Khiraeth's anger stuttered to a brief stop at Arhenaiyth's confusion before reigniting into an almost painful blaze. The violet of her eyes began to give way to red. The mounting anger fizzeled out pretty quickly when her brothers did collide however and apparently came out a little worse for wear. In pain but apparently still quite capable of flying, if Arhenaiyth's aerial charge for her was any indication. Her concern for her impatient brother faded rapidly as she rather calmly kept track of his charge as the others warned her of it. When she was absolutely certain he was comitted to the movement, Khiraeth rolled to one side and dropped a few feet before gathering all her speed into putting distance between herself and her foolish brother.
Arhenaiyth, The green broadcasted rather sharply, I am friends with these 'ancient lumps of dragonflesh' as much as I am with our siblings. I choose my friends how I like. If you- She paused briefly in her speech before outright hissing. Yours shall not touch Nana. Leave now. You are no longer welcome here! She hadn't intended to be quite that harsh and it hurt her to be so mean to a friend, a brother, but no one hurt Hers. Khiraeth was not unaware of what the end of her flight would be. She'd turned it into a big game - or had tried to. Arhenaiyth's interference had made that difficult - but she felt the lust all the same.
Speaking of which, Khiraeth's young wings were aching fiercely and her wayward brother had been dealt with in her opinion. If he tried to take her - more importantly, if His tried to take Qaena - she would deal with it then. The green set a gruelling upwards pace, shooting as fast as she could almsot straight up. She was fully aware that in doing so her wings would give out and she'd finally have to pick someone. It was best that way, she knew, because she herself could see no faults in Ophiuchusth, Kaaoloth, or Romeoth. They were all fabulous males and fantastic friends. Betcha I can get higher faster! She called to her males, brushing Kaaoloth's mind in clear amusement. Advantages, or no!
Khir was, frankly, highly amused at her boys. Such sillies, not wanting to play-dance with her! Under that amusement was a faint confusion as to why Arry would refuse to dance after specifically asking for it, as well as disappointment that Rommy didn't seem keen on the idea either. Ah well, she could have her fun with Phi while Kaao provided some music instead of dancing. Then it all changed. Suddenly Arry was grabbing her when she did not want him to. Khir tried to resist his pushes and pulls and grabs but she didn't want to accidentally hurt him and she was a fairly weak girl in the first place.
She squirmed in his grasp, feeling trapped against his chest. Then Arry was leaning down to whisper words into her ear and kiss her neck. Qaena shuddered and finally felt fear, her own fear. This man was so much larger and stronger than herself and she could do nothing. Her gaze flicked about the room, gaze briefly settling on each of the other males as they stepped up to help her. She may have been trapped against T'ri in that moment but she trusted the other three. The flightlust settled back into her mind nicely and Khir softly added, "Please let me go. You're not fun to dance with, not like this."

Well well. Arhenaiyth had been all but leaving already - when he missed he'd peeled away, spiraling towards the ground as violet leaked from his eyes, considering exactly which sarcastic parting shot to use. When she sent him away, though, he raised the eyebrow of his unmarked eye, turning his descent into a dive - the kind of dive to build momentum for a climb. You still seem to be laboring under the impression that I care what you - any of you - think,[/i] he commented, his tone completely flat. There was no anger there; he wasn't snapping or being nasty or hissing or snarking, just stating fact. Obviously the flight has confused you. You don't pick who gets to be here, and if it's a game, I'm trying to win. They're just sitting around.[/i] If Khiraeth thought Arhenaiyth was going to leave now she was sorely mistaken. She needed his protection even more, more than he'd initially realized. She was going to get it whether she wanted it or not, and if she was mad at him tomorrow, who cared? Certainly not Arhenaiyth.
He would have been content had she chosen Ophiuchusth (he'd pulsed wordless acceptance of his brother's apology to the other Blue - Arheniayth had never been especially good at accepting that sort of thing with words), but now he was worried even about that... mainly because he didn't think she would. Somehow, the brown and the bronze had bewitched her, and now she'd pick one of them just to spite him. It's what Arhenaiyth would do, after all. It was so obvious that they were inferior - slow, big, old, ugly, stupid, not to mention that they didn't seem to want her at all - that the Blue simply couldn't leave it up to chance. Could not allow his sister to pick a big ugly brute, 'friend' or otherwise.
His wings were tired, though, and he'd been expecting to be done after the last rush. Sure, he still had speed over a brown and a bronze, but only if he wanted to fall out of the sky at the top of the rise. That kind of defeated the purpose. So, Arhenaiyth took an easier, circling route that ate altitude with minimum effort, still leaving him below most of the pack. As he rose, though, he reached out privately to Ophiuchusth, giving his brother's mind a momentary caress and doing his best to keep his usually dry tone under wraps. Ophiuchusth. Don't you see? She can't choose, we have to choose for her. She's obviously confused and upset, and she's taking it out on me. That's alright, she won't pick me, but we can't let the brown or the bronze take her, they can't be trusted. If you can't make her pick you, you must try to take her. Can you do that for me?[/i] If the blue sounded rather bored... well, he always sounded rather bored. And if Ophiuchusth happened to bungle the catch, Arhenaiyth was certain to be as close to Khiraeth as possible.
Below, T'ri let Qaena go as soon as she asked for it - he'd never been holding her so tight she couldn't break free if she'd really tried, which she hadn't. Sure, she'd wriggled and squirmed, but he honestly wasn't trying to force her. At least it his own mind. "Then next time, don't write me off from the beginning. It makes it really hard to care what you - any of you - think." The other chasers didn't get so much as a batted eyelash, although T'ri's eyes did slide to N'rik as Arhenaiyth addressed Ophiuchusth. They could whine all they wanted, no skin off his back. Turning his back on the flight, T'ri adjusted his hat, then flicked one hand up in the air in a dismissive goodbye as he strolled out of the room. Arhenaiyth might feel protective of Khiraeth, but he had that problem under control. Qaena meant next to nothing to T'ri, and someone had to make it clear how little they both cared.

When Khiraeth wheeled away from her brother’s charge, Romeoth was relieved. He was even more relieved when she told the blue to leave. Though, the bronze did admit that he didn’t know Arhenaiyth all that well, but he was sure that the beast would take his leave. While force catching was an opinion that varied from dragon to dragon, most dragons, when told to leave a flight, had the respect to actually oblige. Though, that happened less in the Wastelander dragons than the Selenitans. Still, he could honestly say he was surprised when the arrogant young blue didn’t leave. Red edged into Rom’s eyes and he growled softly to himself as he eyed the annoying weryling.
There was nothing he could do about the blue though. Not now. Not here. For when Khir suddenly threw herself straight up in the air, Romeoth saw his duty plain and clear. Lust rushed through him once more and the violet edged out the anger in his eyes. Snapping his massive wings once, he rose in the air, going straight up. He wasn’t as fast in the air as the blues or even the brown, do Khir quickly put space between them. What he had though, was stamina. He wasn’t even starting to tire yet, and if he could outlast the rest of these dragons, then he might just have a chance at this game. I’m coming, lovely Khir!
He may not be fast, but he was big and he was determined, and Faranth did he want Khiraeth. Didn’t that count for anything?
In the flightroom, as soon as T’ri let go of Qaena, K’ian took a step back. He hadn’t really wanted to make the boy let of her. K’ian’s eyes didn’t leave T’ri, until the boy left the room. Visibly relieved, the man’s gaze shifted to Qaena…no, Khiraeth as Romeoth’s lust grew, and he let that lust funnel into him. “ I’m coming, lovely Khir! Fly high and fly strong. I’ll be right behind you.”

Kaaoloth circled above watching the flight play out beneath him with clear interest. There. Good green. She flew well for a young one. Certainly well enough to outmaneuver her brother. The older male stayed silent as Khiraeth dealt with Arhenaiyth. His eyes watching the young blue’s progress as he purposely ignored her dismissal and continued on with the chase anyway. Hmm. Quite the bull headed one, as well as cocky and quite rude. He would be lucky if he didn’t meet with misfortune somewhere down the line. Not all greens were as sweet as Khiraeth and not all male competitors would put up with things either. Accident waiting to happen in all likelihood. Not that the brown really had much time to worry about such things. The young maiden was already surging into her final climb and quite quickly too. She would need strong wings to hold her aloft. With any luck he’d be providing that support.
Twisting Kaaoloth brushed her mind with playful amusement and waited until the young green blitzed past him before moving. He angled his flight upwards again as she passed and headed into the higher altitudes. The older male still had a good lead on most of the pack and he wanted to be as fair as possible considering he could just grab her now if he wanted. Putting as much speed and power into his wing beats as possible the large brown winged up after her purple whirling eyes trained on her every movement.

Sel’n watched as T’ri released the girl and then mouthed off before proceeding to stroll out as if nothing had taken place. Well then. That was almost anticlimactic. Not that the brownrider wished for any type of altercation. No this worked out far better. Glancing at his remaining competition the Weyrlingmaster moved just a touch closer to the girl and waited for her choice with a light smile. There was little left to do besides that anyway with the other two so lost to their respective dragons.

Ophiuchusth was relieved that Khiraeth had avoided capture. She was so graceful and clever. He was sorry to Arhenaiyth go. He was his brother after all, and he wasn't all bad in the end. At least he had accepted the apology in the end. Ophiuchusth focused on Khiraeth's lovely green form, rising ever higher. He was getting tired, but he wanted to keep going. His big wings were could for catching air and soaring, but his endurance left something to be desired. Still, he soared higher and higher, eager for the end of the game.
Then Arhenaiyth words entered his mind and he faltered slightly. Easily impressionable as he was, he quickly grew confused. The other two couldn't be trusted? But they seemed so nice and fair. Yet, his brother wouldn't lie would he? And what about Khiraeth? Wasn't it supposed to be her choice. I...um... Ophiuchusth hesitated. He did want to catch Khiraeth, but did he want her that badly? Thank you, Arry. he answered finally and privately. I will consider it. Shaking away the hesitation, he surge forward with his final energy. Khiraeth wouldn't make a wrong choice, he was sure. Even if she did pick one of the other two.
N'rik couldn't help sticking out his tongue at T'ri as he left, some of his own personality leaking in over Ophiuchusth's. Still, the game was not yet over and Qaena still had two other strong males to choose from. He bounced closer to the lovely female, beaming happily at her. The game was nearly over, who would win? "Khi alright? Maybe we can dance again?" he asked hopefully.

Khiraeth ignored Arhenaiyth. So he wouldn't be leaving. She still wouldn't allow him to win. She wasn't so contrary to choose Romeoth or Kaaoloth based on them being what Arhenaiyth didn't want for her, though. That choice would require a bit more logical thought than that. Actually, probably a lot of thought, since she still saw no reason to reject any of the remaining three choices. The green considered the burn in her wings and her laboured breathing briefly. She really didn't have the luxury of time to choose. Her ascent slowed dramatically as she chose to let her chasers catch up, wary of Arhenaiyth.
Khir stumbled slightly out of T'ri's grasp and blinked owlishly in confusion at his words. She didn't say anything directly to him as he walked out of the room. A small part of her was thinking good riddance to him but another part was so very confused and a tiny bit hurt. To her other boys she muttered softly, "But he wrote me off first? Kind of hard to care when lint is more important." She shook it off and smiled at the remaining ones. "I'm alright, no more dancing though," she answered Phi. "Wish I could keep all of you. You're all so lovely and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, mkay?"
Khiraeth put some serious effort into picking a male, once and for all. She certainly would have liked to have them all (not out of selfishness but because they all deserved it) but she knew that was impossible. Besides, waking up with more than one other person in the bed would probably really upset Hers. Romeoth was still going steady and didn't have any ties demanding his presence other than him being her friend. Hers was also fond of His even if she was still a bit uncomfortable with him. Kaaoloth also seemed to have plenty of energy left and had flown cleverly. She got the sense that he was largely there out of duty to her as her teacher but that was okay. Nana was also fairly comfortable with His. Ophiuchusth was injured but still flying for her. He'd even braved the bright sunlight for her and she appreciated that. His was the closest in age to Hers and it would likely be the first for both...
So many options to consider! Khiraeth thought she might finally have her choice though. She began to move to position herself better when the ache in her wings suddenly increased a lot and she drifted off course. It meant she rapidly found herself coiled around a different male but she didn't particularly mind. He was strong enough to support her, to give her wings a rest, and he was a friend. That was all that mattered and she crooned for him, to him. For once the green thought words wouldn't be necessary.
Khir reeled slightly at the too-sudden onslaught of lust pouring through the bond. Khiraeth had been dampening it somewhat before with her own playful energy. Now all her boys were men and almost painfully attractive to her. A little whine left her throat and she stumbled right into Rommy. She grabbed his shirt with one hand and tried to make sense of everything. Then Khiraeth was picking and Khir took a hesitant step. Where, who? Her fist clenched a little tighter around the fabric of Rommy's shirt as Khiraeth faltered. Then she knew and she spun around to properly face the bronze, her bronze. "Fly high and strong," she echoed his earlier words quietly, because now he was holding her up just as Romeoth was holding up Khiraeth.

All thoughts left his head as he flew up, up and higher, the wind soaring past his wings. What did it matter that he wasn’t the fastest? Any green he flew with should know that he wasn’t the fastest dragon out there. Large and muscular and bulky, he was built for power and stamina, both of which he had in droves. Then Kiraeth slowed, and Romeoth found himself approaching her rapidly, unfortunately, not as rapidly as either of the other dragons chasing her. Flaring his wings, he banked wide, tail thrashing as he slowed to a stop. And watched her evaluating her males.
Then she moved, his heartbeat picked up for a second and she was moving..away from him? Disappointment settled in his breast heavily. He had wanted her, so very much…but he wasn’t about to force her. He wasn’t that kind of male. All of this flashed through his head in a moment, the moment that Khiraeth’s wings finally gave out, and she was veering away. Rom was surprised when her body fell into his and almost instinctively, he wrapped his wings lovingly around her. Had she really chose him, or was it an accident. Regardless, her croon towards him was all the permission he needed. Tail twined around her’s and he nuzzled her neck lightly, purring affectionately. Supporting her, he let the air currents carry them away, falling on his back, intertwined with his green, if only for the night.
Once T’ri left, the flight was free to continue. K’ian watched Khir through half lidded eyes, as she contemplated her choices. A small sound, not unlike the sounds that regular made, left her throat and she stumbled into him. Putting his hands to her waist, he lifted the girl so she wouldn’t fall, supporting her much like Romeoth was. His breath came out slowly as she tightened her grip on his shirt. She seemed to be having a hard time choosing and K’ian was tempted to step away to make the choice easier on the girl. That was when she spun, eyes meeting him and words leaving her mouth like the rush of lust that rocked him. Lowering his hands to her legs, he grinned and lifted her up, pulling her against him and capturing her mouth with his. Purring like his dragon, K’ian carried the girl to the bed, falling with her onto it. This was how it was supposed to be, he decided, lifting himself up to gaze into her eyes.
And at that moment, all the others were forgotten.
