Sena and Serissa both showed some exasperation. After a moment of silence, Vivano did the only thing he could; he burst into helpless hysterical laughter.
Vivask let out a plaintive whine, although he’d wounded nothing but his pride. Wasn’t it sad? The bronze appealed to his siblings. Vavask could be hurt here with his bonded laughing at him. Vivano caught enough of that hint to get himself under control, though as he moved forward to haul Vivask to his feet more than a hint of mirth still lurked about Vivano’s features. ‘What in the world happened in here?’ he asked without risking eye contact with anyone as it would only start him laughing again.

thank you my lovely brother. Kaiusk crooned happily in Sensk's direction, stretching out her overlarge wings. She really was quite pleased with her clutchsiblings, even silly Cainisk. Casanask and Sensk were personal favorites though. What? She could have favorites.
Things went very quickly for poor Kaius, on the other hand. First Sena started laughing at him. This was met with only mild irritation by the new gold handler, because she was his friend and he was used to her laughing at him. In response, he lifted a hand and flung some oil in her general direction. It didn't matter if any of the stuff got on her because he would chuckle anyway. " Ha! Serves you ri...." He didn't even get to finish this because soon after, Serissa was in the room. Kaius grinned broadly at her. " Want some oil, Serissa? I have plenty to spare." Not really. It's all on the ground over there. Speaking of, rub it in more, please. Kaius did as he asked, always a sucker for a pretty girl. Speaking of, one was talking now, about another. Hm.
" Ah. I heard about that." He said, making sure to rub well around Kaiusk's headknobs. The gold was positively crooning with how pleased she was at the moment. " I hope she gets back soon. I need her to yell at Sena for me." He lifted his head to wink at his friend when Sesk lifted herself up onto the couch. Kaius watched the green. She and Serissa had an odd relationship. It's like it wasn't even there at all. I don't think it is. Kaiusk said matter of factly. And you're always right, are you? What do you know? You're just a baby. The gold snorted. Don't be daft, mylove. The green had a super close bond with her brother, to Kaiusk's eternal ire. She liked comforting her blue sibling. The girl didn't even blood for my clutchsibling. Kaius wanted to know how she knew this before he realized he had been unconscious during this part of the hatching. Oh well.
He caught the towel Serissa threw him with ease and was returning to his oiling when Vivask came in, or rather, slid in. Kaius blinked as the bronze skidded across the floor, Kaiusk, on the other hand, jumped to her feet, nearly causing Kaius to fall over in her haste to get to her brother. Oh, are you alright bronzebrothermine? Are you hurttt? She crooned lightly, fluttering about Vivask like a mother hen. Kaius wasn't interested in the wher, because his handler was standing there. Laughing at him. The younger boy frowned slightly, not wanting to say what happened, but he knew if he didn't, Sena would tell on him.
" Kaiusk knocked the oil out of my hand and onto the floor. That's all. Look at it this way." The boy said, eyeing the bronze wher. " At least you won't need to fetch your own oil to oil Vivask. Always a silver lining, you see?" The boy turned his attention to Kaiusk fluttering around Vivask.
Interesting.

Sensk tipped his head at Kaiusk and then at Kaius as the boy flicked drops of oil at Sena—which fell short, onto the convenient puddle of blue wher in her lap. Not that Sensk was upset; he’d already learned that Kaius and Kaiusk were good, the same way Sydney and Sydsk were in addition to his sister and Hers, and he offered Kaius a goofy wrinkle of lips, an attempt at a grin. He started a little at Sesk and Serissa’s entrances, tilting his head backwards to hum a greeting at his sister and a shyer one to Serissa. Sesk clambering up onto the couch earned another pleased sound, and Sensk wriggled around so he could nudge her shoulder cheerfully in a better greeting.
Sena, meanwhile, threw a swift grin at Serissa before Sesk distracted her with the request, and she reached out to the green, offering to both wher and Serissa, “’s not a big deal, she’s already up here anyway and I got oil. Sensk ain’t itchy either, so ’m not in a hurry or anything.” She dabbed a spot of oil onto the curve where Sesk’s wing joined shoulder, and then began to rub it in, propping an elbow on Sensk’s back for support, “’bout here o—oh stop!”
The warning came far too late, blurted out instinctively when Vivask was already halfway through his graceless tumble; Sena’s eyes went wide again and at Vivask’s plaintive greeting, a startled giggle broke out of her throat, and she clapped an oily hand over her mouth instinctively. Not that it mattered, since Vivano had just arrived and promptly burst out laughing loudly enough to drown her out anyway. Sensk blinked, looking utterly bemused but unwilling to move with Sesk and Sena both touching him, watching Kaiusk hover around Vivask before he offered an amused sooo sad, but at least you’re all oiled already now, yes?
“If you leave that oil there nobody’s gonna need their own oil for like a week,” Sena tacked on to Kaius’s comment helpfully, arching an eyebrow at him teasingly as she returned to rubbing the oil down the joint of Sesk’s wings. “And anyway you oughta give yourself more credit, you looked real graceful flailin’ around.” A grin to take (most of) the sting out of the words. “Y’all should bring oil and stuff and come in here, it can be like an impromptu party. Though I guess you only need oil if you don’t like it off the floor, otherwise there’s plenty.”

Vivask's... less than graceful entrance made Serissa smirk (well, really, it looked more like she was in pain than anything pleasant, but at least it was similar to a smile?) as she looked around for the handler. At least Vivano was her age, and Cainith was even older. Serissa didn't usually go in for mountain men, or men of any sort really, but maybe she should make an exception and they could form a clique of their own. Or Serissa and Sesk could just be lone wolves. Yeah, that sounded much better. Still, Vivano got a little half-wave of greeting as Kaius and Sena explained the situation.
Vivano, with all his laughter, just made Serissa grumpier, though. Assuming Sena's invitation was for Vivano and Vivask, she gestured at her green mindmate, saying, "C'mon, Sesk. Stop bothering Sena." It was time to extricate themselves from the situation, let the others enjoy themselves. I'm not bothering her, the green replied, she said so, and anyway Sensk doesn't want me to go. Serissa made a face - what she wouldn't give to have mastered non-verbal communication with a wher. "We're leaving," she muttered instead, low enough that the rest of the humans would have a hard time understanding. I don't want to, Sesk reiterated, stretching a wing away from Sena with a grateful purr. It feels good.
Shooting her wher a dark look, Serissa stalked away without further conversation, heading back towards her room. Forgive her, Sesk offered to the room at large, She just needs a moment and will be back soon. Vivask, are you alright?

Vivask was still not one hundred per cent sure how he’d ended up on the floor but Kaiusk’s reaction to his sudden presence caused the bronze to slowly and melodramatically flop onto his side in the puddle. Why no sisterlove, his pride was broken and his dignity severely dislocated. Couldn’t she see that? Vivask had chosen the wrong side to flop onto, leaving him blind eye up, with a view of floor, oil, and feet, so he simply rolled onto his back to look at Kaius, Sensk, and Sesk. Did they know they were all upside down?
Vivano watched bemused as Vivask made a bigger fool of himself by lounging on his back like a giant puppy. Sometime he despaired of ever making that wher grow up, it was as unlikely as… as Kaius growing up. ‘You really know how to make a giant mess, Kaius.’ He said at the end of the boy’s brief explanation. ‘I was actually planning to wash and change before any of that stuff. Vivask said he’s fine, although I guess he’s already partially oiled now…’ As if to respond to that statement Vivask rolled onto his other side in the puddle. All done, see?
Vivano resisted an urge to smack his head and allowed the thought. Get up you silly beast. to float to the surface of his mind. Vivask cheerfully responded that he was happy where he was with his sisters paying attention to him and Vivano prodded the great bronze lump gently in the flank with the toe of his boot. ‘Up clown.’ He said aloud. ‘I’d better rub that in now you’ve rolled in it don’t you think? I guess it’s floor oil for Vivask.’ He added to Sena.
Vivask slowly rolled to his feet and nudged Sesk with his muzzle. Humans were strange were they not? He despaired of ever getting Vivano trained up properly. Speaking of, should he send Vivano out to fetch Sesk’s human? He could, probably… While the bronze wher asked this Vivano got to work attempting to rub enough oil for a dragon or two, or so it seemed, into Vivask’s tough hide.

He was a little upset that his attempts at flinging oil at Sena were in vain, not that he’d ever tell her this. He smiled back at Sensk’s attempt at a grin and returned to looking at Kaiusk, who was still hovering around Vivask like he was dying or something. The gold wherlet crooned in concern at her brother. I’m so sorry! She said lightly, pausing to look down on him as he rolled around in the oil. I’m not sure what to do to help you with your pride and dignity, brothermine. She said with a little amusement. She was glad that he wasn’t hurt at least, even if his handler did come right over and KICK HIM!
Kaiusk wanted to howl when Vivask’s decided it was a good idea to kick her brother, but she looked appropriately distressed that a howl wasn’t strictly necessary at the moment.
“ Get over here, Ai.” Kai said. Kaiusk looked back and forth between her boy to her brother and finally decided to pad back to Kaius, flopping down near him, so he could finish oiling her. Still, she couldn’t really pull her gaze completely from Vivask. Kaius, on the other hand, couldn’t keep himself from glaring at Sena. “ Yeah. You’re a lot of help, Sena. Really.” Here he was trying not to make a bigger fool of himself, and she wasn’t helping any.
He blinked as Serissa unceremoniously stalked out of the room. “ What’s her problem.” He mumbled lightly, not really to anyone in particular. No one had ever been outright hostile to the former rider, but she seemed to be mad at the entire world, and she didn’t seem to like them too much. Normally, he wouldn’t give a shit…but it mattered to him now because of who the girl’s mindmate was.
Still, at least most of them were still around, right? Vivano didn’t seem intent on ruining his mood at the moment, so he looked curiously at the other wherling. “ How’s living with…” He looked to Sena for help briefly. “…Cainith…right? He seems to be an interesting fellow.”

So it wasn’t like she hadn’t heard why Serissa was…what Serissa was like, because the gossip that circulated the Weyr was nothing if not devastatingly thorough, but Sena still frowned at the woman’s departure, nose crinkling slightly. What was she, allergic to laughter or something? Still, damper or not she recovered enough to flash a grin at Kaius, ever-so-maturely fluttering her eyelashes at his disgruntled comment and chirping, “Ain’t that what friends are for…” in faux-innocent tones and flicking a dimpled smile at Vivano too, shyer. The man was so much older after all—like Serissa and Cainith and it was just sort of weird that their class was so thoroughly split in ages wasn’t it.
In any case Sensk seemed content to wriggle against her warmly, smearing oil against her thighs and stomach where he was sprawled, watching his clutchsiblings with quiet amusement, eyes quiet blue-greens as he nuzzled his head against Sesk’s spine, mumbling a contented noise, so Sena allowed herself a moment of distraction in looping her arms around the blue wher and smoothing an oily palm down his side. “You want me to hit up anywhere else lovely?” she directed at Sesk, adding an absentminded hum of agreement to Kaius’s question for Vivano—confirmation that she was pretty sure that was the guy’s name.
Which she should probably know.
But really he was really big and a little bit scary and she just sort of thought of Cainith as mountain and shyly maneuvered around him as much as possible, so. Cainsk, Sensk agreed amiably, and squirmed around to croon at Vivask and Kaiusk, yes, that’s right. Brother, brother, don’t you know you’ll melt into oil if you stay like that too long? Where he’d gotten that idea Sena hadn’t the faintest idea, and she looked appropriately bemused by the playful broadcast, but Sensk only crooned at Vivask as punctuation, and let his mouth fall open into a puppyish pant, tongue swiping up Sena’s wrist affectionately. Oooooil. Please?
“His girlfriend around a lot?” she added to Kaius’s question, genuinely casually curious, “She is his girlfriend right, that chick with the red hair? She’s real pretty.” Not that Sena knew Ivy (and she did have to question the Candidate’s taste in men because each to her own and all that but Cainith was just scary), but she’d lived in the same room as her for a while there so yeah, there was recognition and what have you. “I hope she’s his girlfriend, it’d be super awkward if they weren’t ’cause I think I always call her that…”

Cainith was sitting in his room, staring from his place at his desk to where Cainsk was lying on his bed, staring back at his handler with his gem-like eyes swirling blue-green. Over the few weeks since the hatching, Cainith and Cainsk had been checking the other over, figuring out how exactly their relationship would work, and it had finally settled in that they would occasionally have contests of rudeness, practicing their mental bonds while also seeing who could tease the other worse, since apparently the blue wher was quite a bratty little thing. "You know, I could ride you if you weren't so scrawny," Cainith sent at his wher, and his wher quickly responded with a picture of Cainsk looking proud and perfect, and Cainith looking huge and bloated, like a herdbeast on two legs. Slowly, the image morphed, growing horns and a muzzle, hands and feet replaced by hooves, until the image-Cainith WAS a herdbeast, except with a beard and clothing. Cainith chuckled, and was about to retort when suddenly his concentration was interrupted by the sound of Vivask's hysterical laughter echoing through the apartments.
Scratching his head, Cainith said, "Huh, sounds like someone's having a good time without us, Cainsk. Let's go check it out." Getting up from his chair, he began walking towards the door, when he noticed Cainsk wasn't getting up. "Come on, ya little lazy runt, let's go," he said, and in response Cainsk rolled further into his handler's bed, wrapping himself in the furs until only his muzzle protruded, his eyes reflecting the dim light in the room with an amused swirl of blue and green. "Fine, if you want it that way," started Cainith, who then walked over and heaved the entire bundle, furs and wher combined, onto his shoulder, and walked out the door with his faintly struggling bundle in tow.
Walking down the hallway, a fur from his wher-filled bundle ended up flopping over his face, and when he had cleared it he found himself nearly running over Serissa, walking the opposite direction. Screeching to a halt, nearly dumping Cainsk off his shoulder, he chuckled apologetically and said, "Oh, sorry about that... er... Serissa, right?" Looking around, he scratched his head and asked, "Where's... um... Sesk?" he asked, as Cainsk sent him an image of his green clutchsibling, followed by a question mark.

Oh no, Sesk told Sena, unfailingly polite. If Vivask wouldn't mind, she'd appreciate if His could bring Serissa back. She'd just wait here with Sensk, Serissa was certain to bring oil with her when Vivask's brought her back. Stretching the wing Sena had oiled, Sesk nudged Vivask back, then curled her tail over Sensk's haunches, content to let the various beings in the room chatter on. Eyes shaded from muted green to pale blue, with a hint of yellow here and there when her thoughts turned towards her handler. Oh Serissa, she sent to her handler down the hall, what is your Sesk to do with you?
It seemed, however, that dispatching Vivano would not be necessary. Eyes down as she angrily tried to blink back sudden, irrational tears, Serissa very nearly ran smack into Cainith. Some instinct caused her to sidestep at the last moment, so she narrowly avoided the much larger man, but as she tried to breeze past him she discovered that a) he took up most of the hallway and b) he was talking to her. "Serissa, yeah," she said, doing her level best to sound polite instead of on the verge of tears. She tried to brush past again, but his second question brought her up short. "Sesk?" Glancing behind her, she furrowed her brow, looking back towards the common room, which had quieted from laughter into amiable chatter. "She was right behind me. That little..." She trailed off, eying the door. "Well. If she's not coming I'd better do what she wants, no?" she asked Cainith, fully aware that she was most likely coming off as quite odd to her fellow Wherling. Whatever, it had been a long time since she cared what anyone thought of her.
This time, she did brush by Cainith. Once she'd cleared the older man's, she called back with a touch of her old playfulness, "They're having an oiling party in there, in the worst way possible. Oil everywhere, I'd suggest leaving the bedroll behind if you don't want to be especially well moisturized." And with that, she disappeared into the room she shared with Casandra.

Cainith scratched his head a bit in confusion at Serissa's enigmatic words, then shrugged and headed down until he entered the common room proper. "Swinging herdbeast's bollocks, what's going on here?" he exclaimed as his eyes set upon the strange scene before him. "Oil party" was right, apparently. Feeling the mental presence of his clutchmates, Cainsk struggled until finally Cainith relented and carefully transferred the bundle from his shoulder to the floor, then tugging on a free end so that it unraveled across the floor, depositing a dizzy Cainsk on the common room floor, just short of the oil slick. Glaring back at his now-chuckling handler, Cainsk sent an image of himself depositing a dropping on Cainith's sleeping head, then turned to greet his clutchmates with a croon.
Cainsk looked at his bronze and gold clutchsiblings, and sent each of them mental images in turn showing the respective wher sitting, with a bottle of oil slowly drizzling onto their head. Then, the image shifted so the oil bottle exploded, coating them and the floor with oil. The image then faded, replaced with a question mark.

Casandra had actually heard the noise and laughter the other wherlings were making, but had been tentative to join them. She didn't really have any close friends, and was honestly scared to mingle. Some of them had known her in her candidate days, and she had been a right nasty- No, don't think of that! Casansk commanded. I love you, and that is all you need, is that right? That is right I am sure, so no thoughts of the kind! Casandra grinned and scratched the brown's head in appreciation. The wher was right of course, she would be fine as long as she had Casansk.
After ignoring the other's for some time, Casansk peered up at Casandra furitivly. If you didn't mind, could we maybe go visit my sisters and brothers? I do love them so and I wish them a good day. Casandra smiled in amusment at Casansk. She had grown used to his kindness and wish to infect others with his inate sense of joy, but still she could not deny them. "Maybe for a little bit." Oh thank you! Lets hurry please!
"Hi everyone," Casandra said once she reached the group, smiling slightly and nodding her head. "What are you all up to?" Brothers! Sisters! How are you all doing on this fine day! You all look very healthy, I am sure your humans are taking care of you? Oh sister mine, Casansk intoned, turning cheerfully to Kaiusk, your's does such a fine job oiling your hide, it shines so brightly! Perhaps yours could teach mine how it is done?

Vivask blinked slowly at his golden sister and reached out a paw to pat her on the foreleg as if they were both human. Do not worry sister, Vivask’s pride and dignity would be restored soon. Happily those things regenerated. Vivano got a terrible look from his wher though as Kaiusk’s face took on the most devastated look. How could Vivano upset his goldsister? Just look at her! The bronze scolded in disgusted emotions and accusing images.
Vivano gave Kaiusk a glance and tried hard not to smile at her expression and Vivask’s reaction to it. Well tell her you’re not hurt and she’ll stop worrying. Vivano formed the thought carefully and got a snort as a response from his wher and the idea that he was supposed to feel guilty, not Vivask.
Vivano shrugged at the sudden inquiry as to his giant roommate. ‘He’s alright I suppose, a bit noisy. I really thought I’d passed the stage in my life where I’d have roommates though.’ Vivano lamented having to keep a roommate with a sigh and reminded himself that it wasn’t for long, only until Vivask was grown. ‘Well we haven’t had any long, personal conversations going on but I guess she’s his girlfriend. I can’t think why he’d be grabbing her for every night time social event if she wasn’t. Can’t imagine why she’d want to come otherwise, especially since I get the feeling she doesn’t care for whers much.’ Now there was an opinion Vivano couldn’t grasp, most likely because he’d never wanted anything but a wher in his life. No indeed, Vivask was not his second choice.
Melt into oil? Vivask snorted again and flared one wing out for his handler’s attention. Sensk would melt into Sena if he kept pressing so close, two would be one, yes indeed they would. Hrmm? Vivask curved his neck around to look at Sesk with his good eye. Why yes, yes he could. Turning to Vivano the bronze impressed upon the human that he must go and fetch Sesk’s right now. He was not amused by the response Why? Because, that was why. Vivano agreed with amusement and patted the wher’s oil soaked hide.
Before Vivano could even rise to go after Serissa however, the room started filling up more. A lot more. He decided he didn’t even want to ask why Cainith was carrying Cainsk wrapped up in furs, for all he knew that could be Cainth’s favoured form of entertainment. He had to admit the blue didn’t look amused though. ‘We thought the place needed a swimming pool so we’ve started on one for the whers.’ Vivano answered his roommate’s query blandly, working hard to keep the amusement off his face. Casandra got a wave of one oily hand as a greeting. ‘Wher party? We just need Sydney.’ He suggested, although the missing wherling was likely still working.
Vivask replied to Cainth with an image of the room when he entered, as shown from the view of a wher falling in an oil puddle. Not informative really but he hadn’t seen it generated. Apparently it was all Kaius’s fault. Casansk was greeted with a short bark and a tilt of the bronze wher’s head. Someone was happy brother, why was that?
