Cainith forged through the jungle, pushing aside ferns, pulling down low-hanging vines, and bending saplings that got in his path. Rollhead sat on his sweating skull, body hidden in the man's now sweat-sodden hair, his tail drooping down Cainith's neck like a blue rat tail and his head lying on Cainith's forehead like a sapphire brow jewel, his bright green eyes showing he was secure that the Goddess would protect him from any dangers the jungle might bring.
Behind him, Armind followed the giant man, likely glad for the clearing being performed but likely unhappy trying to keep up with his long-legged pace. He was probably at least glad Cainith had made his 'mandyr stop mindyelling at him... for the first mile, his head was filled with nothing but, "You clear path Goddess shall tread! You bow before Goddess, let know you glad Goddess grace you with presence! Give Goddess food offering, Goddess may hunger!" Finally Cainith had relented and convinced the irritating little blue that "the Goddess shall use her mighty divine powers to clear the path for her follower." Armind likely wasn't glad to agree about being Cainith's "follower", but it might have been worth it to escape the near-constant mindspeak giving him a headache.
As they reached a particularly large tree, Cainith stopped. Rubbing his bearded chin in thought, he seemed to make some mental measurements, then turned to Armind. "Well, cub," he began, "This is one of the tallest trees in this jungle, at least within a walking distance that doesn't require supplies. Can you climb it, and if not, do you trust me?"
