Selenitas Weyr - the benevolent protector of the South from a time before war ever racked the Pernese world. Pulled into the Dragon War by forces stronger than themselves, they withstood attacks and takeovers before taking their fate into their own hands and helping Benden Weyr eliminate Fort Weyr. They won peace for the world and were transformed into a mixed Weyr that welcomes all walks of life - but not everything is roses and butterflies for there is tension between the former enemies now residing in the same walls.

Inverness Weyr - the steadfast guardian of the North. The centralized Weyr is made up of former enemies in a bitterly cold climate. While former Selenitas riders also make up a sizeable population of the Northern Weyr the North has been a place where riders were considered the source of conflict for so long that all in the North tend to receive an ill reputation. The tension present in the South exists just as strongly, if not more so, in the North - roiling under the surface and waiting for an opportunity to rear its head under the wrong leadership.
