It had been an eerily quiet night. Not that quiet nights were unusual but something about this one was different. Even Grim who usually was off and doing his own thing was clingy today and it wasn’t just because he knew she was pregnant. The near black colored blue flit was perched on Erilena’s shoulder, tail wound about her throat as he pressed against her neck completely silent. The healer stood quietly in Serissa’s room holding a cup of medicine laced juice as Raebeli spoke to the newly dragonless woman. They always tried to convince her to take something on her own first. Sometimes it worked. It depended on how lucid Serissa was that day it seemed. Hazel eyes regarded the other blonde with some mixture of sadness and perhaps pity. It was hard to see Serissa like she was. The woman and her had butted heads so often that it was almost wrong seeing her so….lifeless. Erilena tilted her head when Raebeli paused. It came as a noise first. Almost a rattle or a clattering. “Raebeli? Do you…” But that was as far as Erilena got before the floor started heaving. With a cry of surprise, echoed by the blue flit who leapt off her shoulder and blinked between, the woman dropped the cup of juice and flung out her arms in a pointless attempt to balance herself as the ground bucked beneath her. Grabbing at the nearest steady object also proved to be futile as it started to slide across the floor even as the greenrider grabbed for it. Losing her balance Erilena cursed as she headed for the floor instinctive curling to try and protect her belly. The baby. All that mattered in that moment was keeping her baby safe. The woman wasn’t sure what her head hit when she pitched forward but the last thing she heard before all went black was Feyrianth’s shriek of terror. When Erilena came to the room was pitch dark. The greenrider blinked into the darkness, coughing a bit at the amount of dust in the air, before she carefully drew herself up into a kneeling position one hand automatically going to her belly. Baby. Her baby. Headache. Her head was throbbing. She straightened to sit back on her heels and let her hand inch up into her hair. It came away sticky and wet. Blood. Giving herself a few minutes to gather her thoughts she called out into the dark even as her hands swept the floor to try and locate one of the glows that had been previously lighting the room. “Rae? Serissa? Are you guys okay?” Erilenamylove. Please tell me that you are okay?~~~~ Nysania sipped her tea as she raised an eyebrow at something Ae’on was complaining about. Boy was a terrific healer but he complained far too much in her opinion. Before she could answer him however the cup she had set on the table started to move on it’s own accord and almost fascinated she watched it before the vibrations increased and she sprung to her feet. Eyes widening the Weyrhealer shouted. Hopefully loud enough for people to hear above the din, but perhaps not. “Earthquake! Get under something sturdy if you can!” As she finished her shout she staggered towards the doorway to the storeroom. Halfway there a large piece of the ceiling above gave way and struck her. The woman gave a cry of pain before more of the ceiling followed and she found herself pinned on her back beneath the heavy stone. Her hands gripped at the rocking floor as she struggled to stay conscious. Finally it was over and the world was silent again. Deathly silent. She could feel Nyssk pressing frantically at the back of her mind and she clung to his consciousness for dear life. Nyssk. Love. I’m sorry. The Weyrhealer was dimly aware that she could not feel her legs, well anything below her torso for that matter and it was frankly getting harder to breath. “A’eon….help.” She managed to choke out in a near whisper as her vision blurred and she stayed clinging to Nyssk. A weak ineffectual push was given to the massive chunk of rock, but it was clear that it wasn’t going anywhere. ~~~~~~ Welcome to the Earthquake!This thread is for Anyone who works at the infirmary and wants to be in the thread (check the Infirmary schedule here) The earthquake takes place in the middle of the night. It is a really bad earthquake, and Selenitas is located very close to the epicenter, so damage will be extensive. The ground exit to the infirmary is blocked off by rubble and large sheets of falling rock; You cannot escape that way. The dragon treatment section is in various states of disaster; and the ledge is half blocked. Only smaller dragons may be able to land and enter. The infirmary entrance from the weyrs is also blocked and cannot be accessed, The only current way out of the infirmary is through the gap in the dragon entrance for as long as it stays intact. Pm me if you want your healer here and they are not on the current list I will be happy to add them somewhere:- Hinsero, Asharra, T'ke and Kostya, were doing inventory in the storage room and are blocked off from the main part of the infirmary but have access to the dragon section, assuming they are not injured. - Erilena, and Raebelli, were checking up on a strapped down Serissa and will find that they have been blocked off from all exits but not the main part of the infirmary. They will need to try and find/make an alternate route out, or wait for the whers to dig them free. - Ae’on, and Nysania, were chatting after the small healer meeting and are now trapped in the main part of the infirmary, blocked off from any exits. They will also have to either try and clear the hallway to the dragon part, or wait for the whers. Things to keep in mind: - This is an infirmary. There will be shattered glass and sharp instruments everywhere. Especially in the storage room and main treatment areas. - There will be strong smells from the medical supply spills. - Make sure to read everyone else's posts carefully so you don't contradict. Bolding names may help. - On that note, this is a big quality over quantity moment. If you can keep it short and still have a nice, respondable post, please do! - You have full dominion over your own area - destroy it as much or as little as you want. Injure your character as much or as little as you want. - Your first post should set up where your character is, and whether or not they're going to one of the meeting places. - Make sure you only post once after each of my posts. - Ask questions if you have them! Have fun!

Asharra was in the inventory room. The supplies where extensive and she had help in the form of Hinsero, T'ke and Kostya. The night had been very still and for once Asharra wasn't plagued by the constant noises of Fire Lizards and Mandyrs. They all seem subdued tonight. She didn't know why but she was grateful. Those little beasties where always getting into things. She was stooped over a container of herbs used to relieve headaches. The smell of sage, wintergreen and willow was nice compared to many more smells common to the infirmary. The container was half full, meaning that many people had not needed the tea since they last restocked.
She made a notation on her hide and straightened her back slowly. Aching muscles along her back tried to tell her she was getting too old, but she wasn't listening today. She took a moment to let the ache ease before counting the glass jars of Burn salve. One, two, three and so on till she finished. There where seven jars of the salve. She frowned, last month had its share of burns. She made another notation in the hide. I could make it myself, perhaps I'll see if some one will collect dragons tongue. I don't know if witch hazel grows here but that would be good too.
As she turned to talk to Hinsero She felt the ground vibrate. Her mouth opened slightly in uncertainty. What is happening? Suddenly the ground bucked, sending her straight down. She let go of the hide and tried to stand back up, but the ground shook harder. "Earthquake?" She said aloud. No one said the south got earthquakes! She tried to scramble away from the shelves. Glows got knocked off and she found herself in darkness. She could feel panic rising and though she couldn't stand she crawled towards where she'd last seen Hinsero and T'ke. She wasn't sure where Kostya was in the room.
"Try to get away from the walls!" She said aloud as jars and tubs where falling off shelves. Glass shattered the smell of several different salves, herbs and liquids mingled in the air. Redwort was one of the more noticeable. She didn't have time to worry about the Redwort though as a crack followed by a groan of stone came from above. Fearfull of the bucking ground and the ceiling above she tried to move further back. Stone fell, blocking the way into the main infirmary. She felt small bits of stone hit her from the impact of the main piece. She cried out fearfully with her hands over her head, shaking.
As the night finally quieted down she pulled her hands away from her head. She was in darkness, the smells of different supplies all around her. As she put her hands on the floor she could feel shattered glass. They would all have to be careful. "Are you all alright?" She asked to the darkness surrounding her. She coughed, dust had been thrown into the air and made it hard for her to breathe. She slowly stood up, not walking because she couldn't see.

"...really such a pain!" Ae'on finished off his complaint. Really, he was mostly complaining for the sake of it rather than truly upset about anything. Still, he had something a of a reputation, didn't he? Now really, Mine, you'd be so very loveable and cuddly if you stopped trying to be prickly, Sfelyth commented from his perch on the infirmary's dragon ledge. His wasn't actually on shift that night...or really any night so the blue had waited to pick His up again.
Such was why the blue was entirely unscathed from the earthquake. The blue had blinked as the world beginning to shake under his claws. Too young was he to have ever experienced a severe earthquake but he knew of them from the mine incident and quickly took to the air. A smart move for a moment after he abandoned the ledge the land bucked and tossed a bunch of dirt and rock where he'd just been. That was quite something, wouldn't you say, Ae'onMine? A sharp pain in his shoulder had the blue falter slightly in surprise and he craned his neck to look only to find no injury. Ae'on!
I'm alright. And so is Me, the bluerider responded, even though he really wasn't alright. Unfortunately there wasn't anything particularly sturdy where he was, not when the ceiling itself was a hazard. He'd been almost on Nysania's heels when he glanced up out of pure paranoia that the sky itself - or in this case, ceiling - would fall on them only to see that it really was. He made to backtrack, yelling, "Nysania, above!" He was far too late plus some of the ceiling clipped his shoulder and he could almost hear the pop of it dislocating. Hence the shared pain.
So it was that Ae'on gently trailed a hand along his collarbone and shoulder, judging the damage and reassuring his dragon and 'mandyr that he wasn't dying. He barely heard Nysania's cry for help. All he actually heard was her voice, whatever words she said didn't register. His eyes widened to an almost comical width and roughly jerked his own shoulder back into alignment. Don't try this at home, kids, he thought wryly to himself as he yelped at the pain and nearly doubled over to retch. After a moment of composing himself, Ae'on moved to help Nysania. "Nysania? Nys?" He called out, voice gravel rough from pain. Then he all but tripped on the rubble on the weyrhealer and really did retch off to the side. "Oh Faranth."
Yuck.

T'ke yawned and made another check on his list for bandages. Thanks to him breaking his leg again, it was quite hard to participate in most of his usual drills. Unless, of course, he wanted to risk falling of his dragon again. So he'd volunteered to help the infirmary with inventory and the like while he was healing. It wasn't anything he hadn't done before, but it wasn't much fun having to limp around crutches again either. It could be worse, though. He was still waiting for the day when Ja'kin and H'nes decided he was too useless to waste food on and this recent incident can't have helped their opinion of him. Best just to stay as ignored as possible, he supposed.
T'ke had just bent down to check the supply of extra blankets, when a pile of bandages rained onto his back. "Hey, I just..." The ground rolled, sending him sprawling to the ground. His leg crumpled painfully, and he yelped with pain. More shelves collapsed, sending their contents crashing down around him. A jar of numbweed narrowly missed his head, making Shard shriek with terror and hid deeper into his shirt. Pain ripped through T'ke's back, but when the shaking stop, he couldn't find any reason for it. The world was horribly still and silent, and beyond the bandages, nothing had touched him.
Lucky as he was, T'ke knew the phantom pain could only mean one thing. Garaeth? he pressed urgently. If only he'd had his dragon come with him instead of letting him sleep at their weyr. Hmmm? Yes, T'ke? Garaeth's voice came oddly fuzzy, but still cheerful enough. T'ke breathed a sigh of relief. He knew if Garaeth had died he would know it, but it was wonderful to hear his voice. The earthquake, are you alright? Did you hurt your back? Is it bad? he asked, more panicked than he meant to sound. Oh, yes, Garaeth replied brightly. I mean, I am alive. That is very good! I can even see the stars, they are lovely tonight. T'ke got a sinking feeling in his stomach. Garaeth, he said slowly and as calmly as he could. What about your back? Oh that. I am sure it will be fine. Once I can see it again. What?! Well, there are these rocks, you see. I am sure it would be great if it was raining, but it does make it hard to move. Garaeth, you stay right there! Don't move! I'll bring help! Oh no need to hurry, the blue's sing-song voice continued. The stars really are pretty.
T'ke bit back a cry of pain as he pushed himself to his feet. "Asharra? Hinsero?" he looked around, but it was too black to see anything clearly. He thought he heard Asharra's voice somewhere nearby, but he couldn't hear Hinsero. Shards and shells, he didn't have time for this! He had to find help to get Garaeth unburied as soon as possible! Maybe if they could make it outside, then Hinsesk could dig him out. T'ke winced and took a few steps towards where he thought the exit had been. His nose bumped against unmovable stone and he fell back on his rump. "Shard it!"

The words were not cold, no, but they were tired... staying up all day and night had a way of draining a person, even Raebeli whose sleep deprivation much too often manifested in a slap happy loopiness. For the moment however, there was an air of sobriety, the woman simply couldn't giggle around the dragonless woman, especially as she urged her to accept the drink Erilena had to offer. It was the same drink as the night before, and the night before that, and finding it rather futile to admit anything but the truth, the mindhealer began to explain their constant pushing of the stuff on her. Sure, sometimes things flowed with out question, but here she was being rather pre-emptive, "I'm not going to lead you on Serissa..." and then subsequently cut off, but not by the very person she was addressing. Instead her attention was brought to a sudden clacking sound that interrupted the permeating silence.
She turned her attention over to the woman across from her, watching her lips move but taking little heed in the words. The ground was beginning to rumble, and shake, and pull out from underneath her feet. Rather gracelessly she began to sway before she felt falling debris glance off of her shoulder and knock her mercilessly to the ground with a thud and a yelp. The woman was pelted a few more times in the stomach and the chest before she could gather the wherewithal to curl over herself in defense and ride out the rest of the tremors. Had there been even a semblance of light - it was lost as the glows fell and scattered - she would have sought out something, maybe a cot under which she could hide, but as it was crawling got her nowhere and her hands and back were victim to the collapsing ceilings no matter how tight of a ball she wrapped herself into.
When the shaking stopped, she was a mess. Alive, but a mess, and frightened to the point of being frozen in place. Petrified, she laid there trembling as if the vibrations remained to reverberate through her body alone. Raelovemine! Raelove? Are you alright? Oh pleaseeee... The little green was practically whining; a tone that was more than unusual for the dragon. Sniffling and in tears, the woman's eyes shuddered open, peeping through her connection, I'm fine... where are you? Underplayed, but still, No, worries. With clutchbrother Sfelyth... It seemed that night vision was quite the gift indeed, and having been waiting on the ledge for her own bonded - Quixoth ruefully thought back on the days when Rae didn't have to stay so late at the sick place - was quick to follow Sfelyth's suit in the air.
Sitting up, the mindhealer coughed as the dirty air circulated through her lungs, her mind racing too fast to even begin comprehending the pain. Where was Erilena? What about her baby? What about Serissa? She was the most vulnerable there on that bed, immobile. Or how about Cap'n? She could only hope that the bird had stayed outside to roost for the night - he had been awfully aloof in the recent days. It was through these worries that she heard Erilena's voice to which she immediately replied to an involuntary wail... really she had meant to say she was just fine, but as banged up as she was with her hands and back all bloodied her voice escaped her. Pausing for another moment she finally answered, "Fine... I think? You? Serissa?"

Serissa was fairly quiescent tonight - she had her rages, her begging, her red-eyed sobbing fits of frustration and pain, but tonight she was simply not present - but Daniel was having none of it. The Brown flit had taken it upon himself to protect and fix His, and help was not appreciated. The poor, beleaguered infirmary staff generally had to throw a towel over him and restrain him physically while they attempted to treat the ex-rider, but tonight he was simply glaring balefully at the Mindhealer, as exhausted as they all were. He wouldn't let them give her the nasty stuff, not unless they explained why. It seemed like he might actually find out what it was for tonight...
And then everything started to shake. Clinging tight to Serissa's shoulder, Daniel extended a wing over her face, rising up to roar defiance and anything that threatened his beautiful owner. Serissa didn't seem to notice what was going on, permanently red-rimmed eyes watching the ceiling absently as her bed jumped and moved. Under the bed, however, the ex-Bluerider was frantically twisting a wrist in the subtle straps that tied her down. She might look absent, but she was not, and just today she'd discovered that a certain mutation of her hand would let her pull free of the strap. A mysterious crack sounded from her left hand as she wrenched it free, but certainly no one noticed - the world was going crazy. Not that that mattered to Serissa, her world had gone crazy a month ago. An earthquake? Nothing. She'd lost her soul.
By the time the shaking stopped, Serissa had released herself and hobbled upright in the dark, frantically searching for a knife, a shard of glass... anything. She had to join her Ildyth. But Daniel was flying in her face, herding her back into a corner, and the room she was in had long ago been cleared of anything sharp. That, and her leg was still in a cast, and would be for another two months or so. The pain of putting weight on it made her gasp involuntarily, and the Healer hunched down into the corner Daniel was moving her towards, trying (and failing) to suppress sobs of desperation. She'd escaped, but even that hadn't helped. Nothing helped.
--
The earthquake had caught Hinsero totally unawares, despite the fact that his pets had been acting odd all day. Deep in a count of individual packets of fever reducers, the Brownhandler just looked blankly at Asharra when she shouted, standing there like a big dumb post while he talked to Hinsesk. That was not the best idea.
A big tub of something fell off the top shelf, clipping Hinsero on the forehead and dropping him like a rock. Crumpling, the Brownhandler remained generally insensible, bleeding lightly from a gash in his forehead. Luckily, Hinsero was a fairly big man - if Asharra or T'ke poked around where they had all been working, they would find the Handler. A simple shake should be enough to wake him.
Hinsesk didn't hesitate, though. The Wher had a good set of coordinates Hinsero had sent in panic when things started going all odd, and when His stopped responding, the big brown Wher responded. There wasn't really enough room for the Brown in the storerooms, but he crammed himself in anyway, sides brushing either side of the corridor of shelves where Hinsero was last seen. A low bark let the other Healers know of his presence, but the Wher was far more interested in nudging Hinsero and bringing him around.

Her hands futilely searched for the glows even as Erilena answered Feyrianth. I’m okay Fey. Shhh. I’m okay. With the green panicking so badly she had to keep her mostly mentally closed off or the dragon’s emotions would quickly overwhelm her. If that happened they were in real trouble. Raebeli’s wail didn’t bode well and she could hear Serissa’s hopeless whimpers from somewhere else in the dark room. That left her to be the calm one for now didn’t it? Though the healer had to admit that staying calm was terribly hard when her mind wouldn’t stop screaming about the baby and Dmitri. Oh Faranth Dmitri…please, please let him be okay. Ignoring the feel of warm wet blood running down her forehead the greenrider quickly swiped her hand over it to keep the stuff from running into her eye before she rested the hand again on her belly. Needed to think.
Feyrianth. You listen to me. Erilena’s voice was as stern as she could make it without being harsh. I need you to calm down love. Are you hurt? Just a few bruises I think. Alright. Where are you? In the dragon treatment area. Are you trapped? I think I can squeeze out. Okay good. Do that then. You’ll be safer outside in case it happens again and I need you to gather some information for me okay? The rider gave a pulse of comfort and love as her dragon gave the equivalent of a mental nod and renewed her search for a glow. If they had light it wouldn’t be quite so terrifying right? A familiar trill and the tap of claws on stone drew her attention then. Grim had returned. Hopping across the floor he trilled to his again. Over here carrier of life. She was looking for illumination in darkness yes?
“Good boy Grim.” The woman breathed out softly as her fingers met the casing for the glow basket and she pulled it towards her before unshuttering it. As the soft light fought back some of the darkness Erilena gave a small sigh of relief and glanced around for the other women in the room. A worried look was given to Serissa. It didn’t look like the ex-rider was going to be of any help to them at all. Not that that was surprising. Turning to Raebeli instead the greenrider got shakily to her feet and tried to ignore the pounding in her head. “I’m okay I think. Hit my head at some point and a few bruises but I’ll be fine.” Thankfully by some miracle she was able to keep her voice level. “Can you stand?” Erilena asked the mindhealer before glancing back again at Serissa and then the door. “We need to get out of here in case it happens again.” The real issue was going to be figuring out if they could even get out. That and convincing Serissa to follow them.
Raising the glow in front of her the greenrider carefully picked her way over the rumble on the floor and to the doorway. Holding the glow out into the darkened corridor she glanced around. “The hallways blocked on the left but it looks like we might be able to get through on the right.” Which would take them to the main treatment area of the infirmary. Probably their best bet. They could clean themselves up and go from there, because they probably wouldn’t get time to treat themselves for awhile if they waited. Not if what Feyrianth was passing on to her now was true.
A shiver ran down the woman’s spine. How many were injured? Or worse. Stepping partially back into the room Erilena swallowed and turned to look at Serissa. “Serissa we have to go. Come on.” As she spoke Grim leapt off her shoulder and chirped once to Daniel. Dearest brother wanted his safe yes? Then they had to get her out of here. Could he be of any help?
~~~~
Feyrianth uncurled from the ball she had been tightly wound in, nostrils flaring in the dusty air as she rose and shook off the small rocks and dust clinging to her. Eyes whirling in worried shades of yellow and orange she picked her way among fallen slabs of stone and to the partially blocked ledge. Though she was big for a green she was still no bigger then your average blue. The female found it quite easy to squeeze through the small pathway still open and perch on what was left of the edge of the infirmary ledge. Taking in the chaos below her Feyrianth gave a soft keen. So many hurt or worse. She wanted to help. So many needed help. Passing the scenes of destruction on to hers she leapt from the ledge and winged upwards, whirling eyes taking in everything as she tried to decide what to do.
Winging up and over a ledge she immediately stalled midair with a cry of horror. Garaeth! She called to him as she turned back on herself and hurriedly landed on his ledge. Her claws scrabbled against the stone as Feyrianth steadied herself from the quick landing and dropped her head to nuzzle the pinned blue. I will try to get you free. Hang on. With that the four winged female began to put words to action, muscles straining as she threw her strength into trying to clear the large rocks from the male’s back. Is yours okay? The green asked Garaeth forcing her mindvoice calm. Keeping the blue talking would help keep him awake.
~~~~
Nysania didn’t register Ae’on’s retch. All that was clear in the haze of pain right now was Nyssk’s mental presence the wher having pulled her consciousness as close to his as was possible as he tried to soothe her. It was alright Protected number one. It would be okay. But the Weyrhealer could tell that it wouldn’t be. That the blue was trying to comfort her because he didn’t know what else to do. I love you Nyssk. She pressed upon him mentally as the numbness started to flood in. Weakly she coughed to try and clear her airway and could taste blood on her tongue. Never a good sign.
“Ae’on…..Ae’on.” Her words were in a tone barely above a whisper. “You have to get out of here. I can’t move. You have to go.” There were people that were going to need her healers. Hopefully most of them had remained intact. “Tell them I’m sorry A’eon. Please.” Nysania whispered desperately. Just who she was talking about though it seemed the boy would have to figure out on his own.
The blackness was flooding back again. But strangely this time Nysania didn’t find herself scared. No it was almost comforting. Soothing. A promise of an end to the pain. Her breaths rasping in her chest she let her eyes slip shut and started to let go of Nyssk’s mind, ignoring the wher as he tried to desperately cling to her for all he was worth. Help them Nyssk. Please. Somewhere in the weyr the blue flung back his head and let loose a sad and haunting keen.
Yes Protected number one. He would help them. A final pulse of love was sent across the bond to her before the link shattered, Nysania’s breaths stilling as she slipped into oblivion.

T'ke was rapidly growing tired of being in the dark. His dragon was hurt, maybe badly. Though it was hard to tell when all he could feel was the crushing pain and the difficulty breathing. On top of that, he hadn't run into Asharra or Hinsero yet. What if something heavier than bandages had fallen on their heads? These selves weren't exactly made for this. Grumbling while fighting back the rising panic at the hopeless situation, T'ke scrambled around the floor until his hand found a glow. Wincing at the shards of glass and smell of redwort, he shook until he got a dim source of blessed light.
"Now we'll..." he started, trying to sound confident. "...yeah!" Until the large brown head appeared in front of him. T'ke fell down for about the third time that night, biting his lip against the pain. Shards and shells, his leg was going to break again if this kept happening. "Hinsero does he have to..." T'ke's voice faded as his light found the wherhandler was unable to answer him. "Hinsero?" T'ke crawled closer to the still form as Garaeth's welcome voice came to his head. T'ke-love, Feyrianth is so kind to help me, is she not beautiful? T'ke let out a relieved sigh. Garaeth still sounded more loopy than normal, but at least he was getting trusted help. Yes, she is, he agreed, trying to hold his light so he could see better. Make sure you thank her for me. When this was over, T'ke was going to give Erilena the biggest bunch of flowers he could find. If they survived.
"Asharra? Are you there? Hinsero's out, I think it's bad!" T'ke's husky voice was just above a whispered, as if he was afraid being loud would bring the whole ceiling down. T'ke's eyes traveled over the other man's body, frowning. He was no healer! How was he supposed to help on his own?! Asharra had better be alright back there, or they were all in big trouble. T'ke saw the blood seeping from the head wound and felt his stomach turn knots. I must not faint, I must not faint, he intoned over and over. "Hinsero?" T'ke gave the handler a gentle shake. Maybe it wasn't too bad. "Come on, we need you!"
After Taith's heartening concern, Garaeth was even more delight to see four familiar green wings come his way. Why this was even better than looking at the stars! Feyrianth, my darling flower! he crooned, clearly feeling much more out of it than normal. Maybe it was the difficulty breathing. T'ke-mine is well, except for what was already broken. You really do not have to go to such trouble for me. I am sure others are stuck too. At least I can see the stars! Garaeth's half lidded eyes beamed at her blearily. He really didn't feel all that bad anymore, it was only hard to breathe and he couldn't move. Surly others were far worse.

Sfelyth watched with keen night-eyes as Feyrianth squeezed out of an opening in the dragon ledge of the infirmary. Well wasn't that just so interesting? The blue was making large, seemingly passive circles nearby the infirmary ledge. Though his eyes showed nothing but the usual calm and happy colours he was truly very worried about Ae'onHis and, yes, even little Me. He did not at all like the way she completely took His on occasion but he'd grown fond of the little creature over time. The blue directed his attention to his green sister and he crooned to her. Quixoth, dearest, would you like to assist me in trying to clear the dragonledge? While we can both probably squeeze through their on our own I'm not sure we could do so with a rider or supplies. That and he couldn't stand being idle.
Ae'on's attention had never left Nysania but it was certainly renewed when she called his name. He moved closer to the woman, close enough to understand her dying words. What she said almost had him gagging on the bile rising up in the back of his throat. Leave her...He didn't need to ask to know what he was leaving her for. "I'm sorry. So sorry, Nysania," he managed to choke out. Much to his eternal shame, he left probably before she'd even completed her last breath, both disturbed at his inadequacy to save her and determined to save as many others as he could. First he had to check on the others. He'd heard what he thought were voices but he hadn't been paying them much mind.
Oh hey, before you look for the others, mind giving me an image? The wher queen is demanding one, Sfelyth commented to Ae'on in obvious amusement. Right, because Ae'on could totally see much of anything in the infirmary with most of the glows scattered all over the floor and piles of rubble everywhere and...That's a sufficient image, thank you Mine. Now do hold it for a couple more seconds aaaand...sent. Ae'on rolled his eyes and moved towards where he knew Erilena, Serissa, and Raebeli ought to have been since...well...women mattered first, yes? Especially pregnant best friends of his sister. "Erilena, Raebeli?" He called out. He didn't bother calling Serissa. He knew she probably wouldn't respond even if she was okay.
((Eikask and her little posse will arrive in the main part of the infirmary shortly, but I'd rather them be discovered by someone other than my own char. XD))

Asharra felt palpable relief as T'ke found a glow. She disliked feeling helpless which is what this earthquake and the darkness had down. She looked around, shaken by the damage down to the store room. Suddenly a brown thing popped into the room. "AHHHHHCK!" She shrieked at the sudden appearance of a big brown...Wher. She straighted back up and gave him a dirty look. "Last thing I need is a second earthquake..."
She didn't have much time to dawdle as T'ke called out to her. "I'm over here." She said in with a voice calmer than she felt. She made her way over carefully, avoided glass and Wher."How did you ever manage to squeeze in here? Never mind, just try not to squish me as I check on Hinsero." She spoke towards the Wher without expecting a reply and moved closer to Hinsero and T'ke. "Now, now head cuts act more serious than they usually are. They're quick to poor blood." She looked at his face. "He out to come around in a minute." She placed a handy piece of bandage on his forehead but couldn't keep it there with Hinsesk nudging his Bonded. "Stop that for a moment Hin....Hinsk....Hinsesk. He's sure to come around in a moment." The sooner the better. What did that big lizard think he was doing in here anyhow?

Daniel snapped at Grim, spreading his enormous wings in a clear dominance display. He did not need help caring for his, it was his duty! As Serissa tried to sneakily slide sideways, though, nearly knocking Daniel off his perch, the dark Brown adjusted his stance a bit. He didn't need help, but perhaps Grim could be of assistance. They needed to get her up, to keep her calm. Her mind was in pain, and Daniel couldn't fix that, but he could get her to stand up if he needed her to.
And it sounded like that was what Erilena wanted. Gently urging her upright mentally and tugging on her shirt physically, the Brown tried to get his owner to stand... but Serissa was having none of it. She just sat down harder, crossing her arms and glaring Erilena's direction. "Why?" she asked, the honeyed sweetness of her tone sounding much more like the Serissa they all knew and loved (?) than her red-rimmed eyes and disheveled hair made her look. "You won't let me leave, and now you tell me we have to go. I'm not a child, I know what I want. So do you." Tossing her hair back over her shoulder, she added, "Also, who put you in charge? I'm fairly certain I rank you, Junior Journeyman. You don't tell me what to do. Where's Asharra, or Nysania? Or Kalierre?"
--
Hinsesk whuffed at T'ke, shouldering past the man as he headed for His. He did let Asharra in, though; he recognized her from His' thoughts when Hinsero was in the smelly place, and boy, the Infirmary smelled worse than the Brown had ever imagined. His nose twitched and he sneezed right in T'ke's face. Whoops.
It was only moments before Hinsero blinked, sitting up with a groan while he held the bandage in place. "Ugh, worst headache ever," he said, although the smile in his voice made it less of a whine than it could have been. As usually, Hinsero's positive attitude was present, even when he'd just been out cold and the whole world practically destroyed. Hinsesk was here, all was well... wait. Heart! Soul! Are you ok, girls? With a little pop! Hinsero's two green pets arrived, salamandyr riding firelizard like a mount. Despite Hinsero's worry, the two Greens had gotten along surprisingly well after the initial period of adjustment. Soul chirped prettily, although Hinsero could tell from her crimson eyes that she was not pleased about being woken at night, and Heart added, We are fine, my love. Shall we stay with you? No, meet me on the surface. Someone should be setting up a base camp there. Good girls.
With that taken care of, the handler struggled to his feet, using Hinsesk as a crutch. Glancing around at the destruction, he made a face. "Asharra, we need to get you out. Hinsesk says Nyssk is losing his," saying that made Hinsero's heart break, but now was not the time for grief, "So we'll need you more than ever. Have you ever ridden a Wher?"
((Archie, feel free to GM Hinsero and Hinsesk taking Asharra to the surface, if she consents to go <3))

Raebeli didn't feel all too much up to moving around. Not that she couldn't, it was just that remaining stationary seemed much preferable. Still, she struggled to her feet, not without a few sniffles, and supporting herself with the palms of her hands as the fingers were left stiff and already swelling. It was with a slight groan and burdened exhale - a pain shot up through the ribs - that the woman replied, "Yeah..." a statement that trailed off as she meagerly tried to dust off her skirt with little avail. It was nothing but a habitual movement, a piece of routine in a place where a disruption rendered everything astray.
If laying down in wait was not an option, then the mindhealer agreed that getting out was the obvious thing, and immediately motioned towards what she expected was an escape - she felt a draft, a blast of fresh air coming from past the rubble around the door. What she didn't count on was the two blondes to find something to squabble about. She knew they didn't have the friendliest of relations, and that was when Serissa was whole and Erilena wasn't hormonal and neither were in the middle of an emergency. Raebeli would most definitely facepalm at the sight of the former crossing her arms in childlike defiance if it wasn't for the fact that her hands were you know... bloody, "Rank isn't going to matter much when we're all dead, and look your lovely is urging you along," she vaguely gestured at Daniel, "so I for one, suggest we get going?" It wasn't like the woman was really in a state in which she could think to say anything clever or "mindhealery".
Considering her affinity for her clutchmates - honestly she hadn't found any dragons she adored more than her own siblings - the green was fast to agree with Sfelyth, with an approving pulse sent his way. Why yes, with both of us it should be no problems... It took no more than a sweep of her wings before she descended down onto whatever outcrop she could with a feather light touch. From then on out it was like constructing a house of cards, attempting to pull those stones which could open the way, but wouldn't facilitate a landslide.

Grim trilled softly at his brother when he snapped at him. Well of course it was his duty. Silly brother we wasn’t trying to imply that it was beyond him. Unruffled by his brown brother the blue was as he looped around in the dim light of the glow, casting odd shadows on the wall. He would however be more then happy to assist. With that, and with a light but affectionate brush to Daniel’s mind, the dark flit alighted on Serissa’s other shoulder and chirped softly before he too snagged her shirt and beat his large wings to try and help his brother force her upright.
Erilena half ignored her firelizard’s antics for the moment. She was far more concerned with the fact that Serissa was making things more difficult then they had to be. Not that this was completely unexpected. However dealing with the ex-rider plus the run off from Feyrianth was not leaving the greenrider in the most stable of moods. Though that probably also could half be blamed on the pounding of her head, her hormones, and the situation as well. Right now the thing that mattered most to Erilena was her baby and whether or not Dmtiri was okay. Feyrianth was informing her that Kierjarrth was saying that another quake was an extremely likely possibility. Which meant that she had to get out of here before the world started caving in again. To that end when Serissa just firmly settled herself on the floor and crossed her arms Erilena had to literally bite her tongue to prevent herself from simply yelling at the other woman. That or giving her a sharp slap.
Finally the greenrider spoke, her tone while not friendly wasn’t exactly harsh either. Just stern and decidedly fed up. “For not being a child you sure are acting quite like one.” Hazel eyes narrowed upon the other blonde and then they gained a certain soberness. “I don’t know where Asharra and Nysania are. Kalierre…Kals is no longer with us.” Her voice almost broke on that last sentence. “Feyrianth informs me that Phremath just betweened.” Erilena was struggling to keep it together. She couldn’t do anything about Kalierre’s death but it hit her hard. She had been apprenticing under the woman for turns. The other greenrider had been like a second mother at times. Blinking back the sudden flood of tears as she let Raebeli have her say and nodded in agreement with the mindhealer. “Rank doesn’t matter anymore Seri. Not right now. You can come with us or you can stay here. Your choice. I’m not going to force you as much as I wish I could.” The greenrider finally said softly. They had to get out now if they wanted to be of any help to anyone left. If they wanted to save themselves. If she wanted to save her baby. Erilena really didn’t have time to stand there and argue with the other woman for the rest of the night.
When she heard Ae’on call out her head snapped towards the hallway. “We’re over here A’eon. I think we’re mainly okay?” She called back before adding. “Serissa’s going to need some help walking though.” Maybe if they couldn’t convince the blonde to come with them Ae’on could just carry her. Moving back over to the hallway Erilena lifted the glow to give the bluerider something to follow and then gestured to Raebeli. The sooner they got out of the room and somewhere else the better.

Feyrianth’s muscles strained as she tried to lift the biggest slab of rock off the blue’s back, at the same time crooning down to him as he spoke to her. She was used to his compliments but normally they were not quite so flowery. His mind tone also sounded a bit weird. Whether it was the pain or something else the green didn’t know. But she kept Garaeth talking all the same as she put everything into moving the massive rock.
Do not be silly Garaethfriend. The stars are very pretty but wouldn’t you rather be flying with me and our other friends again? That would be much easier if you were not stuck. Just at that moment she felt Phremath pass between and with a loud and pain filled keen she put all her remaining strength into shoving that huge rock. Finally it slipped off the blue and was sent it tumbling back down and into the river below. With a sad whine Feyrianth’s sides heaved as she paused to nuzzle the blue’s head. I am not letting anything crush you or any of my other friends. The rocks can’t have you. I won’t let them. Her tone was fierce but not without an underlying sadness to it
Working to clear the remaining debris from the blue Feyrianth examined his injuries as she passed along the information to hers. Finally Gareth was mostly cleared save a few small rocks and the green sat back on her haunches to rest for a moment. Can you feel all your toes and your tail Garethlove? If you can we need to get to a safe place. I can help you fly if you cannot. I have wings for the both of us. Raising her head up towards the top of the canyon for a moment she dropped it again to nudge him gently. We must go before it shakes again.

Nyssk and the Tiger wilding set off together after Eikask spoke, the two scaling the canyon in different places as they made their way up and towards the infirmary. Once they got near it the two males split off from each other.
Entering through one of the cleared out weyrs the Tiger wilding slipped into the dark and destroyed hallway and picked his way over to the entrance to the infirmary. Once there he set to clearing that entrance of it’s stone blockage, all the while informing Eikask as to his progress.
Nyssk took a different approach and glided to the dragon ledge of the infirmary. Once there he slipped past Sfelyth and Quixoth not pausing to glance at either dragon as he made his way though the treatment area with single mindedness. Approaching the the actual infirmary he brushed against Eikask’s mind and whined a soft greeting and then encouragement to Hinsesk as his brother passed.
Mother he would start clearing the way from this side. With the gold thus informed Nyssk threw his strength into clearing the hallway blockage, pausing every once and while to examine weaknesses in the structure before continuing.

T'ke breathed a sigh of relief, if only a little. They were still stuck as far as he could see, along with dozens of others through the Weyr no doubt. Any minute another quake would hit and then the remains of the roof would come crashing down on their heads. Until then, he supposed he would be happy that Hinsero was actually alright and that he hadn't fainted yet. It was not from lack of trying. Garaeth had managed to tell him that a number of dragons were already dead, including Phremanth. Kalierre, one of the only people who seemed to take him seriously at times. He had to try not to think about it. The idea of her being gone made him want to cry or throw up or both.
Hinsesk provided a welcome distraction as he promptly sneezed in T'ke's face. "Hey, what gives?" T'ke spluttered despite their situation. And he thought getting kissed by Garaeth was bad. On second thoughts, that was still worse, but just barely. He listened absently to Hinsero's suggested, a little jealous that he could think so well with all that blood. T'ke was still trying not to look at it too closely. Still, his words made sense, even with his wound. If Nysania too was gone, they were fast running out of Healers. Asharra didn't have time to waste here with them. "I'll try to find another way out," he suggested, more to have something to do than anything. Hinsesk could always come back for them in time, but it would probably help if he didn't have to.
The light showed that the way to the rest of the infirmary was hopelessly blocked, but maybe they could still reach the dragon area and it's ledge to the outside. Once there they could get a ride to the surface. He supposed they could climb too, but he didn't fancy trying that with a broken leg.
Garaeth started to shifted as more of the weight was lifted from him. He sent showers of dirt and rocks down his sides, though the pain in his chest did not ease by much. Ah yes, he thought dreamily. Flying with Feyrianth would be far better than watching her. Then his head let out a pained keened. Oh Phremanth, he moaned sorrowfully. No amount of happy thoughts could brighten this moment. He met Feyrianth's determination with a much clearer gaze. Nor I, he agreed firmly. If I can help it. Finally, most of the rocks were gone and Garaeth felt his breath come a little easier.
He moved each of his feet and tail in turn, give Feyrianth a grateful croon. For you, I will try. It would be sad to burden your lovely wings, he assured her. I can not thank you enough, truly. The blue spread his wings and flapped a few times. They were torn in places, but not so badly that they could not hold air. A few stitches would put them right in time. His back ached from a number of small wounds, but nothing so much as his chest. Somehow he felt the rocks were still there, crushing his breath. Still, so long as he did not have far to go, he thought he could make it to higher ground before he collapsed.
Bunching his legs, Garaeth pushed off the ledge. He used as much momentum as he could find to power his flight, but it was hard going. It would have been so much easier to glide down, rather than having to power upward. At least he was not on ground level and had only two levels to go. He was silent as he worked, the flight taking too much effort even to speak. The cold, night wind stung his wounds, but at least the pain kept him from falling asleep from the burning in his chest. Each wingbeat seemed to pull his ribs even tighter into his body. Finally, the cliff edge was above him, and he scrambled onto the surface with his claws, breathing heavily. See? he chimed, trying to sound confident. I will be fine now that you have saved me, dear Feyrianth.

"Ride a Wher?" She looked up at Hinsesk and back to Hinsero. "No I haven't" And I don't want to Duty was duty though and she wasn't about to let a personal dislike of something get in the way. "Nyssk? That is Nysania's right?" Her face furrowed in concern and sorrow. She had been rather fond of the young woman. "Let's get going then. You'll....need to help me up." After a moment she said, "Lets grab some numbweed, redwort wash and bandages real quick. They may not have access to supplies on the surface." She picked up a fallen basket and set some of the items she mentioned with in, as well as a bottle of burn salves as a second thought.
Once Hinsero had her safely on the big brown Wher they betweened. She gasped, reflexively holding onto what she couldn't feel. She had avoided dragons her whole life. The span of three breaths seemed to extend on forever for her as she clutched nothing. Total sensory deprivation. The feeling of night air was heavenly as they entered into one of the camps. She had been clutching Hinsero rather tight, and now she let go. "You go ahead and get down first. I'm....going to need help I think. My old body isn't very accommodating."
(You can have her getting down and heading towards where ever she needs to go. I have no idea which base camp you went to)
