He does tend to be short and cruel at times due to him being cooped up most of his life at the Hold. He hates the his home, hates everything about it. His brother died, his father kept him inside and his mother was hardly around. He could care less about people. Change does not come easy for him but he does adapt quickly. It would take a very understanding, very patient human to change his view on humanity.
Others think he is a whelp and will amount to nothing. Some think he is the sweetest boy they that come across. He also has a tendency to let others get him into trouble.
History: Kalaht was born in Selentias Hold. His mother was a Jr. Journeyman Beasthealer and his father, a Jr. Journeyman Smith; weaponry. His father doted on him too much and his mother, well...she was a different story. She was hardly ever around for the boy. She was always too busy with her Craft to make time for him. Kalaht had an older brother that he loved very much.
At age 10, a bully came when Kalaht was outside. Both parents were at work and he was alone with his brother close by. The bully had a knife and shoved the 13 turn old boy to the ground. His brother saw the knife. He saw Kalaht get pushed down. He came running, but not before the bully cut his inner thigh. His brother was a Hold Guard so he knew a thing or two about first aid. He fixed Kalaht up then he taught him how to defend himself and others for future encounters.
Kalaht's brother was called away to escort some Traders to Southern Hold. He didn't need to know why they were going there, just that they needed protection. Him and a few others went on this mission. Their caravan was only goods and wasn't anything special about the trip but he knew better not go against his orders.
Reports of bandits had been in the area. During the convoy, the Traders and the Guards were ambushed by these bandits. His brother was killed in the process of protecting the cargo.
Kalaht's parents encouraged him stay inside due to all the teasing he had gotten for the bigger kids, after his brother died. The only time he wanted to go outside was when he went to the market and even then, Kalaht's parents were very adamant that he came straight home. He had never paid attention to the gossip at the market and his parents had never told him anything.
He had no reason to pick fights with ignorant and arrogant boys. He was a good, simple boy with nothing to lose but his sense his pride. His parents didn't like him going out alone but, they were insistent that he needed to get out everyday. He had no friends, no one he knew that would play with him on the way to the marketplace. The walk was just as boring as staying inside the house!
He wished that he could one day, explore what was outside of the Hold but, he was a good boy, did what he was told of him. Some nights he'd look out to the outskirts, wondering what laid beyond out the outside. He wanted to see what was out there. He wanted to experience life as a 13 Turn old should, to have friends to talk and play with. The short distance to the marketplace and back, it wasn't good enough. He wanted more...he yearned for adventure, excitement, love and things that he never experienced before.
Pets:
Name: Stone
Breed: Firelizard
Color: Brown 654321 E1A95F
Age:
Physical Appearance: A bit smaller than average, this brown is not to be under estimated. His body is compact, with short limbs that end in long, dangerous claws. Most impressive is this one's wings. Perfectly proportioned to his body and fueled by powerful muscles. He is an extremely skilled flying in all kinds of weather and performing all manner of aerial tricks.
For color, this brown is fairly ordinary from a distance. Simple, solid brown covers most of his body, making him appear rather plain. It is only up close that one will be able to see the faint, pale swirls that spiral delicately over his hide. It is almost as though someone has taken a paint brush to lightly decorated his hide, but forgot to add a second coat.
Personality: Friendly, this brown is not. His is moody and sulky at the best of times, and prefers to be left alone. His solitary nature comes from having an arrogant and low opinion of nearly all others, save his bonded. Clearly they are lesser beings in his presence. He will, however, offer help to others, but only unwillingly when his bonded wishes. Deep down, this one is actually lonely, but refuses to admit it. The one lucky enough to belong to this brown, will find himself/herself with a loyal, if difficult companion.
Only in the air, will this brown let his demeanor drop a little. He is most at home in the sky and will spend as much time as he can outside and flying. He also has a fondness for wind and storms, in which is his perfectly at home. His bonded may have to be careful that he doesn't venture out into one larger than he can handle.
Justice Blue
Bonded to: Kalaht
Name: Kalsk
Color: Blue #417DC1 #73C2FB
Based On: Aurochs
Physical Appearance: This blue will only be a touch smaller than the other large blue of Eikask's second clutch. He's a bit on the bulky side, though most of it is focused in his shoulders and legs. He has something of a square-ish build to him as well. His face, hwoever, sports large, wide eyes that give him an endearing expression. His hide will always be smooth and have a faint lustre to it if he's taken care of. He has large wings for his size. His few oddities include the fact that his two toes are more fused than normal compared to other whers and the ridges on his head are especially large.
He has a fairly straightforward colouration. He's a dusky azure wher all over, much like his brown brother. Over top this dusky azure, and muddling his hide colour, is a brighter azure. This brighter azure form short, thin lines all along this blue. The overall impression is that of sleek fur. It even follows the directions normal fur would. This faux fur is only absent on his wing sails and his ridges. As it the brighter azure mimicks his movements it often gives the illusion that he has fur if seen right. A touch is all that is needed to prove that he is not so strange.
This blue's movements are almost always fearless and dramatic. Each step is given careful consideration to achieve maximum showing off. As such, when young, he will move quite slowly until he gets a hang of his own movements. Soon enough he'll be translating his walks into runs and runs into gliding. Oh yes, those wings can support his weight well enough for adequate gliding, not that he'll ever do it often. Land will always be where he is most comfortable. Due to the muscle packed in his legs he's an excellent jumper as wel las quite speedy if he needs to be.
Personality: This blue is perhaps the most normal of the clutch. Above all he is a calm and perceptive wher. He has the ability to judge situations and ascertain whether or not whatever is going on is morally right by the majority of society's definition. He's outspoken enough to bring it up when others are doing wrong and he's willing to threaten them into submission (or try to, at least) if he absolutely must. He beleives all whers are equal regardless of colour and uses that belief in all his interactions.
He does not get depressed or angry easily, nor does he ever seem to show much enjoyment of anything. He is simply quiet in his emotions though. There's no need to kick up a fuss about every little thing, after all. Words can easily solve problems when used and it is far easier to enjoy things when there is company also enjoying it. Why broadcast happiness if those nearby are already feeling it for themselves? He alternately likes good excercise and relaxing on soft things. It will not be uncommon to find this wher trying to snuggle into bed with His or pulling pillows off of couches to make a temporary bed for himself. He's quick to vacate the pillows should anyone else need them. If the humans are allowed to use them, why not the loyal whers bonded to them?
He will take a keen interest in children of any species. He does not desire to father any - it is something beyond him anyways - but he will enjoy their company and looking after them if he is allowed. They are so pure and full of energy, something he desires both for himself and for all others. Surely if people were more like their younger selves there would be much less conflict in the world. Although...punishing them would become troublesome because even he wouldn't want to punish children. Ah, conondrums!
