She wasn't supposed to be here, but then Isori really wasn't ever really known for following the rules very well. Or, actually. Isori was very well known for following the rules. Because when she broke them everyone thought she was Orena! But that wouldn't work very well here, since Orena was a world away. Either way ... rules were not something Isori payed a whole lot of attention to unless there was something she wanted that could be got by following them. The rest of the time? What she wanted was to be got by breaking them. So break them she did.
Like now, walking down the darkened halls after hours. She'd left her dragonet sleeping in her own quarters, snuggled down in a heap of clothes that Isori couldn't convince her were not there expressly for her to sleep on. But at least the important article was not dragon-oil soiled. Yet.
She had chosen now to come because there were fewer people about, and she didn't want to get M'kai in trouble. The poor guy was so scared of getting in trouble. She'd have to fix that for him someday. If she got the chance. But she'd finally finished her project, months that it had taken her to do it. Now it was time to deliver it, and hope it went over well.
Stopping at his door, she knocked swiftly and lightly, hoping that no one else would hear. If she hadn't been so keen on not upsetting him, she might just have walked in on him. If he'd been anyone else. But she didn't want that, so she followed decorum ... for now. Standing in the hall, she bounced on her toes and fingered the package in her hands, looking up and down to see if anyone was there to see her.
So far, so good. All clear. Was M'kai even awake?

It was late enough that M'kai was getting ready for bed, even if he wasn't planning on sleeping quite yet. Honestly, now that there weren't many Candidates at the exile Weyr, the Candidatemaster had found himself with too much time on his hands, and it meant that somehow he slept even less than normal. He'd been reading when he couldn't sleep, not something he was usually prone to but one of the few things he could think of to occupy the time between dusk and the wee hours of the morning when sleep finally found him. The knock didn't startle him, but it did confuse him; who would come see him at this hour? Cr'oph? Must be. Well, in that case, no need to put a shirt back on.
As soon as he opened the door, though, he re-thought that. Not Cr'oph; Isori. Glancing back into the room, he quickly determined that there wasn't a shirt nearby, and if he knew anything about Isori, she probably wouldn't mind, or be uncomfortable. If she was... well, he'd deal with that when it happened. For now, a hint of surprise still touched his voice. "Isori? What on Pern are you doing here at this hour?"
Stepping back from the door, he gestured her inside, waving her towards a chair. "Sorry, it's kind of a mess. I was getting ready for bed, and the only time I'm allowed to be messy is when Futh is sleeping." That cued a loving look towards the dragon's couch, where the big blue shape that was Futh snored lightly. Grabbing a discarded shirt, he pulled it over his head, then took a seat himself, spinning the chair so he sat in it backwards. Late night visitors apparently made the Dragonrider cheerful, and there was a distinct smile in his voice as he addressed her. "Sorry, I assumed you'd rather come in than talk in the hall. What can I do for you?"

Whatever Isori had been expecting, it hadn't been a shirtless M'kai. She couldn't help a small smile, despite the surprise of that presentation... of course his searching around for a shirt afterward didn't help any. Clearly he was just as surprised to see her. Naturally, since technically she wasn't even supposed to be here! "Oh, I finally had a bit of time that wasn't already regulated away for me. So ... here I am." Isori answered with a grin. "I brought you something." She gestured slightly with the bundle in her hands. She'd been working on it for months, in every spare moment she'd had. But she wasn't going to tell him that ... it would ruin the gift.
She stepped inside after him, and stepped toward the chair he'd indicated but didn't sit on it. Not yet, anyway. After he'd dressed and found himself a seat as well, she snickered at his question. "Sit there and look pretty." She answered, finally sitting down on the edge of the chair she was near. Setting the bundle down on her knees, she undid the string that held it shut, dropping it on the floor. "I'm sorry if I'm keeping you up, but you've seen my place ... a mess hardly bothers me." she mentioned with a small shrug, stripping the bit of cloth off of the gift. That, too, hit the floor as she unfolded and lifted the item for him to see.
It was a light jacket ... not good enough for riding in, but good enough for walking around in the crisper mornings. She'd harvested the fibers, spun them, and woven them. Which meant that it was a bit coarse looking ... because it was. She didn't have a real loom after all. But it had worked. After having fashioned the warm fabric into a jacket, even more tireless hours had gone into decorating it.
Across the back of the jacket was a massive, highly detailed blue dragon embroidered on. That, she'd had to get the supplies from the gather ... she had no way of dying blue thread. But it was done, and Isori rather thought it looked just like the lovely beast snoring away in the couch. She had actually considered putting his two lost pets on it, one on each shoulder. But she hadn't done it; she didn't want to remind him of their painful loss after all, even if she did feel guilty of their deaths. He had only sent them where they had died because she had asked him of her sister. She had wanted to honor them, but had opted out of the detailed embroidery she had originally planned. Instead, where he would probably never notice it, she had stitched their names to the inner seams of the arms ... honoring them, but yet in a way that he wouldn't really see it to be reminded and hurt.
Isori held the garment out to him, expecting him to take it. "It's for you." She said, hoping that he liked it.

Oh, he saw that smile. A smug little one of his own touched the Bluerider's mouth - he'd never really been insecure, but it was always good to have what you thought about yourself validated, especially by a pretty young woman. The comment about having time that wasn't regulated made him snort, but he reserved comment for now, preferring the second part of her sentence. "Something for me?" he asked, pausing halfway into his shirt to turn towards her, eyes picking out the package before he settled the garment in place.
Curious, he obeyed her instructions with a cocky smile and an exaggerated hair flip, crossing his arms on the back of the chair. "You're not keeping me up, I really wasn't planning on sleeping for a few hours yet. Especially not if you brought me..." He trailed off as she unfurled the jacket. He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting, if he was expecting anything - something small or simple, despite the size of the package. Food, maybe, or something for Futh. Something she'd found and thought he'd like, not something she'd clearly spent hours on. Certainly not that. M'kai was very rarely truly struck speechless, but he was right now, and it was all he could do to shut his gaping mouth and reach out for the jacket. Fingering the embroidery, he looked up at her after a moment. "Isori. This is beautiful. I'd say it's way too much, but... well. I don't plan on giving it back," he said, with a flash of a playful smile.
"Seriously, though, this is extraordinary work," he said, smiling hugely and really having to work hard to keep from jumping up and down like a little boy. Candidatemaster had to keep a shred of his dignity, if he could. "Thank you. How did you even...." he trailed off again, this time looking at her in pure admiration before swinging the jacket over his shoulders to try it on. "Perfect fit." Hopping up off his chair, he covered the distance between them in a stride, lifting her up out of the chair to kiss her full on the mouth, pulling her in tight. After a minute or two, though, he relaxed his grip, reluctantly backing away slightly (although he didn't actually let her go yet). "Sharding baby dragons," he murmured with a rueful smile. "How is Aikelyth, anyway?"

He liked it! Isori was so happy to see that he did, though she was somewhat surprised that he was that surprised. All the times he'd caught her working on the thing ... she'd feared that he'd seen it, known what it was. But his reaction said he'd never even imagined such a thing. She smiled happily, more pleased than she could have imagined at the positive reaction he had to the article.
"I'm glad you like it." She said finally, not bothering to say that she wouldn't have taken it back anyway. It was not only tailored just for him, but it was decorated just for him. No one else could have taken it. Isori felt like she couldn't be anything short of glowing, she was so happy that he liked it. She'd been worried he wouldn't like something so 'girly' as a decorated jacket. To see him so giddy! "I don't want to bore you with the details of textile work." She brushed off, well aware that even if she had explained how she'd made it ... only another crafter in that field would have understood half what she said.
"Perfect fit." He said. And it was! She hadn't thought she could be more pleased, but to see it fit him so well, she was. Perfect fit indeed! Seeing him start to move, she moved to stand up as he approached so swiftly, not entirely sure what he was about. But she wasn't wondering for long, easily following his tug upward and returning his kiss in full as she wrapped her arms around him ... and his jacket too. When he backed off, she smiled at him again and tilted her head ever so slightly.
Sharding baby dragons ... he sure wasn't very subtle was he? But that was okay! She liked that about him. Isori only hoped that in the time between now and when Aikelyth grew up ... well ... she hoped rather selfishly that he wasn't going to move on. "She's okay. Sleeping at the moment." Isori answered with an amused giggle. "She's growing like nothing I've ever seen, and boy is she a know it all!" She grinned and shrugged, but Aikelyth really wasn't what she really wanted to discuss. Not that she really had any particular topic in mind either, but ... baby dragons were baby dragons. He'd raised one already, she was pretty sure he knew all there was to know on the topic. "Since ... you weren't going to sleep for a few hours yet, is it okay if I visit for a little while?"
Of course the Weyrling master would have a fit if he knew, but Isori wasn't planning on telling him about her nighttime visits either.

Aikelyth was asleep, was she? M'kai's arms tightened again, pulling Isori a bit closer. He hadn't meant to, but now that he had her in his arms again he didn't exactly want to let her go. It'd been too long since the hatching already, especially with Cr'oph sleeping with that bluerider every chance he got. M'kai didn't like losing to his brother when it came to... well, anything. Reaching up to tuck a loose strand of brown hair behind Isori's ear, he kept the other arm around her waist as she talked, making the correct sort of approving noises. He was listening, he promised, or at least he was listening as much as was necessary to continue conversation. The rest of his brain was taken up with her face, her body, the way she fit into his arms (so if his eyes were a little doe-like and vacant, there was good reason).
"Visit?" he parroted when he realized she'd asked a question. "Oh - of course it's ok if you visit," he caught himself, signature smile sliding in to place. It widened a little as he added, "The Weyrlingmaster won't approve, I'm sure... but if any excuse is a good excuse, it's that you were spending time with the Candidatemaster. Assuming he even notices, I certainly won't tell." With a wink, he looped her arms around his neck and reached down to swing her legs into the air like she weighed nothing at all (being a dragonrider was good for something, it seemed). Depositing her on the bed with a debonair bow, he spun around to sit next to her. "I would like nothing better. I have to apologize, however; Kami requires one of the chairs, so we'll have to sit on the bed."
It was true, too. The razorclaw had woken to the sounds of humans talking, flitting over to perch on one of the chair backs. She cooed sleepily at the two of them, then her head dipped down to preen her chest feathers. M'kai just shrugged at her, considered making more small talk, and decided against it. Turning so he could place one hand on Isori's opposite side so he was leaning across her body, the Bluerider leaned in. Placing a gentle kiss on her lips, he murmured, "If baby dragons are asleep, and we go slow and careful..." Another kiss, "It may be that we could..." He trailed off then, burying one hand in her hair, pulling her bun out as he went, suddenly hungry. For all the Candidatemaster talked about being slow and careful, he wasn't doing an especially good job of heeding his own advice.

He wasn't paying attention to hardly a thing she said. Isori smiled slightly again as she looked at him, going over all the features of his face in his absently aware expression. At first she had suspected he was talking to Futh instead, but that idea was discarded as fast as it was thought. The Blue was asleep ... no faking over there. But! She did finally get an answer out of him. Of course that bit was important to him...
Nevermind that tidbit, she was quite happy to be allowed to visit him a little while. Standing there in his arms, held so tight and secure, she loved it. Every sensation both physical and otherwise. "Oh, you 'Masters have it in good rapport, then? Excellent." She giggled, willingly allowing him to move her arms upward. Gladly, she took a hold of his neck, grinning even broader when he picked her up. Tucking her head against his shoulder, Isori couldn't help an impish little "Wee!" as he turned them about and deposited her on the edge of the bed. "Hm, she can keep the chair I think." Isori answered with another grin and only a brief glance toward the bird. Leaning in toward him as M'kai moved in close, she moved one hand from his neck to his collar as she returned the kiss quite readily.
Kisses were harmless, weren't they? Surely they were harmless. This decided, she was more than happy to kiss him without hesitation. Sharding weyrlinghood. As much as she had wanted a dragon after Orena's impression ... she hadn't expected all the extra rules that went with it. She also hadn't expected being afraid to break them ... normally rules meant diddly to her.
But at what he said, and did after had Isori sucking in a sharp breath and then letting it all out again in a rush. "M'kai!" She did want him ... Faranth how she wanted him. It was all she could do to keep from completely complying with everything every touch suggested. She wanted to, shardit! But she had been told that such activity could hurt Aikelyth... did sleeping really matter that much? Isori groaned, clinging to him and reveling in the sensations he was giving her. She hadn't come here for this, but could she say no? Really? She didn't want to! Slow ... slow ... right. Slow. But ... realistically? She didn't think either one of them were going to be capable of 'slow'. Isori kissed him again to forestall having to think about it anymore. She didn't even understand why it would hurt Aikelyth. Why would it, really? There was nothing more natural.
Slow and careful ... right. Slow and careful. Isori clung to him tightly, though it was a double edged sword. She didn't want slow and careful. She wanted M'kai! But holding on so tight would also slow things down at the same time, simply on principle of pinning their clothes in place. That didn't stop her from playing in his hair as well, or marching kisses down the side of his neck, ending with her face buried into the collar of the very jacket she'd just made for him.

Well, that had gone well, M'kai couldn't help but think. And since Isori wasn't pulling back or panicking, he had to assume that Aikelyth was not having some sort of fit. He was a little surprised, actually - he'd had a brief (very brief) fling while Futh was immature, and the Blue had thrown the only tantrum M'kai had known him to throw that did not involve dirt and then refused to speak to His for a week. A lot of talking, apologizing, and begging had ensued, and the pair had gotten over it, but there was no way Futh was going to let M'kai do anything before he was ready for it. Futh wasn't an especially possessive dragon, but was a Weyrling, he had not wanted to share His. Of course, at the time the Blue had been awake and in the room with M'kai and Whateverhernamewas. Still... it couldn't hurt to have him on the lookout.
Futh? M'kai asked, mentally jabbing at the dragon as he momentarily came up for air, Aikelyth. Can you keep.... He trailed off as his attention was stolen again, the occupation of his mouth cutting off his mindvoice just as it would actual physical speech. Kisses down the neck... he liked that. A lot. Yes M'kaiMineLove? Can I keep...?[/i] a sleepy voice asked, breaking his concentration again. Luckily, Isori seemed involved enough not to notice M'kai's momentary mental absence. Oh yeah. Sorry. Can you keep an eye out for Aikelyth? Make sure she's ok? I'm going to.... Pay attention, M'kaiMineLove, or I will go back to sleep. Arrrgh, Futh, this is hard enough without you being grumpy, too. Well something is certainly hard. Shut up, wiseass. I'm going to try to keep this from going too far, but just in case? The dragon just made a Humphing noise from his couch and turned his back on the humans, which M'kai took as an affirmative. Good. With Futh shielding the baby Green, maybe she'd sleep through all this and never know.
With that in mind, M'kai pretty much gave up on the idea of "slow and careful". He didn't know what Isori's Green was feeling, so he figured he couldn't be held accountable (yes, he was fully aware of how irresponsible he was being, but somehow, with Isori clinging to him like that, he couldn't quite bring himself to care). He'd pay close attention to the Weyrling, and if anything seemed to be wrong, he'd stop. Yeah. That would totally work. So, in the theme of paying close attention to Isori, M'kai eased her down onto the bedfurs, urging her back with kisses that increased gently in pressure. Once he got her in to a more comfortable position, he slid hand along the front side of her hip, teasing his fingers up under the hem of her shirt. Cause obviously if she didn't have a shirt on it would be easier to keep an eye on her. Of course.

Isori hummed happily in M'kai's arms, returning kiss for kiss, allowing him to move her down to the furs. She certainly wasn't going to protest, no. Once she was down, she let go of him for the most part, reaching up to pull her copious quantities of hair out from behind her shoulders where it was liable to get stuck or pulled. But once there with her hands up behind her head, she grinned at him and giggled just a bit as she struck a pose in the furs for him. But it didn't last very long after he started messing around under her shirt.
Without even thinking twice about it she arched her back and peeled the shirt off over her head, tossing it to one side. She gave it an extra flick when it refused to let go of her hand at first. So much for keeping her clothes on! It clearly wasn't on her mind anymore, certainly not as she promptly grabbed him by the front of his new jacket and hauled him down for another kiss as she proceeded to peel it off of him. As good as it looked on him, it was time for it to come off! Along with that shirt he'd just put on, as well. Time for that to go, too.
In any event, she was too distracted to notice the disgruntled feelings that were starting to crawl out of Aikelyth, who was starting to twitch in her sleep. But the young green didn't wake up, instead staying asleep with her decidedly out of the norm dreams that were making her twitch in odd directions. The blanket that Isori had draped over her slipped off to one side as one of her wings drooled down to the floor.

Sexy pose on his bed was good... enthusiastically shirtless Isori was better. M'kai had plenty of experience in bed, and he could bring it to bear if need be, but it didn't look like he'd need to tonight, so he stopped worrying about it and focused on enjoying himself. Instead of being modest, he propped himself up on an arm for a moment, pausing to eye her body unapologetically, with a somewhat overlarge grin on his face. Yes, he'd already slept with her once, but it was dark then, and he'd slept with her twin during the day, but that had been flightlust (and M'kai knew better than anyone that seeing one twin naked hardly counted. He had much better abs than Cr'oph, after all). Regardless, what it came down to was that he really hadn't gotten a good look at Isori since that day on the river, and all of a sudden he was glad he hadn't thought to cover the glows.
So he looked, and he appreciated... for all of thirty seconds, before he made the kind of desperate sound only a man with a half-naked girl in his bed is capable of. It was stifled only by her mouth on his again, and M'kai couldn't keep his hands from roving, even when they clearly got in the way of Isori taking his clothes off, something he was all for. Eventually, though, he had to sit back up and take the jacket off - exercising a touch more care than he would have with another garment, even going so far as to lean over to drape it on a chair instead of tossing it on the floor - before ripping his shirt off, too, and pulling his hair back with a tie he had on his wrist. It was long enough that it got in the way, especially when his partner had long hair too. No, he was not thinking of A'emi when thinking about partners with short hair.
To prove it, he leaned in again, greedy kisses covering her face and neck, even down towards her breastband. That next, or her bottoms? Come to think of it, M'kai wasn't even sure if wearing pants or a skirt, and he figured he had better find out right about now. Tracing a thumb along her waistband (hell, it had worked with the shirt) he pulled back for the tiniest second, gasping, "Isori? How... how are you? Aikelyth?" Another night, he might have waited for her to answer - the kind of night when he hadn't been celibate for five months, for instance. That night was not this night, so he hardly hesitated, claiming her mouth once again as he attempted to remove whatever was on her bottom half and/or his bottom half in earnest. Too far gone, now - as much as he'd enjoy slowing it down and taking his time some other night (really, honestly, just about any other night, he promised himself), all he really wanted to do at the moment was take her, and do it now, before it was too late.
Futh, unhappily awake, quickly noticed the change in feelings that were coming from the weyrling Green. With a grumble and a baleful look at His, the Blue lumbered off into the night, soon finding his way to Aikelyth's ledge. She was inside on her couch, so Futh drew himself up outside, not intruding but ready to intervene if he needed to. It was a good thing His was feeling so euphoric - it made it easy to broadcast happiness and safety rather than grumpiness and sleep deprivation. Hopefully that would help. His had better hurry.

Isori's smile only grew as she witnessed M'kai admiring her form. Of course she was a very realistic girl, but it still made her feel very good to know that he liked what he saw. That glint in his eye couldn't possibly mean anything else! Same went for that big grin of his. But there was a time for all things. Unable to get his jacket and shirt off with all of his enthusiasm, she couldn't help but giggle when he had to do it himself. But this time it was her turn to relax and admire, looking up at him while he disrobed... mostly. Admiring all those rolling dragonrider muscles as he moved. Even as he was getting that shirt off, she couldn't help herself and was running her fingers up over his belly, unable to resist the touchy-feely complex.
Isori pouted for just a moment - and really only barely because it was so hard to pout when her face was stuck in such a happy expression - when he tied his hair back. It dissolved in the face of all the kisses that flooded afterward though, and she giggled again, returning them as well as she was able, landing most of them in his ear as he strayed. She was tempted to yank that band out of his hair, but refrained ... she knew there was a reason he'd taken that moment to put it there to begin with.
And then he went to being all worried, like a Candidate Master/ former Weyrling Master would. But she understood the severity of the question he posed for her, and she took a moment to reach out for Aikelyth to check on her. In that moment of reaching for her dragon, the weyrling calmed in her sleep and went back to being still. Which meant Isori saw nothing but sleeping baby. But before she could formulate that into an answer of words, M'kai went back to being a very ... hungry ... man. Surprised but hardly contesting, Isori returned the kiss with the same passion, helping him in his flurry for those last few garments.
Aikelyth would be okay. She was sleeping!
Or, she had been when Isori had looked. As soon as her questing touch had left, back to being completely occupied by M'kai, the little green went back to restless twitching and whimpering in her sleep. She stilled somewhat, though not completely under Futh's watchful and comforting presence. Having that soft presence of care helped her a lot in not getting so distressed as to wake herself up from her slumbers.

Well, that was it. Once the clothes were off, M'kai was long lost. Not that he wasn't well on his way anyway, but taking a moment to pause, pull back, and pass his eyes (then hands, then lips) over Isori's body again - clothesless this time, so much better - put him over the edge. He wasn't an inexperienced little boy, but something about tonight reminded him of that time. Something about the passion, the drive, the excitement. He simply couldn't wait. All his will power went out the window in about ten more seconds of kissing. Sliding a hand down her side, curving it around her hips, M'kai lifted himself on to an elbow, growling, "Isori... I have to. I can't... just..." If she was going to stop him, now was the time... assuming she could figure out exactly what M'kai was trying to say.
((Fade? If so I'll pick it up again after, unless you want to <3))
