You think that is necessary? "We're about to have guests, aren't we?" the greenrider responded cheerfully. He was freshly bathed, his hair still a touch damp and his skin just a touch ruddier from the heat of the water. X'rx finished arranging the (yes, fresh) cookies on the plate along with klah and milk which he left in a tin of ice to keep it chilled. Mugs, glasses and other plates had all been borrowed from the kitchen and were laid out for people to help themselves. One would have thought he was entertaining friends just like he might any other day. One might have thought that if Eveyth's brilliant glow wasn't clearly visible from where the greenrider fussed, her shockingly violet eyes explaining her impatience when she queried, And are you just about finished, X'rxMine? Her tail lashed with pent-up energy.
"Just one moment." X'rxMine... "Only a little longer. With the way some of those males have been staring at us they'll be right on your tail...and here within moments." He sounded nothing if not intensely pleased at that notion. After satisfying himself that the napkins were arranged in a perfectly symmetrical fan, neatly folded, he moved to his door and tugged it open, propping it ajar with a stool. The greenrider ran a hand through his hair - he remembered what Iskierka had said about acorns and feathers getting in the way and the shortcropped hair with it's feminine sweep of longer bangs on the one side that ended at the line of his jaw were all devoid of decoration. Merely dark brown and gently curling where it was long enough to curl. So maybe he wasn't all that manly, but 'manly' these days apparently meant wearing kohl. He was fine with not being 'manly.' "All right, Eve. Now's good," he stated, flashing a smile back at his frustrated green.
If ever anyone had described another green exploding from her ledge, that was before they'd seen Eveyth at this very moment. She'd spent the last half candlemark reining herself in from the Flight she needed to accomodate the eccentricities of Hers'. Eveyth rose so fast through the tunnels it was dizzying, scraping her razorsharp talons up the inside wall of the tunnel she took to the outside the entire way and sending sparks jumping in her wake. Just as she was about to clear the lip of the tunnel she bugled loudly, sending the challenging, impatient cry reverberating back down the tunnel and all around the vast cave with it's almost innumerable dragonledges. Leaves exploded in a sea of colors in every direction as she crashed through the canopy and spun with wings tucked, her wings flaring at the last moment before she would have started plummeting back to earth. Eveyth was in no mood to call her males verbally to the chase; if they couldn't figure it out from the glowing streak of light that had shot past and that bugel, they weren't worth her time.
The greenrider had already removed the soft cotton robe he'd been wearing, striding in his nude 'glory' to lounge on a pile of pillows scattered artfully over his bed and the soft furs he always slept in. He sprawled out there on top of them and draped a sheet over his form in pure teasing fashion, the sheet coiling over him and showing a calf here, part of a thigh and hip, the upper portion of his pelvis and part of his abdomen, the fabric ending over one half of his chest and wrapped in a loose coil about his arm. Clearly posing for those who were already taking far too long in arriving. They should have been here, admiring him yesterday. A slightly petulant pout touched his lips as the man waited impatiently.

Ioth was probably most in tune with two greens' flight patterns. Onyth was the first and she'd turned him away undoubtedly more times than Ioth himself remembered. The second was Eveyth. Eveyth his former student and favourite of that class. Not that he'd ever admit to having a favourite but the fact remained that he did. It was that day that the blue was certain the green would be Rising. And he would chase, without even having had to ask permission from His to do so. Iskierka knew better than to try and restrict him from a flight he desired so much.
The only remaining problem was...where was Eveyth? The blue shifted on his ledge uncomfortably as he tried to rationalize her continued absence. Surely he couldn't have been wrong? That she would fly another day? Then there was a bugle that was as clear a message as any. He had not been wrong after all. The blue launched off of his weyrledge and with all the considerable agility he posessed manouevered his way to the outside of the weyr, leaves scattering away from him as he exploded out of the canopy.
The blue crooned to Eveyth and started with the usual, May I join you today, Eveyth? To his knowledge, he was still the only male in the weyr that actually asked permission to chase. He had yet to be turned away, so he figured the greens didn't mind it so much that he was polite. His generally wasn't polite so at least he ought to be, right? It was also only polite not to keep a green waiting too long. Where were the other males?
Iskierka shook her head when Ioth left his ledge. Silly blue. Still, the bluerider left her weyr with a stretch and tried to remember why X'rx's weyr was. She sighed when she realized she'd probably get it wrong if she relied solely on her memory to find it so she let in a little bit of Ioth's lust to guide her towards Eveyth's earthbound counterpart. When she got there she snorted softly. Of course his door was open. The bluerider strode right in but paused when she saw the spread. She'd smelled the cookies down the hall, of course, but she hadn't anticipated them being X'rx's doing.
She ignored the greenrider on the bed long enough to claim a cookie for herself before sitting on the corner of the bed non-chalantly. "Only you," Iskierka finally commented, gaze shifting to the greenrider. She doubted he'd understand her real meaning but it didn't really matter. She was there (the only one there?) and that was what mattered at the moment. Right?

Mavenath gave a wide yawn and lazily gazed over the weyrbowl. Since catching Minth the large male had been in a much better mood. Which was no surprise to Cr’oph. It had been awhile since he males last catch so his good mood was justified. His bronze didn’t have a high sex drive. A benefit of being a bronze. Catches were so few and far between for the large males that they tended not to be a randy as blues. Yes the coppery colored bronze was quite satisfied for the time being. So much so that he barely batted an eye when Eveyth shot off her ledge. Lazily he followed her progress before remarking. My sister rises. Feyrianth? What did I tell you about trying to go up after Feyrianth? I know you like her but we’ve been over this over and over again. You’ll give her fits which… No not my beautiful butterfly. The blazing one. Eveyth. Ah X’rx’s green? You really want to go? You just caught Minth. The dragon rumbled. Yes. caught her. She was mine and she will remain so. So I see. My question is why Eveyth now? Because. In being my sister she should be gifted with my presence at the very least. Yeah whatever. You go if you want.
Getting to his feet the large male stretched as Eveyth made her way up the tunnel. You do not desire hers? The mental words were teasing and earned Maveanth a 'look'. "Yeah sleeping with X’rx is not on my things to ever do list? I have yet to end up sleeping with a male and no way in hell is that happening except under duress." Not when Cr’oph could easily keep his head when Mavenath rose. Jazheera shouldn’t deny him. And on the off chance that she did? Well there were quite a few decent looking drudges that he couldn’t see denying him. Yeah he wasn’t interested in ending tangled with a male when he had options. Not like he was the only person to ever go that route either. He and his bronze were rarely united when it came to flights. Cr’oph didn’t need Mavenath to get a woman and nor did the bronze need his rider for the same reason. Stretching the bronzer rose from his chair and inclined his head to his dragon. Go get her then. Giving his bronze a salute the man made his way to the door and turned to head to Jazheera’s weyr.
Leaping from his ledge Mavenath spread his large wings and winged up and into the tunnel. He broke through the canopy before winging higher and away from those pesky trees. Leveling out he briefly brushed his sister’s mind. Greetings sister. Tilting his head the bronze regarded the green, his placid shaded eyes glazed with a light lavender shade. Figured the blues. There were always a couple.

Interesting.
T'ri lifted his head off his arms, squinting at the blue dragon basking next to him. They'd snuck out through the caravan's entrance to the Weyrbowl this morning - Arhenaiyth just barely fit, and in a month or two he would absolutely be too big - and now that Lessons had begun, T'ri figured he had a good candlemark or so before he had to take Arhenaiyth into the sky again, or whatever. The Blue had his own schedule and far be it for T'ri to tell him what to do. When they got caught, they got caught, and Arhenaiyth was dragged to lessons grumping and scheming; when Sel'n had better things to do than hunt down an errant and problematic Weyrling pair, they generally went free. Today was a free day, so far anyway. Hopefully Roselle would spend all of the lunch hour distracting Sel'n. What's interesting.
A green. I've never paid particular attention to the ones that get shiny before - you know that - but... well. She has been especially pretty lately, even if she isn't one my my sisters. T'ri shot his dragon a look, and Arhenaiyth quickly added, You know, for someone who might as well fly straight in to the wall of her weyr. It'd probably improve her face. Ah yes, there was the darkly sarcastic Henny that T'ri knew, even if the Blue had self-consciously added it at the end. Flipping over to lay on his back, T'ri stuffed his shirt under his head to make a pillow, taking a moment to glance down his chest towards his red shorts as Arhenaiyth started shifting, eventually getting to his feet. A call rang out and a glowing Green crashed into the canopy up and to their left, and T'ri glanced from his clearly agitated Blue back to his lap anndddd... yep.
Making a quick adjustment to the fit of his shorts, T'ri hopped up, then ducked as his turquoise dragon growled in annoyance and lumbered into the air. Yep, T'ri chortled, I totes suspected. Now you'll understand why I hang around Tserieth's all the time. Deck. Good luck, Henny, bring home the lady would you.
Arhenaiyth, the Blue called back, the weyrling dragon's mindvoice already tight with anticipation. Generally Arhenaiyth was cool and dry, and that wasn't totally gone, but it was his first flight. There was an overwhelming sense of need if nothing else. He needed Eveyth, more than he'd ever needed anything ever. Of course, that didn't exactly make him like her; the Blue hated being told what to do, and he generally disapproved of the Green's apparent power over him. Time to catch. If other dragons were around, Arhenaiyth hardly noticed, his arrogance in full swing (none of them mattered, obvi). Laboring up through the leaves to meet Eveyth on her own level, Arhenaiyth kept silent mentally and verbally, his entire will bent on catching. No fancy tricks for him. Too bad he was still quite a few lengths away, and there was already a blue and a bronze in his path.
Barefoot, bare-chested, and near bare-legged (the shorts were unquestionably shorter than current fashion dictated), the Weyrling broke into a run, already mostly lost to flightlust. He'd had sex before, plenty of times, but this was something else. Pounding down the halls in search of the Green, T'ri wrinkled his nose at the smell of cookies, then burst into the room, striking a sort of 'here I am!' pose with hands on hips. One eyebrow went up at X'rx's maleness and his pose, but that was just instinctive skepticism. Honestly, he hardly saw anything beyond a green glow fuzzing his vision. Yes. This would be interesting.

L'am knew this was coming. Ever since the razorclaw hatching, and Jeth's enigmatic comment about X'rx's green, L'am knew he would chase. His dragon was nothing if not slightly predictable. At least, to his rider. The man knew his dragon well enough to know when he planned to chase a green, not that he chased all that often anyway. That's probably what made it so easy for L'am to tell that Jeth was interested in possibly chasing Eveyth. He just didn't talk about females very often. This one must be interesting.
The one thing was, the man didn't know exactly when the green was going to rise. From X'rx's behavior at the hatching, the man knew it had to be soon, but that word didn't really mean anything. Eve could have risen at any time.
L'am was sitting in his weyr when it happened, luckily, fully dressed. Not that it would have mattered to Jeth, who suddenly rose from his slumber. That in and of itself should have been enough to alert L'am that someone was rising. It was hard enough for him to get Jeth up, but some horny green could do it in a couple of seconds. Sighing lightly, the man rose to his feet, stretching out his long arms. " Took her long enough, didn't it." No. Jeth rumbled, eyes flickering purple as he followed an invisible spot on the ceiling. Eveyth is perfect. Whenever she decides to rise is the perfect time. L'am sighed heavily, falling back into his chair, even though he knew he shouldn't get too comfortable. Already he could feel the lust tugging at him. He pushed it back, looking back to Jeth.
The dragon didn't need any further encouragement. He burst from his ledge in a flurry of wings, Eve's bellow tingling pleasantly through his body and down his toes. His entire body shivered with lust and anticipation as he sped forward, through the tunnels. Thrusting his wings hard, he soared up through the canopy, bursting into the open air. Pivoting on the wing, Jeth joined the chase. He was briefly surprised that there was a bronze here, but Eveyth was a fine female. Why wouldn't she catch the interest of a bronze. There were also two blues, one who seemed a little young. Acknowledging them briefly, his attention would soon shift back to the green, a glowing beacon of perfection. Eveyth. Jeth rumbled lightly, his voice a near purr. You are gorgeous this evening. He would say as he winged along behind her.
Jeth didn't think it was necessary to make quite the entrance that the weyrling did. He walked along to X'rx's weyr, not questioning the invisible thread that led him exactly to the spot. Said weyrling was standing in the door when L'am got there, and he would stand, waiting until T'ri got out of the way. When he did, the shaggy haired bluerider would slide into the room, the scent of baked goods leading the way. Eyes fell on X'rx's form, and Jeth's lust throbbed inside him. God X'rx was gorgeous laid out there in front of him. He was silent though, appraising eyes roaming the greenrider's body.
Fun.

It never ceased to amaze Darya that there was enough room under the trees around the Weyr that she still thought of as Burimyu for grown dragons to fly, she had to admit she found it easier to direct Azrath to return here than the covered weyrbowl though. No matter how large the space was, and no matter how much more suitable, there was something in Darya that rebelled at the thought of betweening to an indoor location when you didn’t really have to. Besides that flight beneath these ancient giants had a kind of peaceful, dreamlike quality to it. and you don’t want to admit you’re back and have to deal with some boring paperwork, or listen to someone’s complaint. Don’t forget that Darya. The bluerider validated her own thoughts with a wry smile, the business of the council was often tedious now that there wasn’t a permanent emergency on.
Darya was so absorbed in her own thoughts that she ignored the bugle of a dragon exiting the Weyr, not that she failed to notice the sound, or the dragons that raced down the immense tunnel, it was just that she failed to put any significance on the event, which would turn out to be a mistake. There was a subtle shift of muscle under her rump as Azrath tensed up. What are you doing Azrath? The pale woman asked suspiciously as the blue turned away from the Weyr. She heard and felt the snort of amusement as her dragon twisted and bucked her off.
Ridding myself of you, Darya, so that I can chase after a more pleasant female. the answer came as the carpet of mouldering leaves rushed up to meet her. Darya thought a few incoherent curses after her dragon, and had the presence of mind to roll as she came into contact with the ground. Well, at least Azrath had only dropped her a few feet, she considered from her prone position among the debris of previous turns. After a few moments the bluerider got to her feet and stretched, feeling stiffness that would probably be an interesting coloured bruise over her left shoulder. Wonderful, and it was a long walk up to the weyrs.
Azrath left his rider falling and made a sharp turn to follow the path of the intoxicating green that had so dramatically caught his attention. He couldn’t remember why exactly he desired this particular green so much but dismissed that as unimportant. What reason was there not to desire Eveyth? That would be a far better question. Azrath brushed his awareness wordlessly against Eveyth’s, an announcement of his presence, a statement of his intentions, and a thousand compliments all rolled into one light mental touch.

It was a testament to just how long she'd held back that Eveyth banked toward Ioth with a challenging flash of teeth (including those long sabers that on any other dragon would be simple incisors), even though the gesture was mostly playful. Mostly. She was greatly fond of Ioth most any day, but today her need superceded that. My silly IothTeacher. Have you not already joined me? She winged past him and rolled away from the blue. I highly doubt you'd leave if I just said no.
Back in his weyr, X'rx really didn't have to wait all that long, even though it felt to him like he'd been half-eyeing (he would not be caught staring at it longingly) the door for candlemarks. Ah, yessss. The greenrider purred in his throat to the woman who strode in. She looked positively yummy. Perhaps even more delicious than the cookie. Stretching out a leg to trace bare toes lightly over her thigh, he wrinkled his nose and propped himself up on one elbow, cocking his head to the side slightly in a clearly questioning fashion. "Only me?"
Other greens lost themselves to lust. Eveyth married hers. She used it as weapon, as tool, and didn't let it dominate her in such a fashion as to fly too haphazardly too quickly, or to allow herself to be stolen by a dragon who didn't deserve her as much as another. Brother, the green returned to the huge bronze. Eveyth rolled, talons flashing up toward the male who was actually one of her favorite siblings, if only because he always took her up on her challenges. She had a competitive streak a mile wide. If you think you can steal me as easily as you did Minth, you will be sorely disappointed, she teased him with a low rumble of amusement. But you are more than welcome to try.
The suitors were coming more swiftly now. The next to approach was a youngling that looked rather awkward in his flight. Oh, how cute! Was she his first? Crooning at that thought, she avoided his rather mindlessly direct charge by slipping around Ioth. Cool it down a little, youngling. If you play your hand now and waste all your energy I won't get to play with you until the end. That would be a shame. What are you called?
X'rx blinked up at the similar charge that ended with a skinny child in his weyr, wrinkling his nose at the rather...unusual...fashion statement. "Now that's just awkward for someone whose dragon might rise at any time, don't you think?" the man commented smoothly, amusement dancing in his dark eyes. Talk about unflattering. Not to mention rather too little material in the event of a bit of excitement. "Seriously." He wrinkled his nose. "Either lose them or find some pants. Those things are insulting my eyes." The greenrider flicked his fingers at T'ri in a half-shooing gesture.
Jeth. Oh, but she was pleased about this one. Ioth and Mavenath were staples in her Flights, and the nameless blue youngling was not old enough to have chased before as like as not, but this male was a recent acquisition. It seemed that the silly antics of Hers might have been somewhat helpful in their finding a new suitor for their amusement, after all. Of course I am. I am in my full Glow, she responded to him purringly, dropping suddenly and making a tight turn that took her right beneath Jeth, tips of wingtips trailing on his underbelly. Like a shark she wound through her males. You are in excellent form as well, my lusty Jeth.
L'am's entrance was greeted with similar pleasure. The greenrider's eyes traced over the man's form, a playful, wicked little smirk touching his lips. "You'll want a cookie, I think," X'rx commented, running a hand through his slightly longer bangs and pausing at the apex of the stretch to show off his lithe, healthy musculature. He might not be much stronger or bulkier than a woman in build, but his body was sleekly defined and he knew it. "A reward for a good blue." The man's eyes flashed with wicked humor.
Almost as if the final arrival had been what she'd waiting for all along, Eveyth suddenly dipped into a dive at his mental touch, spinning beneath him as she dipped from his left to his right and redirected the burst of leaves Azrath had sent up with wingstrokes of her own. I'm so glad you could make it, my Azrath, the green crooned to the male. All three of these, her regular chasers, had been missing for far too long from her Flights.
And suddenly she was off. The winding and playful toying was done (at least for the moment) the green simply dipping back into the tree line like a shark's fin slipping back beneath the surface of the water. Wending through a few tree trunks, she charted a course so variegated and daring that only a fool would stick to her tail, and only luck would allow the wiser males who remained above the canopy to guess where she might emerge.
Frowning slightly, X'rx pushed himself upright, eyes returning to the doorway. "Tsk." His gaze returned to the three in the room with him appraisingly. "It seems that we're missing a couple members of our party. How disappointing." Then the man flashed a smile at them, crooking a finger to T'ri and L'am in a clear indication that they should approach him on the bed. His other hand had drifted to replace on his foot on Iskierka's thigh, the touch almost casual. "We'll just have to start without them, no?"

Ioth was relatively unphased by Eveyth's challenge. A slight shading of red into his eyes was the only hint that he even took it seriously for a moment. So I have, Eveyth, he rumbled back in amusement. With all seriousness the blue added, I would if you meant it. Ioth usually had the benefit of His' clarity of mind during flights that made him think equally of the after as the during. He really would prefer not to alienate his green friends. Not to say he wouldn't fight damn hard to be allowed to chase if one did say no, but ultimately he'd still respect them.
Iskierka snatched the foot touching her thigh and gave it a faint, almost playful tug before letting it go again. "Only you would bother to bake cookies for a bunch of lusty idiots," she clarified, half curious that he seemed to posesses some of his wits still. Or was that usual for the greenrider? She couldn't remember. Ioth hadn't chased Eveyth for over a turn and it didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. Even if the greenrider was relatively sane, it didn't mean the males' mindmates would be.
Speaking of which...Cr'oph was absent but Mavenath was not. Typical bronzerider, not that Iskierka really blamed him. Others joined a little later and she smirked wickedly at X'rx's dismissal of a weyrling's...what were those anyways? The bluerider wasn't even sure. She did know she was still the oldest in the room despite L'am's arrival and perhaps that explained her lack of knowledge over any potential new fashion trends. Who knew? X'rx's words and his hand on her thigh made the bluerider ask, "What would you say if we actually did say 'no?'"
Ioth greeted Mavenath pleasantly enough considering it was a flight and he knew the bronze's modus operandi. He used a very literal sense of catching a female. Still, he was preferable to the next one who showed up and had Eveyth moving in behind himself. Mavenath was only tolerable because the blue had taught him, knew (at least a little) the bronze. Arhenaiyth was a different story. A barely mature male thinking he could take Eveyth? Yeah, not happening. The blue barely acknowledged the two new blues to him, only briefly brushing Azrath's mind before Eveyth was commanding full attention again.
Ioth shot off after the green, fearlessly dipping into the trees where he could - where fearless did not equal foolish. He would dive into the trees, dodging a couple trunks, before rising back into open air when he couldn't immediatley see a safe path. Then he would rinse and repeat. A skilled flier he may be, but he was a touch too large to mimic Eveyth to a tee. His own style was supposedly charming, anyways? (Or so His had said. He couldn't tell if she had been sarcastic at the time or not...)

Mavenath regarded Eveyth evenly with placid colored eyes as she flashed her talons at him. Really sister? A threat? That was hardly a way to win his affections. Circling overhead he flexed his own talons, a soft rumble starting in his chest. Disappointment indeed. Was all he offered quietly. He was now under no illusions that he was worth anything in her flight. Most greens dismissed him from the outset solely due to size. Perhaps that was why the large male desired to claim them instead. Force them to accept that he was just as good as them if not better. Eveyth had just stuck a nerve. Had she not been a sister Mavenath might have aborted the flight but alas he had enough residual affection to keep him after her for now. Nor was he anything even resembling a quitter. If he got an opportunity to snatch her out of the air he would take it without question despite any misgivings she had about it.
Whirling eyes flicked to the knot of blues he was competing against. Seemed Eveyth would have her preferred chasers. A flicker of annoyance entered his gaze but just as quickly it faded to be replaced with placid green and flicks of purple. Winging up higher as the green proceeded to flirt and wind around her blues Mavenath simply turned in slow circles and watched the smaller dragons play beneath him. Once or twice his wings flicked as he debated involving himself in the group but honestly they were all far more maneuverable the he and it would be suicidal to play with either Azrath or Ioth like that. The bronze had pride yes but he wasn’t stupid. Not by a long shot.
And with that Eveyth was off diving beneath the trees as expected. Greens liked their obstacles. It didn’t give the bronze much to do but wing higher before leveling out well above the rest. Mavenath had no desire to be surprised by her emerging from the trees and into his personal space. So high above he remained, trusting the blues to keep her positioning for him. They were all close enough to the green that they would have, at least, an idea of where she was. He’d stay above and as close to their speed as he was able so as not to be left too far behind. That way he’d be able to make a move if the opportunity arose. For now the male bided his time. Not like he didn’t have plenty of it. Greens and blues were not known for their stamina where as the large bronze could fly all day if it was required of him.

The surge of joy that went through Azrath at gaining Eveyth’s recognition was enough to put a spring in Darya’s step as she headed inside the rediscovered Weyr. Although he knew the green was just toying with him, with them all, at this stage, he still offered her an admiring croon and half rolled to follow the green’s movement from one side of him to the other. Glad to be here Eveyth. Azrath wasn’t much for talk during Flights, and it showed, but he felt Eveyth deserved a reply, if only to let her know that he knew her game.
Abruptly Eveyth was off, and Azrath was after her, not sparing a glance for his rivals. The dark blue dipped back below the canopy in another shower of leaves, not a path for the faint of heart. Azrath plotted his own course through the trees, doubting anything larger than a green could pull off the same course as daring Eveyth. That wasn’t to say that he stuck to a safe path, such a thing was hard to find down here indeed, rather Azrath picked a route that allowed him to show off his agility but didn’t present the chance to fly headlong into a trunk unless he was stupidly inattentive.
Darya fairly bounced up the seemingly endless staircase, letting Azrath’s joyous mood and boundless enthusiasm for the chase blend with her own motives, although her blue’s mood wasn’t enough to stop her from vowing that anyone who interrupted her with council business was going to get fed a knuckle sandwich.
Fortunately for everyone Darya made it up to the weyrs without being accosted by anything more than a few strange looks from passers by, and no one caught her stopping to catch her breath in the corridor. Confidently the bluerider made her way down the hall, letting her dragon’s instinct pick her direction and stopped in the doorway, where there was something of a pile up being caused by a weyrling in the most ridiculously short shorts ever worn. She reached forward with a hand that still wore a leather glove, giving L’am an absent minded sort of nod as she did so, and gave the flight consumed boy a push forward that was meant, in some obscure way, as encouragement. That done the bluerider leaned against the wall, waiting patiently for the doorway to clear, and began stripping off her jacket, gloves, and helmet, reflecting as she did so that this was the kind of thing that happened when you complained about boredom, even to yourself.

Arhenaiyth growled when Eveyth spoke to him, eyes shading towards the red side of purple. Several snappy retorts occurred to him, but he let it be, more focused on re-directing his flight pattern around Ioth than anything else. Instead, he snapped at her retreating tail, missing it by several feet as he curled awkwardly around the older blue. One question, though, he did have an answer to: Arhenaiyth, he replied, in a tight voice that was (perhaps surprisingly, given his earlier growl) half a moan. He was still annoyed, but that certainly didn't mean he desired the green any less. Mavenath might be considering dropping out, but Arhenaiyth was doing exactly the opposite - he was trying to sort out how he could drive her upwards and snatch her now. Up seemed important.
Below, the haze was retreating somewhat, apparently triggered by X'rx's voice. Dragon there, human here. That allowed T'ri to better appraise the object of his lust: Girlish man (that would be a first, when he won), pretty in a sort of androgynous way, just barely older than T'ri himself. Good body, not that T'ri had ever noticed another man's body before. Remaining where he was, T'ri cocked a hip, crossed his arms, and eyed X'rx from under his lashes and a trail of bangs. A half smile curled up the corner of his mouth, making him look distinctly sultry. "So I'm supposed to live my whole life in fear that one day my dragon might chase," he asked, flicking out the fingers of one hand in a dismissive gesture. A hint of steel entered his tone as he added, "And I like my shorts. If you don't, you're invited to remove them."
Of course, that is about when Darya felt the need to push him, ruining the aura of sex a bit. Whirling on the older Bluerider, a flash of absolute fury sped across his face, but it was gone just as quickly, and T'ri turned back to X'rx as he crooked a finger in his direction. It was all the invitation T'ri needed - he was touchy, and so was Arhenaiyth. Ignoring L'am, T'ri sauntered forward a step or two, stopping with the side of one leg pressed against the bed. He reached out with one hand, aiming to trace his fingers softly along X'rx's jawline. Why wait?
As the skies got more crowded, Arhenaiyth was forced to take notice of the other chasers, if only to slide in and around them when necessary. He might be mediocre in the air, but Arhenaiyth was still unquestionably the smallst blue there, still being at least a few feet short of full growth. It gave him a bit of a bump on maneuverability, if nothing else. When Eveyth plunged into the canopy, though, Arhenaiyth knew better. Using the bronze and the other blues to orient himself, he barreled off after the green, watching for rare glimpses of hide. He was doing alright, keeping up and staying somewhat wide of the pack, maroon eyes searching for the tremble of leaves, the errant flights of birds...
And suddenly, he thought he spotted her. Doing his best to position himself above, Arhenaiyth swooped lower, just barely skimming the canopy. Whatever dragon he had inadvertently found, he would be crowding them as soon as they tried to return to open air. And if if was Eveyth, she should expect an attempted catch as soon as she broke cover.

The nearly black dragon didn't really expect a greeting having just come upon the flight, but when Eveyth spoke, and dipped beneath his form, Jeth felt shivers of pleasure shoot through his body, up his spine, out his tail. The male crooned affectionately, following the green's path towards him with his eyes, not letting her out of his sight...which resulted the in the big blue doing a flip in mid air as she flew beneath him for a while before taking off. Jeth righted himself quickly, watching the rest of the green's suitors take off behind her.
It didn't take him long until he was off too, powerful wings propelling him forward effortlessly towards where she disappeared into the trees. He put on the brakes for a moment, assessing the situation. Most of his competitors were hanging around the canopy, waiting for the green to emerge. One was flying through the trees, bobbing up and down like some silly dolphin. He was a smart dragon. He knew he was too large to safely navigate the maze of tree trunks that Eveyth was currently braving. But, a blue was, even though it wasn't advisable. Whatever floated his boat. In Azarath, Jeth saw an opportunity. A green might have been impossible to spot beneath the tree line, even with her glow. The canopy was thick and they were rather smaller than the blues. But a blue, even a small one, wasn't hard for him to see at all, so off Jeth went, following Azarath's path below the trees, skimming the canopy. He left a wave of leaves and dead sticks in his wake as he flew, almost seeming like he had a banner behind him. He followed the other blue, but his gaze was continually set in front of him, readying himself in case his green decided to crash up through the trees. He wasn't much of a force catcher, but he was sure there were ways to encourage her to pick him.
Hm. Well obviously this green was a very desirable man. Otherwise why would there be so many suitors here. When Darya entered, Jeth caught her gaze and returned her nod with one of his own. Too bad she wasn't a green rider. She was a very attractive woman and he was sure Jeth wouldn't mind chasing any dragon of hers'. But he was letting his dragon's lust get him off track. After that, Darya, no matter how attractive, was deemed as unimportant as the rest of Eveyth's suitors. She was the important one, and when the man motioned him and the weyrling over, L'am felt a surge of jealousy rise in his chest.
There was no way he was going to let some slutty teenager show him up.
Strutting right over behind T'ri, L'am wouldn't get on it. He hadn't been invited, yet. Instead, he leaned over, face close to X'rx's. He let a hand move forward to bury in the man's dark hair, his other hand brushing the man's bare arm teasingly with his fingers. " The only reward I need..." He gave a half cocked, mischievous grin. "...is you, my lovely." Then, if allowed, he would move his face inches from the other man's ear, his next words meant only for X'rx. " We could have so much fun." He said softly, breathily.
And he was sure they would have fun.

Not very pleased with him at all. In fact, it could even be said that he'd hurt her feelings, though Eveyth was hardly a green to show that fact to the entire world. Perhaps her claws caught a few tree trunks, but that seemed inevitable given her headlong flight between the trees, and not a result of her irritation...A disappointment, am I? Go, Mavenath. I have never allowed a bronze to humor me, and I won't start with you, brother or no. The words came with a cool detachment that almost concealed her upset. There was a time when the bronze had been her favored sibling, above all the others. Oh well. Things...changed.
While she spoke privately to her brother, the green was not unaware of her blues. Azrath and Ioth's bravery were mixed with just the right amount of wisdom and experience to be truly impressive. Forging their own paths through the trees that presented less danger to them, they still braved the forest of trunks just the same. To be expected from her teachers. The other blues played it safer, and that, too, she could respect, especially since they seemed to be using Azrath and Ioth as clues as to where she was.
With that in mind, the green caught claws in the tree trunk, spinning herself about and launching off to dart between trees right through the center of Azrath and Ioth before plunging down into a tunnel leading back into the weyrbowl. See how well they could follow that! A circuit around the bowl, playing around and through the waterfalls, and she was up through a different tunnel, this time not slowing down at all. Going up, up and up - and avoiding any blues who thought this was their opportunity to get fresh.
Here she coiled neatly in the open air and called to her four blues, Dance with me! I will pick my partner soon. Always a shame that just one of them could be picked, but that was simply how it was.
For X'rx's part, he couldn't help but wrinkle his nose at all the cheekiness going around. The greenrider stuck his tongue out at Iski. "Well, you could always leave I suppose," he shot at her, removing his hand from her leg when T'ri came over and smiling at the touch to his jaw. Smiling rather alluringly, even...until he pantsed the kid abruptly, raising a brow playfully. "They're horrible," he insisted, only to find a hand coiled in his hair.
The greenrider turned his head to meet L'am's eyes, his expression one of curious interest rather than annoyance at being touched. He'd invited them over, hadn't he? X'rx did nothing to suppress the shiver at the man's words right by his ear and even reached over and tugged L'am fully on to the bed with him, nuzzling his shoulder. "I like the sound of that." He also apparently liked the feel of Iskierka's lap, because he crawled over it to gesture to Darya to come over as well, giving her a distinctly fond look. She was his favorite (arguably) outside of Flightlust, after all. Then he didn't bother to move from his position half-leaning against Iski, flicking a quirky little smile at her.

Nope, he'd been wrong. Without waiting to see what dragon he had been following, Arhenaiyth peeled off after Eveyth, already feeling his wings burn. He wasn't holding back even a little, and it showed - while the other chasers were turning and reorienting, Arhenaiyth was making up ground. He was the first of the chasers in to the tunnel, and clearly the first one out as well - the tunnels were wide enough for one dragon to pass another, but it was drastically easier when the dragons were going opposite directions. His current turn of speed had absolutely nothing to do with training or how fast he would normally be able to go; it had everything to do with pure ability, and Arhenaiyth's ability was quite high. Instinct had taken over long ago.
And instinct did not call for play, or dancing. It called for taking. He continued to ignore Eveyth's words, tracking her up the tunnel, attempting another failed grab as she rose into the sky. Yes, up, that was good. Finding a thermal, he let it fill his wings and continued to power towards the sky, not slacking off even a little. As she coiled out into open air, the baby Blue made another clumsy attempt at a catch, swinging up, over, and down, missing her by less than a length this time. He was crowding her now, on purpose, dropping back underneath in an attempt to drive her even higher with another headlong charge. If nothing else, his actions would be confusing and unpredictable, with unnecessary turns and seemingly endless speed, driven by adrenaline. For an experienced dragon, he would be easily avoided, but Arhenaiyth was taking the brute force approach - keep banging on something until you found the weakness.
Any opening Eveyth gave he took, and while his actions lacked any finesse and his wings were rapidly tiring, the Blue didn't back off. He'd have to try in earnest now, or risk a strain or sprain or falling out of the sky altogether... so he tried. Claws extended, Arhenaiyth whipped his tail to the left as hard as he could, pairing it with a beat of his wings that looped him behind and slightly above Eveyth. Flinging himself at her with all the grace of a sack of tubers, he tucked his wings in tight to give himself the advantage of gravity, reaching for her shoulders as his eyes shaded back to pure violet, all redness gone. This was right, he would have her and all would be well...
T'ri shrugged at X'rx with a pleased little grin, unapologetically pantsless. His underwear had a fairly mild striped pattern (well, except for the lime green and magenta stripes), and if they made how in to this flight he was painfully obvious, well, that was X'rx and Eveyth's fault. Unfortunately, Jeth's rider chose that moment to intervene (he was losing touch again, T'ri realized. Arhenaiyth was using far too much of his brain for him to keep humans and dragons separate for much longer). Giving Jeth a childish flick to the ear just as Eveyth tugged him down, Arhenaiyth barreled in, cutting off Jeth's progress without a second glance. Ioth and Azrath weren't currently much more than scenery, and Arhenaiyth knew what he had to do. No one was going to stop him.
He'd crawled up on the bed to cut Jeth off and now he kept going, urgency making him move lightning fast. Straddling Eveyth's lap (she had trapped herself in place by leaning back against Ioth), he grabbed for her shoulders, deceptively strong arms intending to pull her towards him, in to a kiss. A violent kiss, the kind that bruised lips. His.
((I tried to leave stuff open ended, but if anyone has a GM-ing problem just PM or IM me, or catch me in the cbox <3))

Eveyth’s words caused the large male above to snort. Well, well. Seemed his sister didn’t like being humored. Well he was no fan of being threatened with talon either. Turns had passed, things had changed and the large bronze was in no mindset to take the flash of claws as anything other then threat anymore. To toss such signs away was foolhardy and would bring you death. The bronze had been exiled for too long. He no longer took things as he had in past turns. This wasn’t a conscious decision on his part. It was one born of necessity while they were hidden. You trusted no one but those who escaped with you, and you protected each other. Like it or not all the returning dragon’s were again outsiders. He gave special exceptions to the siblings he remembered only though his rider’s reminders. But none other.
Winging out over the trees the large male did not falter in his wing beats. Yes Mavenath had just been suitably dismissed. But really he didn’t feel like going and no tiny green would command him. Sister or not. She was not a queen. Eyes still whirling in placid shades he followed the pack catching sight of when they turned ahead of him. Perfect. Using his own uniquely set up wing joints to whip himself around in mid-flight, a move that would be impossible for a dragon as large as himself if not for the gift his mother had given him, he surged ahead now slightly ahead of the pack he had previously been tailing. Sometimes there were benefits to hanging back.
When Eveyth ducked into the tunnels and back into the weyr Mavenath chose not to follow. Instead he circled high above the upper exit tunnels to the weyr. Obviously his sister would have to climb high to end her flight and when she did he would be there to meet her. Talons flexed in anticipation as he waited. However the sight that greeted his eyes when they finally emerged was unexpected. The baby was hassling his sister a great deal. This was not something the large male appreciated. Not one bit. Yes Mavenath himself was a force catcher. But this was his sister not some random green. Annoyance whirled briefly through his eyes before the male simply shrugged it off and put himself in line with the sun. From there he folded his wings and dove straight down towards the rising pair.
As Arhenaiyth dove for Eveyth’s shoulders the diving bronze slid one word into Eveyth’s mind. Both warning and suggestion. Roll. Once his sister cleared Mavenath simply bore down on the blue talons outstretched to attempt to grab him by the wing joints and pull him close, as if he was ‘catching’ the blue. The move was not intended to do the other any harm and as soon as Eveyth had cleared the displacement of air from the large male’s passing he intended to release the other male. To the small blue below the bronze stated in an amused tone. Whoops. How silly of me. I seem to have grabbed for the wrong girl.
