Physical Appearance;
Dy'shi's a medium tan colour and bears a face that is easily read. Over the turns he has lost some but certainly not all of his boyish charm in his face. While not unattractive he certainly fits the category of cute better than manly. Lighter freckles decorate the bridge of a small nose and there's a sprinkling over his cheeks. Evidence suggests that more freckles (really more like beauty marks, they're so sparse) can be found elsewhere on his body. He has thick black hair that curls gently; he has cut it shorter so that it doesn't pass his ears. His eyes are probably the most unflattering of all. They're the colour of a runner beast's, lending him deceptively unintelligent looking eyes.
Much like he himself predicted, Dy'shi never did grow very tall at all. If anything he's about the size of the average woman at 5'4. He retained a slim figure despite growing skill with a blade and extra training. As a result Dy'shi isn't very strong though he does have a decent endurance. He can put his all into anything for as long as it takes for him to simply collapse but once he loses momentum he can't get it back so easily. He can be a fast sprinter but he can never keep the speed up for terribly long so usually he just doesn't bother.
His wardrobe hasn't improved much in his turns at Selenitas, sadly. He earns his own marks, true enough, but he's loathe to spend any of them. Especially for something as frivolous as properly fitting, non-clashing clothes. The hand-me-downs from his family fit him a little better now anyways even if they are kinda strange. Seeing him in bright red and unflattering yellow-green at the same time is still quite possible. He no longer cares about what he wears though - he's gotten used to it.
Personality;
Dy'shi incredible work ethic has followed him into adulthood. This is more due to habit and a genuine desire to do well than any need to prove himself to anyone anymore. In this sense he's become much more individualistic. He's less likely to look to others for approval when a task is complete and he'll even prefer to do things his way than listen to strict instructions on how to do something. This sometimes does get him in trouble and he's always horribly contrite if he gets yelled at for it but, really, his way was better, why can't they understand?
Dy'shi still has his senesitive side and it's as easy to trigger as ever. He's gotten better about hiding his hurt but it's still very much there and all the more dangerous because he doesn't let it out. When it overflows and he just can't handle it he'll throw an outright tantrum, screaming and stomping and genuinely being frightful to be around until he calms down.He's also sensitive to others' feelings and is quick to lend a comforting word or defend them from perceived threats to their emotional or physical well-being to the detriment of his own. He is quick to consider others his friends and doesn't really need much in return other than a bit of their time and attention.
Though not spoiled in the least, Dy'shi can be annoyingly sulky sometimes. Most times its sulking at the injustices in his life in general but it can be related specifically to an incident in which he didn't get his way when he felt he ought to. He acknowledges this lack in himself and hopes he can stop it but it is a tough part of him to leave behind. Speaking of acknowledging his faults, Dy'shi is bad about counting only the faults and not so much the good things about himself. Although not unintelligent (quite the contrary, actually), this observant rider can see all the good of another and admire them for something he might already have but not admit he has. This can occasionally lead to a bit of hero worship.
His phobia about being responsible for a living thing has diminished greatly. Pets are definitely okay and though the idea of having children of his own scares him he's okay around others'. Almost as a trade off, Dy'shi has become a bit jaded towards the concept of love. His on-again, off-again relationship with Kyr'n has left him wondering just what love really is and if he had it between himself and the greenrider...well, maybe it would be best not to experience it again.
History;
Birth and Early Turns (3001-3011)
Dyleshi was born to Wodyle and Keanshi. The very much in love couple had four sons and three daughters, of which Dyleshi was the fifth and youngest boy. Unfortunately, despite the couple's love for each other they had neither the marks nor the time to support such a large family. The middling aged children were frequently ignored while the youngest got attention by necessity and the oldest because they could provide help. If one were to ask Dyleshi, he would say the last time he vaguely remembered being cuddled was when he was five and dragonriders force-mined Hyphen Hold.
Though he was too young to properly understand the war beyond stories of a scary man trying to do something at Selenitas Weyr and stories of 'not right' dragons being killed, Dyleshi's sense of justice bawked. The small or the weird looking deserved to live too! Still, there were more important things to him closer to home than some vague war based mostly in the North. As early as the tender age of nine, Dyleshi was helping out around the home as much as he could in a bid to get any sort of attention. He often fell far short of any attention but he kept trying and trying.
First Impressions (3011-3013)
Increasingly unhappy with how much he did to get so little recognition, Dyleshi ended up going out for long walks on beaches near his home. Even as young as he was he knew better than to go anywhere other than the relatively safe beaches. In his wanderings he ended up discovering a wild green firelizard's abandoned nest. Finally a chance to get a companion who would care about him! The boy snuck food from his family everyday and went to watch the eggs. The day they actually hatched he arrived almost too late. He rescued one little green from her shell before she drowned due to an incoming tide and she promptly Impressed to him.
He kept little Green hidden from his family, convinced they wouldn't care and determined to care for her himself. She was a sweet little thing and good company for Dyleshi. She would do anything the boy wanted if he asked. He considered her the perfect firelizard; she considered him the perfect human. It was not to last though, for the green slowly wasted away from sickness and she uttered a final loving cheep before she winked between. Having not shared Green with his family he received no symapthy for his random moping. He did learn to cope with his family better afterwards. He never gave up trying to impress them and slowly even took on their views of the war after Benden's siege; pointless and costly.
There was good news occasionally, such as Hepaticath's clutch hatching and producing a gold, but mostly Dyleshi ignored the goings on outside his little hold life. That was until a searchrider came and found him worthy of a dragon. Despite his disbelief, he went to the Weyr in the hope that they'd find him more helpful than his own family did. He was more than a little disappointed to discover that the Weyr had a disease running its course through the weyrfolk and strange disappearances occuring. Eventually he came to enjoy life at Selenitas because it was far easier to earn praise and the people there were friendly enough. Though terrified of standing and having to potentially take care of another life, Dyleshi became Dy'shi when the unique female blue, Chakraith, Impressed to him.
Weyr Life (3013-3016)
While awkward at first, Dy'shi discovered that Chakraith was not only capable of taking care of herself but him as well. A healthy bond slowly grew between them as they went through weyrlinghood with a class they enjoyed. Despite things like the river poisoning and Fort's attack Dy'shi continued to enjoy life at the Weyr. He found it far preferable to life at Hyphen. Or he did until Wasteland took over. Troubled by the takeover, his dragon's mutation, and his questionable sexuality, the boy was at a loss of what to do.
New Regime (3016-3017)
Dy'shi remained confused even after the Hyphen Gather (perhaps even moreso) though he began to understand that he wanted to have the skill to protect people. He had lost a close friend in the Wasteland takeover and he didn't want that to happen again. He began to search out someone who could teach him how to use the knife that had been a gift from his deceased friend while trying to steer clear of the Wastelanders. During the first turn of Wastelander control Dy'shi quite accidentally Impressed Sheya, a green firelizard, when Chakraith and Feyrianth conspired to get them near the hatching. While at first terrified of taking care of her, he slowly warmed up to it.
During the Wasteland regime Dy'shi found himself intrigued by a candidate. Kyrstin was his name and he was, to Dy'shi anyways, cold and mysognic but so vey interesting. They didn't see each other often but one memorable occasion was while Kyrstin was treating Dy'shi in the makeshift infirmary shortly after the earthquake that destroyed Dy'shi's home. He was definitely more concerned over his home than any sort of crush, though. Dy'shi was incredibly grateful for the intervention of Burimyu and the remerging of the weyrs. Some time after the merge he watch Kyr'n Impress Yeomenth with no small amount of amusement and also eventually Impressed a second firelizard, Khippei. He'd also managed to find a teacher and so life became very interesting for the maturing boy.
End of the War (3017-3020)
The beginning of the end of the war was relatively uneventful in the beginning for Dy'shi. It wasn't until very late in 3018 that Dy'shi actually got sent to Benden to train with them. And, well, he and Chakraith noticed quickly that they had a lack of genuine fighting experience. It was in early 3019, before the great war, that Chakraith and he were severely injured and confined to an infirmary for a week. It was during this time that he and Kyr'n grew more comfortable each other and the bluerider had the audacity to ask Kyr'n out for a celebratory drink when Chakraith was released. More surprising to Dy'shi was the fact that the other man accepted. So began the on and off again relationship between the two. With the support of someone to return to (sometimes), Dy'shi rejoined the fray with Chakraith and they participated in the major battle between Benden/Selenitas and Fort.
Afterwards (3020-present)
The Pern-wide summit following the subjugation of Fort was alarming to Dy'shi. The threat of being moved North - a friendless and dangerous place, in his mind - loomed over him. He thankfully was assigned to Selenitas Weyr even though his friend wasn't so lucky. During the off periods in his relationship with Kyr'n, Dy'shi had met and befriended L'am of Blue Jeth. Regrettably his friend was moved to Inverness and Dy'shi was left to his problematic relationship. Growing more and more confused by his feelings for Kyr'n and the greenrider's for him Dy'shi chose in late 3022 to try and break off the relationship completely. A month and a half later they were still separated, the previously annoying distance between their living places now somewhat helpful. Time will only tell if they remain that way...
Chakraith

Blue (female; 000055)
9 (November 3013)
Blue (female; 000055)
Physical Appearance;
Chakraith is one of a kind. Like Ruth, she is special in the fact there has not been a Dragon like her ever before. She is undoubtedly female, but she is also undoubtedly a Blue Dragon. Dark blue like the night sky near dust, Chakraith is a sight to behold. Starting at her nose, dark greenish blue stripes climb up from her forehead and descend down her neck and back. They continue down her back, to stop midway down her slender tail. Her hide in general has a particular shine to it, whether in the light or in the dark, it is like she refracts any light in the room.
Tall like a Blue, but slender and lithe like a Green, Chakraith has seemingly inherited the best of both worlds. She has a medium sized body but has a longer tail, her wings are also slightly bigger in size. Although she can obtain speeds as fast as any other Green, she chooses to fly slower whenever urgency is not needed. Slender legs are packed with muscle, allowing her grace on the ground as well as deadly force in battle. Black and grey claws are gently curved and end in sharp points. But these points often wear down or chip off, so Her Mine must often sharpen them to a point once more. Like any Green, she will Rise when the time comes, but she will glow Blue. A bright blue that is easily discerned from the color of her Hide.
Personality;
Down to Earth, Chakraith in incredibly grounded. She believes that beauty best reveals itself within a person, and that someone should not be judged by what they look like physically. The blue mainly remains quiet, speaking when she finds it necessary to do so. She has an incredible memory that could rival any Queen's, but she doesn't boast about it. Chakraith is not the type of Dragon to be arrogant or mean, it goes against her entire nature to be so. She is gentle and calm, she is a steadfast rock in the face of turmoil and trouble. Many humans, and Dragons, will be unexplainabley drawn to the strange sense of tranquility that she seems to emit. Chakraith can be found laying near groves of trees, or by the river, watching the current wash the leaves away to another destination. This Blue is deeply contemplative, but hardly ever argues with anyone unless she knows that her point is right.
Although she might not like fighting, she can easily slip into a fighting role if it means she can protect Her's or anyone else who is being attacked. Placid, even in battle. She can be very deadly, able to kill without much of a second thought. After she is done with the battle, and when the danger is gone, Chakraith will become remorseful. Taking lives, and hurting others is not something that she takes well when she had the time to reflect over what she has done. She is polite and respectful to those around her, knowing that the personality of others stems from their very nature.

6 (September 3016)
Green #003E04 #373E00 #DFE5DF
Physical Appearance;
This green’s appearance can only be described as refined, every line of her body seems to be elongated yet elegant. As a hatchling she will look gangling but coordinated but as an adult she’ll look nothing short of perfectly poised and graceful. Even her head, seems to be elongated with a long muzzle and headknobs that might give her an aloof appearance if not for her large eyes that make her face look perfectly sweet rather than merely elegant.
Her colouration might detract somewhat from her sleek and elegant appearance, or it might not, it’s entirely a matter of opinion. Her base colour is a dark forest green, from which long and twisting lines of brown green begin to emanate from her belly, branching into smaller and thinner lines as they rise toward her spine. Spilling down her back in a gentle rain come flecks of silvery green that seem to clump together in bunches by her brown markings. It’s almost as if some amateur painter used this firelizard as a canvas for painting a tree in springtime. The only part of this green that doesn’t conform to her painted pattern is her wing membranes, which are solid silver green and translucent enough that one can see the fine traceries of her major blood vessels when the light shines through them.
Personality;
Undoubtedly one of the sweetest firelizards around, this female is unfailingly polite and attentive to everyone who enters her presence, most particularly everyone male. Females are her confidants, her friends, her family, but males? They are her overriding passion. Any female will be abandoned for a male companion of any sort to talk to, wait on, and flirt with. Oh yes this little green loves to flirt but she’s much slyer than many of her colour, never being overt when a subtle curve to her neck or a seemingly accidental brush of her tail will do the job for her.
Her bonded of course is valued above any other companion, male or female, but the more the merrier, right? The Delight green will always be making an effort to get her bonded out to see the people she deems fit companions, normally the generous, the kind, and the quiet, although she will pick out others if she thinks they can be ‘redeemed’ from their behaviour. If her bonded is shy then she will certainly make all efforts, from simply asking to luring them along with a poor hurt little ‘lizard pretence, to get the ‘right’ people to come to her bonded instead. In particular though she’ll always be on the look out for a handsome male for her bonded, no matter what preference they might have, and will rampantly encourage her bonded to admire such human males as are nearby, and, perhaps more embarrassingly, encourage them to do the same to her bonded.

5 (August 3017)
Blue #0162E5 #09EBFF
Physical Appearance;
This blue is on the large end of the size chart but he’s on the thin side, and no wonder because he never stays still. To see him motionless is a rarity indeed. In the rare moments when he is still it’s possible to see the shape of his bones beneath his hide, no amout of feeding will make him put on weight either, he’s just too active. Thankfully he manages to avoid looking as sickly as his dam.
Part of his healthy look is his bright hide. It’s eyewatering, either of his two shades would be bright enough on its own but the strong mid blue colour that’s his major shade is slashed up the left side by a jagged line of pure summer sky blue that make him stand out a mile, this marking runs from the left shoulder, under the wing, and terminates on his flank. The only other marking he sports is a simple mask, like the one sported by terran racoons, over his eyes.
Personality;
PANIC! It doesn’t matter what the situation is, that’s the appropriate reaction in this firelizard’s opinion. He lives and thrives on the catastrophe curve and if there’s nothing to panic about don’t worry; he’ll soon find something. If there’s nothing happening to him he can make an insurmountable problem out of he’ll make one on someone else’s behalf.
His habit of panic in any situation is an outgrowth of his fanatical perfectionism. Everything in this blue’s life must be just so, and if it’s not prepare for histrionics until it is. In fact, just prepare anyway, because his idea of what’s perfect changes from day to day. Mostly it’s suspected so he’s got some molehills to make mountains out of, either that or he’s just very absent minded with most of his effort being focused on finding disasters to fret over.
Don’t expect to make his day by understanding him either. You can’t possibly understand him! No one can! It’s just tragic and heart rending, and totally drowning in nauseating self pity! Yes he loves to mourn over his disaster ridden catastrophe of a life, and he doesn’t appreciate people interrupting, or trying to cheer him up. The only person he’ll allow to (slightly mind you) understand him without objection is his bonded. Despite all the outward appearnces he does adore his bonded, even when they’ve cause strife and calamity. It’s their disastrous life, sometimes, not just his.
