The last drops of his spirits made its way down his throat, leaving a pleasantly burning trail in its wake. A smirk curled the corners of his lips as he placed the empty glass on the table. He'd come to the Dining Hall because it was dinnertime and he was feeling lonely, today being one of the few days where he and J'on were not together. Although he was here alone, he had plenty of company; three Brown firelizards were chirping and chattering noisily in both his ears, and the Dining Hall was especially crowded with people who had been attracted by the slowly growing band of riders and weyrfolk alike who wielded musical instruments - and maybe it was just the alcohol talking, but he was feeling better already. Not that he'd had all that much to begin with.
The subtle glow of warmth inside him wasn't the only thing that was putting him in a great mood. J'ash had chosen to sit at the end of a table in the middle of the Hall, a spot which was extremely close to the folk who had decided to settle there with instruments. It had started with one person breaking into song on a wood instrument; then another joined with portable stretched-skin drums; and soon after, there was a whole collage of musical sounds, impromptu yet upbeat, loud, and spirit-rallying. Several strings met woodwinds, and synchronized drum players added a loud beat that was simply irresistible. The desire to break into dance was trying to consume him, and J'ash knew if he didn't leave now, he would embarrass himself in front of everyone.
Pouring himself an extra sip of alcohol, he stood, body moving on its own to the beat as he raised his glass to the players in a toast, and downed it, his dance-like sway earning a catcall or two from a few buzzed people. Blinking at them, J'ash was then distracted by a tugging on the collar of his shirt. His youngest Brown firelizard seemed to be trying his hardest to drag him up on the table. Drama squawked - why wasn't His listening to him? The both of them would get the attention of everyone in the room, and then all the Greens and Golds would want a piece!
Perhaps things would have gone down a little differently had J'ash not drank anything and been influenced by Drama, but what the hell. Why not? The Dining Hall was one big event right now, and J'ash decided he was going to make it into a party.
Drama chirruped happily and coiled around J'ash's neck, while Tux and Vomit, attached to his sleeves, spread their wings and helped stabilize the buzzed Bluerider as he took a step up onto the bench and then another onto the table. J'ash took a few catty steps to what he judged to be the middle of the table (causing others eating there to quickly grab their plates and drinks out of his way) and reached back to let his silky blondish hair loose, earning quite a few more catcalls from random people in what was now his audience.
As if to amuse their new dancer, the impromptu band increased the tempo a little, making it just on this side of fast and catchy. J'ash felt his heartbeat rise to match it, the beat taking over his hips; he began to sway them, swiveling his head so that his blonde hair flew, exposing his neck seductively. The crowd in response had noticed him and were starting to feel his vibe, as shown in the way the cheering and whooping increased. With playful eyes and alcohol-induced pink-dusted cheeks, J'ash twisted and swayed to the loud music in a way that seemed to be challenging anyone to come up here and dance with him. He was lonely, after all.

She had just come for food. That was it. The music was noticeably nice though. Whatever had been the reason for the impromptu band Erilena wasn’t regretting the sounds they were making. It had been far too long since she had gotten to actually dance. Dmitri couldn’t dance with her currently. Not only had his leg been injured, and might not be up to it, but well he hadn’t been in the mood either. In neither case she couldn’t blame him. Things hadn’t been exactly rainbows and sunshine. Mostly the fault of things completely outside of control but at times she couldn’t help placing some of the blame for the tension on her shoulders. Still that was neither here nor there and the greenrider found herself humming along to the beat, hips almost unconsciously swaying slightly to match the rhythm as she stood in line.
It was the catcalls that drew her attention to it at first and she quite literally facepalmed as a very clearly drunk J’ash staggered up onto the bench and from there the table. As if he needed encouragement anyway the little rag tag band started to play something a bit more upbeat. It was clear that some of her former classmate’s firelizards were so not amused. Nor were some of the riders that had been displaced from their meal. Oh dear J’ash….really? No it was none of her business. And had it been anyone but J’ash she might have left well enough alone. But to be honest the rather feminine looking rider wasn’t really the brightest sort all the time and he was obviously quite drunk. What other option did she have but to attempt to talk him down? If she left now and found out later he had gotten gang jumped or something... Besides that, Feyrianth had just informed her that Craivaruth was quite upset. And everyone knew the drama that dragon caused when he got….unstable. Shards and shells.
Moving through the crowd toward the table Erilena reached out and barely missed a grab to J’ash’s ankle as the skinny teen tried his best to play sexy diva. "Ja’sh! What are you doing?” She hissed between her teeth. Although it was obvious she was either being ignored, or the bluegreenrider was too drunk to recognize her. Climbing up on one of the benches she reached to try and grab his leg again in an attempt to stop her former classmate. Only a couple of the riders seemed to have a different idea by this point. With a surprised yelp Erilena found herself being shoved up onto the table as well. A couple of cheers and loud calls were given as she stared in slight horror and confusion at the gathered people. Oh no. “You have it all wrong…” The greenrider attempted only to be drowned out by wolf whistles and cries. Now what? It was obvious what they wanted especially when a couple of the little band members started increasing the tempo.
For a few moments Erilena resisted before the calls and J’ash’s challenge had her approaching him with slightly narrowed eyes. Oh what the hell? What was the worst that could happen? Dancing was a good way to relive stress and although she wasn’t much of a performer in the crowd sense, she had way more than enough experience to beat a drunkard. Even if her nerves where making her stomach flutter. Besides it didn’t look like the crowd was giving her much of any other option.
Drawing up beside her former classmate the greenrider made a show of shoving at his chest, her touch extremely light to prevent throwing him off balance, before dipping down and coming back up with a toss of her blonde hair. Stalking to the other side of the table amid cheers she looked back at J’ash and started swiveling her hips in time with the beat. She tangled one hand in her blonde hair, and gave him another challenging look, before swinging her body around as she started to follow the beat they so nicely provided for her.
…I am sorry Clutchbrothermine. Lenamine tried to get yours but she got….distracted.

This is a bad idea, J'ashmine. Craivaruth's chiding voice infiltrated J'ash's mind as he climbed the table and started dancing. The warnings and growls went largely ignored by the buzzed Rider. Do you want to get raped, or something? Get down from there. I'm just having fun, relax a little. I'll be careful, I promise!~ The Blue certainly didn't believe him, but there was nothing he could do from his weyrledge anyway.
His sexy smile turned into a playful, devious smirk as someone attempted to reach out and grab his ankle; he swiftly dodged it, throwing a grin over his shoulder in the direction of the person who had tried to catch him. Too bad, they were going to have to try harder than that.~ He thought he heard his name being hissed, but he chose to assume it was just the excitement of the crowd.
He twirled around as part of his routine and then noticed Erilena on one of the benches, reaching towards his leg. "Oh hi you!" he called, strutting over to her and reaching down to grab her arm and pull her up. He was lucky that members of the crowd were pushing her up too, otherwise he probably would have tipped over. "Whadaya mean you got it wrong? Dance with me!" he grinned, shaking her arm lightly to emphasize his demand. Letting go of his hold on her limb, he strutted away from the girl and twisted, throwing his head back to look at her, hair whipping in the air. The swaying of his hips increased with the increase in tempo, and his grin grew very broad when he noticed his hesitant ex-classmate start to dance.
He let his expression change back into his sexy-show-face again, nodding his head up at Erilena as she stalked closer to him with eyes narrowed. The pretend-shove to his chest almost made him grin in amusement but he controlled it and faked a recoil to the push, working it into his moves. He flicked his hair in time with his partner/competitor. There was no way he could out-strut Erilena, if only because he wasn't the right gender to swivel his hips like that. But his physique and flexibility were very feminine indeed, the length of his hair was enough to rival Erilena's, and he'd had the experience of dancing to entertain a crowd ever since he was young. Plus, the alcohol in his system was enough to wash away any sort of shyness that might have existed otherwise. He was certainly going to give the Greenrider a run for her money, but it was all for fun anyway. He was just glad that someone had come up to dance with him.
He ran a hand through his own hair, body following the beat consuming his hips. Competitively playful gray eyes focused on Erilena momentarily before going back to connecting with the mob of dancing, yelling, reaching people that were crowded around their table. Drama decided that although he'd gotten his wish, he was getting a little dizzy with all of the hair flicks His was doing. With a squawk, Drama detached from J'ash's neck and instead opted to fly circles around the dancer. Tux and Vomit followed suit, keeping a close eye on Theirs so that he didn't stumble and fall.
A sly, seductive smirk curled his lips as another idea came to his fuzzy mind. Thumbs hooking into the bottom of his loose shirt, he raised it over his head and dumped it on the floor, earning wild calls and hoots from several men and an encouraging "you go girl!" from some random woman. Shaking his tousled hair out, his svelte form began to rotate and twist in a slow circle, swaying his hips from side to side and hooking his thumbs into his pants. Of course, he wasn't that crazy drunk as to strip completely in front of the whole Weyr; no, this was as far as he'd go, clothing-wise, but it was certainly enough of a teaser to get the crowd going.
J'ash tilted his head up and shot his dancing partner another challenging look through fawn-blonde bangs. That was how you entertain a crowd.
The tone Craivaruth used to reply to Feyrianth showed his appreciation. It's fine - he's not Yours' responsibility anyway. Thank her for trying. At least he's with someone sober now, and is less likely to get kidnapped. If only dragons could facepalm.

Feyrianth was distinctly amused at her rider. Erilena wasn’t much of a show off most times. Nor did she enjoy crowd situations all that much. But there was a bit of a performer in her, had been since she was very young. The storytelling competition for example had been one of the greenrider’s favorite things ever, and dancing at her brother’s joining with Dmitri. That had been quite exhilarating too. But both times she had had someone to share it with. Someone who made it easy to relax and let it go. This was a bit different. J’ash was a friend yes but still there were nerves that came into play. Still nerves didn’t hold Erilena back for long once she immersed herself completely into the music. Ignore the crowd. Get it to the point where only the music existed and possibly her competition. If you could even call it a competition. As a male J’ash wasn’t equipped to pull off some of the feminine moves as well as she was. But neither was she able to pull off some of the masculine ones he probably could. Not that he was going for anything even resembling masculine it seemed.
J’ash was going for pure sex appeal. Although Erilena could do that if she wanted to. Dancing was more complete art for her. Baring certain circumstances anyway. Thus, while still giving off a feminine vibe, her choice of movement wasn’t as in your face sexual as her competition’s was. Even when the greenrider dipped forward, rising back up slowly to trace a hand partway up her leg, everything was precise. Carrying only a subtle hint of a sexual vibe. Which usually came with much better results than putting it all out there. Getting her feet under her again with a twirl, her hands moved up her sides and into her hair. From there they rose above her head, hips and legs moving almost eerily in tune with the music. When Erilena danced she used her whole body as a tool hands, arms, hips, legs, you name it. Expression was important to performance too. But the greenrider left that out keeping her eyes carefully on only certain things, mostly to avoid the crowd.
When J’ash started stripping however Erilena paused in her movements and momentarily and placed a hand on her hip. Inwardly she was wincing as she struggled to remain outwardly amused. No way in Faranth’s green Pern was she going to be losing clothing. At all. Not even if the crowd begged her. Nope. Instead she strutted around with exaggerated movements of her legs shifting into a high stepping routine as her hands tangled through blonde hair. Tossing it back over her shoulder with a look of ‘are you serious?’ towards J’ash she went back to entertaining the crowd her way. So what if they had completely different styles? It was all for the sake of fun mostly wasn’t it? Yes. That and to get J’ash tired enough to drag off the table and out the door, with hopefully only a minimal battle.
No he isn’t really but he’s still her friend. Feyrianth replied in a friendly tone, crossing her forelegs where she lay sprawled upon her ledge. She says she will get him home. Apparently she has a plan. The green said in an attempt to soothe her brother a little. With mine there he is indeed less likely to be abducted. She wouldn’t let anyone cart him away. She does however think that him shedding layers is not so good a thing.

With a seductive gleam in his metallic eyes, the shirtless young man threw his head forward, dipping his shoulders and torso towards the riled crowd as he sank down, sliding onto his knees. There, he rocked back and forth subtly, toned midsection oscillating between concave and convex; and with lips parted and hair sticking to the damp sides of his neck and forehead, there was no way he could scream more sex appeal.
Letting his head loll backwards and to the side, he observed his competition hazily, blush-tinted cheeks puffing out a little as he grew decidedly jealous of how beautiful her dancing was. Her lines were so clean, just ever so slightly sexual like a femme fatale; and yet she was still so graceful, not letting the crowd convince her otherwise. His style of dancing was dirty and fun, crowd-working; but admittedly, it wasn't great, professional, artful dancing. And how could anyone decide who was better if their styles were completely different?
If J'ash was sober, he'd have worked standing up into his act, but alas, the skinny male had to lean on the table with his hands to get off of his knees and crouching on the balls of his feet. Although there was quite a sway to his form, he managed to stand all the way up, hands out like wings for balance. He worked it into a swift arm movement, bringing one sharply into the side of his rib cage as he held his other straight out to Erilena as if he was asking her to dance, his posture straightening completely, passionately burning eyes focused (as much as they could drunk, anyway) on the Greenrider.
Snapping his extended arm back and bringing it out in front of his torso softly, he began to dance with a style more similar to Erilena's, the movements of his legs, arms, and hips slightly more masculine than appeared to be usual for J'ash. The contrasting swiftness and softness of his lines, steps, and sways seemed to be set out to prove something, both to himself and to everyone else watching. His rather impressive moves began to get a little looser, however, and although it looked like he was doing it on purpose to get sexual for the crowd again, it was just the alcohol finally kicking in all the way. J'ash stomped one foot and then bent the other so that it rested on the pointed tip of his boot just as he decided that, okay, he was starting to feel a little nauseous. He again extended one (slightly droopy) arm towards the beautifully dancing Erilena. The arm began to droop more, however, when a "Take! It! Off! Take! It! Off!" started in crescendo from nothing, and the Bluerider found himself with his arms having fallen against his sides, staring out into the demanding faces of his audience.
"Uh," he said dazedly, although no one except Erilena could probably hear him, "y'know whaaaat? Why not!~" No, J'ash. Enough is enough. No more stripping. Do that for J'on later tonight. Not now. Craivaruth growled, knowing that he would go ignored. Please tell me Yours' plan will go into action in the next few seconds? the Blue moaned at Feyrianth.
With a drunk grin spreading on his face, J'ash hooked his thumbs into the rim of his pants again and cocked his hip to one side, stretching his flank for all to see, and slowly made his way towards the buttons of his pants.
He only had time to undo two (with the crowd whistling and catcalling and roaring at him in encouragement) before the fabric of his shirt came floating down on his head. Tux had gone to retrieve the clothing from the floor, and the bowtie-decorated Brown and Vomit were both trying to tug it onto the blonde's head without success. Clearly, Tux and Vomit thought that the stripshow had gone far enough, while Drama circled them, screeching at His to continue. (How else would he get appropriate attention from now on?)
Now, the Bluerider was just confused, and actually, come to think of it now that he couldn't see anything, tired and dizzy. He took a step or two towards his Greenrider friend - maybe she could get this sharding monstrous thing off him? - when, as if Faranth was trying to reprimand him for his stupidity, J'ash's foot landed in a plate of mashed tubers that someone had left behind. Flailing his hands in an attempt at whatever balance he could restore in his state, he felt himself slipping, earning quite a few roaring laughs from the crowd, a few exclamations of surprise, and many, many reaching, groping hands that were attempting to "help".

Erilena would be lying if she said she wasn’t a bit off put by J’ash’s clear sexual performance. Sure that stuff seemed to sell but mostly to a certain crowd, and as drunk and off as her former classmate was? Well she rather doubted that was the best way to display himself right now. But what could the greenrider do about it? Part of her was extremely hesitant to approach him currently. Not wanting to spur J’ash into making more of a scene. Hmm. It was about then that Erilena caught his brief glance at her and another idea came to mind. What if she could make him jealous? Should be easy enough to do. With a couple pronounced steps towards the table’s edge the greenrider set about doing just that. Putting new energy into her moves as she sought to draw the crowds attention mostly away from J’ash and towards herself.
Thankfully it didn’t take her long to draw enough interest and eyes to produce a change in J’ash. As the young man straightened, more or less, to unsteady feet and gestured to her Erilena gave him a smile. There we go, much better. She wasn’t sure that her young friend would be able to dance near her level as drunk as he was, but the greenrider stepped just slightly closer to him anyway. Gesturing for J’ash to begin with his own moves, she then followed suit with hers. Tailoring them to highlight, and occasionally synch, with his own wasn’t all that hard.. Except she couldn’t keep up with the mimicry long because J’ash started to get sloppy. Either he was tired, it was the alcohol, or both. Regardless it what Erilena had been waiting for anyway. A opportunity to get the bluegreenrider off the table and out of here. Hopefully without incident.
Just as the greenrider was working out how to do that however J’ash stilled, obviously listening to the crowd who seemed to be either caught up in the moment or just wanting to mess with the feminine guy. Probably the latter. Oh dear…was he honestly thinking about? Yep. “J’ash! You stop that. Don’t you dare take off your pants.” Yeah as awkward as those words felt coming out of her mouth the tone was still as sharp as Erilena could make it. Not that it mattered because he obviously wasn’t listening. Shards and Shells. With a sudden decisive move she started towards her former classmate not at all sure what she would do once she got there but damn if she was going to let him streak through the Dining hall.
Relax Craibrother. Lenamine is going to try to stop him and get him home. You should try and convince him to go with her if you can. Feyrianth soothed to her brother as she got to her feet and fluttered her four wings. Leaping off her ledge she headed towards Craivaruth’s. It would be easier to sooth him in person.
Erilena wasn’t sure whether to thank J’ash’s firelizards or not. In one way their actions were helpful in others they were a hindrance, but she ended up being at the least thankful that they had stopped him from getting out of his pants. That would have been ridiculously awkward. Her staggering and blind friend however probably wasn’t all that thankful at the moment. Especially since his current blindness caused him to step into a plateful of tubers and start flailing in a ridiculous attempt to keep his balance. Well shoot if she let him fall he’d go into the crowd’s hands with probably disastrous results. So reaching out the greenrider managed to grasp her former classmate by the arms and pull him into a light hug. Reaching up she tugged the shirt, (so what if it was inside out?), over his head at least and allowed him to steady himself before drawing him back and away from the reaching hands.
Glaring at the crowd Erilena made a shooing motion with one hand, raising her voice to add. “Alright show’s over.” Ignoring the grumbling from some of them, and some not so nice shouts from others, she loosened her grip on J’ash. “Dance time is over. Are you okay? We are going to get you home now.” Glancing around, and leaving her friend to get his arms properly placed and his pants buttoned, she tried to plan out the best exit. Hmm.

The stabilizing hold on him was definitely the only thing keeping him from falling flat onto his butt. The still blind J'ash collapsed back into a form, a leg bumping into someone else's as if a move from a strange falling tango. The shirt-headed drunkie lifted a hand to grasp one of the arms that wrapped around him for structural support. "'Lena? 'Zat you?" He slurred, forgetful in his blurred, dizzy state.
The light of the Dining Hall suddenly assaulted his eyes when his shirt was yanked over his head to hang gathered around his neck and shoulders. The man (with lots of trouble) managed to get one arm through a sleeve before entirely giving up on the feat (he was just trying to strip for everyone, after all. Being half-shirtless didn't make any difference to him). J'ash turned his head and blinked owlishly at Erilena. A friendly smile stretched his lips as dilated pupils tried and tried again to focus on her face. "Knew it was you! Y'never let me down..."
A pout settled on his features as Erilena raised her voice to shoo away the crowd just as he thought of high-fiving all of the reaching hands. His expression became disgruntled, then very uncomfortable shortly afterwards. "I feel sick, 'Lena..."
A large snort that was very reminiscent of a sigh escaped Craivaruth. Mine is now nauseous. I don't think he will be able to hold his stomach for very long. His wings flared hesitantly as he half rose from his ledge. If he gets to be too much to handle, I will pick him up from the most convenient location. Finally addressing His, he added, Listen to Erilena and maybe I won't throw you off the ledge when you get home.

Erilena locked her legs to more easily take J’ash’s weight as he bumped into her and then proceeded to grab onto her arm and use her as an anchor. That was what the greenrider had been expecting, and it was probably a good thing she had been expecting it because her friend actually had little stabilization on his own. In fact the woman strongly suspected that she was about the only thing keeping him upright. The answer to his slurred question was returned in a calm and gentle tone. “Yes J’ash. It’s Lena. Just relax. I have you.” Looking around at the still lingering people Erilena shot them some not so nice looks. “What are you looking at?” She snapped at one rider in particular who then proceeded to amble away. Finally it seemed the majority of them were getting the message. Showtime over.
The greenrider’s attention was torn from the still dispersing crowd and back to J’ash as he started speaking again. Never let him down? He was sweet and right. She wouldn't. Wrapping her arms around him to help him get some better stability Erilena gave him a very light squeeze. “Yes don’t worry I won’t let you fall promise.” Not if she could help it. The bluegreenrider’s next words however caused her to frown lightly. Oh dear. Nauseous? Erilena just hoped that J’ash could wait to get sick. Not that she would blame him if he vomited on her but she’d rather avoid that if at all possible. “Sweetheart take some deep breaths and try not to get upset. The feeling will pass faster if you don’t get upset. Just try to relax and lets get you down from here.” With those words spoken the woman began to gently guide her former classmate to the edge of the table and from there to the wooden bench and then the floor. It was quite a bit harder then it looked to lead a wobbling drunk person. Note to self.
When Erilena got J’ash safely on the floor she linked an arm around his waist. “Here lean on me. I’m going to get you home and in bed.” Whatever possessed him to get wasted she didn’t know but now it fell on her to make sure he was taken care of and okay. Once she was sure that her friend was as stable as he was getting, she began to lead him out of the Main Hall and down the hallways.
Feyrianth banked before back winging to settle on Craivaruth’s ledge. Crooning to her clutchbrother she rubbed against him and then nuzzled his neck in an attempt to comfort him, projecting calm upon him as she did with injured patients in the infirmary. It is okay if he yacks on her. Erilenamine is used to such things and would never be mad at him. Eyes whirled in calm shades as she draped her neck over Craivaruth’s.
Mine can handle yours well enough. She will get him home and in bed and make sure he is okay. You should not be flying with yours in such a state. It is dangerous. If she needs assistance I can pick them up Craibrother. Either way yours is in the best hands I promise. Best to keep her brother here and calm yes. J’ash was a good friend. Hers would not let anything happen to him and neither would Feyrianth. The green was sure her dear brother would sense this. For all his emotional outbursts Craivaruth was still a logical creature.

Despite starting to feel much more nauseous than he was comfortable with, J'ash began to get affectionately teary-eyed. "Okay," he murmured in a tight voice, staring at Erilena with wide gray orbs and the face of a naive child. He did believe with his whole heart that she would take care of him. Really, what would he do without this lovely girl? He clung tighter as she hissed at the crowd, then kept only what pressure was necessary on Erilena to remain standing as she attempted to help him down.
The long-haired man decided that he would probably never like tables - or heights for that matter - again as he stumbled quite dangerously down onto the seating plank and then shakily onto the floor, stilling his buckling knees. His legs followed the swaying of his body weight. He smiled sloppily at the Greenrider as he crashed against her side, her arm encircling his waist for extra stability. "Thanks you." He tried to focus on her face as she spoke, but his eyes just couldn't seem to adjust properly. "You're funny, Lenaaa. Me, not get upset?" he giggled, stopping quite suddenly as both nausea and worry crossed his face. "Oh, Craivaruth is g'na be sssso mad at me..." Damn right. J'ash swallowed hard in an attempt to keep the vomit down, trying to steady his increased respiration.
His footwork was a little shoddy at best, and he was pretty sure at some point along their shuffling through the Hall that he'd knocked someone's drink over with an attempting-to-regain-balance hand, not that he cared. Who cared about something like that when they felt so sick? Vomit, Tux, and Drama were trailing Theirs, attempting to keep him on track. The hot air of the Dining Hall was steadily becoming cooler as they got farther away - a nice sensation on his burning skin. The stone walls were slipping this way and that in his vision; he clung to his friend a little tighter. He really felt like he was going to throw up.
Just a little further and they'd reach the closest outside access. "Y'don' have to take care of me if y'drop me off at J'on's." But the thought of his boyfriend seeing him so wasted only caused him to feel guilty - and vomit rising up his esophagus. Stopping in his tracks, the male swayed forward and caught himself on the palms of his hands, hurling on the floor next to Erilena's shoes. Pleasant.
An extended groan and closing of eyelids occurred in sequence as His threw up. Not only was Craivaruth pissed off at J'ash's recklessness, but he was feeling a little icky too. You're right, I don't think I would want to fly feeling like this. I think he should be fine getting home with Erilena's help - you shouldn't have to pick them up. We will repay you one day soon, I promise you this. The Blue-Green dragon rested his head on his forepaws as Feyrianth draped her neck over his. Reddish-orange hued eyes swirled into a lighter gold, helped by the company of his clutchsister and longtime friend.

Oh J’ash was very much out of it. His swaying and slurred speech told her that much. Idly Erilena wondered if he’d even remember all of this. Probably not. The one time she had been drunk she only remembered bits and pieces of. Mostly just quick flashes of Nephele, Dmitri, R’ven, and Feyrianth’s panic. Yeah that one time had been enough to put her off alcohol forever. The greenrider just didn’t handle it well at all. Her former classmate speaking drew her attention then and the healer smiled. “Oh it’s no problem J’ash. You don’t have to thank me.” As she spoke Erilena kept guiding him. Faster she got him home the better she’d feel about the whole thing. Running into some nasty wastelander with her drunk friend was not something she wanted. As J’ash continued she softly snorted and said in a gentle tone. “Oh Craivaruth will just be happy to have you home I’m sure. Don’t get yourself all worried about it.”
When the bluegreenrider paused so to did she, to allow him to rest for a moment, before they continued their slow shuffle out and into the hallway. It was obvious that the more they moved the worse J’ash was feeling. Erilena couldn’t do too much for him until she got him home though. Not with him using her to keep himself from toppling over. Just as they neared the exit he started to mumble something again and the greenrider tilted her head towards him to catch it. Drop him off at J’on’s? Well she could but it would just be more unnecessary travel. No she’d get him home and in bed and then maybe contact J’on. To J’ash she replied. “Your weyr is closer. We’ll get you home to Craivaruth. It’s not trouble really.”
Before Erilena could comment further however her friend had pitched forward. She made as if to try and catch him but he was already on the ground and vomiting before she could do much but grab for his shirt. Niiice. With a soft sigh the greenrider pulled J’ash’s hair back from his face to hold it against the back of his neck and out of his way. Using her other hand to rub his back she flicked a glance towards the empty hallway and softly spoke as she waited for him to finish. “Easy does it. You’re okay. I’m here.” Really it was probably better that he did vomit and get it out of his system. Erilena couldn’t help but be a little selfishly relieved that he hadn’t vomited on her. Helping J’ash back to his feet she wiped his mouth off with the back of her sleeve and then wrinkled her nose. “You okay? Shouldn’t be too much further.” With that she started to quietly lead him again.
Feyrianth crooned softly to her brother and cuddled up to his side, flaring the wings on her left and draping them both over his back as well. Oh do not be silly Craibrother. You do not have to repay us at all. We all take care of one another. Making herself more comfortable beside him, she rubbed her head along his neck and settled in to wait for the riders to arrive. Cared much for her siblings she did. And her friends. It is no trouble at all.

I will never drink again. I will never drink again. I will never drink again. thought J'ash as all of his insides seemed to be retched from his mouth and onto the floor. The sickness was a horrible feeling, something that seemed to completely encompass him momentarily. Luckily (or was that unluckily?), there had not been a lot in his stomach to begin with - the kid still dieted to "keep his figure" - and thus, most of the stuff on the floor was all there was to puke up. Erilena leaned forward and, with a wrinkled nose, wiped the remnants of the stuff from his mouth on her sleeve, letting go of his hair.
Now that he felt better with a bit of the alcohol expelled from his system, J'ash blinked up at Erilena. "Sorry, sorry! Ohhh I am suh, so sorry. Did I get some on your shoes..?" He reached down, half falling over in the process to grope one of her shoes.
"Leave that shirt with me when we get t' my weyr, s'only fair I wash it," he said as Erilena helped him back up. Perhaps it was about time he stopped speaking so much; concentrating on walking and not retching again was more important. Thankfully they were not very far from the exit into the weyr corridors. Craivaruth was certainly going to be very angry at him when they both had progressed into hangover stage. J'ash hung his head and nearly whimpered - the parental side of Craivaruth was not something he wanted to face in the morning.
Oh, and then there were stairs. J'ash stared forlornly up at them as they seemed to stretch on forever. He might be able to conquer these with Erilena's help, but there was sure to be a lot of drama along the way, considering how many he would have to climb.
A long breath escaped Craivaruth as Feyrianth fully wrapped herself around him, thinking that he could just sleep it off like this. Although it wasn't he himself who drank, he was feeling a little strange. Tilting his head and lifting momentarily, he licked Feyrianth's cheek. Yep... definitely wasted.

Hazel eyes regarded J’ash with a mixture of concern and apprehension as he half fell over to grope at her boots. “J’ash sweetheart I think you missed them.” Erilena stated softly as she reached down to grab his arm and help him get back to his feet. It was rather awkward to have your friend pawing at your shoes. Even if he was half drunk. A half amused smile flitted across her face as the bluegreenrider asked her to leave her shirt at his weyr. Somehow she doubted her fiancé would like that too much. Besides what was she supposed to do walk around topless until she got home? Suppose she could just borrow one of J’ash’s shirts. But really it was no big deal. Just a little bit of it on her sleeve. She’d been subjected to far worse in the infirmary. “Let’s get you home before we worry about silly things like my shirt hmm?”
With that Erilena looped the slight rider’s arm over her shoulder and concentrated on getting down the hallway without one of them stumbling over each other. It was a lot harder then it sounded. When they finally got to the stairs the greenrider looked upon them with a sense of impending doom. Images flashed into her mind of an unstable J’ash and her falling down them in a heap but the woman shoved them down. That was hardly productive thinking after all. They would just have to go slow and careful. Maybe take breaks if he needed them. With that thought in mind Erilena began the long climb making sure that the bluegreenrider at her side was ready for the next step before the continued.
In that fashion the climb was slow but at least a bit safer. When they finally got to the top of the staircase the greenrider couldn’t help but breath a sign of relief as she guided her friend away from the stairs and towards the weyrs spaced out on either side of the hallway. “Umm. J’ash. Hun. Which one was yours again?”
Feyrianth very comfortable cuddled with her brother as she was. So much so in fact that she rather thought she might spend the night there just to make doubly sure that he was okay. When Craivaruth sighed the four winged green followed the sound with a soft croon of her own. As her clutch brother raised his head and licked her cheek however Feyrianth’s eyes whirled a bit faster and colored with trace swirls of an amused shade. The lick was very out of character for her normally so reserved and sometimes grumpy brother. Not that Feyrianth was going to complain about the lick. Not one bit. Instead she nuzzled happily at Craivaruth’s neck. At least he seemed to have calmed down, that was the most important thing.

J'ash nodded in response to Erilena's suggestion. It was definitely not the time to be thinking about little things like washing her shirt, especially when the energy required to think about it was better invested in other things like standing upright. The Bluerider slung his arm around his friend's shoulders, trying not to put too much pressure on her. Even though he wasn't heavy at all, it would still be uncomfortable for her if he pressed on her too much.
Upon attempting to climb the stairs, the duo trod carefully and slowly. At one particular step, J'ash's toe got caught on the stone edge, and he collapsed on his tush, whining a "go on without me". However, with Erilena's help, J'ash was able to get back up (dragged back up, rather), and after a lengthy effort, the correct floor was reached. Leaning against the corridor entrance's frame, the blond blinked as he watched Erilena speak. "...Oh... uh oh..." he murmured, blearily looking at all of the weyr entrances in the hall. "How'm I supposed to know which one's mine if they all look the same," J'ash whined. After all the effort to get up here, he did not want to have to relocate to someone else's weyr. Fourth one. hinted Craivaruth, making J'ash perk up. "Fourth one!" He exclaimed, attempting to stride over to the weyr the dragon said was his.
When Erilena caught up to him, he turned around and gave her a big hug. "So sorry for all this. Will pay you back," He gently grabbed and tugged on the bottom of her shirt. "Can I wash this please? You can borrow anything." If he hadn't been drunk he probably wouldn't have tried to strip her in the middle of the corridor.
Craivaruth almost fell fully asleep after having reminded J'ash of his living quarters, very comfortable in the cocoon of Feyrianth. He would probably regret licking her in the morning, but at the moment, he really couldn't care less. She was his sister, he was allowed to be affectionate.

Erilena waited patiently as J’ash blinked blankly at the doorways in front of them and tried not to think about how heavy he was. Or the fact that Dmitri was likely wondering what on Pern had happened to her. So much for fetching dinner and coming right back. Oh well. He’d understand once she retold the events. Though it probably wasn’t exactly safe for her to be traipsing around the place alone. A drunk J’ash wasn’t going to be much of help if someone wanted to mess with them. Thankfully they had made the entire trip unmolested. Maybe they didn’t want to chance getting puked on either. Hazel eyes gazed at the doors stretching the length of the hallway but she had never been to J’ash’s weyr. Could really be any of them. When her friend whined out Erilena grimaced. Great. She wasn’t looking forward to playing Russian roulette.
Thankfully however J’ash seemed to recover and remember after a moment. Fourth one. Okay. The greenrider couldn’t really express how grateful she was that it wasn’t too far down the hallway. Getting J’ash this far had been difficult enough at times. The final few feet to his door were taken by the stumbling rider himself as Erilena shadowed behind him, praying that he wouldn’t faceplant when they were this close. Ah there. He was to the door at least. When J’ash spun around and pulled her into a big hug she didn’t fight it instead gently squeezing him back. “It’s okay J’ash it’s not a problem really. Will you be okay if I…” The last words were cut off as her former classmate started to try and tug up her shirt. A small flush raced across her cheeks as she grabbed his wrists to stop him. “Uh if you really want to wash it I can just give it to you later. Really it’s no big deal. It’s just a tiny bit. Don’t worry about it.” With that she tried to move his hands away from the hem of her shirt. Erilena was quite positive she wanted to keep her shirt. Besides she rather doubted her fiancé would appreciate some other man stripping her of said shirt either.
“Lets get you inside and in bed hmm?” With that Erilena pushed open his door and tried to usher her drunk classmate inside. A glance was given to the two cuddling dragons on the weyrledge, Erilena passing a mental question to Feyrianth. Is he asleep? Yes. I would imagine is bonded will soon be too if you can get him to bed. Gently tugging on J’ash’s arm Erilena proceeded to try and coax him in just that direction. “You have to be very tired...”

A pout crossed J'ash's face as Erilena smooth-talked her way out of giving him her shirt. "Bu' you're gonna smelllllll.... Fiine," there was no use arguing with her - right now she seemed like an almighty statue in his eyes, totally resistant to convincing. Taking heavier steps than he normally did, J'ash paraded his way into his room and looked back over his shoulder at Erilena, wobbling as he did so. "Bu' I'm nuh tiiiiired!"
It seemed that it took a little while for Craivaruth's sleeping to hit J'ash, but there it was. His eyes drooped a little, and he wobbled towards his bed. "Scratch that." The man practically fell like a stiff board, face-first onto his bed. There he lay with his face in his pillow, completely lifeless. Perhaps he'd fallen asleep, perhaps he'd passed out, or maybe he was just too drunk to move - and he probably couldn't breathe.
Unfortunately for Erilena, Ilea, J'ash's beautifully decorated green and purple darter bird flew into the weyr from the ledge entrance. The tiny bird immediately saw that there was a new person she'd never seen before in her weyr and flew in circles around the Greenrider. It was then that Ilea began to beep unbelievably loud for her size, the annoyingly deafening sound echoing off the walls of the weyr.
Craivaruth cracked open one orange-red eye and growled - he really did hate that bird with a passion - before immediately falling back asleep. The nearly lifeless state of his rider and his previous sleep fog was too much to fight against, plus the warmth of Feyrianth was just too warm to stay awake in.
