Bah. Shopping done Elysia found herself quite bored. She could go bother the resident pots and pans peddler again. But last time that had resulted in a stubborn contest of ridiculousness that included groping. Yeah she rather doubted the poor faint hearted holders were quite over that yet. So instead the woman was trying her best to tone her natural predatory stalk into something more bland and holderish as she traveled through the gather again. Had seen it all already. She had also been successful in avoiding anyone else. Well save T'san. In fact the greenrider wasn’t even looking for anyone else to be honest. Who would she have to look for anyway? Dmitri? He was busy with his new little….pet apparently.
That was the funny thing about not looking for people though. You often ran into them anyway. Passing by the food stalls Elysia briefly examined the few people sitting at tables as she passed. Poor lonely idiots. Didn’t they all look so pathetic. Especially that scruffy one down the row. With a snort she took another step and then something clicked and she did a double take, her head whipping around as her eyes narrowed with interest on the lone scruffy drinker. Was that K’sel? Oh she remembered K’sel and the feast. That night had been actually almost ridiculously fun. Even if it had been over a turn ago now. It sure looked like the brownrider anyway. Maybe. Hmm. There was only one thing to do obviously. If she was wrong what was the worst that could happen? Yeah lets not answer that.
Full predatory walk returning Elysia approached the table with a subtle swing to her hips. Circling like some hunting feline she moved in quickly with a rumbling purr in her throat. Oh it was him. This close she could tell. Approaching him from behind the dark haired rider leaned forward and, snapping her teeth near his ear, purred. “Hello Tiger. Do you remember me?” It was possible he wouldn’t, especially with her drab holder garb. In the next instant she was reaching forward to trace the rim of his glass with a finger, chest barely pressing against him. “I figured you’d be where the parties at. Not stalking alone tonight.”

For the record he didn't think he looked incredibly pathetic. He wasn't even face down on the table raising his fingers in the air or anything yet, so K'sel was going insist that he was being actually very refined and introspective if one had to label it. He was even daringly close to holding his pink out and swirling his glass a few times if only to undermine the fact that he looked rather pieced together and patchwork. His garb made him look like nothing less than a man of the land - by this point in the gather even his finest wares had been dirtied and unusable - his blue plaid shirt opened up at the collar wide and deep and a belt could be seen sagging there doing more to weigh down his pants than hanging on the points of his hips, but it was where he did keep his coin pouch and the one hunting knife he allowed to show. His hair he did attempt to keep reasonable, while it was long at very least he took to a comb enough so that it wouldn't start to wrap around and cord itself into dread like little chunks. It was the least he could do to keep a little bit of class.
Not that it mattered really.
He had for some time now come to the conclusion that he was not impressing anybody either way, his personality was enough to turn someone off even if he was a bronze sun god with the DNA of Adonis, which he very clearly was not. His entire charm was based off of being a scrappy street dog... one that could if so determined could clean up well, and some people did not care for that. But it wasn't anything a few drinks wouldn't cure, and as such, he was getting in the last of his wine before it would be time again to take off onto the wilderness trails and take up new identities, and go on new adventures. At least he had managed to collect another friend for along the way. A clinger. Something that loved him inexplicably, to the point of constant cuddling, and even shared his love of "the drink". And no lies, it was kind of awesome watching a blue firelizard get drunk. Someone should really call the humane society.
K'sel was actually rather preoccupied sipping his drink and watching Slainte - so aptly named after the regional toast - bury his head in left overs of wine chalices that he was surprised by the approach of the hunting feline. Surprised but not disappointed. Not in the least bit. Without even turning to check an identity, he reached forward to pull her hand from the glass and lick the finger of any residue that might have been left there. He could play tooooo, "I never forget a pussy-cat, my fine feline," he finally cocked his head to throw a cheeky glance her way. Oh Elysia. Here to save him from the throws of boredom and self analysis. Bless her soul, "None of these people can play in my league. You however..." As smiley he was and tempted to just continue to exchange cute little snipes, there was also something of concern even if it was muted, "How have you been?" He didn't ask where she had been because that was something he had already guessed and figured.

Elysia was beyond pleased when K’sel grabbed her hand and licked her finger. She was positive by that point that the brownrider had recognized her. Good. And because she couldn’t quite resist the tease, before he let go the greenrider traced the finger K’sel had just licked over his lips before drawing it back with a chuckle. “No? Well good because I like to think of myself as quite memorable.” She replied half lidding her eyes in a seductive way as a return to his cheeky expression. The Benden woman was immensely pleased at finding him here. She wasn’t sure if the brownrider was still at Selenitas or not but from his ragged appearance she was going to say no. He looked like he hadn’t seen the inside of a bathing room in some time. Pity. Poor man.
Shifting so she could elegantly place herself in a chair at his side Elysia smiled. “Of course not love. I don’t think there are many who could keep up with a professional such as yourself.” She purred in a light tone before walking her fingers towards his empty glass. “But I’m honored to be in your league. Quite a feat if I must say so myself. But us animals must stick together. How else are we to show these simpletons what they miss?” The greenrider asked, amusement thick behind her tone. She wasn’t as young as the man before her no, but she did know how to have a good time. And how to gain the eyes of near everyone around her if she so chose. There were some perks to age after all. One of those being experience. Although in all honestly she wasn’t that old. Thirty this turn. Could be worse. Dark eyes slipped again to K’sel as he asked a question. The subtle and muted concern to his tone was surprisingly easy for the older woman to pick up on.
For a moment surprise dominated in Elysia’s dark eyes but the expression quickly replaced itself with her normal calm. Was it really still all that noticeable? Or was it just because she hadn’t seen him for so long? Probably the latter. Hmm. How to answer? Finally with a little humorless laugh she decided to go with the truth. K’sel was asking wasn’t he and to be honest for the moment she was a bit tired of hiding. “I’ve been better and I’ve been worse.” The greenrider sated in an even tone. “Mostly just dreadfully lonely.” A tired smile offered the man beside her before Elysia reached forward to lightly draw a finger along the open collar of his shirt.
“You look a little rough Tiger. Like you’ve been on the move for quite some time. Pray tell me how goes the hunt? Are you a lone ranger now or do you have a pack?” In all honestly it wasn’t hard to see that the brownrider had been ‘roughing it’ so to speak. If you disregarded his appearance there was the worn quality to his shoes and what items were visible, the over all thin appearance of his body. Hmm. “I am tempted to turn your own question back at you.” As Elysia spoke she lightly brushed her foot up and down along K’sel’s ankle. What? She was just being comforting. Yeah that’s what she’d call it. Comfort. In all reality he probably expected it anyway. The greenrider never was one for keeping her hands to herself.

Slainte looked up at the woman and crooned deep in his throat. Helllllo pretty lady! He walked clear across the table in an attempt to meet Elysia's hand, but with the tingle of the woman's lips still on his fingers, he had little patience for a blue firelizard trying to hit on her. In fact he whispered as he pulled his youngin' back into his lap, "Sorry bud, saw her first..." Not that he was keeping the fact secret, the hushed tones just did a little to keep him from sounding like a complete weirdo. With that little situation under control, the traveller was a little more in tune to what people had to say.
"Simpletons indeed," K'sel responded, giving a quick look around to the people in attendance. There were days that the southern natives gave him a distinct sense of homeland pride and then others when - like now - he felt like he was swimming in nothing but a sea of idiots, but then, one couldn't expect too much from a gather. They had a habit of bringing out the absolute worst in people. That could be put aside though as his company took a seat and became a slightly more permanent fixture in his day. To that he was all smiles. It was good to have an interaction that wasn't painfully awkward for a change, and while for whatever reason everyone else seemed to find themselves incredibly uncomfortable at the mention of the hypersexual greenrider, this brownrider at least never seemed at all bothered by any of her aggressive affection. It seemed that when you looked past her antics there were stories there to read into. She wasn't without a soul, no animals like they were.
"I can sympathize with such feelings of listless apathy..." K'sel said with some amount of humor, "I'm not always such a bright and happy guy, did you know I was once renowned for being something of dreary fellow?" He dropped an eyebrow to throw a little bit of her "seductive look" back at her, but it was only a second or so longer before he was granting her with an honest answer just as she did for him, "More importantly however, I know all too well what it is like to be lonely. There can be others around, but it hurts so much worse when who you want to see if outside of your grasps. Makes me wonder about this gather. If it isn't just hurting everyone worse... if these brief moments of perceived happiness are not just hallowing out spaces in our minds and hearts that will just be left as empty voids when the fleeting euphoria wanes..." he caught himself midway through his philosophizing and cracked a grin, "Look see. Told you. I think I bum myself out sometimes."
The touch of her hand against his chest was comforting though. Completely so, and he was eased into answering her questions, even though his security meant a degree of encryption for his speech, "Well, I do like to think of myself as a loner...but that day... when it happened, I thought to myself, 'Wait a second, could it be?' I knew I had made it out there with some of my own. Where there was one, there were two more guys in my pack, and now there the three of us, running around the desert together, looking for signs of an afterlife and hallucinogenic lizards to lick," after that long and drawn out explanation he thought he deserved something of a break and so he found a point at which he could throw the conversation back to her, "So really its hard to say... I've looked healthier, but I don't think I've mentally lost it yet... "
He glanced down as he felt the woman's foot rub against his leg. Was he purring? He swore he felt himself purring before blurting, "Don't tempt me, women are far and few between where I'm at..."

Elysia hadn’t known that K’sel had had any pets. Let alone a charming little blue firelizard. Quite a young one at that it seemed. Before she could reach out to caress him the brownrider was tugging the little creature into his lap and murmuring something about ‘saw her first’. The greenrider couldn’t help but chuckle at that statement. As if the little blue would steal her attention for more than a few moments tops. Nevertheless it was almost cute and possessive of him. The latter she wasn’t sure she completely liked but she pushed it aside. No time for such thoughts. Not when she could have oh so much fun with this one.
Dark hair spilling over one shoulder as Elysia put her head in her hand she couldn’t help but keep the other one playing with the open collar of K’sel’s shirt. One perfectly manicured eyebrow raised as the brownrider started speaking and her fingers slipped from his collar to caress along his neck. “You dreary? Although I don’t completely doubt it, it’s hard to imagine you listless Tiger.” He had always come off as something of a terror. A sort of rebel. As he proved again when he turned her seductive look back at her. Not many men dared to attempt that. The older woman couldn’t help smiling in response, her trademark purr starting in her throat. But the noise trailed off into silence as K’sel continued, the seductive look in her eyes fading to be replaced by something deeper. The greenrider searched her companion’s face. How was it that he had just spoken exactly how Elysia had felt these past weeks? Coincidence? Or something else?
Dark eyes reflecting the tiniest bit of somberness and pain she snorted, trying to cover up the expression with a sudden stroke to the brownrider’s chest. “You’re right.” The woman offered K’sel a wry smile. Whether you are bumming yourself out or not you’re right and I can’t help but agree with you.” Her nose wrinkled in an expression of slight disgust with herself as thoughts of the harper rose again. Now was so not the time to be thinking of Dmitri. Even if how K’sel spoke is how she had been feeling. It made her wonder just who K’sel was referring to? Who had hurt him like that? In this too it seemed they were alike. Both spurned in matters of love. But in the end Elysia couldn’t bring herself to ask. And she was in fact all too happy for a change in topic. And if that change in topic had her fighting back laughter then all the better.
His little speech had her good humor returning. As encrypted as it was at least she knew a couple of things now. One that K’sel wasn’t by himself and had two others with him, two they had hung around the desert, and three something about licking hallucinogenic lizards? That was the part that had Elysia actually chuckling. “Licking lizards? Either that’s code for something extremely kinky and erotic or you three have lost it at least a little bit.” She retorted finger tracing along his jaw line as she smiled. Her foot traveled further up his leg then as her smile returned to seductive. “You have indeed looked healthier. But you’re still as roughly animalistic looking as I remember.” The words slipped out of her mouth in an almost caressing tone her finger tracing the brownrider’s lips again. “Holds it’s own appeal.”
Leaning forward to whisper in his ear the greenrider half lidded her eyes. “But what fun would life be without temptation? I can’t say that my hunting grounds are much better.” Snapping her teeth just shy of his ear Elysia growled. “I’d say we are stalking in extremely similar path’s Tiger.” Drawing back just enough to be able to see him more clearly she regarded K’sel curiously. “So then. Will you eventually return to your pack? Split up to peruse hunting opportinuties? Or are you looking for something else?” She questioned not bothering to hide the curiosity in her tone. Would be a right shame if the woman couldn’t just take him home with her. But maybe although their hunting paths crossed now the brownrider had a different destination and goal in mind. In either case she was stalking with him now. And she was determined to somehow make this….fun.

He nodded along mostly to the rest of the dialogue, he could tell when a subject had breached the parameters of comfort - it was all in those eyes, he didn't want to see them pained - and moved on to the more playful chatter of drug-laced lizard skins. The answer to this at least was clear and obvious. Without any thought the brownrider was replying with a saucy little retort... nay... challenge, "What would you say if it was an extremely erotic metaphor?" He leaned his body forward into her caresses and even dared to touch back; his hands calloused as they were still they sweeped across her checks to pin radical hairs back behind her ears. Grooming like this was a rather animal thing, but it extended to humans too as a way to show some type of care without the futility of words. The drivel that slipped from most people's mouths amounted to nothing... as cheesy and tactless as it all was he found more romance in the sound of grunts most days than some of the defecation that spilled out of a pathetic, simple man's soul.
So hopefully the woman was expecting his to spit poetry for her. It wasn't about to happen.
Of course this was Elysia. She didn't care about those things really, did she? Nah, she confirmed it herself with her veltly words, "Holds it's own appeal." Good, good. Whereas his sister and the rest of the Pretty and Pink club might prefer him clean shaven like a parochial school graduate, this greenrider actually approved of his more rustic look... even if it wasn't a conscious fashion choice and only the result of living on the lamb. Unconsciously this conjured up yet another deep purr and off course a curious chirp from Slainte who suffered the reverberations that thus rattled through K'sel's body.
The clatter of snapping jaws shocked his ears however, and he took special caution to listen to the woman's words. Similar paths? He supposed so, but was Elysia's little clan really as ragtag as his own was? He doubted it, but if so it did nothing to assure him of the future. He was going to be out and about desert stalking for a good long time. Regardless, "As a pack we will stick together... for now at least... I don't think that we or I shall be invited anywhere else..." especially after A'emi's green took flight. It made bad blood between the dragons and until their memories gave out then their squad was fully and completely intact, "but my eyes and ears are always open... always," he was reluctant though to re-assimilate into a larger group. he'd grown weary of utilizing social graces, and on relying on chains of command. The notion was worth mentioning the the greenrider, "I have been told before that I needed to see silver lining in my life. Do you know what I love about my predicament? The freedom. Pure freedom. Where I prowl your decisions matter. Consequences matter, and are immediate. There is no buffer, and nothing to hold my hand..." he considered his words for a second, "although touch is somewhat welcome after the long absence."
Then he took some liberties. If she could snap at his ear then he could escalate things further, and angled in for a bite on her neck, pulling after after the moment to say facetiously, "Oh forgive me! I forget that normal etiquette reserves such moments for the sanctity of private quarters. To think some poor holders might have seen something so uncouth..." he didn't mention that the lot of them could actually learn a thing or two on how to truly live.

K’sel’s saucy little retort had Elysia’s dark eyes flashing. Was that a serious question? Had to wonder, especially when he leaned into her touches and then proceeded to brush stray hairs behind her ear. The woman allowed the young man in front of her to take those liberties. Curious perhaps and just a bit starved for physical contact. Affection. Though it was something she’d never vocally voice. An almost sinister smile lighted her face for a brief moment before she purred back. “I’d say that you’d have to show me in detail just how this metaphor came to be.” Fingertips trailed from his lips and down his jaw, lingering along the brownrider’s neck line, before the greenrider finally pulled them away. Food for thought. If he had the right to touch, then it only made sense that she had more of the same right. Besides Tiger seemed to be enjoying her little touches. Enough to return some in kind. Made her wonder just how loud she could get him to purr.
Yes her thoughts were traveling along wicked trails as Elysia continued her little sensual touches. A light touch of fingertips here, a leg brush there. But she did strive to play attention to other things besides K’sel’s obvious enjoyment of her light affection. His deep purr caused her to give a feline like smile and the greenrider returned the noise with a light purr of her own. Background music for their conversation in a way. Leaning forward, more into his space, the Benden woman’s fingers also brushed along the blue firelizard that sat in the young man’s lap. The touch mean to be reassuring as she snapped near his bonded’s ear. No need for the little blue to get all flustered and although Elysia couldn’t communicate this to the creature mentally she strove to with the light touch. No worries she wouldn’t be eating anyone. Well…not without invitation anyway.
The woman pulled back slightly from K’sel’s ear. No too much. Just enough to hear his quietly spoken words. She had figured as much. Wherever and whoever he was with, he was planning to stay there. Elysia almost thought to reassure him that they would be accepted amongst the other exiles. But really it was hard to say. She didn’t know who he was with or if they had any tails. It could be dangerous to accept them. It wasn’t a decision The greenrider could make. So the woman simply nodded quietly, dark eyes fixed on something over the younger brownrider’s shoulder in thought. What he went on about. Freedom. It was something the older woman didn’t feel right to comment on. Elysia had always been part of something bigger than herself. Always working, involved, intermeshed with the life of the weyr no matter how distant she was emotionally. Consequences mattered no matter where you were in life in truth. On the outskirts of society or immersed completely in it.
Part of her envied K’sel though for his lack of ties. Not that she had so many herself. But Elysia wasn’t the type to detach from everything and live a life on the lamb. Not saying that she couldn’t work it out if she had to. But…it wasn’t something she yearned for or wanted. Every tiger stalked it’s own path she decided in the end. The comments on touch though had her lips twitching upwards in an amused smile. Even amongst the people of Burimyu touch was something the greenrider was lacking lately as well. Perhaps that was why she didn’t react negatively to the bite. Or perhaps it was because it was K’sel and he was something of a wild thing not tamed by society. A rebel of sorts. Whatever the reason the woman gave a light chuckle turning her head to bite at his nose in retaliation her seductive quality to her tone still very present.
“You have no need to apologize to me Tiger. Nor do I believe the poor holders will die from the sight of something uncouth. And if they will, well then let them. Perhaps some of them need to loosen and shed their tethers for at least a little while and try and join us wild things on occasion.” Thus spoken hands reached out to seize the brownrider’s shirt pulling him closer to claim his lips. Pulling back with a nip to his bottom lip Elysia chuckled. “I speak thus dressed as one of them. Watch them oust me from their society of house pets.” Amusement danced in her dark eyes as she took a quick look around to gauge reactions to them and their interaction. Audience expression never failed to amuse her. Dark eyes returning to his face the greenrider smiled. “We should have some fun.”

Slainte, who had to this day, had yet to leave K'sel's side, was debating betweening somewhere. Preferably somewhere with lots and lots and lots of booze. What? It wasn't like Eyesore made for very good company. The older blue was a grumpy one no doubt, and Mojo, if he could even be found was likely to use him as fodder for his own amusement. It was still a scary sort of prospect though... he hadn't known anything other than the brownrider since he had hatched not so long ago... but with this Elysia creature creeping closer and closer he knew not what else to do. The firelizard sort of wagged his tail once before closing his eyes and wishing himself to that stall he saw distributing the alcoholic stuff. With a little popping sound the blue disappeared to go curl around a wineskin for awhile.
Of course K'sel noticed this, there wasn't a whole lot anymore that got past him, it was just a matter of necessity. Noticing didn't always directly correlate with caring however. He wasn't soulless, he did worry if only for a second about the blue, but worry was usually wasted on firelizards. The brownrider considered them rather resilient creatures even if they didn't think so themselves, and after the moment passed he found himself re-occupied with the touch and immediacy of the greenrider.
Settling from the laugh they shared and the nip at his nose he sneakily was able to dance around, he let her hands reach out for him and pull folds of navy pattern through her fingers to draw him in and add her lips to his own. The dark haired slip of a man relished the experience, nearly chuckling with amusement through the exchange. Though avoided, his pleasure was not lost on the toothy smile he let slip in the wake of the kiss; giving a very rare glimpse of the right canine, the gap that hid there behind it, and on his corresponding cheek the sign of a charming boyish dimple. He would have fought to hide the expression, if only because when he did display any sort of genuine happiness he was teased or at very least called out on it, but he simply couldn't find it in himself to stop.
"You never looked good on a leash anyway..." well, he didn't know about that, but for the sake of the fun little metaphors they liked to use, he went with it, following her eyes for a moment out to the people surrounding them and taking tabs on those who had collected. The action also doubled as a security check for any of the Wastelander riders who found them a little too interesting, but he was rather confident that they both looked fully the part they were trying to play. Reassured, he leaned forward and really out of his own seat, placing one greedy paw on her thigh while shifting his weight to the back of the chair she sat on. It was a dangerous sort of balancing act, but thats what made it all the more exhilarating, "What kind of fun did you have in mind? I have a feeling I know though..."

Oh and look at that. Tiger had a nice smile. Complete with a dimple. Funny what the right interaction could show you. Eyes slipped over K’sel’s full profile and then back to his face, a light chuckle sounded deep in Elysia’s throat. “Oh I’ve never been on a leash.” That wasn’t completely true. At one point she had been on a choker chain so to speak and R’sia had held the leash. But once the greenrider had gotten herself free of the bronzer she utterly refused to ever be leashed again. Still doing a good job of staying quite the feral feline. If you excluded Dmitri. She may have been tamed a little by the harper but in the end she had become flighty and when cornered about it had lashed out. Coming back loyally back to the handler later hadn’t fixed the issue. That pain was something she’d rather not have to go through again. The whole end had been one of the most painful things she could remember. Better to try and remain free to do as she pleased when she pleased. Spending the occasional night in comfort before moving on. Yes. Much better this way.
And here now K’sel was leaning forward to loom over her, one hand on her thigh, his weight hovering close to trapping her in the chair. Another little fact about Elysia. She liked to be the one in control. Play or not being hovered over like this triggered an instinctive response and her eyes went cold, hands coming up to shove roughly at his chest as she growled. “Oh you think you do do you?” The greenrider trusted in varying levels and K’sel had not yet earned the right to completely invade her space. Not like this. Few men had ever approached that level.
One leg came up to press against her companion’s stomach eyes softening just a tad as Elysia pushed the brownrider further out of her space. Her eyes held reproach. Bad boy. Let her come to him. He wasn’t allowed to be predatory just yet. That was her right. Dominance was something the woman craved. Even needed on some level. As comfortable as she was with baiting and play feeling trapped was one thing the greenrider had major issues with. She liked her escapes and when it got serious… She liked to be the one sinking in claws.
Once Elysia had a more comfortable amount of space the purring tone returned. “Easy there Tiger. We have time to sate all our animalistic desires. No need to rush.” No need at all. There were so many things they could do for fun. Leaning forward she trailed fingers under his jaw. It was an attempt to teach. Stay back out of her space and you got nice things. Push and you risked pain. K’sel was smart. He’d understand. This feline was one with wicked claws. One who valued her space just as he valued his freedom. Let her pursue.
“So now tell me what you want to do for fun. You pick first and I’ll pick second.” Dark eyes flicked to the holders around them before returning to the scruffy brownrider. She’d give K'sel lead. Within reason. Two of a kind in some ways and Elysia was admittedly a bit fond of him. He was forgiven his discretion. This time. Hopefully he had learned.

There was a hiccup in the gentle purr, as his chest caught the shock of the woman's hands and her leg pressed forward against his stomach. Apparently he made an oopsie, a big enough one to send him flopping back into his chair, eyes half lidded and lips screwed into an expression half way between a mischievous pout and a guilty understanding. So he failed it seemed to read all of his companion's signs, but then he assumed it was better that his mistakes be approached bluntly than with some kind of passive aggressive brush off. Better for the learning experience and all... and being human he was quick to adapt, opening up his lazy posture and resting his hands out on the edges of his own arm-rests for good measure.
His punishment apparently didn't need to last long either. He took the trailing of her fingers along his jaw as encouragement... to do what exactly? Well pick out a fun activity of course, and he knew exactly the thing. The scary part was what she would think of his plan. Certainly it wasn't in line with anything she probably had in mind, and so of course he had to come up with a nice little back up. That was the problem though. You can't just throw options out there for people to run with... not if you want to get anything done. So it was that he just blurted it out - the speed and total confidence in his words certainly enough to catch her attention.

He was grinning from ear to ear with delight, even going as far as to squint his eyes closed ever so cutely as he shrugged his shoulders, "I'd say we kidnap someone and try and boil them down into soup but that is actually what I do on Thursdays..." he said half kiddingly. The jokey part was actually about the day of the week... he never knew what day of the week it was. Calendars were at a premium when you lived in the middle of nowhere, and practical watches - much less one with a chronograph - sadly had yet to be invented. Still he took a minute to soak in the moment before finally offering his much simpler solution, "Or... I'll make a deal. A tattoo is a messy proposition. Lots of knives and bleeding and ink, and while I understand in life that it takes all kinds," he was definitely down with whatever floated peoples boats, "scaring my own rear-end is problematic as I often like to sit on it," and at the moment it was more muscle and bone than fat... what a horrible canvas it would be, "but I hear there is face painting, and where there is painting there must certainly be paint, and instead we could take turns and leave some less permanent marks on each other..."
He shrugged again, not sure she would be completely sold on the idea, besides, she had a go at picking something out didn't she? He was quite curious to know what it was that she considered to be fun.

Elysia was impressed at how he handled the situation. K’sel hadn’t made excuses or further pushed. Just eased back and offered her an almost cute little guilty pout. Good Tiger. As he sprawled into his chair, in a more comfortable position, and her hand finally fell away from his jaw she gifted him with a smile. Needless to say the greenrider was still at ease with the situation and as she waited for the brownrider to speak, her dark eyes flitted from the passing holders. Watching them all for any indication that she was attaching too much attention. But no they seemed all involved in their own heads. Good. Tracing her finger around the rim of the empty wine glass she almost tipped it when K’sel finally spoke.
“Matching ass tattoos.”
What? Elysia’s eyes widened as she turned to the brownrider. For a few seconds there was silence as her brain caught up with the words. Then she caught his grin and started to laugh. Actually laugh. It had been far too long since she had actually honestly laughed. It felt strangely nice. “Matching huh? I’m almost curious to know exactly what kind of tattoo you’d prefer.” Oh there was no way in hell the greenrider would ever submit to the idea but it was humorous. Leaning back in her chair, still chuckling, Elysia quieted to let K’sel go on. Now he was going on about boiling people into food which he apparently only did on Thursdays. Hmm note to self avoid Tiger on Thursdays if he looked hungry. Eyes half lidding the greenrider smiled. There we go. An actual idea. And it wasn’t a bad one either. Painting like that held a certain appeal. It just sounded fun.
Leaning forward Elysia tapped K’sel on the nose with a fingertip. “I liiiiiike that idea. You’d look quite magnificent in stripes I think.” She purred, looking him up and down before pushing out of her chair to rise gracefully to her feet. “Paint wars it is. And after that it’s my turn.” Moving around behind his chair she looped her arms around the brownrider’s shoulders and leaned down to whisper in his ear. “Tell me Tiger. Just how good are you at stalking? Because playing thief is just too fun.” Brushing lips against his ear she straightened and moved back, offering him a smile before giving a come hither gesture. “Time to let your inner artist out?”

Surprise her did he? Good. Such a battle hardened woman shouldn't really be caught off guard as she was, but apparently words were her weakness... and K'sel was damn proud of himself for finding it. There was of course the additional reward of not only hearing her laugh, but getting to share in one as well. Shards, it had been far too long since he felt the soft ruffle of one roll through his lungs and play like a thrum of mallets against his ribs. Not that humor was something that strayed far from the brownrider. Not even in his most solemn treks was the young man totally devoid of that critical eye that catches those odd moments of dysfunction in both the civil and the natural world, but his expressions had been tamed and muted in the interest of survival... and well getting along with his comrades who... might not appreciate his more offbeat sensibilities. It was moments like this however that allowed him to unwind. A gruff and grumbly, snarky K'sel was not always a requirement.
Laying a hand to rest on his stomach in wake of the subsiding chuckles, he couldn't help but tilt his chin up in recognition of her empty wine glass playtoy, "Careful with your claws there, you're libel to commit a party foul like that," it was an idle comment though, one that was quickly excused in favor of reading her expression as she mulled over the options he laid before her. No, an actual brand stuck right on his behind was not in his plans, of course as unpredictable as wild animals such as they were, he was not without back ups. Luckily she went with his first one - her approval stamped by the taps against his nose - the finger paints. An excellent choice if he could say so himself, and it definitely fulfilled the want for tactility in much more pleasurable ways than a knife against the skin (despite the questionable opinions of those who say otherwise... for the rider, the jury was still out).
"Stripes?" he purred contentedly as he watched her circle around and drape her arms around him from behind. He even canted his head as to let his hair fall away to the pull of gravity and open up access to his ear, but her whisper did little to change the pleased expression on his face. Oh sure he could stalk... assuming she was talking about the practical kind and not the creepy follow all of your ex lovers around like a crazed maniac way. The apparently joke he could make as to the difference was one that he was going to leave unsaid though, "I'd like to think you don't live a long time if you are always being stalked and not doing the stalking my Fine Feline," suggestions of thievery were left aside and excused as metaphor. He had never been keen on the concept of stealing, and avoided it when he could, but ultimately he was no moral paradigm. K'sel was doing everything he had to do, and without any apparent conflict rose to his feet, resting a hand on his hip, "Yes... lets free our inner artists... in the name of catharsis or whatever excuse you want to give to get each other dirty..."

An actual honest smile was offered to K’sel as Elysia drew away from the table and it’s empty wineglass. Her dark eyes danced with playful amusement. “Yes stripes. Like a tiger.” Her hand came up in a mockery of claws then and she swiped at the air with a light. “Grrrrr.” Had it been anyone else she likely wouldn’t have felt so at ease, nor would she be into mimicry. But then the older woman was always different with the ones who she actually considered her friends. Such people were few and far between but well from the first meeting with him the Benden woman had always felt some connection with this brownrider. Whether it was because K’sel was different, fun, or something else she couldn’t say. But Elysia was more then content to label him as fellow animal and more importantly fellow feline.
“Indeed. It is much more pleasant to be the hunter rather then the hunted.” The greenrider replied in a purring tone to her companion’s words. Much, much more pleasant. No one wanted to be stalked, but the thrill of being the hunter was one that was hard to top. Nothing quite matched it. Elysia turned around to saunter back through the gather, pausing every once in awhile to make sure that K’sel was coming with her. Dark eyes watched the brownrider as often as they also watched the crowd around them looking for anyone who might take a dangerous level of interest in her. Thankfully her drab holder grab seemed to do wonders to help her blend in. As long as she toned the accent down she did well enough playing the part of Hyphen holder.
It wasn’t long before Elysia got to the face painting station and found an unoccupied table. So what if they hadn’t signed up for the competition? It didn’t seem that they were monitoring the thing all that closely. Besides since when did animals care for rules? As she passed a table the older woman quickly swiped fingers through the paint and then stalked around the table dark eyes fixed on her ‘canvas’.
A light purr left the greenrider’s throat before she reached over to lightly trail her paint dipped fingers across K’sel’s left cheek, giving him half a set of whiskers. An amused smile spread slowly over her face before she reached over to pop a few more buttons open on his shirt. “Think I need a bigger area to express my creativity.” Was her only explanation before Elysia pressed her palm into some blue paint and pressed it to the brownrider’s right pectoral muscle. “I think my inner artist likes dirty~.”

The funny thing about Elysia and K'sel was the fact that the brownrider had very little idea that this was not the woman's normal behavior. For all of his experiences with her, clawing at the air and adding grrr seemed to come just as easily as plain Pernese. Sure, while he had heard various different things, ranging from rumors of prickliness to more salacious acts coming from his current companion, the sources of such words were suspicious at best, and while he wouldn't doubt the bite of a feline and disregard it's growl as mere reputation alone, the man found certain pride in experiencing and discovering the truth of a situation on his own. It was a careful dance, but one that had worked for him so far...
Besides, it had been established by now that K'sel himself was hardly acting much as he did back in at Selenitas. It was hard to tell what the true catalyst was for his brightened spirits, (and how long the condition would last, he was prone to taking on emotions in bouts) but it was probably a combination of Elysia's presence and getting free of the oppressive hierarchy of the weyr. So it was that he followed her then, moving amongst the holders, looking ever so briefly at their bodies if not their faces as matching eye lines tended to attract much more attention than they could afford to have. He wasn't particularly worried anyway. He at least had alibis. Alibis that knew him by another name, as a troubadour tagging along on their trading caravan, but they were still a cover nonetheless and he could always point out one of them to verify his identity as a mere holdless rover.
Meeting only seconds later at the table, the brownrider chose to sit on it rather than at it, leaning over the top to let the greenrider mark him with her paint. Whiskers she gave him, though he rather thought he had plenty of those that came in naturally. Still, he let her have her fun, wrinkling his nose at the cold of the pigment against his skin, first reacting to his cheeks and then of course when the woman managed to pop open his shirt and leave a print on his chest. He didn't even have to look down at it to know that he liked it, complimenting her artistic senses as he pondered a color he would begin using himself, "Haha, you're running out of buttons before you'll just have me de-robed, but then I don't mind, you're leaving me marked with such pretty pictures."
His fingers came up with their selection of red, and he began painting her in exchange with tiny little dapples along her shoulder and collarbone. The light touches came together, appearing more and more like paw prints trailing up towards her neck. Doodling could indeed be fun.

The little dabbles of K’sel’s finger along her collarbone caused Elysia to purr, dark eyes half lidding before she tilted her head up towards him, purposely offering more of her neck to him. The paint was a touch colder then she would have liked but the sensation of actually being marked with the paint was worth the cold. Hmm what to do next? K’sel’s comment made the greenrider chuckle. “I would hope you wouldn’t complain. I can’t say that I’ve actually had many complain at all when it’s me doing the de-robing.” A feral smile offered her companion before she dipped her hand in the water bowl so conveniently placed at the table and picked up some yellow paint. Pursing her lips she debated before carefully painting a swirled marking around the brownrider’s right nipple and from there mixing up some orange. For all her playful baiting Elysia actually did find herself drawn to art, even if she couldn’t do much besides stick figures. So this was riiiight up her alley.
Tiger made good choices. A finger trailed along right beneath the swirled marking, making a line on K’sel’s right pectoral. Slowly she painted thin stripes under the swirl marking. “What do you think your little wolf pack will think of my art?” Stepping only a little step back the greenrider smiled and debated the bigger picture. What else was needed? Hmm. Anything hugely intricate was sadly beyond her ability but then that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to have her fun. Moving back into the brownrider’s space Elysia dipped her head to undo the final buttons on his shirt with her teeth. Bringing her head back up she smiled and then pushed the shirt over his shoulders to let it fall to the ground. Just couldn’t resist the teasing apparently. Even with something as ‘innocent’ as finger painting. “You’re starting to look like some wild jungle warrior. Should get you some feathers and a lion cloth.” Oh yes she was very amused.
For a brief moment the Benden woman glanced around the area before again submitting to K’sel’s artistic tendencies. Hadn’t drawn too much of a crowd for their antics yet but eventually they would sadly need to flee. For now Elysia was actually looking forward to seeing what the brownrider decided would look good on her. You know besides paw prints. Hmm maybe she should give him better facial war paint in return. What would look good with whiskers…
