Yeomenth's glow had been steadily growing and she was more than happy to show it off. She wanted the males to know. They had to be ready if they wanted to be worthy. She didn't want spur of the moment chasers. She wanted competitors. She wanted rivals. She wanted the best, strongest males in all of Pern!
Yawning, Yeomenth stretched and surveyed the day. It was bright and clear, with dawn just creeping over the horizon. It would do. She spread her wings and dove for the feeding grounds, snatching an unsuspecting herdbeast and sucking it dry of blood. She could feel the fire burning inside her as she did so. Yes, today was a good day to fly! Taking another prey under her claws, she sucked it dry too.
Pushing off the ground, Yeomenth's powerful wings took her high into the air. She roared a strong and piercing challenge for all to hear. Come all who dare to chase me! she demanded, her violet eyes fierce and cold. Come if you think yourselves worthy of my beauty! They had better come prepared. This was not a game. This was a Flight!
Kyr'n had known this was coming. It was hard to miss Yeomenth's color and her increasingly arrogant attitude. He knew, and he dreaded it. They'd covered Flights and he knew what was coming. Not for the first time he wished he'd Impressed something, anything male instead of female. Even if they chased more often, it had to be better than the torment Yeomenth would probably put him through. At least she seemed to like larger males. If he got some girl pregnant from this, he would never forgive his dragon.
He was sleeping when Yeomenth started, however, waking with her roar. His mind filled with her desire, her arrogance, and her vanity and he leaped out of bed almost at once. The part of his mind that was still his bellowed with fury. Yeomenth! If you humiliate me, I swear I'll...I'll...! You will do what, Kyr'n dear? Yeomenth purred seductively. Just relax. You may enjoy it. Kyr'n raged, but his mind was already hers. He stalked down the hall to the Flightrooms, his gate proud and sure. He would only take the best and they had better come prepared.

Venideth gave a mental sigh as Yeomenth's call went across the Weyr. He was not the biggest fan of his dark green clutchsister, but his clutchsister she was, and he was honor-bound to attend her maiden Flight. His eyes switched to a swirl of Flightlust purple and annoyed orange as he sent to Lilu, who was currently bathing after her morning exercise, "Lilumine, Yeomenth Flies. I must attend, as she is my clutchsister." Anything beyond that was unnecessary, as Venideth was well aware His had much more Flight experience than he, and she would likely know what to do.
Moving from his couch, Venideth stretches his wings carefully, followed by his legs and back. The work his rider put him through made him an amazing piece of dragonflesh, toned, strong, and oiled to a perfect sheen, but he knew he would not be putting all that to work on this Flight... he would be an attendant for his clutchsister, not a true competitor. He was saving his energy for Gweneveth's maiden Flight, and so Yeomenth would have to be happy with simply his attendance. Spreading his wings, he took flight, looping around the weyrbowl once before finding an exit and shooting out into the open skies above the mountains and jungles surrounding the Weyr, his dark blue body like a spot of night that the rising sun's rays had yet to disperse. "I am here, sister," he sent towards Yeomenth, flying to circle his hovering clutchsister as she awaited her suitors.
Lilu, meanwhile, realizing this would be happening soon due to the age of Venideth's clutch, sighed to herself as she stood from her bathwater. Towelling off the sweetsand and water from her lithe body, she considered momentarily simply going nude, as it would avoid damaging any clothing that got in the way if the Lust took over completely, then decided against it for the sake of propriety as she slipped on a thigh-length tan skirt and a powder blue linen blouse, both items of clothing from her pre-Impression days that she would not miss if they were to be damaged or ruined. She considered putting on underpants, but then decided they would simply get in the way, so left her weyr to head towards the Flightrooms, her bare feet moving efficiently over the stone floor as she continued to towel-dry her hair on the way.

Tenloceth arched his neck towards the main room. That's my queue. He told M'ze as he stood up and started padding towards the exit. M'ze stopped what he was doing and stared after Tenloceth. Are you serious? Who are you so dead set after? Tenloceth didn't pause as he said, She who rises and calls. The Green Queen Yeomenth. Her coat shines like the sun on rare sparkly stones and her call is a sirens beckon!. Tenloceth flew up and through on of the exit tunnels, banking as he came out and looking for Yeomenth. He saw her form, flying near her but giving her the respect due. I heed your call Warrior Queen of Skies! He said as he flew by.
M'ze stood for several moments staring into the space Tenloceth flew out of. When did his Mindmate become eloquent and start talking weird? He couldn't fully wrap his head around it but accepted the inevitable and headed for the flight rooms in nothing more than a pair of dark colored pants.

"I hate you."
You are literally hardwired not to hate me.[/i]
"Well, it isn't stopping me, is it."
Whatever you say. You know, the name T'ri really does fit you well, you're as dumb as one.[/i]
"C'mon, Henny, you can do better than that. She's that distracting, huh. You know you're the reason Roselle's stroping out on me, right?"
Arhenaiyth snorted and rolled over, slitting a suspiciously purplish eye at the green plunging towards the feeding pens. T'ri was struggling with a set of straps - he'd made a sort of half harness thing that worked just fine, but apparently it wasn't up to code, so he was being forced to re-do it. His other set had been just fine in his opinion, but nooooo. Apparently innovations were not welcomed here.
Arhenaiyth got to his feet, and T'ri dumped the tangle of leather on the ground, dusting off his hands and adjusting his low-necked striped tank top. "Well, at least she has good timing, I totes picked a hot outfit today," he sighed, tucking his feet into leather moccasins and heading out the door. Time to find the lady. Yeomenth's is a dude.[/i] "Even better. What is it you have about greens with man-riders, anyway. You know I prefer the ladies."
Henny ignored his rider, getting up and stretching lazily before flopping off his ledge, turquoise wings carrying him towards the calling green. Yeomenth,[/i] he greeted, his typically sarcastic tone even stronger than usual. Beauty you are,[/i] he added, still dry, If you like that sort of thing, I mean. Who're these losers?[/i] Flipping sideways, he coasted around Venideth, marking the other blue. The two were of a size, Venideth perhaps more purposefully muscular than Arhenaiyth, but T'ri had been working Henny lately and the blue was drastically more fit and graceful than he had been in his first few flights. Catching Tserieth hadn't exactly been a fluke, although the green clearly hadn't been prepared for Arhenaiyth's aggression, either. Hmph. Let's see if they can keep up,[/i] he murmured to Yeomenth only, turning a sudden flip over the larger Tenloceth and dashing towards the green. It would take a bit of quick thinking to get out of his way, but Arhenaiyth wasn't actually trying to grab her yet. Just get her moving. He did like catching, after all. And a longer flight meant a longer fall. He'd put up with it as long as possible.

Gus should have known that Oth would fly sooner or later. The brown always did have a thing for the ladies, of any species...and it was difficult to miss the endless flirting that went on between he and any receptive females.
It was a little sickening.
Still, when Yeomenth dove towards the feeding grounds, Oth was watching, one eye swirling with violet and watching silently. Au'st was still asleep, as usual, tangled up in his covers. The brown watched the green shoot towards the feeding grounds with muted interest, shooting Au'st, who still slept, a stray thought.
My dear sister thinks she's a queen. The thought contained amusement for Gus only, who let out a groan when the brown interrupted his sleep. "What?" He practically whined, blinking groggily into his weyr, rubbing his eyes. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed most of the time, and least of all when he first woke up. Oth went on like his rider hadn't just asked such a stupid question. Yeomenth flies. The least we can do is humor her. You should get up.
That's all Oth said before he rose, rumbling lightly as he dove from his ledge, massive wings catching his weight and taking him aloft. He joined the chasers in short order, nearing Yeomenth leisurely and making she saw how the light glinting off his sinewy muscles. He was positively ripped. Because when he couldn't get his lazy rider to take him out to trained, he joined in on Oth's training.
Of course, he didn't say anything to his green sibling, just let her know he was there, and he ignored the other chasers as unimportant save for Venideth, who got a companionable nudge of the mind before he let himself fall back a bit. He was among one of the bigger chasers, and it was foolish to stick to the green's tail.
Au'st growled, disturbing a sleeping Amelia, who had just come back from her nightly travels. "Get off of me." He growled, shoving the salamandyr away. She just fluttered her wings and moved to curl up on the boy's pillow as he finally got up, flashing the 'mandyr a dirty look before he finally moved, albeit extremely slowly, towards his dresser.
He threw on some clothes, not even bothering to make sure they matched and combed his hair out once before he padded out of the room and towards the flightrooms. He still didn't completely know what was going on, and his eyes were still clouded with sleep and he kept yawning...but the flightlust was creeping in.

Mo’rya had to admit that when it came to mating behaviour his dragon was as calm and confident as he was in every other aspect of his life. Though he watched Yeomenth with interest Epifayrmuth did not bother to posture, either at other males, or to gain the green’s attention. He simply watched, and waited, his intentions clear, to Mo’rya if to no one else.
Therfore when Epifayrmuth rose from his recumbent position to respond to the piercing challenge the green issued Mo’rya was if not prepared then at least unsurprised. As the bronzerider let his quarters the crowd of winged pets following him thinned out until by the time he was halfway down the corridor he was left with only the small yet tubby form of his salamandyr perched on his shoulder. A slight poke to the creature only led to him raising his half frill and digging his claws into Mo’rya, though, quite unusually Wit failed to speak. Even without words it was clear he wasn’t going yet.
Worth is earned, dear Yeomenth, not given. I have come to meet you challenges. Epifayrmuth announced himself with a comment that might well put the armoured green’s back up, but in that calm statement, and his clear announcement of his intentions, the dwarfed bronze showed his nature. His rivals in this contest were largely ignored for now, other than noting who they were and where. Epifayrmuth was not here for them.

Ioth perked up a little from his agitated but restful position on his couch. Interesting. The blue had been growing more aware of the young greens getting to rise but he hadn't quite anticipated that one rising today. She was a perky little thing, though, wasn't she? So young and yet challenging the males to prove themselves to her. A challenge the blue was tempted to show her that she hadn't earned the right to think herself better than older greens yet. He was quite testy of late, if he was being honest with himself. It had been quite a while since he even bothered with a green, really. The vague memory of failure after failure of being chosen by his few favourites...
"Ugh, if you're going then go! You're driving me nuts with all that pent up...whatever," Iskierka snapped, kicking Gawain's most recent prey off the edge of her ledge as she did so. Birds. Really. And bird brains. "Go, Ioth. Permission granted, whatever, just don't kill any of the males because you're grumpy." Because that would be on her head...and well, apparently dead people are a problem. For more reasons than a waste of resources. It wasn't like she truly wanted anyone else dead anyway, nevermind that it would be on her head.
With that Ioth uncoiled from his tight little ball. It was really the only way he could stay ground-bound if he was awake, an anchor of sorts to keep him from just flying about all the time. He all but slithered off his ledge with a faint hiss of considerably darker amusement than the blue was known for. Why so amused? Because most of his opponents were young dragons, weyrlings or nearly so. He vaguely wondered if the other older males had been put off by her attitude. Well, no matter. He'd play with the young ones for a while then.
The elder blue swooped in among the chasers, circling around, under, and over them as he kept an eye on the green. May I join you, oh beautiful maiden green? Ioth offered, though for once he had no intention of leaving if she said no.
Iskierka, meanwhile, pulled off her long sleeve workout shirt and revealed the still dry, wickedly tight t-shirt underneath. So much for going for her workout. The bluerider considered giving in fully to Ioth to improve his chances - really, testy male dragons were like being pms-y twenty-four/seven. It was damn tiring - but reconsidered due to his mood. She let loose her control enough to give him some freedom, more than she usually gave him, but retained just enough so that she was aware of what she was doing.
Her feet were only in socks so she moved almost silently through the halls to the flightrooms where any smart greenrider would have gone. Judging by the sense through the bond she figured the weyrlingrider was at least not stupid. Iskierka rolled her shoulders back once as she finally caught sight of the flightrooms. Showtime.

Oh shards no. Perienmoth was not going to have any of this, and he began to immediately seethe in his place there on his ledge, not knowing exactly what it was that he should do with himself. It was unbecoming to come off so forward, so brash, but the fiery and demanding nature of this wild green piqued in him exotic desires. Such flushes of emotion were not at all familiar to his rider either. Well, at least not directed from him. The young woman had felt it before, though she had felt the flip side of the coin really. As opposed to the desire to run and never be caught, she wanted the feeling of hide between her own claws, and she raised her hands to her face for a moment to watch them involuntarily clench in mimicry of the thought. So odd.
Twitching his wings, the icy blue took to his feet, growling into Osnat's brainwaves clearly, How foolish they are to think they are worthy of Yeomenth. Especially my own clutchbrothers. With little warning he shook off the sleep from his body in a wiggle, before launching off of his ledge and putting his muscles to work, barreling straight for an exit tunnel while the woman remained in a half daze in her weyr. It was always something wasn't it? First Levi's run, then Levi's clutch, and now this. What a perfect time for her dragon to take off on his freshman flight.... gah, if only he could just be a late bloomer!
Of course this idea was preposterous to Perienmoth, who shot back quickly, A gentle-dragon is late for nothing. Especially a flight such as this.... His words shifted away quickly from the former sailor's mind to touch at the rising green, and reply to her challenge. He could show her after all the suave sophistication of a knight in her service, Unleashed you are a sultry minx my Yeomenth. Does this sorry crowd think that they can tame you? Best you? Of course that was his own plan all along. He loved a project, the crazier the better, and she made an acceptable start for his quests. The only hurdle he saw was his infernal brother, obviously arrogant enough to stand in his way. This was a qualm he was quick to make clear, looping the darker blue into the next comment, And Venideth, what good will he do you?
Not that he thought too highly of the others, but that was neither here nor there. As young as he was, the dragon had not a chance to even meet most of the others, and Oth he tolerated partially because of Osnat's affinity to Au'st.
Speaking of which, Osnat, snapped out of it finally, mainly due to a very irked Leviathan, Snicker snicker, blue butts chasing the wannabe queen. I go with Ozzzzznaht, take me to challenger of throne. Show her true royalty. Furrowing her brow and casting a dark glance at the gold who was bouncing toward her shoulder, she knew she had little time to actually argue and instead bolted out the door before the menace could latch on and follow. Yeah, the little queen was bad enough, but mixed into another's mating dance? No, thanks, she wanted to get out of this one alive.

Yeomenth circled, eying her chasers with critical disdain. They were not quite what she had hoped for. Blues mostly, and only one small bronze in the lot. She flashed her tail angrily. Well, the other males would learn their mistake. She would not tolerate tardiness. These would do this time. She dove a little closer, addressing each of the males as they arrived.
Well met, brothers, she purred to Venideth and Oth. She knew that Venideth preferred her sister, but that didn't mean she wasn't pleased to seem both her brothers. Her gaze went to Tenceloth. Strong words, can you match them? she asked, her voice falsely sweet. Arheniayth got a snort of displeasure at his tone. Watch your tongue, she warned. Or you may be one. Epifayrmuth got a purr of approval, despite his size. True enough and you are welcome to try. She was pleased to see another of her brother's had joined them and with such skilled words too. Only time will tell, dear brother, she told him with amusement. Ioth was last and, for all he was a blue, he was not one to ignore. His experience alone set him apart from the others. Of course, she agreed haughtily.
Yeomenth was just considering how to begin the challenge when Arheniayth charged at her. She growled and rolled to the side, snapping at his tail as he passed. She didn't mind drawing some blood during her first flight and he would do well to remember that. Know your place, she warned dangerously. This is MY game! With that she rose higher than ever, into the blinding light of the sun. Then she dropped, turning in same moment to dive past and under them. Let's see them keep up with me, she cooed to herself.
Kyr'n watched his males arrive, sniffing haughtily at each one. They were hardly what he waned, but he supposed they would have to do. He wasn't just going to pick one on a whim though. Moving to the bed, he sat, stretching his legs out seductively. "Well now," he intoned, echoing Yeomenth's thoughts form above. Inside, Kyr'n was fuming. How dare she make him act like a woman! "You're a sorry lot. Think you can impress me?" He waved his hand, inviting them to try.

Venideth's eyes swirled red-purple at Arhenaiyth's comment towards himself and Yeomenth, but he remained silent, simply watching the older blue with narrowed eyes as he flew by and joined the group of chasers. The other chasers were mostly ignored, though Oth got a pulse of greeting in return... until Perienmoth showed up, at least. At his blue brother's mental jab, Venideth gave the draconic equivalent of a dark chuckle as he responded, "Oh, brother Perienmoth, you truly have no idea what I am capable of... if you are lucky, you will not find out this day."
Suddenly, Arhenaiyth aggressively dove towards Yeomenth, and though his green sister avoided the maneuver, Venideth quickly cut around, flying before Arhenaiyth as his eyes swirled a dangerous red, sending, "This is indeed my sister's game... and you had best watch how you play it, knave. Else you might find your disrespectful tongue torn from your throat." Then, the Flight was on, and Venideth hung back, keeping a close eye on his greensister's overzealous suitor, flexing his claws in readiness to protect her honor... Yeomenth might not be his favorite sister, but his sister she still was, and a certain level of respect was required. A level Venideth was ready to enforce.
Lilu, meanwhile, watched Kry'n's antics with slight amusement, noting the fury in his eyes contrasting his sultry, feminine maneuverings. Crossing her arms, her Flightlust well under control due to her own experience in dealing with it combined with Venideth's role in the flight more as attendant than participant, she leaned her back against the wall, simply observing the tableau for now.

Tenloceth tried to ignore the fact that there where many other males, especially the bronze that rose to greet the maiden green. A small part him battled whether she would even want him there. The initial burst of courage had died down and now he was wondering if it had been a bad idea.
But then....She spoke to him! Surely if she was willing to speak to him, he could be wanted yes? Maybe not for the final act but he could participate in her glorious flight. I will let you be the judge mi'lady. I shall follow your siren's call and give chase where you lead! He replied with as much confidence as he could muster. He didn't want to let her down. His head turned and his eyes took a brief flicker of annoyance as he saw one of the blues go for Yeomenth. It was too soon! A growl rumbled his chest. He watched as she struck out to draw blood and the flight began!
Tenloceth pumped his wings to rise up and follow. The sun was so bright she was like a glowing nova and both and he felt his eye lids squint to block out so much light. So fast! So daring! To fly into the sun! But instead of speaking to her more he was wanting to be the first to follow in her wild flight...to show her he might be worthy of more than a passing glance.
Suddenly she dropped and he got a brief glimpse of her back as she dived down. No! He had worked hard! His bulky muscles weren't the best at agility flights so he simply tucked his wings and pointed his nose down, using his tail as a rudder to turn him onto the right course. This was her game and if she wanted to make him work....he would!.
Meanwhile M'ze stood there and contemplated what to do. He wasn't exactly thrilled of whom Tenloceth chased but he wasn't opposed either. It seemed their green wasn't all that enthused either. The whole situation mingled with Tenloceth's own nervousness simply gave the young man pause. Impress her? He had a feeling fancy words and goofy acts wouldn't do it. But neither would just standing there looking stupid.
As he contemplated his next move he saw a glimmer of blue peeking out from under the bed. That skinny little snout looked familiar and oh geez.... It was Kyanus! M'ze could feel the flitter enjoying his 'bigger brother's' flight and was afraid of what he might do. Sure enough to never disappoint he opened his little jaws wide and.....
M'ze took several steps forward and swooped the little blue firelizard as he went to chomp on Kyr'n's leg or what ever was covering it. You need to leave things alone. Don't bite! The blue pouted for a moment and scrambled down M'ze as if he had no wings and hid under the bed. The eyes where watching though.....watching and waiting.
"My apologizes for the little one mi'lady" He subconsciously mimicked Tenloceth. "You look good enough to eat and he's never been good with temptation." Boy did that sound corny but what else was there to say to this aggressive green?

Epifayrmuth noted the angry lash of the green’s tail but couldn’t fathom the reason for her irritation, expected more or better males possibly, or was irked by the absence of a favourite. A puzzling thing but not something the bronze gave more than a passing thought to as he circled, Yeomenth the focus of his patient attention.
As the green dived down closer Epifayrmuth twitched a wing so he could drift a little closer, reinforcing the concept that he was here to meet her challenges, though he said nothing more. All that was needed was already spoken. Even the small bronze’s disapproval of Arheniayth’s rash move didn’t need to be spoken as the blue seemed to have been reprimanded by Yeomenth herself, and if he was going to irritate her so early on, well, that would be Arheniayth’s own fault.
The dwarfed dragon gamely soared after Yeomenth when she strove for height, a shadow against the sun. When she dove he followed, though he kept bacxk a little, ready to pull up sharply if he had to.
Mo’rya blinked slowly at those in the room with him, he thought he recognised some of them but all that came to mind when he looked at them were the names of dragons, names he knew weren’t quite right. The proving dance. Journey’s end in lover’s meetings. Wit took that moment to remind Mo’rya of his existence, making the Bronzerider jump slightly. Wit. At least he remembered who that was. Yeomenth spoke then, driving all thought of other things from his mind.
‘What would have us do my dear?’ Mo’rya inquired, stepping forward slightly. ‘Surely we cannot best you in looks.’ The bronzerider’s hand reached out toward K’ryn but his fingertips stopped just short of touching the greenrider’s face, it was a caress the greenrider would have to accept if he wanted it.

She agreed. She agreed like it was her right to have him there. Interesting. Ioth would show her a good time then. Or, at least, have a good time himself. She might not appreciate him for it but he didn't particularly mind ruffling a couple feathers on occasion. Not when they seemed so easy to ruffle already. He watched neutrally as the young blue charged at Yeomenth, anticipation coiling through his system because he knew one way or another the chase was about to start. If nothing else the flight would offer him a chance to simply move, to burn off his excess of energy.
Ioth sprang into action the moment she began moving. She rose and he shadowed her - quite literally, actually - until she moved to drop under the rest of the chasers. He twisted in order to move above the other chasers, sandwiching them between himself and Yeomenth. Ioth kept his height advantage over the others, watching their movements and that of the green's. What would the youngling do next to test 'her' males he wondered.
Iskierka, rather than focusing on the greenweyrling, focused instead on the chasers. It was pretty obvious that he was already well and truly gone. One of the girls seemed to have things under control. On the other hand, two of the guys were lost as well. She would have continued examining each of them but the greenweyrling chose that moment to distract her with his words. Well lookie there, he had posed for them and everything. Iskierka snorted softly and wondered if she had ever put herself on display like that during flights. Everyone had their young days as a rider, after all.
The bluerider smiled at the boy's challenge, sharp amusement in her features. She didn't move from her spot but she did address him. "I know I could impress you. Why don't you show me why I should?" Part of it certainly was Ioth's influence but the other part was purely Iskierka's sentiment. Why should she do anything for the benefit of some brat if he was being too haughty to prove to her why she should?

Honestly, that snort was what got Arhenaiyth. She was a pretty green, after all, as much as he'd never admit it, but she had spirit. Fine. And how'm I supposed to do that?[/i] he drawled in response, although the his sarcastic tone had a warmth that had been missing a few moments before. My tongue's generally in my mouth, although I suppose some of these others might prefer to let theirs fly free. Shall I see if I can fetch someone else's tongue for you? I could watch that...[/i] She wasn't listening, though, busy talking to her other chasers, and Arhenaiyth wasn't really looking for a response, anyway. He was looking for an opening.
And there it was. He lunged, she spiraled away, snapping at his tail and managing to draw blood when he made another clumsy grab. That, and her words, drew a dark chuckle from the blue as he flicked his damaged tail tip away, splattering ichor on the approaching Venideth. All greens think it's their game. We'll see.[/i] On the ground, T'ri glanced towards the ceiling, nearly at the flightrooms now. Well aren't we in a good mood today? Arhenaiyth just kept laughing - he was in a good mood.
Looking at the sun just wasn't worth it - Arhenaiyth was a blinky dragon, one of Jingth's dark-visioned babies, his eyes permanently filmy and sensitive to light - so while Yeomenth went and did her thing, he turned his attention to Venideth. The other Blue had lunged and been completely ignored by Arheniayth, with the slight exception of the ichor spatter. Now, the turquoise blue marked Venideth's every move, simply to annoy him. Everyone with the tongues today. Yeomenth wants me to watch mine, but I don't quite see how that's possible. Can I borrow yours?[/i] Without any further warning, Arhenaiyth went for Venideth's throat. The blue wasn't really one to fake anything, so claws were out, although the lunge was half-hearted at best. Enough to startle Venideth, hopefully, make his heart beat faster and his adrenaline surge. If Arhenaiyth got close enough, claws would trail along Venideth's jaw, tickling instead of puncturing. Henny wasn't much worried about damage to himself; he'd taken his fair share of abuse in these flights before. She's more than capable of telling me what she wants, and I do still need one to watch... stick yours out, wouldn't you? Promise I only need it until you bleed to death.[/i]
While Arhenaiyth was busy antagonizing everyone alive, as usual, T'ri was much more interested in seduction. That was how the two of them always played it - Henny was bad cop, T'ri got to be sexy cop. Sliding through the door, he kicked off his moccasins, tipping an invisible hat at Yeomenth's. Kyr'n, if he remembered correctly. He stayed silent at first, but Ioth's made him laugh. Iskierka was a familiar face; Arhenaiyth and Ioth seemed to have similar tastes. "Isn't it obvious?" he purred, slipping into a flirty tone like a comfy pair of pants, "She's the lovely lady here, after all. We're all just dudes." Lilu and Osnat got particularly pointed glances, there, even though T'ri was talking primarily to Iskierka. Dudes indeed. "Some of the hottest dudes I've ever seen, 'course, but you know how ladies can be."

Yeomenth leveled out her dive, bringing up her nose to just shy of the trees. Leaves danced behind her and she turned to glance at her chasers once more. They had followed well enough. Tencoleth and Epifayrmuth were right with her. Ioth was the closest, his skill and speed impossible to miss against the younger dragons. She was pleased by their efforts, but it seemed she had other matters to attend to first. These foolish males would never listen, it seemed.
She had ignored Arhenaiyth's pert answer, satisfied that the ichor she had drawn would put him in his place. Yet apparently he was not satisfied simply to annoy her, but he had to charge her brother as well. Pumping her wings, Yeomenth rose, pushing herself between the two with a snarl of annoyance. Enough! she commanded, risking another swipe at the older blue. Or I will take your tongue and feed it to my Chosen myself! Flipping over them, she offered Venideth a reluctant purr of approval. It was good of him to defend her, but she could deal with this one herself for now.
Rising again with the currents, Yeomenth dove once more. She was not an agile acrobat, but she loved to drop from the sky at dizzying speeds. This time she dipped into the canyon itself, dodging rock ledges in the narrow space. She laughed as she flew, delighting in her own skill and the sense of power at being in control. She ducked under one ledge, over another, and skimmed the water as she passed. They were doing well so far, but she was not tired yet. She had more challenges yet to come.
Kyr'n eyed the fire lizard on his leg with disgust, but fortunately M'ze took it away before he could act. He was not pleased, but at least M'ze had acted quickly that was something. He shrugged at him, accepting the apology. Most of the other males seemed willing enough to please, though not smart enough to think of something themselves. It was no matter. He didn't need males to be smarter than him. Lilu was ignoring him though and Iskierka was almost insulting in her response.
Kyr'n snorted, but rose from the bed with a sly smile. "Why indeed," he returned sweetly. He moved to Mor'ya, returning his caress with one of his own. "You see," he went on, brushing M'ze's hair as he passed. "I want only the best." He took T'ri's hand for a second and smirked at him before letting go. Then he gazed smugly to Lilu and Iskierka. "After all," he drawled playfully. "Why would you be here if didn't want to play?" He danced back to the center of the room, and nodded gently. He still wanted to see what they would do to please him. Perhaps a dance or a fight? It matter little to him, so long as it was for him alone.
